I write everything down with carrot app, which makes the whole process fun - http://www.meetcarrot.com/todo/
Each morning I divide up a piece of paper into 6 squares.
• One is meditation
• One is the top things in "carrot"
• One is my current major big work issue - broken down to the tiniest next steps
• One is regular maintenance things (friends, jobs, washing, etc.)
• One is something creative
• One is something from my yearly goals
Then I fill up each one with whatever tasks I can think of.
I only have to complete one thing per square to get full marks for a day, but lots of others get done by means of "positive procrastination" (wanting to do something to avoid something else)
At the end of the day I grade myself out of 6 and put it on my wall calendar. Sometimes I get 5, but usually I have a row of 6s. It's a nice thing to look at, and it lets me know that all the areas of my life are moving forward a little bit, each day.
