What you're describing is Qualaroo.
Combine that with UserTesting and you're golden.
Go further and add Event tracking to every funnel and action on your site, look for bottlenecks.
We’ve benefitted from tools like ProProfs Help Desk and Qualaroo a lot. I mean the help desk tool helped our small team take up customer emails and offer faster responses. Whereas Qualaroo, helped us take feedback for our startup's website.
In all, they both are helping us improve as a business.
Sure, there are feedback software that let you give full freedom to your clients to share specific feedback about specific parts of your app (or website - as other redditors have commented). We use qualaroo (for their targeted nudges, which are like little popups) to collect client feedback. You can set responses to be open text (answers in a text box) so that your clients can write exactly what’s on their minds. It sure beats making them choose what they want to talk about from drop-down lists or radio buttons.
Lots of great options out there. Olark is free (at least it us for us at our size). I have a friend at another startup that gets a lot of sales from their chat feature. We get a fair amount as well, and learned a lot about our buyers' concerns thanks to it.
Also, Qualaroo is great for helping customers down a funnel, getting feedback on what's stopping them, and live chat if necessary. Not one that I've personally used but I see it on sites from time to time and appreciated it.
