I feel like I'm spamming by now but since so much people have a hard time with what happened, I think this might be helpful:

Now it's up to you :-)
Obviously it won't work from your IMDb app, but Chrome and Firefox support scripts, even on mobile.
Twice last night. Watched Billy Wilder's Five Graves to Cairo and wanted to see what people said about it because it only has a 7.4 average, but really felt like a 8.5-9/10. After scrolling down I remembered the forums were nuked. Bummer.
Then I watched The Major and the Minor and wanted to know if the lead actor, Ray Milland, was the poor man's Jimmy Stewart of the 40's, but alas, I forgot, no boards. I couldn't even see if people agreed with me that they looked similar.
I even checked wayback machine to see if there was a way to look at the old posts.
There is one post that looks promising, but I guess it's lost to time.
http://www.moviechat.org/ was supposed to archive all the old posts, but both Five Graves and Ray's pages have zero discussions. Cross referencing with wayback machine, I know they were on imdb as of a few weeks ago.
So frustrating. Even google-fu of "Ray Milland looks like", "Ray Milland sounds like", or "Ray Milland Jimmy Stewart" turned up nada. And where else is anyone going to discuss 5 Graves imdb rating but on imdb itself?
Not exactly the destruction of the Library of Alexandria, but at the very least decades of discussion up in smoke because some celebs got their feelings hurt.
I watch quite a bit of film/tv, and don't want to post every little curiosity that flies through my head to a new thread on r/truefilm or facebook or wherever amazon said people talk about film now.
Moviechat.org has message boards for each film, and some of those have threads from IMDB's boards. Not all of course, but a decent amount from what I can tell. For example: http://www.moviechat.org/movies/tt3756788
From this thread on MovieChat:
>First, install Greasemonkey (it's an extension). Then, go to the script page and click the green "Install this script" button. > >Then a Greasemonkey pop-up will appear, wait a few seconds and click "install" (or "OK", I don't remember). And you're done! > >Message boards will be back at the bottom of every IMDb pages :-)
Huum, since yesterday there's a way to access message boards from IMDb again.
See, MovieChat.org is using a back up of previous IMDb threads and discussions are open to join.
Now that's nice and all, but it's an external website... Well, someone created a script allowing us to access MovieChat boards from any IMDb page.
See, it's freaking convenient!

You could give it a go and spread the word to those who are still mourning IMDb message boards :-)
Someone posted this and I'm surprised a lot of messages were archived. Sent you a PM with details, OP. But for others, this is where you can (continue) discussions about specific actors, films, TV shows, video games..
Help others find out about that place. It just started up about 6 days ago and needs returning users.
