And there is an upcoming Addon for Dying Light called "Blood Bath". It's a 5 People "battle royal" like where you have to fight your way through a zombiefilled city to make it to the helicopter first, while killing / helping the other ones only to stab them in the back when they don't expect it ;)
Zombie kill 'em up Dying Light gets a Battle Royale-inspired standalone PvP expansion called Bad Blood next year
Developer Techland said Bad Blood comes "as a response to numerous fan requests for a PvP approach to Dying Light, and the recent popularity of the Battle Royale genre among the survival horror fans", which presumably is a nod to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite.
The big difference between the likes of PUBG and Bad Blood, however, is Bad Blood is only for six players, and it blends PvP with PvE. Here's how it works: you and five other players are dropped into a hostile, zombie-infested area. Each player has to evacuate before the night falls. You have to scavenge for weapons while harvesting blood samples from the infected.
There's word of dynamic alliances with other players to get tactical against zombie bosses, but you can then turn on your allies to steal their samples. The more samples the players harvest collectively, the more evacuation seats on the chopper are unlocked, but everyone pays for their seat individually.
That's all we've got for now. Dying Light: Bad Blood is due out in 2018. You can sign up for the global playtest over at the official website
Here's the link to the full description.
The mode sounds interesting!
You and five other players are dropped into a hostile, zombie-infested area. Each of you has the same goal: to evacuate before the night falls. Use your parkour skills to swiftly traverse the city, scavenging for weapons that will give you an edge over your opponents. But remember, the clock is ticking.
To pay for a seat on the extraction chopper, you need to harvest blood samples from the infected. Form dynamic alliances with other players to get tactical against formidable zombie bosses - and then turn on your allies to steal their samples. In a cruel set-up where everyone fights for the survival of the few, betrayal is not a question of “if”, but “when”.
The more samples the players harvest collectively, the more seats are unlocked. But everyone pays for their seat individually, which means the alliances are short-lived and can easily end with a stab in the back. Make sure you have enough evacuation points once the chopper arrives, and don’t get killed as you race to the extraction zone.
Nah, they teased/announced it as being something similar but it's more like an objective-based 6 players free-for-all.

It's also unreleased as of today but will be a stand-alone game, not a game mode / add-on for Dying Light.

I loved the first game and the trailer has me excited, but as long as there's no word about Linux version, I don't see how it fits here. Also, linking to a blog post that has literally nothing more than the reddit post's title is pretty lame.
It should just link here: https://dyinglightgame.com/
Absolutely.
Best zombie game out there. Developers are still actively working on improving the game, we are also getting new free DLC. See the progress here - https://dyinglightgame.com/10in12/
2,000+ hours and I'm still playing. Feel free to take a look at my review if you'd like to - https://steamcommunity.com/id/The7thLegendaryAce/recommended/239140/
This is what we know so far. https://i.imgur.com/APwycrh.png
> What are Dying Light: Bad Blood’s target platforms?
> Dying Light: Bad Blood launches first in Steam Early Access on PC. Console versions including Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are planned and more details on those will be revealed on a later date.
I want to add that Techland has a sale on their own store too. Not as cheap, but Call of Juarez is included, you get a Steam key for both games and all proceeds goes to the studio. Fantastic game either way, especially with friends.
We have Co-Op and MP (BtZ or Invasions), all of it is done in one lobby, you use your own character from singleplayer in all game modes.
I'd say it's worth it, The Following is huge expansion, it adds a lot to the game, huge map to explore along with buggy, story continuation of Campaign, new items, new NPC(s), new zombies and etc.
I'm not sure about how consoles work to answer your latter question, I suppose no, it should let you access your own save files and trophies, but don't take my word.
Some information to get you caught up to news.
We've still got 10-in-12 program going. So far we've received Content Drop #0 (Bonus), Content Drop #1 and Content Drop #2.

> Can I capture and publish videos and screenshots from the Global Playtest?
> Yes. There are no restrictions regarding capture of videos or screenshots.
> I can get the base game for $6 right now, I wasn't sure if the base is worth or the enhanced edition for like $20-$25.
Get the Enhanced Edition for sure, it's the best version to buy without a doubt. Enhanced Edition will contain all the best and necessary DLC, including The Following and Bozak Horde which are must have DLC.
> Are future DLC free? I thought I read this somewhere?
Techland has announced 10-in-12 program, more info about this can be found here - https://dyinglightgame.com/10in12/ Yes, all the DLC will be free. So far the Content Drop #0 (Bonus) and Content Drop #1 has already been released, now we're waiting for second content drop.
> what the most noticable changes form the base to the content now?
The base game has been updated with new difficulty, better graphics, Legend skill-tree and etc. We've received a bonus content drop and the first content drop.
From what we know so far, yes. It's going to be a standalone paid game.
The play test (If you get chosen) is free from what I know.
You can see if you can still apply for it here - https://dyinglightgame.com/badblood

Lets not forget we're just in the beginning of 10 in 12. It's pretty rare for developers to promise 10 new free content drops in 12 months for an almost 3 year old game. https://dyinglightgame.com/10in12/
If you choose to cancel it now, you can re-enable the bounty later.
I don't know if Techland changed the bounty system when they released Content Drop 0, to track that specific bounty for everyone starting the game too. When you're in Old Town, you can actually start collecting requisition packs, (they're only available there), before you finish the main campaign.
So with the bounty enabled, you'd "get credit" for the requisition packs you collected during the main campaign Old Town game play too. Here's the Techland trailer video for Content Drop 0. The bounty is to collect 50 requisition packs in order to unlock the Hunted outfit, and it can take a while.
This seems to be normal thing, or at least global issue. Soon after we received the beta playtest keys we quickly downloaded the game and played it, however it didn't seem to work out perfectly (At least for me and my friends.) There were disconnects every half minute or so around which made it difficult to gather 12 players as well as for some reason we couldn't invite friends.
The most obvious issue was the launcher as game refused to start normally, we had to launch the game using second option called "NO LAUNCHER" by first starting it from Steam library instead of desktop shortcut, this made it download / change something and allowed us to select play (Option below View Updates), which finally started the game.
Later the game received update which forced Steam wipe its files, leaving only ~150 MBs of possibly non game related files.
And then later the game was updated again which seems to have removed it from Steam, at least Steam library as it's still visible from Steam's account licenses.
Right after the second update it appears that people can no longer activate the key. I believe this is intended, we simply have to wait until 25 which is when the first phase begins.
It's a stand-alone game called Bad Blood and is scheduled to be released this year (2018): https://dyinglightgame.com/badblood/
It's not an add-on / game-mode for Dying Light. Also, it's not "Battle Royale" as you might expect with dozens of players, shrinking game field, etc.
It's more like a 6-player objective-based free-for-all. You have to obtain blood samples and bring them to an extraction point.
In the meantime you kill zombies just like in Dying Light.
Gemly DLC(s) are introduced with Content Drops Which is the program that Techland announced, it's about giving us 10 DLC as content drops. You can read about it here - https://dyinglightgame.com/10in12/
So far we've got Content Drop #0 (Bonus), Content Drop #1 and Content Drop #2.
You can view the Gemly DLC links at the subreddit's sidebar in Free Content.
These codes obtained from Gemly are to be activated here, which afterwards has to be linked to user's platform.
About Legend skill-tree, this was introduced in Enhanced Edition, including the Nightmare difficulty.
Mine is up and running. But I had created an account at dyinglightgame.com when you were able to do so (there is no longer an option to create an account there). The companion app can only link using that account.
It’s their newest DLC that is similar to Bozak/Prison (altho not timed) where you have to complete levels of enemies to get to a boss fight. It’s brand new fantasy theme and it’s based on their stand alone game they put on hold years ago. They have new enemies (not zombies), they have skeletons, mages(that throw different elemental weapons at you), and other enemies to get you to the main boss which is a Minotaur(with similar mechanics as the Demolisher). It’s quite intense.
Also you can loot coins off bodies and in satchels to use to purchase Hellraid weapons that can then be used in main game as well. They are pretty cool.
here is the official site for it
Btw, i noticed this a couple steams sales ago. On the dying light website the enhanced edition of the game is always on sale for 15$ rather than steam price is 17$ and that only with the lunar sale.
Hope this saves you guys couple dollars
they already said early on that no one from the first game is returning. The new game is set in a totally different location (no longer Harran). New protagonist name is Aiden Caldwell.
You can find all the info they provided so far at this link as well as googling other articles
Bad Blood is a free to play standalone Brutal Royale game that was released on PC two years ago. It’s a last man standing game with a lobby of 12 players trying to be the last man to be evacuated.
Here is a link that talks all about it.
https://dyinglightgame.com/badblood/
It never released on console as of yet and not sure if it will at this point as even the PC version is dead and they are lucky to get a full lobby of 12 players.
Also keep an eye out on the Techland website - got a Dying Light Enhanced Edition Steam key there for $15 a couple of weeks ago.
Hellraid releases on Aug 13 for PC and Aug 14 for consoles. The cost will be $9.99 and can be purchased at your respective platform stores! You must have the base game in order to purchase the DLC!
Here is more info about the DLC
You need to pay for it. The cost is $9.99. It is not included with Season Pass or Enhanced Edition.
Here is a link that tells more of what to expect
https://dyinglightgame.com/dyinglight/hellraid/?lang=en_US
It consists all of three levels of dungeons where you need to fight new various enemies and you get new weapons as well.
a new DLC releasing aug 13 for pc and aug 14 for console
see our pinned post
and here is info on their website about it
I would save your money to purchase the new Hellraid DLC set to release on Aug13-14. The cost is 9.99 and if you check out our pinned post you can get more info
and here is the site for all the info
> the event
Which event?
Here's the most recent event i saw on the web site, but it ended July 9th:
You can still get it from the official dying light website. I’m from Germany and I got it without a VPN and “Hellraid Beta” is listed under my DLC’s on Steam. :)
I believe that the base Dying Light game is the same regardless of which edition you purchase. I realize that if you go to the "Buy" page on the Techland website here, it states that the Enhanced Edition comes with "Dying Light The Original Game Enhanced".
However, if you go the main Dying Light page here, scroll down and read the description there for the Enhanced Edition it states;
> Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition is the fullest definition of an open world game set in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by zombies. Now available in its most complete form, taking the gameplay experience to a brand new level.
I read that the "most complete form" means the base game, enhancements, and DLCs released in the first year, rolled into a single release.
I think that pretty much confirms that the base game is the same regardless of which edition. There's been so many updates since the original release, including patch releases and content, like the 10-12 Content Drop, which apply to every Dying Light game, that it wouldn't make any sense for the base games to be different.
I don't know when the original game was updated with the Enhanced Edition base game "enhancements" but I wouldn't be surprised if it was almost right away after the original Enhanced Edition was released.
There's no official answer from Techland yet, but most likely the answer is no.
Explanation:
Dying Light was released in 2015, with a Season Pass for the first year DLC content. Including;
That's why the Season Pass is only useful for customers who purchase the base game, and want all of the first year DLC content too. With the release of the Following DLC, Techland also released Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition, which consists of the base game and the entire first year of DLC content, in one purchase.
Since then, each DLC produced by Techland have not been included for either Season Pass or Enhanced Edition customers. You've either had to purchase them, or for 3 of DLCs Techland has provided them for no charge. They are;
The 10-12 content drop is available for all platforms, and the two weapon packs are currently available on PC, (Steam).
So it's more than likely that the Hellraid DLC will be something that will need to be purchased, and like the other DLC content produced since the Following, it won't be included for either Season Pass, or Enhanced Edition customers.
we have no info on it at all yet, they will be providing more info on it in the coming months before to release sometime this summer.
However, if you check out this link it will give you an idea of what the game was supposed to be like and possibly what to expect in the DLC. It was to be a hack and slash title set in a dungeon type location.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellraid
Also if you go to the dying light site you will see what they mentioned the DLC would be like as well
As soon as more info is provided it will be pinned to the sub for future reference
Understood. IMO the DLCs which added quests/storyline have been included as part of the Enhanced Edition for some time now and you wrote that you have two of them. I'd suspect you have the rest of them as well, but for the record they are;
Which are all included in the Enhanced Edition. Then as part of the free DL 10-12 content drop these were added;
(I can see how someone might not think some of those don't qualify as adding new character/storylines but they do add something new to do).
So you pretty much have all of the DLCs which you can get already for adding things to do to your game. For me, the Following was the absolute best and biggest "addon" DLC, (although I regularly farm Bozak and the Prison too).
Finally the community events, which still continue, are a source of new things to do, and usually provide some new weapons as well, (like the current one and the Deadeye bow).
Good Luck..
This isn't correct.
The Empress blueprint was provided as part of the Dying Light "10 in 12" DLC content drop from 2017 through 2018, made available to everyone who has the game.
It's basically a blueprint that can be applied to any machete which provides a new skin, but doesn't change the weapon stats, (and it will lower the durability of the Skull Machete if applied to one).
It is supposed to have a "chained weapon" attack mode though.
You can check #2 contents here: https://dyinglightgame.com/dyinglight/buy
If you want to buy the main game, then the DLC, I think you'll spend a bit more, since I saw the main game going for 10$ and the DLC for another 10$, while the Enchanced Edition (which includes the DLC) was like 14$ in total.
Yes, it's worldwide. The official website confirms it.
>It’s been 15 years since humanity lost to the virus.
>The last great human settlement exists within an unforgiving, infected world, plunged into a modern dark age.
The city is one of the last human settlements on earth.

Great game. Even the menu gives me chills, because the music is so good. Game released 2015, tons of updates and free content. They even cashed in on that Battle Royale, baby.

Seriously, thanks for bring this game up. I love it a lot and should keep playing it. I wil throw my money at Techland all day long.
There has been no information so far that would suggest the game is going to be EGS exclusive. Although dyinglightgame.com shows only "PC" as supported platform, rather than Steam, which may or may not mean anything. It is probably just too early reveal details until the release date is announced. Techland also has the Gemly store for selling games, but only as Steam keys, there is no separate client for this store.

It got released and was a co-op hack & slash open world RPG with crafting mixed in. It was a fun game but the trailer painted a whole different story :)
There's also Dead Island 2 that's currently in development and changed hands. I wouldn't bet this one's gonna be any good, it's slowly going Duke Nukem on us.
And then there's Dying Light. Made by the people who made Dead Island 1. They learned their lesson and released a very, VERY good zombie game. Seriously, play it. Alone or multiplayer it doesn't matter cuz it's so darn good. They also released an expansion to the game. Yes, expansion. Not DLC. So you get as much extra content as the original game had. Oh and after more than three years they still update the game and add events or content for free. Just took a gander at their site, they're holding a sale and adding new PVP & PVE content.
People say CD Projekt from The Witcher series love their community. Well, the guys who made Dying Light are honesttly at the same level, only less talked about.
Destiny 2 seems to be the biggest coop shooter nowadays but I don't play it myself so I can't tell you how hard it is. I've heard it's reasonably forgiving but maybe someone else can chime in there.
Dying Light is an open world zombie shooter with a campaign that you can play coop
