It's called Canvas. It's a popular app/website for colleges to use as places for students to turn in assignments, answer questions posted by professors, keep track of grades, etc. I'm not OP but my school uses the same thing.
Canvas? Is this big in some nursing schools?
EDIT: Apparently it's this? https://www.canvaslms.com ? I've never heard of it.
EDIT2: Jk, this here
I need this laptop to do classwork in all of my classes. The school I'm in uses an online education suite called Canvas. Here's a link that explains in detail what it is. All of our teachers are trained to use it, and all of our assignments are on there. This means I need an internet connection to do any work. I can't use another laptop because the school's WiFi network only works on the school-issued laptops due to some technical stuff I won't explain. Booting into a USB stick also causes the school WiFi to not work. I can't use my phone's hotspot, because my cellular internet speeds are so bad, that it's basically unusable.
It's not PHP but honestly, you really shouldn't lock yourself into a language when you're looking for solutions.
https://www.canvaslms.com. Canvas LMS is pretty nice and open sourced on GitHub as well. https://github.com/instructure/canvas-lms
I actually prefer Moodle, but our district mandated Canvas last year so I had to make the switch. Now that I'm used to it, it's not so bad.
To hand back, what I do is create an assignment and then attach PDFs as comments. It's also got a pretty nice rubric setup where I can just click their points.
Pretty sure you can get a free teacher account.
This doesn't really answer your question, but i'm just curious: why are you posting homework on a blog? Are there no face-to-face hours? I mean it seems easier to just tell the homework at the end of class, or is this some sort of remote teaching? If other teachers are using the same method, have you considered something like Canvas?
Have you thought about integrating with Canvas?
It's an open source LMS that's used by a lot of schools (Mine included) and this app would be amazing ever if it worked with it!
