> you are forgetting about that whole antitrust business MS went through
Oh, that thing where Microsoft got in trouble for bundling a browser with the OS. Good thing that practice has ended.
This looks brilliant. Here's the website where there is a playable version - haven't got round to trying it yet though and I have Ubuntu :(
I couldn't work out from the video, what are the catalysts? Was is the spiral things?
I would love to see things like evolution, where some breeders are more resiliant to the mana, and can survive long enough to produce seeds, and those seeds are resiliant to the mana etc
Edit: Ok, so I sent a message inviting the guy to come here and chat with us, I'm really excited about this stuff.
Also, he has a mindmap which makes me even more excited.
Thanks for the interest! I just posted a link in my reply to dat_ninja.
Oh, what the heck, I'll just post it again. :-)
Hah, organise? Wat is dat?
When I do organise, I use either a mindmap platform like mindmeister or just bullet points. Get enough bullet points in your outline and you can start organising them by chapter or whatever.
I also used a whiteboard but, alas, I sold it when I moved and I have nowhere to put one at the moment.
Xmind it is.
I've read Dale Carnege's How to win friends and influence people. And started taking his advice on dealing with people.
EDIT: I was trying to find out the f7u12 comic which got me started reading the book, and came across this summary of the book instead: http://www.mindmeister.com/fr/40950677/how-to-win-friends-influence-people
>They all agreed that Science is bullshit, and they get paid for no reason. They said "We work hard and science just dreams".
This drives me insane.
It's the Monty Python "What have the Romans ever done for us?" sketch, brought up to date by your Dad and his cretinous Christians cronies.
Edit: This is useful.
I give you the Indy Startup Genome Project. It maps all the tech startups in Indianapolis. Hopefully you can use this to check who's hiring!
If you're having trouble planning, I find mind maps to be very useful. I tend to set up most of my papers with these. Once you've made a complete map the writing becomes easier. Disclaimer: Doesn't Work for everyone.
Try MindMeister if you have the chance.
It's great for brainstorming and visualizing your ideas and thoughts.
If you're using Chrome, I suggest you check out the Mindmeister app: http://www.mindmeister.com/?r=169448
Another option is Mindmup! It's free and simple, and you can save your maps to google drive or export them as images or pdf! :D
similar to that however not this one in particular. the one i saw was interactive from mindmeister
like this

except more in depth
pomodoros are badass. im afraid to make that a card. i dare you.
what kind of work is it? on the subject of concentration different strategies apply depending on the type of work. a small thing that made a big differnce for me was to keep a back of an envelope and a pencil beside my keyboard. i have to keep a big assemblage of concepts in my head in order to work on it. i learned that i only have a limited amount of prefrontal cortex primetime available each day during a certain period, and cutting down on wasting it improved my output. i learned that it requires a lot of PFC juice just to load my assemblage into it for thinking about it, and when i get interrupted and then go back to it, i waste a bunch of PFC juice just reloading it. so when an oblique thought hits me, i dont entertain it. i keep the stuff in my brain and just quickly jot down the thought to process later.
its a small thing but there are many practical tips that really add up when it comes to optimally operating your old model brain. forcing yourself to try harder and keep your nose to grindstone is a non-clever brute-force attack that simply doesnt work as well as good research.
see my links to david rock video. also ran across this yesterday.
you could try http://www.mindmeister.com/
but just FYI there is a WIKI being updated as much as possible, but only based on the facts of what we know. Not necessarily trying to link all of the theories together.
I'm new at this as well, and I started a map to organize the resources I found while researching this topic. Hopefully you'll find it useful. http://www.mindmeister.com/408600431/transcranial-direct-current-stimulation-tdcs
MindMeister has a free basic account and different paid subscription options. It's web based, which means that you can collaborate with your team mates on a map in real-time. Also has free apps for iOS and Android. http://www.mindmeister.com
I think you're really looking for what he said^, but take a look at this anyway, if you think an organized heirarchy of commands might be helpful
You're wrong about the revolving door not already being in place.
I have a partial chart of Skull & Bones members and their positions in government as well as industry available here (under the Russell Trust tab).
Take a look at that and tell me the revolving door wasn't at least 50 years old by then. I'll shit bricks if I think you mean it.
What you need to use is a mindmap.
try this online version, MindMeister, click 'try it now', skip (or do) the tutorial, but when it loads, hit enter to create a new branch and hit tab to add an extending leaf.
Well, you can mitigate any negative results by both modifying your expectations and putting your most diligent efforts toward tailoring some of your conversations with him to yields results. If I had to add a single piece of advice, it would be to map out a list of questions that you must have answered before you take it a step further and try to become closer. Have you seen mind mapping software like FreeMind or http://www.mindmeister.com ? I find it great and more appealing than FreeMind for brainstorming.
If you're looking for an all around great LTR, there's no recipe but as others here can and will attest there is a primary number of factors that cause relationships to fail or succeed.
Chemistry & Attraction (& Sex) - Money - Common Interests - Common Goals - Accepting the reality of a progressive world. (Which in some cases also represents coming to terms that the way people behaved 20 to 60 years ago and still do today is unacceptable. By this I mean gender roles, controlling one another in a relationship and this extends to abuse as well.)
I believe that all of these are equally important, though in particular for example with more money there don't have to be as many compromises on either of your part.
With LTRs, especially if one or the other of you is moving to one another eventually or you're both moving to a new place, watch out in advance for real "Warning Signs" and ALWAYS have money set aside, in advance, beyond savings for emergencies so that you can get back to your old life if you have to. I know I could've avoided a great deal of trouble had I been able to. That, money issues in general and moving to fast into something very serious (living together, et cetera) have been my biggest mistakes.
Good luck! And do browse around in many others posts here so you can find out what most commonly causes relationship problems.
Take Irvington with a grain of salt--it's been known as fairly ghetto until the last 5 years, and despite great trends making it much nicer, many of the less desirable characteristics still last. Plus it's probably pone of the worst places to commute from.
In terms of jobs, there been a booming tech startup industry recently, so there should be a fair number of options to look into. Here's a map of almost every newish tech company.
http://www.mindmeister.com/ - website for creating collaborative 'mind maps', useful for planning and structuring debate on issues in tree structure
That's actually a pretty good chart, I don't know how to make it more simplified than that. I actually tried just now to make one that I thought would be more proper in delineating theological origins from legal origins, but it came out to be a mess (in terms of readability),
http://www.mindmeister.com/75670692/islam
You can minimize some of the branches to simplify it (like the Sunni Theology branch).
You're asking this now?
This might explain the origin of the differences a little better,
http://www.mindmeister.com/75670692/islam
(The extremists who resort to violence against civilians are mostly under the 'Ghayr Muqallid' branch though obviously not all Ghayr Muqallideen are extremists or violent, and not all Sunnis are peaceful, but this as close to a categorization as one can get)
