This is probably beyond the realm of what you were considering, and if so, I totally understand, but I could really use an urn. My dad was murdered the day before thanksgiving and his ashes currently reside in a cardboard box. Now, it's not a need, they are safe in the box for now, it just seems a very unsecure and undignified way for him to be stored. I will buy the urn eventually But right now I am cash strapped. I need to pay off the funeral home for his cremation and buy a headstone yet too, as well as all the court fees involved with settling his estate. It is going to be quite awhile before I can afford the urn as the other needs are unfortunately more pressing. I'd like him settled in something safe though. Believe it or not, Walmart sells urns I added one to my wishlist here awhile back. If this is something you would consider, I would greatly appreciate it. For verification here is the article on the suspect's arraignment (it's the latest update on the case) for a very brief split second you can see my son and I in the rows behind the prosecutor. Thank you for this offer and reading through my post.
Edited to add: in case of confusion, the article states indirect family was present, that is me. My dad hadn't finished formally adopting me when he died so I'm considered family by the prosecution, but not direct lineage.
Upwork.com and PeoplePerHour.com are excellent for remote work. Once you build your reputation on these platforms you'll have repeat business. Good for copywriters, graphic designers, web designers, coders, social media managers, marketers and a number of other occupations with many freelancers.
If an Elmo doesn't come through, you might consider a Lumens Document Camera-found one here for $79.99. It works just like an Elmo only it doesn't have the white base.
Or you might consider getting an IPEVO Ziggi USB Document Camera. It is a document camera like the Elmo, but is under $100. The main drawbacks are that it doesn't have the built in light like an Elmo & you have to connect to the a projector through a computer as opposed to being able to connect it directly to the projector like you can with an Elmo & the Lumens.
I’m not sure what your current financial situation is, but I wanted to share this anyway. Maybe you could quickly save up for it or make a mini GoFundMe.
My husband and I purchased this mattress when we moved to an apartment together. It’s super inexpensive but has been the best mattress either of us has slept on, ever. It’s a perfect combination of firm and soft. The prices also vary depending on what size/length you get
As you were a bit ambiguous about the airports, I chose a mix of TPA/MCO to DEN and found 308$ as the most reasonable based on cost and time if someone was able to assist.

i just bought one of these within the last hour: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GW03N6E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
should be more than sufficient for your needs and you cant beat $200. refurbished laptops can be a little bit of a crapshoot, but with amazon youll at least be protected should anything not be right about it.
I survived college in the south with one of these window fans.
They work almost as well as ac and are a bit cheaper. I'd look into getting one.
If you're looking for plastic cosmetic front teeth, you can buy a flexible set online for $30... a lot cheaper and faster than at a dentist... might want to try this out first: https://www.amazon.com/Imako-Cosmetic-Natural-Yourself-Makeover/dp/B00UB675XS/

*edit: I just looked through the reviews. this is not a usable alternative. it doesn't seem to work for most people who buy it.
It won't help in the short term, but you guys both should look into registering pursuant to the Affordable Care Act. My understanding is that even the unemployed (and those without resources) qualify for healthcare now through Medicaid. As implausible as it seems, that actually was part of the point of it.
In the interim, you can research low-income clinics; and some doctors even have begun to reject insurance altogether, charging somewhat reasonable cash rates for office visits.
Whatever you do, though, if he hasn't been able to eat solid food in 2 weeks, he needs to be seen ASAP. So if you aren't comfortable researching the issue, he needs to go to an ER. And he should bring a book (to pass the time).
Yes, I understand immediate depreciation on a new car or even a high end luxury car, but not on a 5 year old car that's worth about $13k. And buying warranties from the dealer is a huge mistake a majority of the time, but I see where your $5k number comes from. $3k warranty on a $15k car is just crazy:
http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/magazine/2014/04/extended-warranties-for-cars-are-an-expensive-game/index.htm http://www.autotrader.com/car-tips/buying-a-used-car-should-you-walk-away-from-an-extended-warranty-227029
Anyways, if you are ready to buckle down and put in some real legwork, post your expenses/income to /r/personalfinance and let them help trim your budget. You have plenty of resources so that you don't have to go homeless, but it will involve making hard decisions, not donations from strangers who don't even buy the types of things you currently own.
I believe under the ACA, insurances cannot have OOP maximums HIGHER than $6,600. Which would mean that once she met her deductible, they would start paying 60/40 but only until she pays another $600 after the deductible is met, then they would start paying 100% for any covered services.
https://www.healthcare.gov/glossary/out-of-pocket-maximum-limit/
Is this an individual policy through the healthcare marketplace or a family plan through an employer?
Not sure if this will work or not, but it looks like there's Uber operating in Charlotte:
https://www.uber.com/cities/charlotte
And here's a page of coupons for them, including ones like $25 off your first ride (for new users):

It might be worth seeing how much a round-trip to the food pantry would cost, and whether that would cover it. Good luck!
Here is a link to a Chinese push pin manufacturer. Min order 10,000 push pins @ $.001 each making it just $10.80 for your push pins.
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/350033836/Big_Push_pin.html?s=p
edit: Now I read that this are larger than average push pins. If they still work for you, you will need less then you would with normal ones...otherwise sorry!
Hey there!
Pick a couple of ships you like from here and draw them blowing each other up with lasers. $5 enough for both of 'em?
Also, if your girl-type-person likes video games, I'd be happy to get you a copy of my game to give 'er. A long shot, I know, but it's one of the few things I can give away basically for free : )
Cheers,

I don't have kids so forgive my ignorance. Amazon brand makes a similar style formula here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RD73SZW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_dl_QXK4MHVDNY3ZSS6KWV41
I understand if that doesn't work for your baby but wanted to at least show you so you can see if it's similar and consider that option. :)
Edit: I do see you mentioned the liquid version is better for your baby and this is powder but I still wanted to mention it in case you hadn't tried it.
E-Con Morning After https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0897YYY17/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_G13PFbBG82W41?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 here you go. You have 72 hours after having sec to take it and it’s only 9$ after tax and same active ingredients as plan b. If you have amazon prime you get free next day delivery!
this is not a necessity so I completely understand if this is passed over. I would love to have a crock pot for my family. I am a stay at home mom but am disabled (currently applying for disability) and can provide proof/more details via pm if requested. I absolutely love to cook but I have been having a lot of medical problems that make cooking/ slaving over the hot stove for an hour or so very difficult and my family is getting tired of casseroles. This would allow me to have a main meal cooking throughout the day and just make a quick side to go with it. It would allow my kids and hubby to have a home cooked meal when they come home.
thank you for considering my request and God bless for doing this wonderful offer!!!
Well, here is their instagram You can also try maybe asking in /r/skylanders they might know more about how you can contact them. I can't find anything else besides facebook, youtube channel, and google + profile (but who uses that).
I posted on their youtube channel and linked this post.
Hope you can find some help to give him some joy!!
Check out airbnb.com - you can rent a room in the area for $40-$42
You'll need to register an account and verify your identity to do so. So, airbnb is an option for anyone willing to help OP out.
Additionally, there is a Super 8 with a current room rate of $49 base (I'm sure a little bit more with taxes).
To anyone considering helping this OP out; please do. I may be able to chip in $15 or so; I'm dealing with the whole disability process and have been for years. My body is broken and it has robbed me of my productivity and quality of life, and the financial help SSI/SSDI can provide OP and her brother will allow them to get more consistent medical care, transportation to psychiatric counseling, some peace of mind.... it's just going to HELP.
But if they can't make this appointment it can singularly fuck up their chances for something which is insanely difficult to get for complex medical issues in younger people. However, your help won't be wasted for sick people who will be able to get assistance from the government and get a hand up to have a better quality of life.
I'm sending vibes to OP so hard right now, but that doesn't give you a place to sleep while you prepare for this appointment.
That doesn't sound right. Under the ACA, you should be covered under your parents plan until you are 26 regardless of whether you are in school. Have your parents confirm, but that sounds wrong.
If only there were some way to automatically render one language into another...
That's not how to go about it at all.
Say like:
Hi. I'm xxxx, I'm from xxx, and I'm needing someone to talk to because xxxx. Not just spamming the word please.
If you just want someone to talk to
https://www.7cups.com may be a good start.
Thank you for sharing. This reminds me of the instructions of putting on your oxygen mask before helping the others around you.
Here is a free service, I haven't used it but stumbled upon it a few years ago. Hope it helps.
Have you tried calling them so they can manually unlock your account? I'd imagine this happens on a regular basis.
Edit: here you go

U.S. here, not sure how much help I can be, but I would check with either your local food bank or local soup kitchens if you have one. I work for a food reclamation organization and know that there are a lot of laws restricting the use of this food, I have no idea if it is the same there.
Quick google search comes up with this. Best of luck to you, and thanks for trying to make the world a better place for us all! :)
http://www.rome2rio.com/s/Burlington-VT-USA/Orlando
You didn't give precise locations, and Florida is Really big, so I picked Burlington to Orlando. Says you can fly for 95$? Also check https://www.google.com/flights/
This is something I found searching Google.. Work has imgur blocked, so I can't link it there.
The first hit is a webpage that lists: Brian David HARRIS was born 7 Nov 1976. He died 17 Sep 1995. ... He died in Storm Lake, Iowa. John married Clementta Alice FRANTZ. ...
The problem is that I'm getting 500 codes trying to access. I doubt Brian died in Iowa, as the page may have had dozens of names listed.
Still looking, though. The problem is that news wasn't very prevalent on the Internet in 1995, so searching is tough.
Check out this site https://nextdoor.com/find-neighborhood/
It gives a place for neighbors to get to know each other, list items and services for sale, some free even. I found my lawn guy this way and he does great work for 20 dollars.
I found this? It's quite near your budget. Unfortunately the delivery time is slow.
Sorry I can't help more. I just thought I'd link this incase it helps :)
Wonderful offer! Thank you! I did message OP about a coat for friend's son. Here is an Amazon Wish List https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/ref=cm_reg_rd-upd?ie=UTF8&id=15OQYMGD6QWTN&type=wishlist
What a bummer. Institutional arrogance is a subtle and destructive thing. Here's something I found which may be of help:
http://www.ehow.com/how_2301895_write-effective-complaint-letter-doctor.html
I'm going to assume you refer to the University of Melbourne. I'm a student at Deakin University, so I can't talk specifically to their policies, but there should be something in there that will essentially not penalise you academically for deferring your course for a semester.

I'm also going to assume you're not worried about stupid layovers at this point. China Airlines could have you on a plane tonight for the money you currently have if you call them. https://www.google.com/flights/#flt=/m/0chgzm.LAX.2018-09-13.MELSYD0VA899~SYDTPE1CI56~TPELAX1CI8;c:AUD;e:1;sd:1;t:f;tt:o;sp:.AUD.94833
I guess the game comes with some kind of CD-Key. If that's the case, go here and download the Origin client (you'll need it anyway as it's an EA game). Once installed click on Origin -> Redeem product code (or similar, my Origin client isn't in english) at the top bar. I never tried that method myself, so I can't guarantee if it'll work.
I've used this service before just for fun. It gives you some interest reads, including your general ancestry/ethnicity.
You may be able to find coupons online, although it's already way cheaper than it was when I used it.
Where are you coming FROM? That's important. Just go to Google Maps and put in your location for directions, click the public transit tab.
Don't take the train out there, it's not safe, take the bus.
Check this site for cheap rooms! https://www.airbnb.com/
Whereabouts are you located?
You might want to look at Freecycle - https://www.freecycle.org/
Goodwill or YMCA are usually good places to check, and local garage sales and flea markets can be a gold mine for stuff like that, too!
I’m praying for you. What a terrible shocking loss. Nibiru looks like the best boy and I’m sorry you have to go through this.
In June when I had to have my cat put to sleep, my boyfriend bought me this photo frame to keep a pic and some of his ashes in. This way even if I leave my parents house I can take a piece of him with me. I hope you are able to keep his ashes. Don’t forget how much love you gave him, he was lucky to have an owner like you.
Also I hope you aren’t feeling guilty that he got into the brownies...when my shar pei had to be put down I found out that grapes are toxic to dogs. He loved grapes. I don’t doubt that I was responsible for his kidney failure. It took a lot of therapy to get past it, so I hope you find someone to talk to and vent and bounce ideas off of in regards to this.
Sleep sweetly, Nibiru, the best of boys.

I don't know if you thought of this, but have you thought about buying the parts separately? I really wanted to build out my classic collection, so I began to buy the boxes, manuals, etc. one by one (can't anymore due to no job or money). I was pretty successful. A boxed copy of Donkey Kong Country with all original everything and game/cover cost on average 30 dollars. But I got the game for 5.99, the cover 5 something, and the manuals and plastic thing for another 5 something. Ocarina of time ended up costing me 20 for all the stuff I think...
Edit: I just found the earthbound box, manual, and game holding insert 30 bucks.
Also the game only, plus the cover for 194 bucks.
Better than 400, or the even higher prices for the complete set that is for sure.
Congrats on your acceptance! I honestly don't have any personal experience in this area but I would highly recommend contacting the financial aid office of your school. Here is an article I found with other suggestions of where to start. Private High School Scholarships Also for private high school scholarships, it seems to matter where you live. Do you live in the US or another country? Best of luck!
EDIT: Fixing formatting
Also check out this all of the major airlines offer the bereavement discount to help lower the cost. Hope you are able to find something affordable with the discounts offered. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Medicare is for the elderly, Medicaid is for the indigent. It's a form of insurance, not disability. If a legitimate Dr thinks this is the right course of action, Medicaid will likely cover it. Start here: https://www.healthcare.gov/ and speak to a navigator about applying for Medicaid in TX. Also, do your parents have insurance? If so, you're covered under their plan as you're under 26.
Oo hold up. Found this -> https://www.google.com/flights/#flt=/m/0chgzm.LAX.2018-09-13.MELNAN0FJ930~NANLAX1FJ810*LAX./m/0chgzm.2018-09-17.LAXNAN0FJ811~NANMEL2FJ931;c:AUD;e:1;sd:1;t:f;sp:.AUD.90775*.AUD.90775

edit. You could probably push the return trip out a week or two without compromising the price.
I would suggest trying both https://www.airbnb.com/ and http://www.subleasehub.com/.
SubleaseHub and Airbnb have rentals available immediately, whether you need just a room for a night, or something for a few weeks until you can find something more permanent. There are a variety of prices/locations, so hopefully you can find something that fits your needs. Best of luck!
http://www.rome2rio.com/s/Greensburg-PA-USA/Grand-Rapids gives gas guess as 45-65 either way. As the trip is only about 8 hours, you can just pack a ppj type lunch, or a cooler of lunchmeats and fruits to eat over a few days. No point in eating $100 in junk.
446 miles at 20mpg at $2.50 = $55.75 x 2 + $111.50 + $40 food = 151.50 is a more realistic goal to help ease a bit of your stress.
You can try /r/borrow if you can repay before... 6 months I think??
That ramen on your list is outrageously priced. Here are better prices for ramen:
Maruchan Flavor Ramen Noodles, Soy Sauce, 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
Maruchan Ramen Chicken, 3.0 Oz, Pack of 24
If you add either of these, you’re more likely to get help.
Some other suggestions for rice
https://www.amazon.com/Goya-Canilla-Extra-Fancy-Grain/ white rice
https://www.amazon.com/NISHIKI-Premium-Brown-Rice-5-Pound/dp/B006SFAS6C/ brown rice
Those are each around $5 and change for 5 pounds, if you don't need Jasmine :)
Here's Amazon for $140 with free shipping.
This one is new; the one /u/rhubes linked is used, but either should do you well.
If you Can save up a couple hundred dollars, you can buy a hand held unit. They run between $200-$400.
I was able to get this unit for $217 from Amazon when it was on sale. Keep your eyes Open:
https://www.amazon.com/Tria-Beauty-Hair-Removal-Laser/dp/B00DWZ1H2K?th=1
Zinus 6 Inch Hybrid Foam and Spring Mattress, Twin https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016X5JHEU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_IRNvAbQ41C4MT
Amazon has really inexpensive mattresses, twin here for $66 and prime shipping if you've got prime.
Hey, sorry, also important.
I need to know what trim, engine size and whether it's a 2 or 4 door car. Because the part you need is on Amazon for under $20.
Your wishlist doesn’t have an address attached.
Also, would this work for hand soap? You can use it to refill the soap dispensers you already have: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07RFNNXBR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_46uyFbYHHT7Y7.
Here are the classic Dansko slip-ons in black, men's 10.5/11
If those are too pricey right now and you need an immediate replacement, search "food service shoes" like these by Emeril. They are designed to be comfortable and slip proof.
Check out the book Adulting on Amazon! My dad got it for me when I graduated high school. Incredibly cute book, and it is an easy read and makes the task of “becoming a grown up” a bit more palatable and lighthearted. If you want to add it to an Amazon wish list, I can send it to you!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/153872913X/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_t1_TAVhFbQVSWSN5
>I'd be able to cook if needed.
Just to check, do you have a stove or no? I have this butane stove with some spare canisters - never been used. If that might help you out then message me an address where you can receive USPS mail and I'll send it to you.
The Gutenberg Project offers thousands of free ebooks including many by the Brontë sisters and Stevenson. It’s a really useful resource.
If you have any trouble navigating the website, let me know which titles you need and I’ll post the download links if they’re available.
Since you have no income, you can sign up for Medicaid and most everything is free. No sign-up fee and it's super easy and quick to sign-up. You can have coverage instantly.
People will be more apt to help if you remove:

I do not know what types of books you are into but many books for e-readers are listed as free on amazon and you can often find PDF versions of books online, also for free.

Here is one of the many sites that have a plethora of books to download for free.
Best of luck and happy healing
Hey, so if you can pitch in for gas, that means you have Some.
http://www.rome2rio.com/s/Charleston-SC-USA/Boston
Will run you 95-150$
Your account absolutely meets the requirements for /r/borrow if you can pay it back.
Here is the subreddit for Kansas City.. Ask them for advice on how to find new friends in your area. :)
Another way to get friends is to pick a nonpolitical hobby, such as geocaching (If you can get outdoors) and spend time talking with your new friends about the fun of the hobby. That's one example of some hobby... there has to be others who would love to talk about a common subject of your choice.
Last but not least, when you do get some new friends in person, ALWAYS practice a certain awesome brain hack. Google for "empathic listening" and "active listening" and practice the techniques. Vow to insert those techniques into your conversation at least 50 percent of the time and smile to offer emotional safety in the process.
It's REALLY awkward at first, but then a certain magic happens. A person who hears their own words non-judgmentally re-worded back to them (and here's the brain hack) will often decide that YOU are impressively smart, even though all you did was effective active listening techniques.
That will make it more likely for others to want to hang around with you more. Learn it, use it, watch what happens. :)
DFW to TPA on the 30th is sixty one dollars. OFC that's not inc tax or such.
Muck about a little with the date and such.
I also see that there are a few cheaper places for you to stay that are near Bloomington, IL.
Here are links, if they work.
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1868729?checkin=08%2F19%2F2014&checkout=08%2F20%2F2014&guests=3
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/3867480?checkin=08%2F19%2F2014&checkout=08%2F20%2F2014&guests=3
Both are $34 a night for three guests and have kitchens, which would probably help you save on food costs!
Ok, so here is a google map of all the St Vincent DePaul locations in St Petersburg. These guys will help you with the utilities, so long as they are in your name. I think this will most likely be your best bet, and they will be able to provide a huge chunk of relief. I think the only thing they don't help out with is your phone bill, and of course cable/internet, etc. https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=st.+petersburg+st.+vincent+de+paul&fb=1&gl=us&hq=st.+vincent+de+paul&hnear=0x88c2e663693aaa41:0x4cc4003bcd48bff,St+Petersburg,+FL&ei=V5zcT7jEO-Oy2wXmyODHDQ&ved=0CAwQyBM
Also, here is a GIANT list of places that can help you with emergency funds in St Petersburg. You should check these places out too if you get a chance. They may be able to help you with next months rent in case you need it. http://www.pinellascounty.org/community/EmergencyFinAssistContact.htm
If I can help with anything else, let me know ok? Best of luck to you hun.
PS - I lived my early years near Knoxville in a city called Maryville. I miss it so much sometimes....TN is just beautiful! :D
Have a good look at the lens. there might be some dust between the lens and the top see-through cover. Neat phone, btw :)
If you have no luck, and you're out of warranty, iFixit have a dissembly guide: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installing-Samsung-Alias-2-Camera/5411/1
You've got a secondary computer. Good.
Using the other computer, download two things: Malwarebytes
And super-anti-spyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/
Copy them to a flash drive (remove anything from the flash drive that you want to keep. We're going to format it when you're done).
Reboot your infected computer into safe mode. To do this, power it off, then while it's coming back on, press and hold f8 (I actually just hammer it a bunch of times while the system is powering on).
You'll get prompted to boot into safe mode. Do that. Safe mode with networking.
Now, first install malwarebytes (and update it), then run it. It's going to take a long time.
Then do the same with super anti spyware.
Now boot back into windows and do that same thing again, from the optimized account (run them, not install them)
Once this is all done, format the USB stick. Right cilck on it on windows, and click format.
This PB is a good price too:
Check this wiki to see if any of the items you're looking for are there at lower prices:
Since I could not take advantage of the last offer I tried (offer was for Canada and I'm in the US), I'd like to enter please.
What do I need? I could REALLY use this walker. (I can move it to a public wishlist, for ease. Right now, it's on my 'Someday' wishlist) My current walker is 8 years old and (no pun intended) on its last legs. Sometimes, it won't fold, and then other times, the folding pins get stuck and it won't stay in the open position, and it tries to fold when I'm using it.
I tried salvaging my current walker with new wheels, but that only made things worse. I need a Junior walker because I'm short. Even standard walkers are too tall for me.
If I'm accepted, great, wonderful and I thank you.
If not, No worries.
Athletic shoes may be allowed by your program (doublecheck if you haven’t already), but they won’t provide any defense against body fluids. I’m in healthcare and wear mostly athletic shoes myself, but I just accept that if they get enough body fluid that they become trash. I wouldn’t expect your shoes to get soaked as a phlebotomist. If they are requiring non slip and liquid resistant shoes, you’d need a clog style shoe. Crocs are one of the most affordable. Something like these:
Crocs Unisex-Adult Men's and Women's on The Clock Clog | Slip Resistant Work Shoes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071P3PR35/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_62FRQMCSXRQ3YNND02E3
Good luck in school!
Sorry you are having such a rough time. Do you have an address where you can receive items? I will send you flea and tick meds if you do.
Not sure how big your dog is, but this is for 45-88lbs and there’s other options for sizes too:

Hey man, I also have PTSD I know how shit it can be to deal with.
We're going to help you out. Have you also looked at setting up an Amazon wish list?
These blankets are great for keeping in the heat.
I'll go through your walmart one - you should also look at setting up an Amazon one. Propane is sold out on Walmart.
I suffered a lot of abuse as a child and I, too, have CPTSD from multiple traumatic events.
Consider seeking a therapist who practices DBT as well as EMDR; EMDR and exposure therapy were monumental in removing "crisis" from my daily existence.
There is an EXCELLENT workbook for about $15 on Amazon that I've worked through front to back, and while it's better with therapy, can be read and worked without therapy. Consider adding it to your list.
My heart goes out to your and your buddy and I wish you a warm winter and an income soon.
Parakeet mama here! It sounds like your little girl will be just fine. Would one of these be useful for future emergencies? https://www.amazon.com/Pet-Products-Thermo-Perch-Heated-PerchSmall/dp/B000795ZE0
If yes, happy to buy one off an amazon gift list for you
Try a x64 browser, like WaterFox or PaleMoon. You mostly just have to wait though. The largest HTML I've ever opened was probably 650MB in size (I'd have to look it back up to get a specific size, but 100MB+ HTML files are common), and it took roughly 45 minutes to fully load in Chrome. I didn't quite need to search it for conversations, just a specific date (of which I knew there would only be one instance).
You could also try a filesplitter, such as GSplit, but this could ruin the HTML formatting making each 'chunk' unreadable. You could work around this by recoding the chunks in N++ to make each chunk it's own 'page' so to speak.
I managed to find this, but I've never heard of it until just now. Looks like it was last updated in 2013, but that may help point you in the right direction at the very least.
People on air bnb don't tend to like to rent to locals though.
I realized these are not black, but are they the same style?
Also, where were they purchased, and how long ago?
Country?
I feel your pain. I had to try the same thing with a pair of shoes my wife liked. Found them and saved the birthday. WOO!
She cannot just throw you out without serving notice and providing legal reasons.
Get on Indeed and Craigslist immediately. There are a ton of jobs in the NYC area. My advice would be to send your resume to as many places as possible. Best of luck!
I don't have the money for 15 mice (much less the money to ship them internationally D: ), but this might work as a short term solution: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-Use-Mousekeys---Move-Your-Mouse-Cursor-with/
It won't be perfect, but at least you can get started with your studies while you wait.
First of all, ignore the haters on this thread. Your first friend is Craigslist. Find odd jobs for cash. Maybe you can find some housesitting gigs, money and a place to stay at the same time! I have no real advice for where to stay between now and having a paycheck.
One important thing when going job hunting, stay clean. I would consider gym hopping on their free 7-14 day trials, just for their showers. That could get you by for a little while.
While that happens, look for a full time job. What are your skills? If you have none, and spare time, check out http://www.codecademy.com/ (it's free). Coding isn't easy, but if you know it, there are tons of jobs in the Bay Area for people who can code.
Once you have a paycheck, go back to Craigslist and start looking for roomates. Ideally, walking distance to your job.
Good luck!
https://www.mturk.com/mturk/ would be a great start. It's pretty easy and you can earn as much or as little as you want depending on the time and effort you're willing to put into it. Then sub to /r/Mturk for questions and what not and then /r/HitsWorthTurkingFor to help you find the highest paying HITs
People do freecycle old laptops -- it's worth putting the word out.
You can get a quite decent one used for less than $500, and you can get a new netbook for around $100 now.
I would also ask the school's financial aid office if they have any programs available for setting students up with appropriate tech.
Finally, have you just asked around? I mentioned on FB that I was looking to buy a simple used computer for my daughter. A month later a friend came for a visit and brought the like-new Chromebook his own kid was no longer using; didn't want a cent for it.
A fellow alumnus of my high school has started an indiegogo fund to send 1000 teddy bears to affected children and families by Christmas. Please consider helping out! http://www.indiegogo.com/HugsforSandyHook?c=home
www.legalzoom.com may be useful for helping to keep the costs down. Many grants, especially government grants (if it has an application to them), do not need a prototype made as they are two stage grants. The first stage is for research and development and the second stage is the actual design and building of the product (this is just a generalization of some grants).
If you wanted a private company to fund it that is possible but you have to be willing to trust them on some level. They will also want to make money off the idea somehow so keep that in mind.
Also, may I ask, if the idea is so simple are you sure it hasn't been done/has value to the world? Make sure the idea is really sound!
I think these are both like kickstarter (don't hurt me if they are not, I haven't really checked them out in depth).
TranscribeMe, r/paidstudy (Respondent: https://tinyurl.com/ydx7kzn2 is a referral link), r/digitalnomad probably has stuff
Edit: I don't think these work internationally, but Care, TaskRabbit, Roadie.
Upwork is a great one (anywhere in the world) now that I think about it
A job is necessary in the long term. They can't rely on a gofundme forever...or at all, really, when the information is so inconsistent. The sooner they get jobs, the sooner paychecks flow in.
There's really no reason to have an attitude with people who you're asking for help from.
Since you have a semblance of animal care experience that you appear to feel somewhat confident about, here are some "animal care" job postings in Portland, OR that might be worth it to check out and send a resume to: http://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=animal+care&l=Portland,+OR&rbl=Portland,+OR&jlid=55fe4d923dbe0a35
Looks like there are also several PetCos in your area that are hiring. For some reason I can't post the link. But go to Petco > scroll to the bottom and hit Careers > enter location.
Right now is the exact right time to get a temporary job of any kind because of the holidays. It isn't goign to be your dream job, but it'll be enough to keep you housed and fed for at least the short term. You just need to go out and look.
No seats on that trip, or are they trying to say the plane isn't operating anymore? You could go on Monday and stay for a week or so. https://www.google.com/flights/#flt=/m/0chgzm.LAX.2018-09-17.MELNAN0FJ930~NANLAX1FJ810*LAX./m/0chgzm.2018-10-02.LAXNAN0FJ811~NANMEL2FJ931;c:AUD;e:1;sd:1;t:f;sp:.AUD.91775*.AUD.91775
Just play around with the departure/return dates on this site for the one where it says it's under a grand return and go for it. Or just call the airline back up and explain the trip you want to make and ask them when is the soonest possible return flight for under a grand where you can stay there for a week or two.
You might want to check airbnb to see if they still allow people to rent out a couch or shared room https://www.airbnb.com
Also, r/crisisresources has tons of helpful information, so you might want to spend some time looking at everything it has.
You guys don't have a car? If you've only got one vehicle, perhaps you can just catch a cab back and forth to work for this weekend.
It is 564 miles from Tampa to Gulfport. If you only get 17 miles to the gallon (and I've got one of the big diesel, 4x4 dually that gets better than that), it is only 33.17 gallons. At $3.10/gallon, that is only 102.84 for fuel. I don't think you can get two plane tickets for less than 103 dollars on no notice.
Out of curiosity...what exactly did you Google? What keywords?
I just spent a good 15 minutes searching various related words to financial assistance and the only time I could find this sub is if I actually included "reddit" somewhere in the search box. I also found this link here: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/3-ways-reddit/
I just keep seeing people say, "oh, I just Googled [semi-related phrase] and you guys showed up!", and I cannot for the life of me replicate your or anyone else's search results! It's driving me insane!
Do you have any kind of emergency alert system set up? They can install buttons in the house, as well as worn around the neck or on the wrist. The person in trouble presses it and 911 is notified and sends help. Consumer Reports did a great article comparing the most popular systems.
Being able to get your attention would be one thing, but what if you're not home and this happens?
Some phones like iPhone also offer apps that would also work.
Silent Beacon is a great one. It lets you customize the emrgency actions, so not only could she alert 911, but you could use email or text to push a notification through to your TV or Xbox that would pop up on the TV screen. I used this app once to prank a friend into thinking his PS4 was sentient and talking to him.
First, I am sorry for your loss. I have never had to make arrangements but I did find this which may be helpful to you.

These appear to be hen and chicks. They are very hardy little plants (and tend to spread fairly quickly in flower beds!)
Here are a couple of helpful links:
Definitely recommend donorschoose.org to her! Also to link up with her local NextDoor.com site to get the local neighborhoods to donate. Both have really high success rates for teachers. Good luck!
>He knows child support will be happening.
Child support should already be happening. Can't he pitch in a little until there's an actual order in place? If you're able to communicate, there's no harm in bringing it up. Get an order in place ASAP.
Look into local food pantries and programs that could help you. Here's a list I found.. You could pad your pantry with some extra stuff and stretch the food stamps further, and a lot of them offer household stuff in some cases. As a single mum with two kids, you've got a ton more stuff available to you than a single adult would.
For internet, talk to your neighbors. I was really broke a few years back, and one of my neighbors at the time let me share in their wireless. I gave them $10 a month and a batch of cookies and they were happy. If you're just browsing the web and checking email, it could work.
Have you thought about doing any additional work from home? There's always Amazon Mechanical Turk and lots of ideas in /r/beermoney. You won't get rich, but it would put a little extra in your pocket to help with bills.
AT&T Go Phone has a $25/month option that gives you 250 minutes and unlimited texting.
You do quick little tasks and surveys (called HITs) through a platform on Amazon.com and you are paid a small fee for completing the tasks.
This is the MTurk site: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/welcome
This is a subreddit devoted to making money doing HITs: http://www.reddit.com/r/HITsWorthTurkingFor/
Hey, I was looking for a cloth diaper bank near you and found this instead (from here: http://nationaldiaperbanknetwork.org/ndbn-php/diaperbank_find.php)
Atlanta Community Food Bank Address: 732 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd., Atlanta, Georgia 30318 Email: Website: www.acfb.org Products Distributed: Diapers, Disposable Diapers, Infant/Toddler Diapers, Diapers for Older Children
In case that doesn't work, the cloth diaper program that I know best is this one: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CBLoveUSA and they have a location in Covington. If you decide to try cloth come on over to /r/clothdiaps - we're awesome and friendly and helpful.
Rats are underrated and misunderstood, so good for you :-)
Freecycle.org [you have to register] may be a source of used supplies. You never know what's going to show up.
Set up a text alert for when people are giving away supplies with If This, Then That. You can set alerts for pretty much any site. I have one for Craig's List, for example. Time saver!
Depending on where you are, you can partner up with another like-minded rescuer, too.
Here are some coupons. For online booking, you can save up to $10 off:
http://www.retailmenot.com/view/supershuttle.com
That one is code QFY7s. If it doesn't work in your area, there are others at that link.
Hope that helps!
