> Only stupid people watch the news ...
ummm no. Only stupid people adamantly insist that CNN is a news agency despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Not the dev, but I checked out their site: free tier limits the number of team members, number of projects, how much storage, etc. Looks similar to the Trello model?
Hi there, you can multi-select and check the tasks with the keyboard shortcut "CMD + Enter" or "CTRL + Enter". This way you can complete and cross out multiple tasks at once.
See the demo here: https://www.taskade.com/blog/multiselect-tasks-reorder-shortcut-project-activity/
Yes, we are on iOS and Windows! We only got approved by Apple for the Mac App store last week, so it is entirely new. You can find our iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, Firefox / Chrome Apps for download here: https://www.taskade.com/downloads/
Hi there, My Tasks now automatically include your own tasks with a due date. 🎉 (https://www.taskade.com/my-tasks) Essentially any tasks you add a due date to will be auto-assigned to you under My Tasks. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
Thanks for the suggestion! Are you asking for the Google Calendar integration event colors to match the workspace or subspace color? This might be possible. If you have a minute, please do request this over at https://www.taskade.com/feedback as well!
Great question, Taskade is much more task-driven and collaboration focused, with a unified workspace incorporating communication, collaboration, and coordination into one platform.
You can chat, video conference, and organize tasks, notes, projects in one interface. The other products listed are very different in comparison.
There are some more comparison and information available over at https://www.taskade.com/compare
Yea, personally ClickUp and Asana are both too cluttered, slow, and unfriendly for me. Every single feature exists but many features are buggy or unfinished on ClickUp. Just found some planning templates.
Some good options could be highlighting the information if your class or school allows you to do that in your text books but sadly most don't allow you to do that. What I do is I find some of my friends that are in the same class and we all read a portion of it then we use taskade since it's free and we're all able to communicate through it so we all right down our notes in it for other people to use on tests or assignments. we pretty much all summarize it up so we all don't have to read it.
Something that can help out a lot is finding some people in your classes and making a study group type of thing. I did this a while back and it helped me so much where you could literally see on my grades when I started the group. What I did and how I would recommend doing it is getting something free that you all can communicate on. I would suggest using taskade because it's free, really easy to use, and you can all join into the same group and all communicate at the same time. Making a study group I think would help you out best. You should try it out and let me know how it goes!
Sometimes writing those things and getting those things off your chest is what is best for you. I personally use an online organization app called taskade to journal because I like it all organized and I jump around a lot when I journal. But when I write/type about things that are sad or make me mad it makes me so relieved after I get it off my chest.
Haha I did the exact same thing. I wrote notes all over my hand then my manager got mad at me about it at my job so he made me stop. I started using apps as well like you said you do. I use taskade for my obsessive not taking and I also leave sticky notes all over my house for reminders haha
I always take my task manager and set up every class in it then write down notes and the key words or phrases I need to study or retain. This is the best way I personally have found.
It sounds like some sort of online bullet journal would be perfect for you. You could keep it all nice looking with a few clicks of a button and you'd be able to have the same effect. I personally do the same thing you do. I have a physical copy (my white board) then a virtual one on my phone incase I'm not home.
IM THE EXACT SAME WAY. Im always doing something new (this week it's guitar). Last week it was creating some companies on Taskade and next week it's gonna be a rubrics cube. haha It's great.
This is AMAZING advice. I've done all of this and it's all worked so much better. I've done Todoist but I use Taskade, I use a white board, and I use a note pad. Writing it down physically will help you remember 10x better. You have Some great advice!
Thanks for the suggestion /u/maux_zaikq we are working on bulk task assignment soon, please stay tuned.
Copy task(s) across projects is coming next and we will make an announcement on this once it is released.
If you have any other requests, or any details you want to share, welcome to contact us directly at https://www.taskade.com/contact
Hi /u/phinsxiii this video should help you understand Taskade's structure more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vujbh8BXsCo
Regarding "@" in a project, this only includes workspace members or subspace members. Each subspace is independent of the workspace. You can however invite everyone from a workspace into the subspace automatically by clicking on the "Invite All" button when creating a new subspace.
If you have further questions, do let us know at https://www.taskade.com/contact!
I propose we make a team collaboration accountability board/task. Will work best on TaskadeI think. If anyone's interested let me know and I'll set it up.
Basically we can create different goals or mindmaps boards in a centralized space to keep everyone accountable. And then kind of like discord there's a chat box function so we can talk and collaborate in real-time.
Never done this before but this post inspired me so I'd be willing to try. Certainly will make working from home a lot more entertaining at least I think
Thanks. This is super helpful. Which sections, crossovers/functions do you think we should highlight? For example, you can see here the Chat is exposed when opening a list https://www.taskade.com/v/B1Q8lMxIfG

SMART goals are important because they help you to set focused goals with a clear direction and timeframe. By following the SMART framework, your team will be clearer about the deliverables and as a result be more productive. Here is a list of benefits that come with SMART goal-setting:
Helps you set specific and clear goals
Ensures that you set achievable goals
Allows you to track your progress
Helps you set useful goals
Gives you a deadline to work towards
In a nutshell, SMART goals help by ensuring that you don’t set vague and unrealistic goals for yourself. Using the SMART goal framework helps you to set specific goals that are related to the bigger picture within a certain timeframe.
To say that Getting Things Done® (GTD®) is popular would be an understatement. When Allen published his book Getting Things Done in 2001, he singlehandedly created the personal productivity space. Over 20 years later, GTD is still alive and kicking.
But that doesn’t mean it’s for everybody.
Many new GTD users look at Allen’s Next Actions and say: “Hey, aren’t those just like my crumpled to-dos but in a fancy marketing wrapping?” And we get it. After all, both to-dos and next actions are meant to be “completed,” so the endgame is pretty much the same, right?
Well, not really. As we’ve already explained, to-dos and next actions are two different animals. According to Allen, to-do lists lack context. They’re just shapeless blobs of mismatched tasks and reminders that lack priority, due dates, and enough details to be actionable.
Ambiguous actions/tasks like “send the report urgently” are not enough to warrant actionability. Who should you send it to? How are you supposed to send the report? What exactly does “urgently” mean? Which report should you send in the first place?
Getting those items out of your mind and onto a to-do list is relieving, but not for long. Simply because an incomplete system is not reliable. And if you can’t trust the system you’re using, you’re bound to fall back on old habits and continue storing tasks and ideas all over the place.
Take a stroll through this site and you will see the layout, voting for gesture requests, bug reporting etc. It’s incredibly super polished and easy to work with and use. Forums where staff and customers can interact, discuss and report is very effective. Y’all should go this route for devs and company success. It’s surgical precision frankly. I am a customer of theirs and participate in their model a lot. It’s the best I have ever used as a beta tester and bug hunter.
Hi /u/Madcorr64 welcome to Taskade! We are adding Zapier integration very soon, which will make emailing tasks to Taskade a possibility. Stay tuned!

Noted, we just released a major update last week, please do give it a try and see if it has improved. https://www.taskade.com/blog/mixed-formats-outliner-nlp-dates/

Taskade is heavily inspired by outliners like Emacs Org Mode, Workflowy, Dynalist and more recently RoamResearch and Obsidian. Learn about the history of outlining tools here.
Todoist is one of the original simple todo list apps that has evolved over time and made it out for over a decade. We dive deep into their history and how the product has evolved over the years. In many ways Taskade is inspired by Todoist, Wunderlist, with a modern touch around writing and editing. Read the full comparison here.

Not 100% a marketing tool but we have many agencies and marketers using Taskade's To-Do List & Mind Map to manage and organize their client tasks and projects in multiple workspaces. Our app is designed for marketers working on multiple projects and with multiple teams at once.
David Allen’s methodology is built on five pillars—capture, clarify, organize, reflect, engage— corresponding to steps in the workflow. You can think of the five pillars as powerful work habits you can improve and reflect on each time you repeat the GTD cycle.

Hey man! I've had similar issues with Teams too....recently I switched to an app called Taskade which has all the features of teams and more! It's a lot better and less buggy. Check it out and let me know what you think!
I don't use it but I tested it. https://www.taskade.com/
As this Product Hunt list shows, we're always probably not aware of something. That list keeps getting bigger as new apps arrive. https://www.producthunt.com/topics/note

I manage my team using Taskade. It's a task management/project organizer app that can be used for keeping everyone on track.....Been using it for a while now and its great!
Hey man! I was definitely having the same issues with my team. I recently came across this great app called Taskade that is the best task management/project organizer tool that I have used yet!

Here is a LIST of active lies that weren’t necessarily political
https://www.taskade.com/d/HyM--7J5l?share=view&view=ByzMWWQkql
Other examples that WERE political
push the Russian collusion hoax,
they push the Jussie Smollett hoax,
they smeared Justice [Brett] Kavanaugh as a rapist,
and they also smeared Nick Sandmann as a white supremacist,”
dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop affair as pure Russian disinformation….this last one even though even though the NYT admits IS true… CNN still tries to promote this as false
Hi u/mohammadi7613
Taskade does not yet have this functionality, but we have already added it to our feedback portal.

Hi /u/Qazeevi please check again, we have improved the syncing and updating in My Tasks. It should be near real-time now! Let us know if you run into any other issues.
Not at the moment, some users prefer the Mac App Store version, others prefer the native version as it bypasses App Store. You will get auto-updates on the native version as well, and potentially a bit faster.

I’m not getting into a who’s dick is bigger contest with you. I didn’t even suggest CNN was “fake news” like the OP. But CNN has long ago given up any mantel of being a good journalistic news organization. You’re defense of them is laughable.

I don't know why that happened. I took the time to choose a task manager that suited the whole team and we are still using it. You just need to understand what basic functions you need and not overload it with unnecessary add-ons. I settled on taskade with their Free Startup Management Templates . It is quite convenient and intuitive. And it's easy for me as a manager to keep track of all tasks.

Hi /u/stardog2 great question! Taskade is pronounced together in one word, though it is a portmanteau, a blend and combination of the words task and cascade. Learn more on https://www.taskade.com/about
The proper pronunciation for Taskade is very similar to the popular DJ Kaskade. See here: https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+pronounce+kaskade, simply replace 'K' with 'T'.
Hope this helps! :)
Great question, competition is insane but the space is also growing, and in the end, our platform offers something quite unique with our tree-structured editing interface built for task management and collaboration.
We are still very much focused on product-led growth, but do have some plans for a larger campaign / push in the near future that are not 100% concrete yet. We would definitely like to avoid the more traditional performance marketing, paid ads across the usual suspects like FB, IG, etc.
Our roadmap is quite packed as you can see over at https://www.taskade.com/v/B1Q8lMxIfG along with the number of incoming requests on /r/taskade.
Yes! You can now select multiple tasks and assign yourself in the bottom toolbar. Follow our updates on https://www.taskade.com/blog/product-updates/

Thanks for the candid feedback. The two links below should help explain Taskade's philosophy and our project structure better. We did not build a traditional GTD Inbox but one that allows you the flexibility to organize tasks, notes, and thoughts in one platform. Hence not everything is considered a 'task' inside Taskade. For My Tasks to work properly, you would have to be either assigned the task, or created a due date on a task yourself. We are also open to additional suggestions around this!
Hi /u/torstenkoepke you can either assign a task to yourself OR simply add a due date to a task. In either case, the tasks will show up inside https://www.taskade.com/my-tasks!
Learn more here: https://help.taskade.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056482834--My-Tasks-Master-Agenda-
Thanks for the feedback. If you tried our platform / app itself, you will see little mention of our logo or mascot. Give it a shot over at https://www.taskade.com/new/
The mascot logo will be iterated on in the future, it is fun and simple, created by a friend of the founders that passed away a few years ago, and in many ways to keep this logo in his memory.

So, I've been noting down all the requests i see in various job posts. Here's the link. Its not clean yet.. i need to sit and organize it. But, you get the ruff idea of how fucked we are
Subspace color, it would be great if this feature could be added! To be honest I've already request this at https://www.taskade.com/feedback but I don't know if my feature request will be considered as I have not received a clear answer under my post :/
Thank you! Noted on the feedback. We recently added support to Embed Youtube, Vimeo, Wistia, Loom, Typeform and more, but enhancing existing file types could be a good improvement to add to our to-do list.
This is incorrect. We take privacy seriously and our business model is around subscriptions from paying individuals, teams, and businesses. You can learn more about this over at https://www.taskade.com/security
Were you on the Mac Store version of the app? I believe it was disabled as Apple did not allow us to process payments via Stripe.com without offering subscriptions inside Apple payments.

Hi /u/pixel8dmess sorry for the late reply on this. We recently created a Security page on Taskade, and everything we have to offer, please take a look at https://www.taskade.com/security
Taskade takes security seriously and arguably better in some fronts when compared to Notion due to the nature of Taskade's Workspace > Subspace structure.
You can learn more about that here: https://help.taskade.com/hc/en-us/articles/360055670613--What-is-the-difference-between-a-Workspace-and-a-Subspace
I think you're all set with the mindset you have for college. You sound like a hard worker and very intelligent. I think you should still have a job part time or some sort of income coming through as you go to school. Since you have a good amount of money already you shouldn't be stressing over it like most students do which is such a good thing. I think you should just schedule a good plan through a good project manager like taskade or Microsoft ToDo just because it's such an important and big decisions to make.
I love project managing! (I don't use it as a career at all and just do it for personal stuff on taskade). But if that's what you wanna do then try it! You'll always regret not trying it but never regret trying it and failing at it but I doubt you'd fail at it!
Getting chores done around the house is such a pain in the butt haha. I make sure to always have a day to day schedule and try to fit into the schedule very specific chores I need to get done. I do it in taskade because it's way easy to use and free. This habit has helped me so much with keeping my room and house clean haha
I think you should try going back to school because although it may feel like you're older you still have a lot of time to figure things out. School will be hard especially because you live on your own in an expensive area so make sure to spend your time wisely. When I was in school there were a few apps that I would use that helped me out a lot. You sound like you're really smart so either way you'll figure it out.
This is a must have for me but you don't pack it. A must have is some sort of organization app. An app that allows you to organize your school work, schedule, or anything at all. It helps me out a lot and that's one thing I can't live without.
Try to organize all of your work super thoroughly and see if spreading out all of the work load could help. There are many apps out there that could help with that a lot and some of them are free. Once you get a work schedule that you like and that is working for you then you can incorporate some of the old fun things that you use to do like hanging with friends, family, tv shows, instruments, etc. Once you get those old but good memories back hopefully you'll get out of your depression. I had the same problem for a long time as well and fixing my schedule helped me the most personally. Give it a try and let me know how it goes! You got this!!
