Microsoft acquired Wunderlist a little while ago. They just unveiled the replacement: Microsoft To-Do. It's not yet capable of fully replicating all of Wunderlist, but it does sync tasks with Outlook.
"Our first integration with Outlook makes it easy to stay on top of your Outlook Tasks from anywhere. It will automatically sync your Tasks with To-Do, and allow you to access and manage them across devices." https://blogs.office.com/2017/04/19/introducing-microsoft-to-do-now-available-in-preview/

I've your company has O365 I suggest looking at Microsoft To-Do. Allows you to manage personal tasks, team tasks from Planner/Teams and emails from Outlook requiring follow up in one app. https://todo.microsoft.com/en-us
Just an FYI: you may want to look into a new logo - yours is almost identical to Microsoft’s To Do app.
Putting aside potential copyright issues, you probably don’t want users to get confused.
Most decent to-do apps have an option to set tasks to repeat. That way, when you check them off one day, they still pop up the next day/week/month/etc. I know Microsoft's To Do app works like this.
Wunderlist was bought by Microsoft, who moved most of those developers to their new Todo app, Microsoft Todo. But it still has a ways to go in terms of features to catch up to Wunderlist, Things, Todoist.
The Microsoft to do app is called exactly that; Microsoft To Do. https://todo.microsoft.com/
Speaking as someone who has the same setup, the best solution is to install iCloud for Windows from the Microsoft Store, and check the applicable sync boxes. Any ecosystem you choose will work on both platforms, except for Apple’s. All of the Google apps can be installed as a shortcut from Chrome, and all of the Microsoft apps can be as well. A Microsoft 365 subscription is great if you want the storage and installed desktop apps, but all apps (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) are free online, just as the equivalents are from Google.
Google and Microsoft are great for integration because all of their apps are on the Apple App Store. I don’t recommend getting too comfortable with Google’s workspace apps however (Slides, Sheets, etc.) unless you get in the habit of saving in Microsoft formats. Schools are Google-town, but once you join the workforce you’ll find that most large businesses are Microsoft-city.
Maybe Microsoft To Do? They bought an app called Wunderlist and I think rebranded it as a multifunctional team assignment list, good for 2 or more people. Runs on iOS, Android and Windows PC.
Or may take? Both of you plan on doing 100% of what needs to be done at any opportune moment? If you're both there, you team up divide and conquer. If you're there alone, work first, play later. Remember that it's your home too and it's a reflection on you.
There’s a separate to-do app that will show any assigned tasks based on the logged in user. Users can also create their own personal todos, and any flagged emails in outlook will create a todo as well. https://todo.microsoft.com/tasks/
If you're half-ass shittily organized and would like to be 3/4 ass reasonably organized without making the necessary changes in your personality and lifestyle to be properly organized, I highly recommend the Microsoft To Do app.
It's been a complete game changer for me.
To Do is the ideal solution for anyone who looks at the top-tier organization apps and thinks, "I ain't doing all that shit -- but I need to do something."
It's basically a yellow notepad from the future - except the future is now.
If you currently use your calendar properly, like a normal, sane professional, you will think I am some sort of cave dweller for loving and shilling this app.
But if you're the absent-minded professor type who forgets to do shit they think they'll remember to do because your mind wanders off wondering who invented Eggs Benedict or whatever AND you're too lazy and/or obstinate to organize yourself correctly because you've only been an adult for approximately three decades, To Do is for you!
MS To Do should be in the MS Store now, but I believe you can also download it online.
But yeah, that's the exact reason I started using Wunderlist years ago, I had an iPhone 4 and a Windows PC. I made sure everything I used was cross-platform!
Microsoft To-Do? It's all about lists and crossing things off, and lists can be shared so they're multi-user and list items can be assigned and edited, with reminders. It's kinda built to purpose. You can share list invites via Teams. Has apps, and works really well pinned as app in your browser of choice. https://todo.microsoft.com
Pssst, https://todo.microsoft.com
Shared, synchronized to-do lists are great for shopping. Tick items off as you put them in the cart so you're not scanning the whole list all the time. Status sync also means both of us won't pick up the same thing when me and my wife go shopping together.
I struggled to find an app that worked for me for a long time. Most were too complex for me. Not that I couldn't figure out how they worked, but I needed the app to be simple or I wouldn't want to use it. Just something that synced between devices/PC, allowed me to set due dates, reminders, and notes, stayed easily organized, and didn't do anything extra I didn't need. I finally found the one for me in Microsoft To Do, believe it or not. It's changed my life. Everything else just was too involved. To Do is just right.
I do this exact same thing but with a bit of a ~modern twist~... I use apps instead of physical pen and paper. The problem with actually writing things down is that you have to carry that item with you and not lose it and remember to look at it, etc. Your phone, however, is always with you, so why not just use that?! Some good to-do list options for your phone are:
I've tried all of the above but currently use Taskade because of how easy and intuitive it is. But everyone is different so just try it out and see what works for you! And if you have to start with pen and paper then do that because something is better than nothing
I use this app called Microsoft To-do which I update on Sundays to prompt me during the week. You may want to give it a whirl. It is quite simple!
Just a heads up on Wunderlist: Microsoft did "shut down" the original app, but they just re-released it with a different name.
You just have to install [Microsoft "To Do"[(https://todo.microsoft.com/). You can import your old stuff from Wunderlist, but I actually would just recommend starting from scratch, particularly for shared lists.
Well i used to manage these day to day activities in wunderlist. But guess what Microsoft has bought this company and rebranded this feature to integrate in outlook. I suggest you give it a try. https://todo.microsoft.com/tasks/
Suggest you consider giving Microsoft To-Do a go, either as the web version todo.microsoft.com or with the standalone apps. So much easier to work with Tasks. The only downside is there are no categories used yet (MS claim they are prioritising this feature).
I've recently been thinking about this subject in some depth. Here's a copy/paste from my thoughts on using external systems to manage myself:
"For most of my life I've never seen the point in keeping a journal. It honestly just seemed like such an unnecessary and self-absorbed process to me. However, after years of little to no direction in both my thoughts and ideas, I am starting to appreciated how beneficial a journal can be. The burden of trying to internally organise my feelings, thoughts and ideas is instead placed upon an external system, significantly reducing mental fatigue."
The system that you use will have a huge impact on your ability to manage your workload. Personally I have started using an app called Microsoft To Do which you can use on your desktop and mobile phone. It's a very simple app that lets you create once-off or recurring tasks, manage them into lists and even assign them to other people. Obviously this is a Microsoft product but I believe there's also a version for Apple devices. You'll probably need a Microsoft account but they are free anyway so that's not a huge problem. It also syncs with Outlook (email + calendar) which is nice. Point being that there's an endless variety of systems you can use to organise yourself so if one isn't working for you try another. Ultimately at the end of the day planning like this is just going to remind you to do stuff. You still personally have to put in the effort to actually do it. Trust me that's easier said than done and if you're really struggling to do so I would suggest talking about it to whoever might be able to help be that parents / guardians or your doctor / specialist.
Microsoft To-Do? I tried using it for personal stuff (for a year), and it’s so terrible. It even started randomly forgetting sub-tasks, and the lack of a basic "all tasks" view makes it completely useless.
If you like Microsoft's Wunderlist, have similar app call To Do (you can check it over here:
Web link: https://todo.microsoft.com/en-us.
Its cross platform, so if you want to share your list you can do it with latest update (I guess) but its still not having macOS app, hopefully they will it sooner or later.
If not then try out Any.do, its having both iTunes & macOS app.
One of my friends is the technical lead for Microsoft TODO but until they have "shared" todo lists, I haven't switched over.
Now, it's mostly just my email inbox -- if I have a todo item that's non-email, I'll just email it to myself.
Except you can (literally) get 17 accounts on Google for 1 O365 one. That's a gigantic difference.
Teams is so far pretty lame (you can probably match it with the entirely free Rocket.chat) too. But yes, they're pushing to get that integration going. They also have a new one now, https://todo.microsoft.com/en-us/ that ties into it all.
And in the process of course their pissing all over on premises from a great height, which I really dislike. On premises should be an option that's fully supported. They only did on premises for a long time, and not everyone wants to go cloud.
