The horse is from Words Worth, a character named Stallion. For a hentai, the story isn't that bad (Stallion is not a main character, lol.)
The little maid girl is Chino Kotomura from Inu x Boku SS, easily one of the most underrated and overlooked shows this season.
Oh boy, my time to shine!
It was probably Haibane Renmei, and yes it is very good! You should watch it. It's a very emotional and "contemplative" show, so prepare yourself.
Light Yagami is from the anime Death Note
Please help your fellow anime fans by identifying the animes you post pictures from. It will make an already wonderfull comunety even a thiny bit better.

Only thing that matters: SWORD ART ONLINE
If you're not seriously pumped for this, you should be. It ain't called Dengeki Bunko's "ultimate weapon" for nothing. An extremely popular LN series (winner of the 2012 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi award for #1 top novel and #1 top male character); adaptation NOT being done by JC Staff or Zexcs or some other shithouse (A-1 aren't the best, but they're pretty solid); a relatively strong voice cast; 2 full cours to flesh out a good amount of the storyline...
...what's not to be excited about?
I just wish they hadn't made such a stupid error in the synopsis. Kirito is not a genius programmer.
Also wish they'd animate the infamous chapter 16.5, but it's kinda obvious they won't be.
Ali Al-Saachez from Gundam 00. He doesn't care what side you're on, if you're a child or an old lady, a soldier or a innocent bystander, he'll still shoot you and laugh at how easily you died.

For those unaware, NHK is an actual broadcasting station in Japan.
Nihon Hikikomori Kyōkai is from Welcome to the NHK!, which is completely unrelated.
Monster is the Anime you're looking for. Just don't get discouraged by the oldschool drawings. It's a serie that's deeply psychological and absorbing. Characters are actually realistic and grown up, so there's not much hate involved.
Anime in the picture is Nisemonogatari, which is a sequel to Bakemonogatari.
For those of you who don't know, good news. There is actually going to be a Bakemonogatari movie called "Kizumonogatari". No confirmed date, but it's going to happen.
5 Centimeters per Second, Summer Wars, and Redline are EXACTLY what you're looking for.

I was unimpressed with Ao no Exorcist. The beginning was good, the middle was meh, and the ending just flopped. The series just seemed uninspired after the first half of episodes were done. Overall, I thought the series was okay, it just felt uninspired after a certain point.
I've said this answer before but I'll say it again since it was probably one of my biggest mistakes and herp derp anime moments for me.
It sounds ridiculous now but I was hesitant to watch Katanagatari at first because, get this, of how the eyes looked on the characters. God was I a moron for that, once I gave the first three episodes a shot, I marathoned the rest of the series in 2 days. I just felt that seeing those eyes pushed me out of my comfort zone of what I was naturally accustomed to in art, for which I found beautiful after I finished the series.
Also when I read the synopsis of the plot, I was thinking it was just some generic samurai with the addition of romance stuff and again I was horribly wrong.
TL;DR Don't judge an anime by how the eyes look on the characters.
Welcome to the NHK! is one thats been on my to watch list for a while. I keep trying but lack motivation. It really seems worth the watch though.
::edit:: spelling
I would suggest Clannad and Angel Beats!
If you're looking for animes that veer more toward the tsundere romances: Shakugan no Shana's Shana is voiced by Rie Kugimiya who voices a lot of other tsunderes in addition to ~~Edward~~ Al from Full Metal Alchemist. TL:DR take a look at some of the Key animes (Clannad, Angel Beats!, Kanon, Air, Planetes)
Most important works in my book:
Yagami Light (Death Note)
Okabe Rintarou (Steins;Gate)
Mashima Taichi (Chihayafuru - It's almost like it's Light himself, but on the GOOD route)
Ling Yao (FMA Brotherhood)
I have few more anime that need to be seen with him as MC.
Samurai Champloo - same guy that directed Cowboy Bebop did this as well. Has that unique fusion of music that doesn't really fit with the setting but somehow works very well. In case your curious, it features hip hop in late 1800s Japan.
Teknoman in the states, original Japanese name is Tekkaman Blade, I'm 100% certain this is it (I was sure after you mentioned UPN). the main character wearing the suit you're talking about
This poster explained:
The character's in this poster are from the anime Lucky ☆ Star
The design of this poster is from the background of the loading screen for the level No Mercy in the pc game Leaft 4 Dead
A few short ones:
Eve no Jikan (sci-fi, slice of life)
Kowarekake no Orgel (sci-fi, slice of life)
Denpa teki na Kanojo (mystery)
i recently played Jarvan in a match where we had a disgustingly big lead and we were about to win through enemy surrender. our mid just died and left the enemy Xerath at 10% health and i was running to the lane. clock was ticking, just as i reach our tower (Xerath is around the middle of the lane at this point), they start the surrender vote. I EQ forward, reaching the halfway point to my target, flash and then press R with all might, instantly killing Xerath just as the surrender vote passes.
TLDR: Jarvan combos are fucking manly and his voice actor also voiced this guy
Mai Minakami is from the anime: Nichijou
Please, help your fellow anime fans by identifying the animes you post picture's from in this subreddit. It will make this just a thiny bit better place to be than it already is. :)
Thank you for helping me help you help us all. Have a nice day!
ps. the vector looks great
Boogiepop Phantom - enjoy it if you can make any sense on wtf is actually going on.
Cromartie High School - if you want comedy and wtf, this is it.
Creator of MAL here (and 2 year reddit user.) Hope you guys enjoy the site. I know we've had some serious lag/database issues over the past few months. But, hopefully we can put that behind us and move forward. Feel free to ask any questions :)
I don't think this subreddit's topic of interest lends itself to generating tons of links. Neverending cosplay pictures would probably get boring over time. (Maybe it already has.) AMVs that captures the hearts and minds of many show up about as often as they're already posted here. Do amusing anime pictures show up only a little less often than the funny picture threads from, say, MAL? Or am I not remembering right?
Other than that and self-post conversations... dick measuring contests for the most watched or biggest collection? I mean, they happen, but maybe once every... 3 months? Half year?
Maybe if there were tons of weekly updated and interesting shows, but would those be a lot of the same things? Or just the same thing as a self post except with everybody talking in a vacuum about the anime they just watched or the collectible they just collected week after week.
TL;DR: I wonder what sort of links could be posted here...
Dude it's missing a lot of anime that are pretty much universally liked in the community. It'd be understandable if some of the more obscure but really good shows were missed eg. if Haibane Renmei but Death Note?
I work for a relatively small company as a Software Engineer. I have never been a part of any anime clubs, only went to a con once, and all my friends know that I watch anime because it's something I do with all of them.
Basically, my anime watching habits do not get in the way of my lifestyle because it is my lifestyle. I think I'm fairly known for that (and bad puns) in both social groups because I buy and watch anime DVDs.
Not sure this is an accurate representation of my favorites but it's a top list I've made at some point.
Princess Tutu I had heard people talk every once in a while for the past year or so about it being good, but the whole magical girl wasn't my thing. I finally decided to watch it after I saw a good recent AMV with it. It was far better then I was expecting and now has me trying an other magical girl series.
All of the characters from Higurashi?
Johan Liebert from Monster.
If you like this kind of uncomfortable feeling, i would like to recommend Denpa teki na kanojo. Its unfortunately only two 40 min OVA episodes but its pretty damn good. Has a creeping, unsettling melancholic feeling to it.
It sounds ridiculous now but I was hesitant of Katanagatari at first because, get this, of how the eyes looked on the characters. God was I a moron for that, once I gave the first three episodes a shot, I marathoned the rest of the series in 2 days. Also when I read the synopsis of the plot, I was thinking it was just some generic samurai with the addition of romance stuff and again I was horribly wrong.

The beginning is absolutely phenomenal. The middle isn't as amazing as the beginning but it's still good. The end feels forced and I lost a lot of respect for the series then. I would recommend Ao no Exorcist so much more if it wasn't for the terrible ending. I've been reading the manga and where the manga and anime splits is when the anime starts going downhill.
If you liked Ao no Exorcist I highly recommend you try Hunter x Hunter. It starts out light and slightly childish but it gradually becomes more mature and dark. HxH is one of my absolute favorites.
Tiger and Bunny!!! A great drama/action superhero anime that's fun to watch even if it has its share of plot holes. I encourage everyone to give it a shot!
Series is Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
For anyone that doesn't know, the straps are from this promotion. They ran out within a day or two of it starting. I only managed to get the set through a very awesome teacher who has friends in Japan.
I just finished Baccano! It's a short series about the crime/mob scene in 1930s America with different mobs fighting for a immortality elixir. I have too many shows that are my favorite so I just picked my current favorite show for right now.
Ones that I can think of off the top of my head.
Tower of Druaga is quite good though it's a bit forgettable and shallow. It's a fun parody and gag focused anime.
Twelve Kingdoms - Highly overlooked adventure and fantasy anime that doesn't have any fan service and instead focuses on story telling and character development. The Twelve Kingdoms is a truly brilliant epic.
Hikaru no Go - HnG isn't for everyone as there is no actual action but for those who are into this kind of story, it's the best there is. I've been hopelessly addicted to this anime and I've found nothing that can even compete.
Hunter x Hunter - When compared to other shounens I think HxH gets overlooked more often than it should. It's currently my favorite action shounen and it deserves a much bigger chunk of the shounen demographic than many of the other more popular shows which have constantly and still are abusing their own fans with fillers.
I really should...
I haven't really been super active in the subreddit directly, but many of you will know how active I am in the IRC channel. I've helped run the IRC channel along with neito and airen for quite some time. I was approached to help moderate this subreddit, and felt it would be a good way to give back to the community. This is my favorite subreddit, so I am happy to be able to help out like this (my second favorite is r/coffee, in case anyone wondered).
For a little bit about me... I like a wide variety of anime, but my favorite tends to be slice of life. Here is my MAL page (though it is a LITTLE bit outdated... I usually update it from my spreadsheet every now and then). I enjoy attending anime cons, I've been going to Otakon for the past 3 years now. I plan to be at Otakon again this year, and possibly some other cons if my class schedule and time allows.
I don't really know what else to say, but if anyone wants to chat, I welcome you to pop into the IRC channel. You can get my attention by PM'ing me, or saying my name (d0nk` on IRC).
Tuturu~
I'm 23. Been into anime since times of Sailor Moon, Ronin Worriors and moives like Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. My collection currently isn't too vast because I lack the room to give anything it's own space, but I do have quite a few things. A anime I'm currently watching is Natsume Yuujinchou San, Stein's; Gate and Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai II. For more anime I've like or watch check here.
I'm always up for talking about anime or looking for cheap merchandise. Anyone feel like chatting, guy or girl, feel free.
Vaguely sounds like Blue Submarine No. 6 which is also dubbed and is based on a mad scientist who created a new form of intelligent beings and is solely responsible for flooding the Earth, causing well over half it's population to die. He also lives in what used to be Antarctica, but converted it to a well hidden, tropical paradise. [His heart is also the power generator that's keeping the Earth from flooding again or some other apocalyptic event to occur again.](/spoiler)
Edit: grammar
Ah! It all makes sense now! It's Nisemonogatari the sequel to Bakemonogatari!
Haven't seen it, but if it's anything like B then it's very weird and very awesome. Lots of drama over incredibly weird situations.
At one stage in B the guy gets in a full on brawl with an 8 year old girl because she was lost and wouldn't let him give her directions. Then he starts laughing, boasting and dissing her when he wins by a knock out.
Worth watching if only because there's nothing like it.
EDIT: Grammar
episode 100 of the original naruto. i won´t spoil it (even though it´s one of the filler comedy episodes), but the ending might be the best thing that has ever happened ever.
everyone and their mother (literally) hitting on Tsukune in Rosario + Vampire beside the fact that he´s the most useless, cringeworthy protagonist in the history of history.
and finally, everything this bitch ever did.
<strong>5 centimeters per second</strong>. One of my favorite anime movies. so sad.
<strong>Elfen Lied</strong> was also pretty sad
Evangelion, RahXephon, Lain, Paranoia Agent, and Ergo Proxy are just a few of the foundations that come to mind when discussing this type of anime.
Those being listed, I'm sure there are a lot more also worthy of mention that some people will post here. Also, check out this genre page on MAL. It's got a lot of great series that may be tailored to what you're looking for.
Kaiba, though shorter than I would've liked it to be, remains amongst my favorite anime. I just love it's juxtaposition of minimalistic animation with a very mature plot. Another great one that I don't see mentioned very often is Planetes, a unique take on sci-fi in that it's about space junk collectors. An odd premise, but it surprisingly made for a nice story.
Holy fucking shit, I can't fucking believe this the voice of Athena(Aria), Misuzu(Air) and Rosette(Chrno Crusade)....That is just....I'll be in the corner...RIP
I use the Taiga MAL updater, I read in a thread on r/anime that it was better than the Mal Updater Tool. I haven't compared the two though, so it could be just as good.
If you don't mind heavy gore, I would recommend
I'd also recommend Grave of the Fireflies, which I think should be in a whole separate category itself. It's about how a kid and his little sister try to survive on a day to day basis in war-torn Japan during World War II.
The first show that got me into anime was actualy an american one. <strong>Avatar: The Last Airbender</strong>.
My first japanese anime was <strong>Death Note</strong>. But i still didn't like the style until i watched <strong>5 Centimeters Per Second</strong>. The art in that movie is just jaw-dropping.
The OPs pic is from yuru Yuri and the "Fuck this shit" gif is from Kuragehime also know as Princess Jellyfish
Three slightly more off-kilter suggestions for you.
As far as a complex, interesting character goes, that'd have to be either Senjogahara or Misaki.
Sara Ringwold gets an honorable mention.
This may be to your liking. It's a futa head nurse raping and experimenting on other nurses in the hospital. http://myanimelist.net/anime/3995/Tokubetsu_Byoutou
Edit: DL links if you're interested. I'll try and search my memory for other ones you may like as well http://h.subdesu.org/category/releases/tokubetsu-byoutou/
Usagi Drop was a recent anime I thoroughly enjoyed. Its emphasis definitely wasn't romance, but it did invoke the feeling of "love" between characters through developing bonds and self sacrifices made to accommodate changes in ones life.
One example from the hilarious harem anime aptly titled "I Don't Have Many Friends:" http://i.imgur.com/PHlUi.jpg
I'm gonna be that guy and say that Anime is not all meant for children.
I challenge you to watch Elfen Lied and tell me it's a kid show.
If that's not what you meant, then I apologise.
EDIT: On the other end of the spectrum there's Stein's;Gate which is about time travel. Also not for kids as this would go waaaaaaaaaaaay over their heads. Bloody brilliant though.
FLCL is in a league of it's own when it comes to uniqueness. But the closest comparison when it comes to FLCL for me is Bakemonogatari.
Whenever someone asks me to describe Bakemonogatari, I can never do it. The only major difference I see with Bake to FLCL is how dialogue driven Bake is compared to FLCL. If you don't like heavy dialogue, Bake might be hard to get into. Other that that show, I haven't found anything that compares to FLCL.
So, you want some deep anime that isn't too deep?
Kino's Journey is about a girl who travels the countryside with her motorbike, visiting all sorts of different countries and meeting all sorts of different people. It's philosophical, but it's easy to follow and quite a breath of fresh air.
Haibane Renmei is about girls with angelic features living together in a small town. It's pretty slow-paced, and very emotional. It's a slice of life, but it's not a silly, comedy slice of life like Hidamari Sketch.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is an excellent movie about a girl who is able to (big surprise) leap through time. It's essentially a romance/drama anime, but it's very interesting.
Could you maybe elaborate on what sort of anime you're looking for? What do you mean by, "...this doesn't necessarily mean I want something completely serious"?
Dude don't do it or you'll miss all the -monogatri books being animated.
>Shinbo also said he wanted to animate all the Monogatari novels and catch up with the newly published Koimonogatari
I repeat
For anyone interested, there is a very good manga called "Doing Time" about a manga writer who was arrested in 1994 and documented his life on a japanese prison in manga form. Its very interesting.
This gets asked around every once in a while (Mine by the way) so maybe we can do something just like they did in r/manga only instead we can have links to Anidb and Animeplanet as well.
Monster - a 74-episode series filled with dark themes, conflicted protagonists, a long and excellent story, mystery, and intrigue.
One of my favorite anime of all time. I highly recommend it!
Hmmm, you're probably best off looking at the charts of top anime people have made.
Eva is probably the biggest of them all, but some others off the top of my head are:
FLCL
Serial Experiments: Lain
Akira
Cowboy Bebop
Ghost in the Shell
These are really some top ones, not saying that they are the "best", but most people will have watched them. Really, It's up to you to find what you like. People will say x or y is essential, but really, not just watch whatever you like.
You'll end up watching shows that get referenced a lot, and these usually turn out to be good ones.
Best of the season:
Exceeded my expectations:
Passing marks/avegare:
2012 Most Disappointing Show:
Backlogged:
General opinion - Poor season overall, but some of these shows will be part of what made 2012 one of the best years to watch airing shows ever.
now, while both series are technically over, Saint Seiya and Legend of the Galactic Heroes are both 110+ episodes and are apparently 2 of the best series ever made, the former also being there to maybe make you hyped about Saint Seiya Omega coming out in a few days. it has an extremely badass lineup of voice actors already.
Since you already said Toradora! which is my choice for favorite Rom-Com, I will pick Kaichou wa Maid-sama!. Super perfect boy Usui building a relationship with tsundere maid girl Misaki by constant trolling?
Sounds like it has been done a million times but the way the comedy plays out with the two and where it takes their bond is entertaining and makes it one of my favorite Rom-Coms.
Chi's Sweet Home
I doubt that there is an English dub, but it really plays like a kid's book anyways. Cute scenes abound. Your girls might even pick up some contextual Japanese by watching.
Nichijou too, I think you can get most of the meaning by the inflection that they deliver the lines with. They re-cut it as an educational program too, maybe look for that one. Kids like to watch what you want to watch.
Definitely steins;gate if you haven't watched it yet, its definitely tragic
Its my favorite anime by far, I will always recommend it to anyone who hasn't watched yet and it.
Source is Mysterious Cities of Gold for those wondering. Going by the fact that it's a 39 episode series from the early 80s and has solid user reviews on MAL, it seems pretty good. Anyone that's seen it care to weigh in?
<strong>Sanctuary</strong> - It's about the interconnectedness between politics and Yakuza within Japan, and the dissatisfaction about old men in power. I cannot say enough about this title, even though I haven't finished reading it yet.
Male - Mamoru Miyano - Light (Death Note), Okabe (Steins;Gate), Kida (Durarara!!)
Female - Kana Hanazawa - Mayuri (Steins;Gate), Shiemi (Blue Exorcist), Kuroneko (Oreimo), Nadeko (Bakemonogatari) and many, many others.
also Eri Kitamura. - Ami (Toradora!), Suzutsuki (Mayo Chiki!), Yachiyo (Working!!)
Want to tackle sophisticated and generally dark scenarios (with perhaps some action)?
Kara no Kyoukai movies (note: don't stop until you've watched movie 5)
Code Geass
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Rebuild of Evangelion
Fate/Zero
Phantom: Requiem for a Phantom
Want to go on an epic/dramatic shounen crusade against overwhelming odds?
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Want to take your heart on the roller-coaster ride full of laughter, warmth and tears?
Clannad (note: if first season becomes too unbearable, we'll forgive you if you finish season 2. But if you drop season 2 as well, we'll hunt you down and grind you into dango plushies.)
Toradora
Ef - a tale of memories
Steins;Gate
Eve no Jikan
How about some of reddit's other favorites?
Studio Ghibli movies: Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, etc.
Bakemonogatari (warning: not newbie friendly)
Mahou Shoujo Madoka

The Twelve Kingdoms - This anime starts out typical but after episode 5, the story picks up and you're rushed along a beautifully winding story that continually builds itself. The characters mean something to you, not because they're likeable but because they grow as you go. The mythology is solidly written and genuinely interesting. I've always loved the Adventure and Fantasy genres but there were pitifully few good Adventure/Fantasy anime, The Twelve Kingdoms is the best of these. As I mentioned earlier, it starts off a bit meh, at least that was my initial impression when I started but the more I watched, the more I realized how beautiful The Twelve Kingdoms actually was. I had to push myself to episode 6, but once I got passed that point, I became increasingly addicted, to the point I kept telling myself, "Just one more episode, then I'll sleep." What I was disappointed with The Twelve Kingdoms is the lack of more story, there are more novels out but it seems there are no plans for a second season, it is too bad but I can settle for what The Twelve Kingdoms already is.
Might wanna check out Gunslinger Girl it may have been the inspiration for this piece. /shrug
Either way its worth looking into, its a good show.
Toonami started it all for me as well. DBZ and pokemon were the main start, but my very first anime was Samurai Pizza Cats, I didn't know what anime was at the time but it the start of it all.
Steins;Gate
Cowboy Bebop
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Code Geass
Death Note
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
Neon Genesis Evangelion
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Berserk. The anime is really good but is incomplete and not nearly as graphic. The manga however has some incredible artwork, plenty of gore, damaged characters left and right, and a badass main character. The manga is still on-going though and the mangaka is taking his sweet time pumping out new chapters.....
How does the general public actually perceive "Anime?" I've actually never thought about this question. I surround myself with people that mostly have similar interest as me (anime being one), so I actually do not know how an average person see anime. If I were to ask my parents what they thought about anime, my mom wouldn't know wtf I was talking about and my dad would probably say something along the lines of "you mean cartoons?". If I were to ask an average person in their 20s or 30s that doesn't watch anime, they would probably think of anime as mecha/gundam or DBZ. Really, I don't think your average person knows or cares what anime is. I've never talked to a non anime watcher that thinks of anime as wholly loli.
I will say that I do not necessarily like the moe-ish direction anime is taking. Maybe it is just me, but I see anime turning into cute moe girls doing random cute bullshit. An example is the ever so popular show K-on!. The show has almost zero plot or character development yet people adore it. On the other hand, I have to ask myself why the show Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin is so unpopular yet having a damn good plot and character development. I can only think it is because it doesn't have high school moe girls getting into silly situations.
As sad as it is, cute sells. I'm seeing less and less anime that trys to convey an actual message. It's not the producers fault. They are out to make a profit, so they are going to cater anime to the largest potential fan base.
In the end, I don't see anime turning into some loli circle jerk though. It is definitly going more moe (which can go hand and hand with loli), but I do not see the public at large persecuting anime because of this. I think the average person will continue to not care about anime.
Sawako from Kimi ni Todoke. I find her to be very beautiful when she smiles and has an unselfish and generous personality.
That really looks like Dead Master from Black Rock Shooter. Though the background animation doesn't look at all like it's from the anime.
I'm jealous. My hair is way to short and even when it's long enough, it's not thick and full. If I could do something like this I would, but my current hairstyle is very short like a soldier's haircut.
Actually I would like to do a exact copy of this guy instead.
Monster is storytelling at its finest. It's long (74 episodes), but there are no fillers. Every single scene is important.
Check it out if you have the time.
Black Lagoon - mercenaries/smugglers
Can't think of too many. There are a lot more live-action yakuza films than anime, for some reason.
Shiki is a pretty good vampire horror anime. Good soundtrack, although the characters look pretty ridiculous at times I'd still say it's worth a watch.
It has some legitimately very creepy and unsettling moments, and the way it grays the line between good and evil is really interesting.
That PV is from 2011. And here you have the first promo (from Bakemono's EP1).
There's nothing wrong with building hype, right?
Infinite Ryvius - Scifi, survival, space, and so much more. Basically Lord of the Flies in space.
Noein - a neat story about time travel and adventure and how certain decisions can significantly effect one's past and future. Think of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time but much more dramatic in how those actions impact one's other self in different timelines.
According to MAL:
>Aya Hirano was only credited on a drama CD and not for the anime. Please don't try to add her as the VA for Bakemonogatari.
Thumbs up for having Rain Town as one of your favorites! That's a relatively unknown and neat anime short that needs more recognition.
Hmm. Shows with good soundtracks are ten a penny -- at least, they are if you ask fans -- but titles which integrate music as Cowboy Bebop does are rarer.
No one has yet mentioned Princess Tutu. Every episode is themed around a particular piece, IIRC, which is then used for the episode's final confrontation. It has a decent story, too. If you particularly dislike classical music and/or ballet, or magical girls, you might not want to try it, but it really does work the music angle in a way that few anime do.
EDIT: Oh, I've just remembered the existence of Interstella 5555, which is an hour-long movie built around Daft Punk's album Discovery (so built around it that there's no dialogue).
>Please post any feedback or bugs. Does it generally give good recommendations?
For me it doesn't give good recommendations.
My list you can see is extremely mecha oriented (just look at the tags, if nothing else). Of the anime suggested to me, only two mecha shows were posted (and I've actually seen these, but didn't add them to my list). The problem there seems to be that it doesn't take genre into account.
For me the other problem will be it greatly overcompenstates for people who have seen lots of anime.
The bottom section of my list won't get counted as "dislikes", because I can see on MAL the anime I didn't like is often ranked in the 3000's (e.g. great dangioh). Yet anime I like (e.g. TTGL) is popularity 14.
I'm not sure how to word this correctly, but essentially, if I randomly select MAL users, the thing they have in common is going to be popular anime. Popular anime is also usually ranked highly. Therefore, the recommendations are largely just going to be popular anime, with no real heed to the rest of my actual list.
Essentially:
>By default, your top 35% of completed rated anime is considered liked and your bottom 20% is considered disliked.
Is bias to getting collisions in the top 35%, and not the bottom 20%. Unless there was a way for me to add anime I don't want to watch to it, it'll continue to suggest them every time.
You haven't even mentioned the bloody anime in this line of comments.
It's Steins;gate for the person who asked.

Have a nice day.
The characters are from Puella Magi Madoka Magica , a fantastic anime that came out last year. And for the record, this wallpaper is AWESOME.
Aishiteruze Baby was almost exactly like Usagi Drop, except the main character is younger, a high school playboy who is forced by circumstance to take care of his 5 year old cousin. In my opinion, it was the better show, but that's just me. I think if you liked Usagi Drop, you'll like it, too.
