They apparently have a list of possible alternatives to Discord. But for audio and video channels, I heard Jostle was pretty cool.

Again, not trying to promote anything. I just want to say that AirSend may help solve this particular problem. You can do all the work you need with AirSend, and your clients can still respond and work with you via their email. We are still doing some major developments, but if you are looking for a better tool that works with clients who prefer to use email this may work for you.

Also the channel is private and invite only. so you can create close knit family groups (brother and sis, husband and wife). In other messaging apps signal-to-noise is quite low and they don't have file or task management.
