The Momentum app is a great iOS/macOS/watchOS digital alternative. The key is, as you explain, not to add all prospective habits at once or it will feel like a chore and you’ll be more likely to skip.
I have an app that tells me what streak I’m on and also give me reminders. It’s called Momentum. It seems to not be for Android, sorry if anyone interested has that.
I've tried some of those, and Momentum seems to be the most polished (IMO). But I changed it for Focuster to store my actions, tasks, plans in one place well integrated with Google calendar. This approach works better for me.
