Can you show me what the back looks like and tell me which ports you are trying to use?
Also, can I get you to download and run Speccy and show me a picture of what the window shows? We have to figure out what is supported and then move onto why the misbehavior is taking place.
I do troubleshooting for a living so this is a rough look at my process!
I found links in your comment that were not hyperlinked:
I did the honors for you.

Does anything at all display on your screen when you start it up, or it is just lights on - fans spin - turns off?
Could you provide a PCPP link of your build or a screenshot from Speccy?
The reason for this is most likely because the process you killed was probably explorer.exe, which is literally the entire UI of Windows. Rebooting would've executed it again so you could navigate. Still unsure what the slowness is. Download CrystalDiskInfo and see what it says about your HDD, as it could be expiring. If it says it's okay, then I would run Defraggler as well as something like Malwarebytes afterwards, then your choice of [BleachBit](bleachbit.org) or CCleaner. BleachBit is less user friendly, but digs deeper. Both may delete data you want, so be careful and check what boxes you're ticking before you hit begin. I'm open to questions if you're uneasy about using one of those last two.
If I were you, I would get to backing up whatever it is you want to keep. As I said, you SHOULD be able to save your data on your HDD after your computer breaks as long as it's not the HDD that's damaged. Do you have another computer or drive you can use to test this?
