If rebooting does not help, this utility Del Invalid File will definitely get rid of it. This little utility used to be free till it's last version but the developer now sells it for $31.95 (a little too high a price for a utility that will be sparingly used by anyone). You can try googling for an earlier version.
hm weird, I was having this issue with directories and had to empty them first but not files. Also this was 2008 Server.
you could try . instead of ?
I found a tool that was really helpful with this http://www.purgeie.com/delinv/
Looks ugly as sin but it did the job Trial lets you delete 5 files or something before you have to buy it - I didn't buy it b/c the other method worked for me.
There is a mod (the Mjolnir mod). This is a rather buggy mod and it can cause the game to stop from loading up alltogether. If you have this mod, you should download the following tool and remove the mod: http://www.purgeie.com/delinv/dldelinv.htm
The folder to remove is in the following filepath: \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Blade & Sorcery\BladeAndSorcery_Data\StreamingAssets
There should be a folder here (mjolnir 3.0 or something similar). Use the tool you just downloaded to select the entire folder of the mjolnir mod and then reinstall the game
If you have any further questions, feel free to ask
Delete Invalid File is a wonderful utility to get rid of such files. This utility used to be free in the past but now the developer asks for $31.95 for the same. Check if you can find an earlier free version on torrents.
If it's the same after a reboot, use Delete Invalid File to remove it. DIF used to be free until it's last version but now has become paid. Google for the earlier version.
There is a wonderful utility Delete Invalid File which takes care of such issues. Unfortunately, the creators have now made it a paid program. Search for earlier versions which used to be free.
There was a cool free utility Delete Invalid File which used to work fine in deleting such entries. I however see that they have now converted it to a paid version. Google and see if you can find an earlier version.
