Telling people to use Armory3D would be the big FU. From https://armory3d.org/manual/
>Armory is not production ready yet, please consider reading through this manual before you start.
The documentation is almost nonexistent.

I wouldn't recommend something not ready for release either. Maybe one day.
Armory3d have good performance, you should give demo a try again, if the performance is still much worst than you can come to forum to discuss it.
Yes you can do scripting in C/C++/Rust, see here: https://armory3d.org/manual/#/code/wasm
I can suggest armory3d to you but be warned that there are bugs, other than it is absolute awesome
Google Cloud Platform offers some of their services for free (as in you dont get charged as long as you don't exceed the free allotment). And i don't think Blender by itself is a game engine, the only plugin i know that lets it work like a game engine is Armory
I would also be happy if https://opencollective.com/ Open Collective
would be enough but Samsung and the Russian Federation are heavily investing in TRON and Ethereum.
There may be more efficient coins like but Ethereum works, it has a lot of sidechains like r/golemproject which interacts with https://www.blender.org/ Blender which is backed by Ubisoft and works great with https://armory3d.org/ Armory 3D
It seems to me that OpenSource and collectives win :)
You are right we should aim for more minimalist lives, but it will take a few more years until society changes it's behavior. VideoGames help portray a vision of a pefereable future. Whoever is interested could help develop a r/solarpunk game based on https://armory3d.org/ , since then it can be built MIT licensed, free and opensource. would need some brainstorming.
We could do it based on https://armory3d.org/ Armory 3D and even finance it using https://opencollective.com/ Open Collective
No lone wolf projects where we run out of money. this could reall work. I created r/HUESN for such a project
Thank you lets see if https://osgameclones.com/ Open Source Game Clones
Or https://armory3d.org/ Armory 3D
And https://awesomeopensource.com/ Find Open Source By Browsing 7,000 Topics Across 59 ...
Has something to start from
Also just learned about Armory3d an open source game engine built ontop of blender. Looks like they mostly just glued together a bunch of open source tools together, but that's the beauty of open source, isn't it? Anyway, I haven't even downloaded it, but it looks kinda cool from first glance.
haxe is a lot like C# but doesn't require a heavy VM like C# does (though it does require a garbage collector). a lot of devs already know it because of it's popularity for making flash games. it has both an interpreter that's fast to compile to and a native code compiler (that works by generating C++ source). https://armory3d.org/ is using it in basically the way you're describing, as a layer below their node editor scripting language.

> Armory is an open-source 3D game engine with full Blender integration, turning it into a complete game development tool. The result is a unified workflow from start to finish, making you work faster. No more jumping between different applications to constantly export data from one to another.
