Eve Online
A: My corp sees that stooge's empire tower has shiny labs, we want the blueprints inside. So we declare war, and lay siege to his tower.
B: Stooge removes blueprints JUST in time, but doesn't manage to rescue anything else. We grab the valuables and leave.
C: I log on mining alt with no history or affiliation with my corp. I then fly to the system (in a mining barge), act like a total noob and proceed to "sympathize" with the stooge about griefers. After a short bit of communication, I offer to help move what gear he has left (mining barges have a large cargo hold).
D: I tell my corpmate to log back in. I grab the most valuable remaining gear, stealing the loot flags my alt hostile to my corp. I tell stooge I am being attacked by 1 hostile and need assistance. As soon as stooge tells me his is en route, I leave, head for a different system, drop off the loot, and leave the mining barge and switch out to a free "insurance" ship.
E: Corpmate kills Stooge's shiny fit ship, and loots it's corpse, fills up with what little remains of the tower and splits the profits with me 50/50
F: I tell Stooge that my alt was killed by my corpmate. Stooge buys me a replacement mining barge, which I sell. Then Stooge offers my alt a position in his corporation.
G: After 3 months I convince Stooge and Stooge's few other corpmates that I am well skilled for production now. They give me access to lots of resources and the blueprints we didn't get to steal earlier. I empty the corp wallet, transfer all the resources to my personal hanger, and safely tuck the blueprints in my cargohold.
H: I leave the corp, sending everyone in it a note of apology. Stooge puts a massive bounty on my alt's head. I kill my alt with my main (which means I get the monetary reward) sell all the booty, and proceed to waste the small fortune on suiciding into much larger groups.
Evernote: I don't organize it, rather I just create notes in one big directory, and let the search find things for me. I treat it like my personal Google.
Wunderlist: They have a web app, and apps for iOS, Android, Windows, and OSX. I input everything I need to do, and everything other people ask me to do. In meetings, when someone goes "hey, can you send me report foo, then curl service bar and add the result to our wiki page bleh?", it's already being added as tasks. Thus, at work I never forget to do anything asked of me, which amazes people. A Lannister always pays his task debts.
ConEmu and VIM (yes, on Windows): For quick editing of small files in random locations, nothing beats VIM.
Some Taiwanese are also planning lots of projects for Coco's graduation. Like setting up a website, drawing fanarts, building monument in Minecraft (or something like that).
They even hired Kuroda Takaya for some voice acting. And are now hiring advertisement companies to create printed advertisements on billboards, bus etc.
Seriously. I want no fucking part of this. Every tedious bit of hero worship I get plastered with is only used by Reddit-at-large to "hold me to a higher standard" (which basically means "I want you to only do things that I agree with so that when you do things I disagree with I can hate-stalk you and chide you for not being a better person"). Know what's worse then half of Reddit wanting to suck your dick? A quarter of reddit wringing their hands with furrowed brow because you said something that upset their delicate sensibilities and since they wanted to suck your dick before but now they're not so sure their self-doubt turns into self-loathing and we can't have that mama would be sad so BURN THE WITCH
Let's get one thing straight:
There are genuinely good people on Reddit. People who help others every day. There have been genuinely good acts performed on Reddit. People helping anonymous strangers and hard-luck cases because they are fundamentally kind. With any luck, this post will fill up with them - we're off to a good start already.
But I am not one of those people.
I'm here for three things:
1) to openly mock rape victims
2) to troll and frustrate film aficionados
3) to get admitted narcotics traffickers back on the streets sooner
The last fucking thing I need is one of my bottomless army of concern-trolls saying "a true Reddit Hero would never have used the f-word, you horrible, horrible man." So I'll take my poop and grin and that will be that.
Deal?
I’ve literally started an open data set of all the Lower Mainland shootings (complete with Calendar View). I was getting annoyed at not being able to see a complete view of what’s going on. https://www.notion.so/robinmonks/0da991652caa406f9a38015ffecfd65f?v=d60241b8721343698a4a6a17123c89e7
Well this will be tough to top. I accidentally burned down my parents house. No one was in the house thank god, but the guilt I feel is pretty intense. It was about 10 years ago and it still makes me queasy still to just write that. Yeah yeah, it was an accident, but it is pretty much the worst accident ever. I left a candle burning in my room too close to the shelf it was sitting on, left the room for awhile, and it caught the whole shelf on fire, which spread unbelievably fast. The smoke alarm went off and I ran upstairs, but it had literally spread to the wall already. I tried to get a bucket of water, but by the time I did that it had consumed the whole room. So, it was basically time to just get the F out of the house and that was it.
Insurance basically made my parents financially whole, but things have never really been the same. They totally forgived me and were so understanding, but even though they quickly recovered and have a really nice home now, they just never quite seem to me like they are "home." Every time I think that it makes me want to curl into a ball.
Anyway, good luck topping that one.
Chomsky has been saying this for a long time, and now there is proof: Israel (and therefore the US) is punishing the Palestinians for voting the wrong way.
I knew it! I said in the original thread that something seemed fishy (why would he hide the tub in his own closet? He's supposed to be a thief, not an idiot.)
Looks like your step sister was making some plans. I mean, why the f would she put the tub in her... (step-nephew who's the same age????)'s closet? The container full of money was under a bunch of junk? Why did she put it under a bunch of junk????
Kid was planning to steal the fuck out of that, but wanted to test the security standards first. You need to lay some fucking smack down with your step-mom. That little shit tried to steal the money and pin it on your son, and that's BULLSHIT.
Do not let this drop.
I highly doubt it has anything to do with cost.
A couple things first the proprietary standards, yes MS is finally learning that corps dont want a standard for their docs that is owned by another corp that might go out of business and leave them with docs they cant open.
More importantly I think, the world has seen over the past few years that american corps will do absolutely anything the government asks of them with little complaint legality be damned.
The FEAR IS NSA BACKDOORS.
Even our allies, the brits and the israelis, replace the software we give them in our military equipment with open source. They arent trying to save money, they dont want the US to be able to shut down the plane they bought, mid flight.
Though in many cases, YOU CAN SAVE A SHIT TON with open source.
just replacing office with open office in a small office can save you a ton. And yes MS office is nicer, but they both get the job done
some source, ISrael, brits and australians want the software for our f-35s
>Access to the F-35’s software source code remains a live issue for the Israelis, as it has been with the Australians [PDF], British, and others.
the russians on the other hand, sell the source code with their mig sales.
Sous vide cooked meats are deceptive. First of all, cooked to the same temperature they will tend to look redder that meat cooked with a more traditional method.
Second, pathogen destruction begins at 130°F, which would be just on the upper end of rare for beef. A piece of meat held at 130°F for a little under two hours is considered pasteurized by the FDA and (IIRC) safe for consumption by individuals with compromised immune systems. At 135°F the required time drops to 36 minutes.
That piece of meat, cooked sous vide, would look as red or redder than the burger the OP posted. I've cooked beef and lamb at 135°F that looked uncooked on the inside, but had great texture and taste.
It's pretty cool stuff.
There's this very extensive list, and there's also the r/HololiveSubs wiki page.
Original study citation: Patterns of widespread decline in North American bumble bees; Sydney A. Camerona, Jeffrey D. Loziera, James P. Strange, Jonathan B. Koch, Nils Cordesa, Leellen F. Solterd, and Terry L. Griswold; November 2010 PNAS.
It was only 4 cherry picked species, and only those with high Nosema bombi infections + low genetic diversity within their populations. Already we have a problem because populations at risk of decline from ongoing high rates of infection are inherently genetically slim.
The study and model are so complex that we (a small, admittedly self-righteous group of entomologists, climate modelers and ecologists) spent over 2 hours today trying to understand how they had "corrected" 100-year-old data with unknown sampling methods and how they constructed their model from the historical data.
Hysteria about native bee decline pays my stipend and does generate interest in their conservation, so I'll keep my criticisms brief. There is little conclusive cause for alarm at this point, and this study is not conclusive or even reliable at this point.
This is a commonly requested feature and they've dropped some hints it's coming soon:

Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, and arguably George W. Bush (had a grenade thrown at him, but it was a dud). Just because they survived the attempts doesn't mean that they are exempt from the intentions of your list
If we want to get technical, Lee Harvey Oswald was a socialist, which is left-wing not right-wing, so we can add John F. Kennedy to the list on the other side of this ridiculous left vs. right dichotomy we are trying to create.
Headline is just a little misleading:
"And while some parts of the world get to celebrate Public Domain Day this year with the freeing of works by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Paul Klee, Leon Trotsky, Walter Benjamin and others, here in the US, we come up empty yet again."
So works did enter the public domain, just not in the US.

The animator, Anthony F. Schepperd, has another music video titled Wail To God for the band Ape School. The animation is similar at times and is NSFW (literally mountains and mountains of breasts).
Did you know that The Great Gatsby was written in 1925 by F. Scott Fitzgerald? It's considered one of the best American novels ever written and is on Time's greatest 100 novels list.
It's still boring though.
I often get incredibly pissed off at what I last described as "moronic gullibility", as well as people spreading it and making it much worse, purposeful or accidental. Some recent/semi-recent examples, avoiding the tradition "TENTH DOCTOR/JACK HARKNESS/OMEGA/RANI/ETC. TO RETURN":
Likewise, people bitching about the show or communities surrounding the show based on heavily outdated information and other people just lapping it up.
There are other things, like the BBC's approach to spoilers, but I think that's much more rational and doesn't get me quite as irrationally pissed as gullibility.
In terms of creating a fleshed out main character, this may be a good place to start. I think using this to create a character in coherence with your world will be useful.
There might be some things I've missed/overlooked. If people enjoy this and think of some more things to include, I will make an updated version.
edit: Now that this post has gotten popular, I kind of wish I hadn't made this in MS Paint.
Another thing people have said is that this isn't a mind map but a mind cloud which is correct.
People have also stated that I organized things poorly, and to that I have one thing to say: yeah you're right.
My only real aim was to get people thinking about character motivation, not a step by step guide on to create a character. That being said, /u/RazomOmega and /u/ThatFanficGuy have both formatted and categorized my points much better here and here.
Glad I helped some people with their creativity, feel free to crosspost this to relevant subreddits.
r/suicidewatch can pretty much be summed up in its entirety, because every single post elicits nearly the same array of responses from different people.
A. People who tell the poster that its not too late and give other general sentimental messages
B. People with experience of suicidal thoughts who argue based on their experience that its not too late.
C. People with experience and who are still considering suicide relating to the poster's feelings point blank.
D. People with or without experience offering philosophical advice in an attempt to appeal to the posters reason.
E. People with or without experience advising the poster to seek professional help.
F. People with or without experience advising the poster to engage themselves in some specific activity, be it exercise, socialization, or some other activity to relieve depression.
G. People with or without experience who ask the poster a question in an attempt to engage them in an extended conversation, or offer to talk with them.
The sad part is, even the entire spectrum of advice one can possibly offer is often not enough. How could that be? How could the efforts of tens, if not hundreds of people at a time, to help one individual, be ineffective? It is a mystery. Perhaps it is because none of us truly has any non-emotional, non-self-supported reason for living. Equally so, none of us has any non-emotional, non-self-supported reason for dying. Here we are, attempting to support another person, but no matter how much effort, it will fail if they are not, eventually, the one who comes to support themselves.
Unironically I wrote a short noncommerical "How to get started on a dirt bike" article for a moto discord

John/Huggybear:
This is Chad from Austin's Pizza Call Center. I'm glad you enjoyed my doodle enough to post it on Reddit.
I was having a bad day at work last night, but the request on your online order made my night. Figured I should oblige such a creative request the best I could. I posted the doodle on my FaceBook account (www.facebook.com/groundxero) shortly before e-mailing it to you. I figured I might get an e-mail back from you and a few comments on my post. Little did I realize by the time I came in to work tonight the thing would literally have gone viral.
I want to assure naysayers that this was REAL, not a faked occurrence, nor was it some elaborate marketing ploy by Austin's Pizza. (Although upper management, I'm sure, is appreciative of the publicity.)
I would, however, like to take this opportunity to capitalize on this unforeseen event with a little shameless self-promotion of my art through our website, www.SCABFARM.com.
I literally just signed up for this account tonight when I learned about all the buzz about this, so I hope I'm not violating any Reddit rules by self promoting.
Thanks again, John, for making my night at work a little more entertaining, and keep those requests coming!
Sincerely, Chad F. (aka Xero)
I think you're overlooking quite a lot of people here. Mainly Wesley Snipes: A) He refers to himself in the third person B) He has a long "magical" hair growing from his ear that he refuses to cut and that has to be digitally removed from his movies C) While filming Blade, he stayed in character ON AND OFF set and would make his wife and kids refer to him by his character name D) He's a believer in that bullshit Egyptian "I am god" religion E) Refuses to pay taxes F) He once beat Halle Berry so badly that she is almost deaf in one ear G) Just fucking look at him.
It's too bad. He was certainly a good programmer. I'm not too surprised, though. He probably had no idea how reliant everybody would become on his mod, combined with the crazy amount of pressure he received over the holidays, the fact that he's 15, how hard it is to stay on top of such a volatile environment like Minecraft is. All we can hope is that bukkit will turn out to be all it is advertised to be.
Am I missing something? No offense, but aren't these are all just standard options in Notion - full page calendar and filtered gallery views?
To the commenters, you don't need to wait for a template or ask for "new features"... Notion has already done it for you... type "/calendar" and you got it.
Notion's own help and support page (https://www.notion.so/Help-Support-e040febf70a94950b8620e6f00005004) tells you how to do all of this (including majority of everything else posted in this sub).
The merge is obviously the biggest upgrade coming down the pipe in terms of impact, but I'd just like to share some of my enthusiasm for other big upgrades like Verkle trees, statelessness, and state expiry. These are massive improvements on the underlying node structure and will even have a positive impact on the gas costs for certain contracts by making it more efficient to access certain data.
I'm talking like, have-a-node-on-your-phone levels of client improvement here. No need to rely on Infura when you can just send transactions out using a light client built into your wallet.
I don't understand half of the data science and math behind it but this stuff sounds incredible.
This is true for most of the brokers though. However, I really hope that doesn't dissuade people from going forward with signing up and moving. If Robinhood will do this to you now, they'll do it to you in the future. I really hope everyone signs up for Tasty, Fidelity or literally anything else. I would really lean towards Fidelity, considering they had no hiccups with what was going on and are self clearing.
/u/alexsmith2332 compiled a really great list here of some popular options with the highlights. At this point, I don't really care what broker people switch to, I just REALLY hope they switch.
My god! They're everywhere! How long have you known about this??? [NSFW if you can't figure it out]
I see your Bill Hicks and raise you a George Carlin:
"Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. F*ck Hope.'"
I mean, I think it goes without saying that NFTs are absolutely fucking moronic, but I think this is a new low for milking money out of fans for something they don't even own.
To those who are inevitably going to come in here and say "OMG WHEN DID MINECRAFT GET UNICORNS‽", this is not in the game normally. It's the result of a mod called Mo' Creatures.
From the about page:
> Like the cliché goes, we started Obsidian because Erica couldn't find anything that can satisfy her need to build a personal knowledge base. She has tried all kinds of software from TiddlyWiki to TheBrain; nothing felt right though. > Quarantine finally gave us the chance to start making it. After thinking about it some more, we decided on the three most fundamental directions of Obsidian: - Local-first and plain text; - Link as first-class citizen; - Make it super extensible.
I'll leave this up because I'd be interested if anyone has anything to say about it, but a little more inspection has me thinking this is actually unlikely: Pine Bluff is 70 miles from Beebe and is most definitely down river.
ctrl+f "fake".. yeah look at how different the font of the "funny stuff" is from the headings and such. Also, if they didn't try to pack it in with all kinds of hivemind jerkoff shit i may not have noticed but a real report of an incident like that would read like this:
Came to work drunk/on drugs. Rude to customers and speaking in gibberish. Terminated on the spot.
Sorry, but Managers of Dominos Pizza don't write these reports for the entertainment of the internet. Just the facts. Reciting Pi is where it jumped the shark.
People, there are a lot of ignorant posts here.
First - What goes into Medical costs is determined by Health and Human Services.
Second - Very few (if any) health care companies have an MLR below 80%. Most operate around 83-87% across all their products.
Third - Profits for health care companies are in the 3-8% range.
When you look at the profits of for-profit hospitals and drug companies, you all might start to get the picture of why our healthcare costs are so high. Oh, and quit smoking, drinking, and eat a f*cking salad. That alone could reduce our premiums by above 50% (80% of costs in the US are caused by 5 conditions which are primarily lifestyle driven).
Yeah, bring on the down votes. But most of you here are just as uninformed as the right wing people you bitch about.
I work for the 9-1-1. I received calls for people driving recklessly because
A) They were drunk
B) They were old
C) They were tired
D) They were using their cell phone
E) They were putting on make-up
F) They were handicapped
G) They were speeding
H) They were having a heart attack
I) They had just swallowed a whole bottle of pills in an attempted suicide and decided to ran away with their car because their spouse had called 9-1-1
I never, not once, ever received a call for someone driving recklessly because their were high on weed.
So in conclusion: dont drive stoned; but also don't drive if your old, tired, gonna use your cell phone, have heart problems, are handicapped, need to put on make-up, think you are a F1 driver or just attempted suicide by swallowing a whole bottle of medication.
Fuck it, just take the bus.
I would say most of the weight issues were achived by cutting your carbohydrates. I don't believe cutting out red meat had anything to do with it. If so very little.
Looking at your list (simplified):
-red meat = -protein -fat -soda = -carbs -water -white bread = -carbs -white pasta = -carbs -white rice = -carbs +whole grain = +carbs +vitamin complexes +veggies = +water +carbs +vitamin complexes +mineral complexes +lean meat = +protein +fish = +protein +fats +water = +water = -p-f-c-w-c-c-c+c+v+w+c+v+m+p+p+f+w = 2v+p+m+w-2c
Well done.
I love the marine thing. An over hyped marine lived near us and came after myself and my brother, 12 and 13 because our football went near his house. My dad who had a stroke, not much use of his left side, came out and invited him over to "discuss" the problem at hand. The punk had veins sticking out of his neck and was screaming at my dad.
Pops, leaning on a stick, leg swept the marine dork, shifted his weight onto his bad leg and stick, stomped the guys solar plexus in what had to be three seconds. The hooya was left writhing and crying and gasping for air. We were too blown away to even cheer. Pops casually turned and limped back into our house. Before we get all marine-y here my daughter (dad rolling over in grave) was a corpsman in Iraq and Afghanistan.
God bless all the tough dedicated Marines out there who shut the F*#k up and fight the fight. In a recent interview another leather jacket wearing feauxstud, Bush, with a simpleton's smirk on his Alfred E. Newman, said "it was real hard for him to make the "deshishon" to go "agin" his "free market" principals(?) and do the TARP thing. So, that and the two wars Bush initiated along with the free market "thing" has left us as a financial colony of China and emptied the coffers...Obviously this blowhard needs to learn how to read.
Like my dad used to say The army does the fighting, the marines get the credit and the navy gets the pay. One caveat, the old man was a staff sergeant under Patton during WWII.
Hey Sure_Ill_Draw_That, I know you're busy but can you draw me a picture of a marmot smoking a cigar and holding a katana? I need it for a class project.
Latest project building a zkEVM rollup: https://hackmd.io/@yezhang/S1_KMMbGt. Interestingly, this is the first look at Ethereum's possible future zkEVM upgrade. Everyone thought it was 5-10 years away, but clearly zk tech is advancing exponentially.
With all due respect, seems like something for support/sales at Notion: https://www.notion.so/contact-sales
It seems pretty clear to me that something is "wrong", but no idea what. Perhaps someone entered the Belgian tax rate incorrectly.
Quite enjoyed this. Classic and timeless sales techniques. I’m a geek so here are the main points outlined in my notes. Feel free to save/duplicate this for yourself
I'd highly recommend https://www.notion.so
For your purposes it would be completely free and doesn't just about everything you want (except reminders but I don't think any wiki has that). It has web interface / ios / android and more.
I've been using it for a few months and love it!
I wish I could say it gets better at the higher end establishments for cooks, but it really doesn't. I work in a four star hotel, and I can tell you it's not much better here. Along with the crappy hours and chaos of the kitchen there is also the ego of the executive chef. If your lucky enough to end up in banquets, or prep then it's not that bad, but the guys on the line get the short end. I no longer work F&B, but when I did at the hotel I can tell you I was always polite to the kitchen even in the craziest of times.
Note to all servers: Spend a few minutes learning the names of the kitchen staff. Greet them everyday by name, and ask how their doing. Be polite despite how badly you want to yell at someone. Never tell the kitchen how much you make.
To all those still waiting tables keep up the good work. I still tip 20% or more unless they really fucked up bad.
Please visit us you will not regret it! I build a guide in this webpage so you can see the best options where to go here, please check it out here

So sartre's friend calls up sartre's house and get's his wife
wife: hello?
Friend: hey. Is sartre available?
w: no, he's a bit busy right now.
f: Do you know when he'll be free?
w: Well, he's been trying to figure that out for years!
If you still have the computer then I would do almost exactly what Liar_tuck suggested (minus the f-bomb). I wouldn't argue, I would simply smile, say "ok", uninstall everything and hand them back the computer. Simply say, "I'm sorry you to feel this way" No explanation. Nothing. You stated you run a business and customers (acquaintances in your case) change their minds often, especially when it comes to prices.
Almost a year ago, she defended Limbaugh for saying it.
> Rush Limbaugh was using satire ... . I didn't hear Rush Limbaugh calling a group of people whom he did not agree with 'f-ing retards,' and we did know that Rahm Emanuel, as has been reported, did say that. There is a big difference there.
I have watched quite a few episodes, but the part they never seem to show (unless I missed that episode) is HOW DO THEY MAKE ALL THE MACHINES THAT MAKE THE REST OF THE STUFF? Those automated factories are f**king amazing!
You could always bug the Notion team with this design concept, which not only fixes that issue, it also adds an additional feature to group database properties together

Of course, getting the BBC to agree to not spoil things is a much harder problem. The list of things they've spoiled over the years is absolutely insane. Especially since Moffat (with the Simm reveal) and Talalay (with Gallifrey's return) were apparently both powerless to stop the BBC from spoiling things in ads, I don't know if Chibnall will be any different.
After reading through the comments here, it's pretty evident that a lot of people here don't have the slightest idea what happened during the Vietnam War. The only thing exceptional about the My Lai Massacre is the extraordinary amount of U.S. media attention it received—mostly thanks to Life magazine.
The My Lai Massacre was a minor footnote in Operation Wheeler/Wallowa. In fact, four kilometers down the road from My Lai was a virtually identical massacre going on in My Khe. The operation methodically plotted out targets right on top of villages, which would be followed up by search and destroy operations on the ground. I know the media like to make Colonel Calley look like some kind of lone madman, but plotting bombing coordinates takes coordination with someone in Washington D.C. It was part of a deliberate operation managed by the 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division.
The media didn't even make an issue of My Lai Massacre until a year and a half after it actually happened. Corporate America wanted to ratchet down the war for various reasons, and suddenly, a year and a half later, there's an outrage about My Lai since it's politically useful, but it was known about among the compliant press all along.
Edit: For detail & accuracy.
Most companies who buy forestry in the coming sale will only be granted permission to fell if the trees are replanted in a sustainable manner.
There are 600 acres of privately owned woodland at the back of my house. It gets felled in 2-3 acre blocks with each block being replanted shortly after felling.
Example. It's really not that big a deal.
it's a turn. it's a fast embellishment, where you play the note above, the note itself, the note below, and then the note itself again. in this example, you would play F-A-D-B-A-F GFEF (the last 4 denote the symbol in question). In this example you would probably play them as fast as 32nd notes, so that you play all 4 notes in the time span of an 8th note holding of course the F for the final 8th note.
according to the link I posted (ctrl-f "gloves"):
You have the right to ask a Security Officer to change her/his gloves during the physical inspection of your accessible property, before performing a physical search (pat-down,) or any time a Security Officer handles your footwear. So thats a total of 3 possible glove changes, I believe.
I feel exactly the same. Our based head moderator /u/PCJonathan has compiled a list here of all the times the BBC has stupidly spoiled major plot elements for no good reason.
I mean, I think it goes without saying that NFTs are absolutely fucking moronic, but I think this is a new low for milking money out of fans for something they don't even own.
Hahahah. I used only Lightroom
And after I worked with the tones curve. Once the exposure was fixed, I worked on the colors. :)
If you are interested some time ago I wrote about my Workflow: Workflow in Lightroom
Holy Crap!
I have just tested this locally (Windows 7, 64-bit system but Apache running in 32 bit mode and this code hangs it).
Holy Crap!!!
Just installed a phpBB testbed locally out of curiosity to see how it handles the ids in the url, eg:
/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=2.2250738585072011e-308
This does work, and will screw the server so please don't be a prick and start breaking peoples forums to test it.
Short term fixes anyone? A global sanitize user input function? preg_replace
non-int values instead of casting to (int)
anywhere you're using it?
What a nightmare... now to see if WordPress has an entry point...
Seems like someone beat me to it already but yeah there is the list of recommended translation channels that has a lot of translators that are for the most part trusted in one way or another.
Very recommended to save this list
There's also a weird thing with the Kirby covers in Japan vs North America.
Japanese cover: Time for a fun adventure!
North American cover: Shit just got real.
Here is what an amino acid looks like.
The 'N' group is converted to urea and excreted.
Everything else undergoes gluconeogenesis and turns into glucose. (And that R can be f-ing huge on some amino acids)
Getting glucose from protein is going to be better than getting straight glucose in the diet since protein has a higher Thermic Effect of Food (so more calories needed to digest it) and even so, it seems to have less of a correlation with body fat levels than the other two macronutrients in excess, but it can still contribute to body fat levels.
lol i bet this is the same person who wrote an article on write.as refuting the dp's article. it's since been taken down but i found an archived copy on the wayback machine. a load of hot crap imo as a penn student, but yall can read it and form your own opinion

Honestly, putting the ridiculous amount of retard that is expressed in your post, let me give u a fucking explanation. Air cools as it rises. At a cruising altitude for a jet - 39,000 feet - air temperature is maybe -40C/F. At that temperature, the air can hold maybe a gram or two of water vapor. When the air coming out of jet engine, at around 1000F hits it, a lot of weird shit happens. The air coming out of the engine has been immensely compressed and heated up. The first thing that happens when it comes out is that it cools at an extreme rate. When this air cools, the compressed water vapor cannot be held in it anymore (look up what relative humidity is). Thus, the water vapor condenses as there is not enough room in the air for it to float around. there are your fucking contrails, twat.
The State of 1559 - Update 007
> TL;DR 📝
> Large state testing is 99% done, expect a write-up soon 🔜
> EIP-1559 has been updated to be Berlin-compatible 🇩🇪
> We’ll be proposing EIP-1559 for inclusion in the London Hard Fork during the next AllCoreDevs call 🇬🇧 > Note: this doesn’t guarantee a decison will be made on the next call, or that it will be accepted!
> Miners are pushing back against EIP-1559 and others are pushing back against the pushback: lots of new write ups from both sides, and a community call is planned for this Friday ⛏
> A few bonus posts that were too good to ignore are linked at the end of this update 👇🏻
Client dev here.
All clients will have slashing protection at launch, meaning they will track your block proposals and attestations and make sure you don't contradict yourself.
Also clients are implementing a common import/export format to share that information to ease migrating across clients https://hackmd.io/@sproul/Bk0Y0qdGD
Now even with slashing protection slashing can occur if:
Also just to be clear, slashing is the result of an active malicious behavior (producing bad attestations or producing bad blocks), if you are merely inactive and miss some expected attestations/proposals you have a penalty inversely related to the whole network inactivity (very high if close to 66% validators active, and low if close to 99%).
Thank you mate! Some time ago I did a guide on editing with the same technique, the process is the same so take a look here (Pink Vibes, Tutorial)
In this case I have not changed the tones of the photo much, the photos were taken at dawn I only worked on the hsl, very little calibration (maximum 10 points per value) and no split toning.
If you have any other questions I am available :)

Congrats dude! I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma during summer break between my junior and senior years of high school. Been in remission now since March of '03 and still going strong. I had a cane made by a metal shop to use while I was going through treatment; has a gear shift knob for a top and say's "F@$K Cancer!" on the side. I'll go find it and take some pictures.
Just going to leave this here..
Firsttimerwtf - look familiar?
After delving into u/lawfultots post, I found a post by Tim Beiko that goes into depth on the architecture of the clients as the merge will occur.
It seems that all hands are on deck for the Merge, with single-minded focus on getting it done. I'm damned excited by what I see.
James has already replied saying "this is the fast paced environment we operate in, sorry you couldn't handle it". I'm paraphrasing but that's generally how it comes off.
Imho the most useful comment on that page:
> I know this has been said a thousand times before, but it seems that those that have a problem with this change don’t understand the difference between gender and sex. > > Gender is identity, how you or society identifies you by preconceived notions of what role your sex plays in that society. (male, female, transgendered, lesbian, gay, x, alien) > > Sex is biological. (male, female, unknown/other) > > Working in the medical field, specifically as a programmer that works on a EMR system for a large medical center, we have both sex and gender fields in many places. As the ISO 5218 standard states for SEX, not GENDER, we use MALE, FEMALE, OTHER/UNKNOWN and send only M,F, or U out to downstreams including government databases for SEX. For our gender field, there is a free text field.

There is a bijective map between the natural numbers and the rational numbers, but this map is not a homomorphism. That is, we may have f : Q -> N, but we won't have f(p*q) = f(p)*f(q) and f(p + q) = f(p) + f(q), where the first operations are in Q and the second are in N.
It occurs to me that maybe you mean, "forget about the operations in N and just use whatever they are from Q to force it into a field." Well, you could do that sure, but that's a little silly because then all you have is the rationals where every element has a different name. There's not really any point to it.
When people say the naturals don't form a field, they mean the naturals with the operations they've been endowed with, not some arbitrary operations you give them.
I use WorkFlowy for packing lists and trip itineraries. It's fast and has infinite list nesting, item completion, # tags and @ tags, powerful search and collaborative sharing. It's free too.
There are, however, jokes about Brits, Canadians, and Americans, and while they're obviously not entirely white nations, the stereotypes associated with them tend to be applied to white people within those countries.
I mean, picture a tea-sipping english gentleman with terrible teeth, a poutine-eating french-canadian lumberjack and a guy driving a jacked up ford f-350 with a gun rack. I would bet money that the images in your mind are of white guys.
Never, ever, burn bridges and always leave with class.
Agreed.. Rinse, wash, repeat.. walk away, move on if you have to, but that is still time invested in a company... Lifes a rough bitch and no one will blame you if you tell the guy to F himself, but been there and it didn't do a damn thing for me 4 years later.. however leaving with class has gotten me new opportunities every time
Glad to see the other side on this issue. My g/f had one (before I met her) and she doesn't regret it for a second, and said she'd do it again. Her only problem was that the asshole she was with at the time didn't go with her, so she had to ask a friend for a ride home. Makes me wish I'd have known her long ago.

Hey kid, I am so sorry to hear about your situation. I do know a cool free food blog hosted by /u/tubularjohnny. It has some stuff that will be able to give you something for a bit. Also, I don't want to plug myself, but I made a list of free food resources available online for a side project that I have been doing on and off over the course of two years. You can find that list here; some of the offers are a bit dated, but you will definitely be able to find some good stuff in there as well.
I always thoughts it was gamefacks, like gamefacts, because it contains facts (walkthroughs) about games. You've got to realize, this was in the .com bubble, when rushing to get any domain, legible or not, was a race where a lot of big sites had names with little rhyme or reason, so gamefacts spelled gamefaqs made a lot of sense to me. Their logo didn't really help to distinguish this difference too, since the lettering was all uppercase and the same height.
Then one day a friend says, "You know it's Game-F-A-Qs, right?". Oh boy, did I feel dumb.

What? Just me? Seriously guys, It's a 3 and a 1/2 minute continuous shot that sets the tone for the film. I heartily recommend you to check out the whole film.
Knowing what key center(s) the chords create is a good start. It does not always tell you exactly what scales or notes to use because of stylistic variations.
E A F Em
There is no single key that fits all these chords. There are at least two keys.
First let's look at E and A. You can fit both into one key.
E and A can be the "I" and "IV" in the key of E major. E and A can also be the "V" and "I" in the key of A major.
Depending on the style you could start with either the E or A major scale or the E or A major pentatonic scale.
E major: E F# G# A B C# D# E major pentatonic: E F# G# B C#
A major: A B C# D E F# G# A major pentatonic: A B C# E F#
I like the second choice (A major or A major pentatonic) because the upcoming F chord does not fit as easily with an E tonal center, even though that's the first chord. E as the tonal center would require a modal approach in the next two bars, which is not the first thing you want to learn. (It'll be the second thing!)
Now to the chords F and Em.
These may be the "vi" and "V" chords in A minor.
So to get a really simple solid approach to playing in a non-jazzy way over the progression, try just playing:
A major or major pentatonic for the first two chords, then A minor or minor pentatonic for the second two chords.
There are many other ways to do it, but this is a good start that lets you concentrate on your phrasing rather than jumping through lots of scales in your head.
The source of this thinking is knowing how to find all the chords in a key center. This is done by harmonizing the scale.
You create the chords I-vii by stacking 3rds above each note.
If the scale is A major: A B C# D E F# G#
it produces these chords: I A C# E (A) ii B D F# (Bm) iii C# E G# (C#m) IV D F# A (D) V E G# B (E) vi F# A C# (F#m) vii G# B D (G#dim)
Hey folks, happy Sunday. I spent the week going through the feedback I received on my previous v0.01 document on the EthFinance DAO idea. Changelog is on top if you want to skim for the new changes.

Once we get everything mostly nailed down, I'll make a new top-level post and start building!
I FUCKING finally have the answer as to why my validators were missing some attestations every day.
It has nothing to do with my setup. My setup has been running flawlessly since genesis.
I have missed a block pre 1024 and a few attestations until today due to client issues. (The block issue was a Prysm only issue, the attestations are all clients).
@potuz on /r/ethstaker discord just informed me that there is an issue with slots that are divisible by 32.
>Validators that are assigned the first slot of an epoch to attest are 20% likely to vote incorrectly on it. On each epoch a validator has 1/32 chances of attesting on this epoch, and a bad vote penalizes the validator for both head and target in this case. This accounts for at least (assuming perfect inclusion distance and a good vote on source) 0.65% of the validator rewards.
Tagging /u/superphiz as he also tried to help me with this issue but we just let it go due to number of missed attestations being <1%/day.
You're right. They tore it down in 1992. This is what it looks like now.
The Fox News story is just an AP repost. They don't have anything to do with the content of it.
There is nothing embarrassing here. =)
I'm certain his g/f is wonderful - and I have a great deal of respect for her for being able to keep up with him. You seem to be stuck in the notion that my life somehow revolves around this guy.
Nah. All I did was share a story. Nothing violating going on here.
Anyone looking to see this guy, he stands on the southbound exit ramp #112 Hudson Street. He tends to stand on the left side so you'd have to be ready to turn left to talk to him. There's not really any good places to park if you want to have him do anything longer than a few seconds and you're not prepared for it. I'm attaching a link to the location for anyone trying to find him: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=columbus+ohio&sll=37.055177,-95.668945&sspn=1.529944,1.972046&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Columbus,+Franklin,+Ohio&ll=40.014984,-82.994839&spn=0.000717,0...
The last year has been shocking on many levels.
We've lived through a pandemic that has disrupted nearly everyone's lives, we watched as America seethed through a debate over the police & race, and as politicians and celebrities refused to decry violent riots that went on for weeks. We emerged from one of the most unusual elections in history with voting rules changed at the last second by executive branches rather than by lawmaking. And, finally we watched as a president took himself and his party down in a fiery ball of narcissistic flame replete with men dressed as lumberjacks running rampant through the capitol.
Today that's all been topped. A major political party and massive multinational corporations have just removed their political opposition to thunderous applause. Unbelievable.
By the way, if you're on Android and want to install Parler, here are instructions.
Shit like this makes me sad for all those that don't see this as a possible choice in their lives. My g/f and I would happily build something like this together and both enjoy it quite a bit. Neither of us are fat, ugly or any of those stereo types. There are woman out there that love this shit as much as we do guys but they're usually hiding the same way we all are.
flashbots post-1559:
https://hackmd.io/@flashbots/MEV-1559
interesting take aways:
* 1559 means no zero gas cost mev transactions anymore. base fee must be paid.
* pricing is likely going to change to account for transactions that don't care about execution order, but just want frontrunning protection.
One thing I do as the resident note-taker of the group is use https://obsidian.md/, and then just put the notes on GitHub as a wiki of sorts. People can technically make changes, but they don't.
It's also really easy to make links, since there's a fair bit of auto-complete. And if the file doesn't exist when you clikc on it in edit mode, it is created immediately and you cna start typing.
The fact that I can do [[God of War]]
and have it turn into [God of War](../../Characters/Gods/God of War.md)
makes it really easy to get it to just work.
