I use Ant Movie Catalog. Its really good for cataloging. It gets the movie info from IMDB or you can configure from huge list of websites it has. That's really useful if you have lot of non-english movies. http://www.antp.be/software/moviecatalog
I've been using Ant Movie Catalog for years and years and I just love it. You just add the movie to the database and the script will grab all the info it needs for each field, etc, and in the source field I just add where I bought the movie from.
For your movies, you could use Ant Movie Catalog. It can take a while for you to enter your collection, but the plus side is that it will list everything in a clean looking .htm file with posters and all. Also, all the information can be exported to XML, CSV, PDF, literally any type you could think of that you would need to use.
Are you using a program to catalog your movies? If so, this will be a non-issue as most cataloging programs automate the entry and naming process. See Ant Movie Catalog (freeware) or Collectorz.com (shareware).
