Well, if it were me, I'd download PC INSPECTOR File Recovery and let it loose on the drive. If it doesn't get your files then I'd run some kind of Windows repair utility on it.
If those don't work then I'm afraid it's time to lube up. Hopefully someone else will reply with a fix that's guaranteed to work.
