no every app uses something like https://www.clicktale.com/ that periodically takes images of the screen and uploads them to make a low FPS video to show user storys ... its another form of analytics, you can then link it up to things like adobe analytics to create funnels and have videos of it auto link to the analytics and also to crashalytics so you can see the video of someone using the app when it crashes.
UXNexus provided a good run-down of what you really should be doing but reading your description, it made me think of a design I implemented for a client that in a way could be retrofitted for your purpose as well.
The client had a lot of these "wall of text" pages that needed some sort of navigation within them. I implemented a "sticky sidebar" that contains all the sub-sections for easy navigation. The sidebar scrolls with you as you scroll so it accommodates jumping around the page. The section headings are always there too, in case you know where you want to go.
My implementation is here but if you want code examples, see this. Also, here are some best practices to keep in mind and to evaluate if its appropriate for your exact case.
That may be, but that assumes everyone consumes content at their natural learning perspective, versus just being lazy.

Thanks. For reference:

YO !!!! Check this out !!!! Facebook listening is nothing !!! This thing goes on by decades now... By the way, this isn't spam, this is the website of a company that works with customers analytics and data collection. Their service, when installed on a webpage, can record/monitor user activity such as, mouse movements, clicks, keyboard presses and so on !!!
