according to the link I posted (ctrl-f "gloves"):
You have the right to ask a Security Officer to change her/his gloves during the physical inspection of your accessible property, before performing a physical search (pat-down,) or any time a Security Officer handles your footwear. So thats a total of 3 possible glove changes, I believe.
Her Twitter Feed, where she's "started a Twitter campaign on her blog to stop 'invasive' body searches."
Edit: And her own account of it from her blog.
Opryland Hotel. That place is amazing inside.
Patrick pulled the bill because he wasn't sure if he had the votes at the time. He hoped to rally support and bring it the next day. He did, but there weren't enough senators present to call a floor vote.
> Some have asked why I pulled HB 1937 down. As I was debating members came to me & said they were now a no. I saw the DOJ letter being distributed. I was told the Lt Gov was trying to kill the bill. I didn't know how many votes I had left. If I had taken a vote then it would have been dead. Pulling it down gave me the chance to rally the votes & bring it back up. My goal was to pass the bill, not to have a show vote.
You also forgot what came next:
> Hinojosa conceded that the point was well made.
More info on the senators involved. And it's pretty clear that it was Dewhurst pulling the strings. <https://www.facebook.com/notes/debbie-mckee/hb-1937-here-is-a-list-of-senators-to-pressure/10150206613282258>
It's still a 3-5 day ocean crossing from New York to Southampton and that's if you can book passage on a cargo ship heading that way (cruise ships are ripoff as far as practical passenger travel is concerned, IMO).
EDIT: Wikipedia article on the subject; good jumping-off point.
I know everyone here on Reddit loathes Paypal, but I encourage everyone to donate something to his legal defense fund...I threw in the $ I would have dropped at the bar last night. He may need all the help he can get:
I'm obviously late to this party.
I'm shocked that I don't see "Boehner" when I do a CTRL+F here.
Boehner, a ~~Democrat, oh shit~~ Republican also doesn't have to go through TSA checkpoints.
So...Republicans get the same treatment, OP.
Perhaps... I've flown a bit (maybe too much), and lately it's been more around "frequent travel holidays" than other times - which probably only makes the problem worse. Really, the number of people that have zero problem slamming their seat back with no warning (or, worse, will refuse to move up for a bit so you can pull something out from under the seat) ... or the ones who won't/don't respect the "primary storage" being under their feet, and instead stuff their smaller bags (purses, laptop bags, jackets) in to the overhead - enough so that "regular" sized baggage can't/won't fit... or just the ones that don't know how to board a plane (and get out of the way), or disembark (ie. stay out of the way until you're ready to not delay the entire line behind you). Or even the "gate lice," prior to flight.
So, yeah... perhaps I've internalized too many of the negative aspects. Probably also doesn't help that, with the rise in gas prices / airfares, I've started flying multiple airlines (simply because of cost) and haven't maintained status with any one carrier, anymore (laugh).
