This program is the best one I've ever used for extracting audio from video files.
Once you get it up and running you can right-click on the video file, then click Convert option that pops up. Boom. Success. Not sure if you need to pay for this or not though.
Hello, There are a couple of solutions I can offer to help you. Check out: VideoPad Video Editor for editing the video (http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html)
Prism Video Converter if the problem is the file type (http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html)
If the program used to grab the bus video footage was the issue, check out Golden Videos VHS to Digital/DVD: (http://www.nchsoftware.com/goldenvideos/index.html)
another option is Prism from NCH. They have all kinds of DL on demand software and converters. You get the usual 'buy' dialogue after using it, however, you don't have to buy these tools. When the trial runs out... go to control panel/add remove programs ... select change/remove ... downgrade to free version and it never bothers you again.
Really good video/sound converters and editors
