I use and really enjoy Copied.
It doesn't sit in the background and monitor your clipboard (iOS restriction) however it has a share extension which makes copying text almost as simple as the default copy action.
There is also a super handy keyboard which shows recently copied and saved snippets.
Copied for Mac lets you select multiple items and copy/paste/drag & drop them all at once.
Disclaimer: I wrote this app.
However, current version will insert an extra empty row between each item when you paste in Excel. Next update will have an option to remove that extra line.
Hi everyone, there was a thread recently on /r/apple about clipboard continuity.
I just released Copied on the App Store and Mac App Store. Besides being a full featured clipboard manager, it also syncs your clipboard between devices in the background. More info here: http://copiedapp.com.
Here are 30 promo codes for Copied for OS X: http://codehookup.com/1abed2b7
You will need the iOS version to sync. The upgrade is currently just 99¢. Get it here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/copied/id1015767349?ls=1&mt=8
Reviews are always appreciated.
Have you look into Copied - A Full Featured Clipboard Manager for iOS and OS X. Similar in concept but a lot more powerful (and a universal clipboard manager meaning anything you copied on your Mac will sync onto your iOS device and vice-versa).
List rather than search should be the first priority. Users should be able to view and scroll through the main list of recently copied items. Then if they wish, create list to save any of the copied items into. Only then will search becomes useful.
Maybe add rules, scripting and text formatting (Markdown, HTML, Source URL etc).
Take a look at Copied (Clipboard Manager) that’s on Mac and iOS/iPadOS. It also uses Apple’s Universal Clipboard which is part of Apple’s Continuity to sync clipboard across devices.
All the 3rd party keyboards I'm using support the feature:
Unicode keyboard
Swiftkey as well if you use the default theme.
Regarding the final point- it's true Universal Clipboard will only paste the last item you've copied and I'm guessing Apple purposely choose the route for security and simplicity reasons but you can use an app called Copied that saves your clipboard items (up to the last 1000 clippings) in conjunction with Universal Clipboard. Copied allow you setup rules so that items are not copied from within every app and you can also set different templates and hotkeys.
I don't know if you've read this article on Ars a few years ago:
Universal Clipboard was added a year after this article and AFAIK involves BT LE (you need a compliant device- Mac and iOS device with BT 4.1) and iCloud (which means that the device has to sign to the same iCloud account for Universal Clipboard to work).
Copied: Full Featured Clipboard manager for Mac (and iOS)
It uses Universal Clipboard/iCloud to sync your clipboard collection across Mac and iOS devices. It's something I use everyday.
