This post (and the changes behind it) is reminiscent of earlier communication style, and I mean that in a good way.
I definitely appreciate the transparency, background and how quickly you guys are looking to get these fixes in place.
On a related note, any info you could share with us builder-pro users about the hipfire/ADS cancel-fire bug?
Edit: just noticed that it was added to the Trello board with a status of "Fixed in Future Release". Never mind on my question then, that's good enough (though, I do hope that's more of a near-future release).
Just want to thank you for bringing this to our attention. I've reported it to our QA team and we're looking into these reports.
UPDATE: We're still investigating this but don't worry, it's just a visual bug that happens at endgame for some players. All of your experience is still granted but your tier may sometimes appear as 0 even though you are a different level. Continue to follow the issue on Trello here.
Eve Online
A: My corp sees that stooge's empire tower has shiny labs, we want the blueprints inside. So we declare war, and lay siege to his tower.
B: Stooge removes blueprints JUST in time, but doesn't manage to rescue anything else. We grab the valuables and leave.
C: I log on mining alt with no history or affiliation with my corp. I then fly to the system (in a mining barge), act like a total noob and proceed to "sympathize" with the stooge about griefers. After a short bit of communication, I offer to help move what gear he has left (mining barges have a large cargo hold).
D: I tell my corpmate to log back in. I grab the most valuable remaining gear, stealing the loot flags my alt hostile to my corp. I tell stooge I am being attacked by 1 hostile and need assistance. As soon as stooge tells me his is en route, I leave, head for a different system, drop off the loot, and leave the mining barge and switch out to a free "insurance" ship.
E: Corpmate kills Stooge's shiny fit ship, and loots it's corpse, fills up with what little remains of the tower and splits the profits with me 50/50
F: I tell Stooge that my alt was killed by my corpmate. Stooge buys me a replacement mining barge, which I sell. Then Stooge offers my alt a position in his corporation.
G: After 3 months I convince Stooge and Stooge's few other corpmates that I am well skilled for production now. They give me access to lots of resources and the blueprints we didn't get to steal earlier. I empty the corp wallet, transfer all the resources to my personal hanger, and safely tuck the blueprints in my cargohold.
H: I leave the corp, sending everyone in it a note of apology. Stooge puts a massive bounty on my alt's head. I kill my alt with my main (which means I get the monetary reward) sell all the booty, and proceed to waste the small fortune on suiciding into much larger groups.
Update: We've added this issue to our Issue Tracker, we'll update this card and thread once we've discovered a fix. Thanks again everyone for all the helpful details and making us aware of this problem!
Hey there, thanks for the report!
We're looking into this now. Please let us know which platform you're playing on below as well as any other helpful information you may have in the comments.
Sorry about that. This is a bug but will take a client patch to address; it will be fixed in a future build.
Mouse+keyboard users can work around it by left-clicking on the X and then right-clicking twice on something else, but I'm not aware of a similar workaround for controller users.
Cheers, Michael Noland
tl;dw - no real info, if you follow this subreddit you don't need to watch.
Service interruption on APR 12 - they're sorry. They'll explain more later.
Weapon swapping. They'll keep an eye on feedback and will be working on weapon equip animations.
Ongoing improvements. Tracking more QoL (Quality of Life) issues, as can be seen on their Trello board. Examples of QoL improvemnts: Builder Pro controls, peeking concerns, friendly trap colours. Post to follow "soon" with more fixes.
Boogie down contest. More here (I updated link to a Youtube video of the winner)
Seriously. I want no fucking part of this. Every tedious bit of hero worship I get plastered with is only used by Reddit-at-large to "hold me to a higher standard" (which basically means "I want you to only do things that I agree with so that when you do things I disagree with I can hate-stalk you and chide you for not being a better person"). Know what's worse then half of Reddit wanting to suck your dick? A quarter of reddit wringing their hands with furrowed brow because you said something that upset their delicate sensibilities and since they wanted to suck your dick before but now they're not so sure their self-doubt turns into self-loathing and we can't have that mama would be sad so BURN THE WITCH
Let's get one thing straight:
There are genuinely good people on Reddit. People who help others every day. There have been genuinely good acts performed on Reddit. People helping anonymous strangers and hard-luck cases because they are fundamentally kind. With any luck, this post will fill up with them - we're off to a good start already.
But I am not one of those people.
I'm here for three things:
1) to openly mock rape victims
2) to troll and frustrate film aficionados
3) to get admitted narcotics traffickers back on the streets sooner
The last fucking thing I need is one of my bottomless army of concern-trolls saying "a true Reddit Hero would never have used the f-word, you horrible, horrible man." So I'll take my poop and grin and that will be that.
Deal?
Well this will be tough to top. I accidentally burned down my parents house. No one was in the house thank god, but the guilt I feel is pretty intense. It was about 10 years ago and it still makes me queasy still to just write that. Yeah yeah, it was an accident, but it is pretty much the worst accident ever. I left a candle burning in my room too close to the shelf it was sitting on, left the room for awhile, and it caught the whole shelf on fire, which spread unbelievably fast. The smoke alarm went off and I ran upstairs, but it had literally spread to the wall already. I tried to get a bucket of water, but by the time I did that it had consumed the whole room. So, it was basically time to just get the F out of the house and that was it.
Insurance basically made my parents financially whole, but things have never really been the same. They totally forgived me and were so understanding, but even though they quickly recovered and have a really nice home now, they just never quite seem to me like they are "home." Every time I think that it makes me want to curl into a ball.
Anyway, good luck topping that one.
Thanks for the video! If this every happens to you again please report it as a bug by going into the menu, selecting the Feedback button, and labeling it as a bug.
Please title it as "Invisible Wall" and then include where you were when it happened. Really strong in squads, and even a bit in duo, but in solo it's not as strong at all and you know it.
> So if you get 3 kills in Retail you stand a solid chance of getting a Scar out of a vending machine for 400 wood!
No you don't. It's full random about both the item and the component, so saying "solid chance" is a huge overstatement.
> an item that you claim builds a base for you
~~One item slot for a 1x1 base, aka 50 woods. Yeah... So strong nobody will ever pick it up after a couple days. Especially on PC.~~
EDIT : Ok this is a big ass base. Maybe it's too much, we'll see !
> to just help 12 year olds win
And I'm sorry but even tho I agree with some of your points, being rude about it and talking to people like you are makes you look like a dick. Not saying you are one, but putting a front of rage and hatred isn't really helping your cause imo.
Chomsky has been saying this for a long time, and now there is proof: Israel (and therefore the US) is punishing the Palestinians for voting the wrong way.
Excellent advice, can I just add that there's an app called Habitica where you can input your daily tasks and habits (or weekly/monthly/however many times you want to do whatever task) and it plays like a little RPG gamifying your tasks into monsters to defeat: https://habitica.com/static/features it's a really fun way of motivating yourself to do the things that feel like a huge chore.
The only thing I am missing is more combos/fighting moves. Reapeating the same 5 moves over and over gets repetitive. I would like to have more options to master.
Did they say anything about if they planned something like that?
EDIT: I found something on their trello: https://trello.com/c/wz03sRhF/70-weapon-and-combat-variety yeah they plan opn doing that. Now i am hyped
> Epic has a problem communicating to their community (This is Obvious in Fortnite/Paragon)
They have a trello page that you can view all the current items they're working on. For a company handling the biggest game in the world right now, they are pretty responsive to this forum of almost half a million users.
> They will always push cosmetics and game features over extremely necessary fixes (Especially when it comes to matchmaking)
Cosmetics and Game Features are not the same as in-game fixes. Not every person they hire is a coder who can scrub the huge amounts of code a team wrote and jump right in and fix an issue. It's like finding a needle in a shit-hay stack. One fix here can cause another 10 problems.
> They will only make changes when the community is 100% fed up with their BS, and have made tons of rant posts/protests on their forums, videos, and any of their social media.
The loudest people are often the smallest in numbers. Just because there is an issue to a small percentage, it doesn't signify that it's a game breaking issue. The largest population of players are playing this game just fine.
You are going to get a lot of people complaining about the game because they are bad, and choosing to rant over it than practice and get better. That's how gaming is that's how it'll always be.
I knew it! I said in the original thread that something seemed fishy (why would he hide the tub in his own closet? He's supposed to be a thief, not an idiot.)
Looks like your step sister was making some plans. I mean, why the f would she put the tub in her... (step-nephew who's the same age????)'s closet? The container full of money was under a bunch of junk? Why did she put it under a bunch of junk????
Kid was planning to steal the fuck out of that, but wanted to test the security standards first. You need to lay some fucking smack down with your step-mom. That little shit tried to steal the money and pin it on your son, and that's BULLSHIT.
Do not let this drop.
I highly doubt it has anything to do with cost.
A couple things first the proprietary standards, yes MS is finally learning that corps dont want a standard for their docs that is owned by another corp that might go out of business and leave them with docs they cant open.
More importantly I think, the world has seen over the past few years that american corps will do absolutely anything the government asks of them with little complaint legality be damned.
The FEAR IS NSA BACKDOORS.
Even our allies, the brits and the israelis, replace the software we give them in our military equipment with open source. They arent trying to save money, they dont want the US to be able to shut down the plane they bought, mid flight.
Though in many cases, YOU CAN SAVE A SHIT TON with open source.
just replacing office with open office in a small office can save you a ton. And yes MS office is nicer, but they both get the job done
some source, ISrael, brits and australians want the software for our f-35s
>Access to the F-35’s software source code remains a live issue for the Israelis, as it has been with the Australians [PDF], British, and others.
the russians on the other hand, sell the source code with their mig sales.
Sous vide cooked meats are deceptive. First of all, cooked to the same temperature they will tend to look redder that meat cooked with a more traditional method.
Second, pathogen destruction begins at 130°F, which would be just on the upper end of rare for beef. A piece of meat held at 130°F for a little under two hours is considered pasteurized by the FDA and (IIRC) safe for consumption by individuals with compromised immune systems. At 135°F the required time drops to 36 minutes.
That piece of meat, cooked sous vide, would look as red or redder than the burger the OP posted. I've cooked beef and lamb at 135°F that looked uncooked on the inside, but had great texture and taste.
It's pretty cool stuff.
Original study citation: Patterns of widespread decline in North American bumble bees; Sydney A. Camerona, Jeffrey D. Loziera, James P. Strange, Jonathan B. Koch, Nils Cordesa, Leellen F. Solterd, and Terry L. Griswold; November 2010 PNAS.
It was only 4 cherry picked species, and only those with high Nosema bombi infections + low genetic diversity within their populations. Already we have a problem because populations at risk of decline from ongoing high rates of infection are inherently genetically slim.
The study and model are so complex that we (a small, admittedly self-righteous group of entomologists, climate modelers and ecologists) spent over 2 hours today trying to understand how they had "corrected" 100-year-old data with unknown sampling methods and how they constructed their model from the historical data.
Hysteria about native bee decline pays my stipend and does generate interest in their conservation, so I'll keep my criticisms brief. There is little conclusive cause for alarm at this point, and this study is not conclusive or even reliable at this point.
It's already in the works, IRL & creative getting removed and replaced with 10 new categories, one of those being ASMR.
Yes, I've created a public to-do list you can read here. That does include game modes, achievements, beefing up the singleplayer Arcade mode, server options.
My biggest wish list items would be Steam Workshop, a level editor, and local multiplayer. They're also the most technically challenging to add, but I also know how much of an impact they could have on the community. So I'm trying to find a balance between these big-ticket items and smaller updates that keep things fresh in the meantime.
Would love to check out a console port once the game is a bit more stable. I actually never liked console FPS games (since Goldeneye 64), but this game actually works really well with a controller given that it's not so twitchy, and I think it would make an awesome couch multiplayer game.
The issue is that storm chests weren't suppose to have schematics in them. They just snuck in there so when you get one from a storm chest it isn't registering anything. Nothing is overridden or anything like that. We have the Trello card for it here.
I respect Tripwire, I'm a huge fan of the Killing Floor and Red Orchestra/Rising Storm series; in fact RO2 is my most played game (I seriously love hardcore shooters). On the downside, they often release games in a 'nearly finished' state, and Killing Floor has paid cosmetics/weapons/loot crates which I'm really not a fan of. That said, they fix up their games post-release with free updates and content, and their sound design/weapon animations are second to none, the attention to detail is admirable. If you want to see what's next for RS2 they've got a public trello where they list their roadmap.
But, I thought the market wasn't there. I thought Linux people wouldn't buy the Unity because the ones that would buy it are already using it with dual boot. I thought Unity wouldn't be able to make any money on that so there wouldn't be a point.
Competition is a wonderful thing I guess. Nice to see the passive aggressive Unity devs against Linux bite it ;)
Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, and arguably George W. Bush (had a grenade thrown at him, but it was a dud). Just because they survived the attempts doesn't mean that they are exempt from the intentions of your list
If we want to get technical, Lee Harvey Oswald was a socialist, which is left-wing not right-wing, so we can add John F. Kennedy to the list on the other side of this ridiculous left vs. right dichotomy we are trying to create.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: in my eyes, what Unknown Worlds is doing with Subnautica sets the bar for how transparent, disciplined, early access game development should be handled.
The scope was well-defined right from the very beginning, and the team has done an exemplary job of adhering to their vision.
Content updates are well-organized, themed, and released on a regular basis. Almost every update brings something new to enjoy.
Communication with fans has been regular, professional, and relatively free of bullshit. The devs have publicly shared their task tracker, as well as the their roadmap to launch and beyond. At any point, fans can see what's recently been done, what's currently being worked on, and what's waiting to be done. This not only shows how well organized they are, it also shows how confident they are in their team's abilities to get things done when they say they will.
I bought the early access game about 2 years ago, and even back then I felt like the game was fun enough to justify the money I spent. And it's only gotten better since. I've restarted the game 4 times thus far, and each of my playthroughs have been between 40-60 hours. I'm currently sitting at a little under 200 hours played, we aren't even at v1.0 yet.
I fully expect Subnautica to be a game I enjoy for years and years. I also expect to be a fan of Unknown Worlds for a while.
Headline is just a little misleading:
"And while some parts of the world get to celebrate Public Domain Day this year with the freeing of works by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Paul Klee, Leon Trotsky, Walter Benjamin and others, here in the US, we come up empty yet again."
So works did enter the public domain, just not in the US.

I think that about covers it for me.
Hey there! Just wanted to drop in and mention that we're looking into this and you can follow it's status on our Issues Tracker here.
As a temporary workaround just avoid searching for a game while in the "home" screen while playing.
I'm glad Subnautica is on that list. That project is my personal go-to example of how a game with "transparent development" should be handled. I.E. They don't promise the the earth and sky; they seem to have had the scope under control from the beginning; and their roadmap to launch is organized, easy-to-understand, and reasonable.
Despite the fact that it's still in early access, I've already gotten close to 100 hours of enjoyment out of it. I got a solid 20+ hours of enjoyment when I first downloaded the game almost a year ago. It's a complete game now, as far as I'm concerned, and each new content update adds something interesting and substantial to the experience.
Thanks for raising this concern.
We want to make sure all players and fans have the means to share their feedback with each other and with us. This subreddit is going to be a particularly good resource for that.
That's also why we have a public road map (https://trello.com/b/swzuqjxq/the-culling-early-access-development-roadmap) and Known Issues list (https://trello.com/b/sRUt8hNj/the-culling-known-issues).
The Streamer audience has a couple of other perks but as you said is by no means sufficient by themselves. In my personal opinion, the additional value is mainly the real-time "see what they saw" kind of feedback (clearly articulating your intended feedback purely in writing is challenging) and also to see how people watching perceive the same issue (a very quick "yeah that's bad" or "that's not really fair" or "that happened to me too" etc.). And while it's often rowdy, unfiltered does have its own merits in the right dose. :)
If y'all have more ideas on how/where we should look for feedback, please share them!
The animator, Anthony F. Schepperd, has another music video titled Wail To God for the band Ape School. The animation is similar at times and is NSFW (literally mountains and mountains of breasts).
Did you know that The Great Gatsby was written in 1925 by F. Scott Fitzgerald? It's considered one of the best American novels ever written and is on Time's greatest 100 novels list.
It's still boring though.
We're currently investigating this one. Can follow along with our Trello card here.
When I was in uni, I had a difficult time studying math. Even though I was good at it, the material was always more boring than the comp sci classes (i.e., major classes). What I found helped the most was sitting someplace nice (think a shaded bench in a park) and reading the textbook aloud for a set period of time (around 20 minute chunks for 1 1/2 hours -- check out the Pomodoro technique).
Even if you find it boring, you know you've put in a consistent amount of effort. A consistent amount of effort will usually get you at least a B-. A consistent amount of effort plus a little extra studying before an exam will get you to a B+. Consistent effort may also make the material more intriguing because you understand it better, and that newly sparked interest may get you an A.
It's important to remember that you don't need to get an A+ in every subject all the time. Chasing a perfect GPA will only lead to burnout, and a 4.0 is not much more meaningful than a 3.8. If anything, a perfect GPA means that you sacrificed personal growth for minimal gains and you don't know how to prioritize work. I say this as someone who sustained a 4.0 for the first half of uni and only earned 1 B per 5 classes a semester for the remainder (otherwise all As).
Enjoy the subjects you like by putting in extra time. Respect the subjects you don't like by putting in consistent amount of less time. Finally, be open to possibly expanding your interests.
FRIENDS: there's so much amazing feedback and bug reports, but it's hard to reply to everyone and keep track of it all; we made a trello board so we can keep it organized and everyone can see/upvote things:
(please upvote this comment, but leave replies empty!)
r/suicidewatch can pretty much be summed up in its entirety, because every single post elicits nearly the same array of responses from different people.
A. People who tell the poster that its not too late and give other general sentimental messages
B. People with experience of suicidal thoughts who argue based on their experience that its not too late.
C. People with experience and who are still considering suicide relating to the poster's feelings point blank.
D. People with or without experience offering philosophical advice in an attempt to appeal to the posters reason.
E. People with or without experience advising the poster to seek professional help.
F. People with or without experience advising the poster to engage themselves in some specific activity, be it exercise, socialization, or some other activity to relieve depression.
G. People with or without experience who ask the poster a question in an attempt to engage them in an extended conversation, or offer to talk with them.
The sad part is, even the entire spectrum of advice one can possibly offer is often not enough. How could that be? How could the efforts of tens, if not hundreds of people at a time, to help one individual, be ineffective? It is a mystery. Perhaps it is because none of us truly has any non-emotional, non-self-supported reason for living. Equally so, none of us has any non-emotional, non-self-supported reason for dying. Here we are, attempting to support another person, but no matter how much effort, it will fail if they are not, eventually, the one who comes to support themselves.
That's a possibility if there is enough demand for it.
If this went it, it would more than likely be put into the ini (config) file so it doesn't have to be localized and what not.
Update: Issue has been added to Trello board - https://trello.com/b/ZOwMRlcW/killing-floor-2-community-issue-roadmap
He knew what he was doing the whole time, too. He probably could have forded the thing if I really wanted to, notice the snorkel.
Hey guys. Work on the New Vegas map had slowed down a bit due to finals and other obligations, but now that they're over we can start working at full speed again. I'm also happy to say that for the past couple of weeks I have been working with the wasteland overhaul team to get some awesome new assets into the map.
If you want to see how the project is progressing you can head over to our and trello page .
If you would like to see about joining the team check out our discord.
John/Huggybear:
This is Chad from Austin's Pizza Call Center. I'm glad you enjoyed my doodle enough to post it on Reddit.
I was having a bad day at work last night, but the request on your online order made my night. Figured I should oblige such a creative request the best I could. I posted the doodle on my FaceBook account (www.facebook.com/groundxero) shortly before e-mailing it to you. I figured I might get an e-mail back from you and a few comments on my post. Little did I realize by the time I came in to work tonight the thing would literally have gone viral.
I want to assure naysayers that this was REAL, not a faked occurrence, nor was it some elaborate marketing ploy by Austin's Pizza. (Although upper management, I'm sure, is appreciative of the publicity.)
I would, however, like to take this opportunity to capitalize on this unforeseen event with a little shameless self-promotion of my art through our website, www.SCABFARM.com.
I literally just signed up for this account tonight when I learned about all the buzz about this, so I hope I'm not violating any Reddit rules by self promoting.
Thanks again, John, for making my night at work a little more entertaining, and keep those requests coming!
Sincerely, Chad F. (aka Xero)
I think you're overlooking quite a lot of people here. Mainly Wesley Snipes: A) He refers to himself in the third person B) He has a long "magical" hair growing from his ear that he refuses to cut and that has to be digitally removed from his movies C) While filming Blade, he stayed in character ON AND OFF set and would make his wife and kids refer to him by his character name D) He's a believer in that bullshit Egyptian "I am god" religion E) Refuses to pay taxes F) He once beat Halle Berry so badly that she is almost deaf in one ear G) Just fucking look at him.
You say Valve doesn't know what to do with CS as if it needs some sort of new gimmick to bring in new players. That is really not priority imo. Historically the CS community prefers consistency which makes sense for a competitive game. CS really contrasts dota in the sense that it doesn't revolve around complex ever-changing metas but is instead built on a few fundamental skills. It's like beauty in it's simplicity if that doesn't sound too corny. Aim, movement, teamwork, map knowledge, opponent knowledge. Give the game consistency and let the skill of the players create the enjoyment.
So when you say fix the bugs that really is priority. We as a community have no confidence that issues with the game will be fixed because we get almost nothing to go off of until an update full of shit from out of nowhere.
I've been met with downvotes when I mention EpicGames and UT4 but imagine having this level of detail about the future of the game. Having a communication channel goes a long way to instill a sense of confidence in your community. Right now when I click a /u/wickedplayer494 update thread I pretty much have no idea what to expect.
Knowing about wtf is happening is a good first step. I think as toxic or w/e you want to call the community are if Valve opened a discussion through some structured issue/enhancement tracker we might even be able to make some headway on other stuff like jumping accuracy or first bullet inaccuracy. I'm sure there's some benefit to letting more than the 8 CSGO devs tackle problems like these.
For people out of the loop: Nebulous has expressed funding issues recently. Since Sia isn't an ICO and they've only sold a few SiaFund's (and the renting of storage is as of yet too low for this to result in meaningful revenue for Nebulous) to stay above water last year, they have encountered problems with lack of revenue to fund new developers they're looking to hire.
Sia has come a great long way on the small team it has (the product is usable today and there's >3PB of storage available), but the project is really in need of some more manpower. The usability of the client is not perfect (albeit much better than it was a few months ago), and there's some very important features on the roadmap to add to the core platform; E.g. streaming, file sharing and small file support (40MB is the lowest space a file will require today).
The roadmap can be found here for the interested.
It's too bad. He was certainly a good programmer. I'm not too surprised, though. He probably had no idea how reliant everybody would become on his mod, combined with the crazy amount of pressure he received over the holidays, the fact that he's 15, how hard it is to stay on top of such a volatile environment like Minecraft is. All we can hope is that bukkit will turn out to be all it is advertised to be.
If you like the dynamic of "kill the laundry monster every morning", give Habitica a try. It gamifies to-do lists, is free to play, helps this SAHD keep track of the various work that needs to be done (both the one-offs and the recurring items), and makes it all a bit more fun. Particularly good for those "I don't want to clean the mirrors, but I'm so close to leveling up, I'll get it done" motivations.
The Android app is a bit wanting, but folks speak well of the iOS version. I just leave a tab open to it.

My god! They're everywhere! How long have you known about this??? [NSFW if you can't figure it out]
I see your Bill Hicks and raise you a George Carlin:
"Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. F*ck Hope.'"
From Unreal Engine Wiki: >Epic now considers Linux UE4 Editor "done" and ready for Early Access. Therefore, please use it, break it, and report about it. Know that there are still bugs in the Editor, so ymmv.

That's not true though is it? All the bugs that everyone is complaining about is getting fixed in this weeks patch, you can keep track of them here...
The only reason they didn't get fixed last week is because patches are every 2 weeks now.
Yea, but there's too many. Especially for IRL streamers like Jake who might traverse quite a few of the sub-categories in a single stream. IRL actually describes his streams better than any specific sub-category. Look at these: https://trello.com/c/x2SEyBoK/30-add-new-streaming-categories-that-are-more-specific-than-irl-and-creative
In a single Jakenbake stream could frequently be categorized in "Food & Drink," "Music & Performing Arts," (he frequently runs into street performers or events), "Just Chatting," "Travel & Outdoors," and "Special Events."
I guess he'd usually place himself in the "Travel & Outdoors" section, but he fits the "Just Chatting," and "Food & Drink" categories very well too.
I'd like to start off by acknowledging a couple of things: You're right, this has been a persistent problem for a long time. But while it may not have been readily apparent, we've actually taken a LOT of action in regards to this. Just off hand: We've completely rewritten voice chat, we've added an automatic curation system that identifies servers that are struggling and moves seamlessly to a new one, we've fixed numerous bugs that were causing audio drops outs and are even in the middle of testing out some more upgrades to the voice servers, right now.
However, it hasn't fixed this issue. We know and all I can really say is I'm sorry. We've tried to fix it, we want to fix but without being able to reproduce it all of our fixes are guesses at best.
To this end, I instituted a program called "Bug Bounties" where users can earn real world rewards for providing us with Consistent Repro Steps for hard to reproduce bugs, so that we are able to reproduce it in-house. The program runs out of the testers server (discord.gg/discord-testers) and the public ticket for it can be found here.
Now, I totally understand your frustration and you even have a lot of valid points. But what I'm hoping you'll understand is that we've never stopped trying and won't until we get this damn bug.
To those who are inevitably going to come in here and say "OMG WHEN DID MINECRAFT GET UNICORNS‽", this is not in the game normally. It's the result of a mod called Mo' Creatures.
From the about page:
> Like the cliché goes, we started Obsidian because Erica couldn't find anything that can satisfy her need to build a personal knowledge base. She has tried all kinds of software from TiddlyWiki to TheBrain; nothing felt right though. > Quarantine finally gave us the chance to start making it. After thinking about it some more, we decided on the three most fundamental directions of Obsidian: - Local-first and plain text; - Link as first-class citizen; - Make it super extensible.
It has a strong active core community and now the development started again with full speed. This is the first big community developed patch after a good 6 months downtime where we had to setup the infrastructure and all that. Many more patches are scheduled with several of their features ready. You can track the development over here: https://trello.com/b/91ApENY6/ns2-cdt-development-tracker
These error reports are misleading if you don't know Todoist (which is a great app).
When you type a task, Todoist parses the text and extracts due date, time, priority, etc. from what you've typed. It's quite nice.
Hi guys,
I'm the one-man dev studio behind Tales Of Glory. First thanks to ImmersiveGamer83 for the pre-release review.
Feel free to ask all the questions you want. I'll be pleased to give all informations on Tales Of Glory.
As for the first question, yes damages, like many other things use physic, and are calculated with weapon mass, swing speed, displacement speed, and hit location.
EDIT : The public features roadmap for Tales Of Glory is accessible on Trello. you will be able to follow each improvement and vote for features.
https://trello.com/b/4W4cbqXU/tales-of-glory-roadmap
EDIT 2 :
Hi guys,
I've been updating the game with new features. - refined animations with better blending - Full haptic feedback based on physic - Ability to push foes with your shield - Update for the order system with the ability to select your whole army or all units of a class (light infantry, heavy, lancers, archers) in one click. U can still select units one by one - Ability to spawn distinct class of enemy in the tutorial - Foes fighting against you dynamically follow your weapon with their gaze - The lag system have been updated with new parameters and is more realistic - I've managed to create a quick reaction system for combat based on IK and move detection. Foes are now able to parry your swing with a quick move of shield or weapon. It's not easy see it in game but combat are a bit more dynamic. I really like the result
Everything have been fully tested (i've lost my hand in the process due to a full speed impact on my office door during testing... ouch)....
I still have to update the tutorial with new texts and i'll be pushing everything on the main branch before launch.
I really felt like I was drowning my first pre-req semester. None of the study methods that got me through a poli sci degree were working, and it was super disheartening. I got very lucky that before my next semester our school had a prep/study seminar for free. They really pushed the Pomodoro Technique, which worked wonders for me. Turns out trying to study for a couple of hours straight was a terrible idea - at least for my brain. I would just burn out on the material constantly.
The other thing that really helped me was that it normalized the idea that I am learning this material from bottom up. I do not have the same knowledge base to draw from for sciences that I do humanities - something I didn't realize I relied so heavily upon. Pre-req's are all about building up that base of knowledge - allow yourself to learn, but don't let perfection be the enemy of good.
The biggest challenge since Covid though has been figuring out what information to focus on, just like you. I can only speak from my experience, but for the most part, I rarely read textbooks anymore. The science professors on our campus test almost exclusively off the lecture slides they post online. So, I make a Quizlet set for every test and use their adaptive learning feature, with the lecture slides as a guide. Since I started doing that I consistently score in the 88-92 range on most exams.
I'll leave this up because I'd be interested if anyone has anything to say about it, but a little more inspection has me thinking this is actually unlikely: Pine Bluff is 70 miles from Beebe and is most definitely down river.
I admit, I'm an older student and had rituals long before grad school. Routine has been a part of my life for a long time.
Once I send the kids off to their respective schools, I drive in to mine.
At 8am I either go attend a class or go read a new paper until it is time for class. In short mornings are for reading and doing homework. Also, I use Mendeley and file each paper by catagory as I read it.
Lunch is social. My friends and I get together to talk and laugh whether we packed our lunches or headed out to eat.
Afternoons are for research. My afternoons can be highly variable, but with the kids there is a regular schedule of picking them up and doing their stuff in the evenings.
Go to bed before 11 pm.
I've found Habitica to be helpful for keeping track of to do lists and routine things.
ctrl+f "fake".. yeah look at how different the font of the "funny stuff" is from the headings and such. Also, if they didn't try to pack it in with all kinds of hivemind jerkoff shit i may not have noticed but a real report of an incident like that would read like this:
Came to work drunk/on drugs. Rude to customers and speaking in gibberish. Terminated on the spot.
Sorry, but Managers of Dominos Pizza don't write these reports for the entertainment of the internet. Just the facts. Reciting Pi is where it jumped the shark.
People, there are a lot of ignorant posts here.
First - What goes into Medical costs is determined by Health and Human Services.
Second - Very few (if any) health care companies have an MLR below 80%. Most operate around 83-87% across all their products.
Third - Profits for health care companies are in the 3-8% range.
When you look at the profits of for-profit hospitals and drug companies, you all might start to get the picture of why our healthcare costs are so high. Oh, and quit smoking, drinking, and eat a f*cking salad. That alone could reduce our premiums by above 50% (80% of costs in the US are caused by 5 conditions which are primarily lifestyle driven).
Yeah, bring on the down votes. But most of you here are just as uninformed as the right wing people you bitch about.
I work for the 9-1-1. I received calls for people driving recklessly because
A) They were drunk
B) They were old
C) They were tired
D) They were using their cell phone
E) They were putting on make-up
F) They were handicapped
G) They were speeding
H) They were having a heart attack
I) They had just swallowed a whole bottle of pills in an attempted suicide and decided to ran away with their car because their spouse had called 9-1-1
I never, not once, ever received a call for someone driving recklessly because their were high on weed.
So in conclusion: dont drive stoned; but also don't drive if your old, tired, gonna use your cell phone, have heart problems, are handicapped, need to put on make-up, think you are a F1 driver or just attempted suicide by swallowing a whole bottle of medication.
Fuck it, just take the bus.
Vertcoin has lately been tipped as the people's coin. Meanwhile, the community has been discussing rebrands and other methods to get word out about Vertcoin.
The devs have not been as keen about what is admittedly a more shallow use of their time, and expressed their preference of sticking to the roadmap (lightning network, atomic swaps, iOS Wallet, and re-introducing stealth addresses, all seen here).
This here is the devs publicly saying that the community's voices have been heard. Another reminder of the integrity of the developers and why support has grown so much for what some onlookers see as just another humble something-coin.
I would say most of the weight issues were achived by cutting your carbohydrates. I don't believe cutting out red meat had anything to do with it. If so very little.
Looking at your list (simplified):
-red meat = -protein -fat -soda = -carbs -water -white bread = -carbs -white pasta = -carbs -white rice = -carbs +whole grain = +carbs +vitamin complexes +veggies = +water +carbs +vitamin complexes +mineral complexes +lean meat = +protein +fish = +protein +fats +water = +water = -p-f-c-w-c-c-c+c+v+w+c+v+m+p+p+f+w = 2v+p+m+w-2c
Well done.
I love the marine thing. An over hyped marine lived near us and came after myself and my brother, 12 and 13 because our football went near his house. My dad who had a stroke, not much use of his left side, came out and invited him over to "discuss" the problem at hand. The punk had veins sticking out of his neck and was screaming at my dad.
Pops, leaning on a stick, leg swept the marine dork, shifted his weight onto his bad leg and stick, stomped the guys solar plexus in what had to be three seconds. The hooya was left writhing and crying and gasping for air. We were too blown away to even cheer. Pops casually turned and limped back into our house. Before we get all marine-y here my daughter (dad rolling over in grave) was a corpsman in Iraq and Afghanistan.
God bless all the tough dedicated Marines out there who shut the F*#k up and fight the fight. In a recent interview another leather jacket wearing feauxstud, Bush, with a simpleton's smirk on his Alfred E. Newman, said "it was real hard for him to make the "deshishon" to go "agin" his "free market" principals(?) and do the TARP thing. So, that and the two wars Bush initiated along with the free market "thing" has left us as a financial colony of China and emptied the coffers...Obviously this blowhard needs to learn how to read.
Like my dad used to say The army does the fighting, the marines get the credit and the navy gets the pay. One caveat, the old man was a staff sergeant under Patton during WWII.
Hey there!
Just wanted to bring full vision to the fact that we're aware of this and investigating it. We've also created a Trello Card if you want to check it's current status as we work towards a solution.
Thanks for letting us know! I'll get some people spun up to take a look at this.
UPDATE: We've created a Trello card on the issue. We are working to get this resolved. If you happen to have a mouse.. try plugging it in and see if you can get past that. We've seen reports that this temporarily solves it.
Hey Sure_Ill_Draw_That, I know you're busy but can you draw me a picture of a marmot smoking a cigar and holding a katana? I need it for a class project.
This is amazing so fast too! They have got various standard libraries, and you can vote here for new libraries. I don't see wxWidgets in the list :(. But practically I'm always connected to the internet and the speed is pretty decent to just use google. The off chance the internet goes down I will probably forget this. It would be better as a standalone downloadable instead of caching inside webbrowser which could be deleted automatically which defeats the purpose of offline.
Whelp, I guess the cat is out of the bag ;) Thanks for the early feedback, guys!
We have a Trello board going in case you'd like to report a bug or leave a suggestion: https://trello.com/b/XMhyqciA/chessable-open-beta
Much more to come in the future. Hope everyone enjoys the site!
If you have trouble with your to-dos and shit, I can highly reccommend habitica. Its basically a Role Play Game where you have to complete To Do's and Dailies and get rewarded with XP. You can group up, fight monsters and do lots more. I guess its not for everyone but you should check it out
I wish I could say it gets better at the higher end establishments for cooks, but it really doesn't. I work in a four star hotel, and I can tell you it's not much better here. Along with the crappy hours and chaos of the kitchen there is also the ego of the executive chef. If your lucky enough to end up in banquets, or prep then it's not that bad, but the guys on the line get the short end. I no longer work F&B, but when I did at the hotel I can tell you I was always polite to the kitchen even in the craziest of times.
Note to all servers: Spend a few minutes learning the names of the kitchen staff. Greet them everyday by name, and ask how their doing. Be polite despite how badly you want to yell at someone. Never tell the kitchen how much you make.
To all those still waiting tables keep up the good work. I still tip 20% or more unless they really fucked up bad.
Quick TipJar update:
In about a week, changes will be pushed live to allow users to tip in popular fiat currencies (e.g. USD, euro, GBP,..) as well as values like "a coffee" or "a beer". Ultimately these values will be converted to, and sent as, ether.
Shouldn't be more than a couple weeks after that to support all the popular ERC20 tokens.
Are there any features that you guys are really eager to have after that? I have a roadmap, but no strong preferences on what is implemented next.
EDIT: Thank you for the gold!! <3
Our team is actually working on a project that'll bring all olde' weapons, consumables, armors, clothes, plants, critters, vehicles and much more to make Fallout 4 feel more like the older ones. Our trello: https://trello.com/b/f7uQCmk6/wasteland-overhaul Our discord: https://discord.gg/VnDQB8X

So sartre's friend calls up sartre's house and get's his wife
wife: hello?
Friend: hey. Is sartre available?
w: no, he's a bit busy right now.
f: Do you know when he'll be free?
w: Well, he's been trying to figure that out for years!
If you still have the computer then I would do almost exactly what Liar_tuck suggested (minus the f-bomb). I wouldn't argue, I would simply smile, say "ok", uninstall everything and hand them back the computer. Simply say, "I'm sorry you to feel this way" No explanation. Nothing. You stated you run a business and customers (acquaintances in your case) change their minds often, especially when it comes to prices.
We're currently working on a mod that'll add all weapons from previous games and more to Fallout 4. Check out our trello :> https://trello.com/b/f7uQCmk6/wasteland-overhaul

Almost a year ago, she defended Limbaugh for saying it.
> Rush Limbaugh was using satire ... . I didn't hear Rush Limbaugh calling a group of people whom he did not agree with 'f-ing retards,' and we did know that Rahm Emanuel, as has been reported, did say that. There is a big difference there.
I have watched quite a few episodes, but the part they never seem to show (unless I missed that episode) is HOW DO THEY MAKE ALL THE MACHINES THAT MAKE THE REST OF THE STUFF? Those automated factories are f**king amazing!
As much as I like competition, Bear has been working on a new editor for quite awhile now with prominent functionality covering what’s on the requests site. Here’s a link: https://bear.app/alpha/. Given the developers’ recent entry into the writing app market, I do not think the lifetime subscription scheme ($35.00) is representative of the prospect of longer-term future development. What a great start, though. The app is really clean.
I would love to see a Trello page for PUBG. God I love that website so much!
Keeping your players informed is never a bad thing, and the more feedback that you get about ideas, the better!
After reading through the comments here, it's pretty evident that a lot of people here don't have the slightest idea what happened during the Vietnam War. The only thing exceptional about the My Lai Massacre is the extraordinary amount of U.S. media attention it received—mostly thanks to Life magazine.
The My Lai Massacre was a minor footnote in Operation Wheeler/Wallowa. In fact, four kilometers down the road from My Lai was a virtually identical massacre going on in My Khe. The operation methodically plotted out targets right on top of villages, which would be followed up by search and destroy operations on the ground. I know the media like to make Colonel Calley look like some kind of lone madman, but plotting bombing coordinates takes coordination with someone in Washington D.C. It was part of a deliberate operation managed by the 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division.
The media didn't even make an issue of My Lai Massacre until a year and a half after it actually happened. Corporate America wanted to ratchet down the war for various reasons, and suddenly, a year and a half later, there's an outrage about My Lai since it's politically useful, but it was known about among the compliant press all along.
Edit: For detail & accuracy.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We threw it on our Trello board so you can follow the progress on it HERE.
We're aware that the event store is missing items. We're working on this one!
You can follow the status of this on our Community Trello Board
Most companies who buy forestry in the coming sale will only be granted permission to fell if the trees are replanted in a sustainable manner.
There are 600 acres of privately owned woodland at the back of my house. It gets felled in 2-3 acre blocks with each block being replanted shortly after felling.
Example. It's really not that big a deal.
Besides knowing the basics of how combat works, how ability scores and modifiers work, and stuff like that, you don't need to memorize all the minor rules. If something comes up in your game and you don't know the exact ruling, it's perfectly fine to make it up on the fly and look it up in the book later so you don't slow things down. I've been DMing for 6 months now and I still find things in the DMG that I didn't know about.
Here's an online DM screen with a lot of quick info that's useful. Again, you have the freedom to just make stuff up. https://trello.com/b/D4PCtl95/dm-screen-5e-public
As far as things you may have to help your characters with, definitely understand the concept of Spell Slots for spellcasters, and what constitutes an Action in combat. Everything else is pretty straightforward.
it's a turn. it's a fast embellishment, where you play the note above, the note itself, the note below, and then the note itself again. in this example, you would play F-A-D-B-A-F GFEF (the last 4 denote the symbol in question). In this example you would probably play them as fast as 32nd notes, so that you play all 4 notes in the time span of an 8th note holding of course the F for the final 8th note.
according to the link I posted (ctrl-f "gloves"):
You have the right to ask a Security Officer to change her/his gloves during the physical inspection of your accessible property, before performing a physical search (pat-down,) or any time a Security Officer handles your footwear. So thats a total of 3 possible glove changes, I believe.
Being a remote worker helps - no commute. At the end of the workday, I will do one of the following
Keep working
Make dinner
Switch to my hobby project
Go for a run
with no break. Having no kids or social life is also a boon, so if you're serious about your hobby projects you should try to get rid of those.
I find that I really work the most on weekends, though. I keep a Trello board and it absolutely saves my sanity and productivity. Even if all I do during the week is prioritize the board, it helps me when I do have a chunk of time for code.
Is your project released? I had a hard time finding motivation once I got over the honeymoon phase, but when I finally released it the community feedback was more than enough motivation to fix and expand my app.
If it's not released, just focus on that. Decide what needs to be in v1.0 and make plans for v1.1 and beyond, then focus only on making v1.0 as perfect and bugfree as possible. You only launch once, but you do need to launch and not just slog. Defining the finish line is crucial.
That's my two cents. I only have one app released and only for just over a month, so it would be nice to hear from some more ~~jaded~~ experienced hobbists.
edit: Should also mention that my day job is also as an Android dev, so keeping abreast of the latest and greatest is something I can do during work hours. This also is motivating; my side project is where I get to play with all the toys that I'm not allowed to play with on Corporate Project #19942.
We’re delighted to be bringing IronWolf to Oculus Home. IronWolf is an action co-op submarine game that allows for up to 4 players to operate a submarine to take on a variety of enemies.
There’s an active community on our discord and a bot to announce public games as they are created.
As an early access game we have a lot planned for the future, the trello roadmap can be seen here.
The Dayz map looks much better than this trailer and aside from the bushes on every car I don't see what's better.
As you said overgrown is coming, bases too https://trello.com/c/4QopquMU/134-basebuilding-watchtowers so I'm not sure of what is your complain aside from "It's not in the game yet"
Holy Crap!
I have just tested this locally (Windows 7, 64-bit system but Apache running in 32 bit mode and this code hangs it).
Holy Crap!!!
Just installed a phpBB testbed locally out of curiosity to see how it handles the ids in the url, eg:
/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=2.2250738585072011e-308
This does work, and will screw the server so please don't be a prick and start breaking peoples forums to test it.
Short term fixes anyone? A global sanitize user input function? preg_replace
non-int values instead of casting to (int)
anywhere you're using it?
What a nightmare... now to see if WordPress has an entry point...
We corrected this with the release of v.4.3 and you shouldn't see BR loading screens when loading directly into StW. However, players that play both modes will still see a BR loading screen when switching from BR to STW. This is being worked on and is tracked on our Fortnite Trello Board.
PC AND CONSOLE USE THE SAME SERVER TYPES, IT'S ACTUALLY BECAUSE OF A HDD LOAD ORDER ISSUE THAT WE'RE PUSHING A FIX FOR WITH 3.5.
I'M REALLY SORRY IT HAPPENED BUT HOPEFULLY WE MAKE IT BETTER THIS WEEK.
I also don't think that a lot of people realize that about half the dev team has been working on framework/engine stuff, while the other half has been working on modelling/sounds/features. The later being stuff that can't be realistically implemented until the former is finished. Once we have the new scripting engine and player controllers in and functional, we will see a multitude of patches coming in really quickly filled with all the backlogged stuff.
