Hey there, recently bought one of your Nimslos from ebay. I love it!
However, I'm having a tough time finding a flash that works. I've purchased two used 6v strobe flashes and neither have worked (nothing to do with the camera; I just keep getting unlucky with broken used flashes).
Based on the included paper that modern 6v flashes should work, I tried attaching my speedlite:

But that didn't work either.
Do you have any personal recommendations on an affordable flash that works well with the Nimslo? Especially if you know any that are currently or were recently in production? Thank you!
The Lenovo Mirage will do it. Currently $123 at Amazon. The VR180 creator app will even process your image and spit out a wigglegram, but it will have some artifacts. I think you can split the image and process the shot yourself in photoshop and premiere to get a cleaner artifact free wigglegram.

Sure, just use a light meter and make sure you have enough light. This page says the camera has "a fixed aperture of f/9.5, and a fixed shutter speed of 1/100" second.
I like this light meter app. Just punch in f/9.5, enter the ISO of the film you're using, and then adjust the lights til the meter reads 1/100 second in the shadows.
The VR180 mobile app (by Google) for iOS and Android allows you to export animated wigglegrams from the app.
However, I think they need to be taken with a stereo VR180 camera through the app. The only one that worked for me was the Lenovo Mirage (which isn’t a great camera). I wish I could import other stereo images into the app...
Sure! I use gifmaker.me. And then for apps like Instagram that doesn't support GIF I use an app called 'GIF to Video' (Android) but if you have iOS I'm sure you'll find an app that works the same way.
