Hmm Android apps aren't buggy or slow? Some are if you use the shitty ones, but overall they're quite good. I've jumped back and forth between a Nexus 6 and an iPhone 6+ and in all honesty I've had more app crashes on the iPhone than I ever had on the Nexus.
As for control center, Android has all this accessible from the swipe down menu as well.
Music? I'm really not sure what iOS provides over Android? I listen to music all day long and I've had just as enjoyable an experience on both Android and iOS. The iOS default music app is decent but there are better apps out there. On Android I get choices like https://www.doubletwist.com/cloudplayer which plays music from your cloud storage and the UI is really good.
Anyway all this to say that both iOS and Android are great choices, and most of the issues you're referring to are related to older iterations of Android, not with Lollipop or KitKat.
> Besides that I remember to read here in this sub about a "Cloud Player" (or similar), posted by developer itself. But I think it is not FOSS. Can't remember details.
Probably: Cloud Player It's only available via Google Play.
Forget YTM! I tried it and hate it. Instead, I downloaded all my music from Google Play Music, then uploaded it all to Dropbox. And I use CloudPlayer from doubletwist, https://www.doubletwist.com/cloudplayer, and it works really well. I really like that it gives me complete control over metadata and album art. It's not perfect, but it's the only thing I've found that works with all my music being cloud based, instead of having it locally saved.
