Technically not, the website uses the vanilla game with a top hat added in on a layer above it.
EDIT: Proof here. The website simply takes the game from http://realmofthemadgod.com and then creates a top hat in a layer above the game. It's violating the ToS as much as taping a tiny tuxedo to your screen is.
Realm of the Mad God. It's a free to play bullet hell MMORPG with permanent character death. Very much a pick-up and play, but I've dumped countless hours into it. I ended up writing a custom client years ago and now I'm making a game inspired by it.
On native Flash Projector, I get a variety of game-breaking visual bugs that I haven't seen addressed anywhere.
What do you need the script for? I just put http://realmofthemadgod.com/client
directly into Flash Projector.
This. Also unlike flash plugin you don’t need to use the latest version, and version 18 of Flash Projector is generally much better than later versions.
Ah, Steam. You will need to get your account switched to one using the website, http://realmofthemadgod.com/, before you can use Flash Projector.
Not really an "indie game" but Realm of the Mad God is free and can be played on Steam or in Browser.
It's a permadeath, twin stick shooter, RPG that is easy to play, but takes a while to really get good at. If you want to see some gameplay, here is my latest video. Basically you play as a class and the goal is to level your character up to lvl 20 by killing monsters. As you kill monsters you get better gear and better stats and can kill bigger monsters. Once you get strong enough you can kill gods, hit dungeons, etc. If you die you restart, but getting to lvl 20 only takes 30 min to an hour once you figure it out so it isn't much of a deal.
Go to https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html, click the link (scroll down, go to Macintosh, click Download the Flash Player projector), download. Then, I think there should be an installer thing, drag it to your applications, click it, then go (like BNaoC said) to Open, and paste the AGC (realmeye.com/AGC or, currently, http://realmofthemadgod.com/AGCLoader1418955012.swf)
Hope that helped.
I don't know what kind of game you're running but look into the server system of the game "Realm of the mad god". Right next to the "Play" button. Then, you just need one database server (or distributed database servers) that each of the game servers connect to.
