Xournal was OK, I think MrWriter improves it quite a bit https://unruhschuh.github.io/MrWriter
I was using the latter to create notes, then just copy/pasting into Evernote.
TBH though I’m finding MS OneNote works best for me atm as it combines the note taking and organising (I know, I know, heresy on a KDE/OS thread. It’s free but only as in beer). For some reason it seems to work best in KDE as a standalone webapp (‘Create Shortcut’ from Chrome or Chromium). It works in a browser tab but for some reason the stylus/cursor movement was jerky, didn’t draw smooth lines.
