Hopefully this will breathe new life into the game and bring back old players as well as new, it really deserves a second chance even though it had some flaws.
Pretty interesting how they will handle the new currency when it becomes free to play:
>There will also be a new currency called Omnibits that can both be bought and found on all mobs in the world. So even completely free players will be able to save up their Omnibits to buy items from the store. The goal, Chad and Mike reminded me, is to make it so that there’s no forced reason to spend money… just incentive and fun reasons to do so. Progression and endgame success will still take skill and teamwork, not a fat wallet.
Toontown was dropped by Disney and picked back up by some lovely developers who volunteered to maintain the game. It is now called Toontown Rewritten and is 100% f2p.
Welcome!
Abruptly, all our servers in America vanished. We're getting the ISP to sort it out immediately.
This shouldn't have killed hardcore characters because the servers that had the database on them (that saves would have to go to) went down first. It will mean several minutes of unsaved progress, unfortunately.
I'm very sorry (and surprised) about this. Should hopefully have it all back up soon.
Edit: It's back up now. It was a power outage. We're investigating what can be done to prevent it from occurring in the future.
Edit: Jonathan has posted an incident report about the outage.
People in NZ seem pretty good at recognising PoE shirts. More worryingly, incidents like the following have started to occur:
I was in the supermarket wearing Horror Reef (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/781176) and some guy recognised me.
I was ordering food at a burger place on Thursday (not wearing any PoE gear) and the guy serving me asked me for a beta key. "Hey, you're the guy from Build of the Week!" after hearing my voice.
This is more concerning than I can communicate.
There are multiple fanmade versions of the game that are out. I reccomend Toontown Rewritten for an experience similar to the original, and if you wanna spice things up Corporate Clash is also a great option.
Hey guys, while it's great fun reading the speculation here I'm afraid it's nothing so interesting as a new title - and you've already heard of it.
We are just announcing the launch of the EVE Academy project in our short slot during E3 here - it's a chance to let people know about the new efforts to help new players and promote EVE Online a bit.
Theres two, and this one doesnt have any play time bull crap http://www.piratesonline.us/index.php
For my fellow Toons, there is also https://www.toontownrewritten.com/
These two are my favorite games as a kid, so Im really happy they are revived.
Eve online had a file called boot.ini located in its local directory, a patch was created to overwrite that file.
The command was listed as del "boot.ini" in the script instead of del "$GAMEPATH\boot.ini". Windows interpreted this as the script wanting the current drive's /boot.ini file deleted and did so. Killing the system of any eve players who had the game installed to their boot drive.
full write up here: https://www.eveonline.com/article/about-the-boot.ini-issue/

Now I feel like traveling to ~~Egypt~~ Meracydia, to kill some evil, time stopping vampire while traveling with an old guy with bad english, a doggo with a tude, a guy with silly hair, a magician dressed in red and ~~Haucherfant~~, ~~Kakyoin~~ someone that will surely die.
Was. This replaced it. As we ran through the entire data set. Several times.

This is really important!
You will not be able to play RuneScape in Chrome starting from Chrome version 42. Google expects to release this version to everyone next month and most people will get it as an automatic update.
This is a result of Google removing support for lots of plugins, including Java (which RuneScape uses). Websites that use Silverlight, Unity Web Player etc will also be affected.
You can find more information about this here: https://www.runescape.com/browser-support
if only the price wasn't broken promises.
ccp rise, team size matters, 2016.
As a several time DMM finalist, these look decent, I have a few worries though.
> supported in real time by our anti-cheating specialists
Can this be extended to the week leading up to the final? If I got a months membership for everytime I saw someone boxing, auto-clicking, scamming, door-blocking and botting my account would have more time than Woox's!
> We will announce the amount of supplies prior to the launch of the Winter Finals.
Can we get a date for this? I worry it's something that will be announced hours before the start. Also, the home-page of Old School links to an outdated set of rules for dmm. Would be much better to have one source of truth, not several sources new players need to look at.
> perceived to be our most successful Season yet in terms of player participation
Can we get Mod Lottie to show us the numbers that back this statement? Total number of kills, sizes of bank keys, total hours played in a season, creativity is the limit.
To add to that, can some figures about the tournament be released too? E.g. how many deaths, biggest pre-final hour keys, etc. Can you guys looking at sever logs recreate what happened you could make a daily highlight reel of big fights in the week build up.
Not entirely gone.
For example, when Arthas was the Lich King, all that remained of his past self was his humanity, and even that was lost when his frozen heart was destroyed. Remember, Arthas' soul was Frostmourne's first victim. When we kill him in Icecrown, he says to the ghost of his father "I see only darkness before me". Sylvanas goes to this same darkness, what we can only assume to be the Void, when she commits suicide after ICC. So we can only assume that whatever entity it was that called itself Arthas the Lich King had no place in any afterlife.
We find out later that Arthas' spirit is actually still lingering around inside of Frostmourne as part of the Frost DK Artifact Quest.
But in Bolvar's case, he lost his humanity to the dragonfire ("The dragons' flame... sealed my fate... The world of the living can no longer comfort me.") and is for all intents and purposes undead, kept 'alive' by the red dragonfire. But his soul is still wholly intact, and is likely what is keeping the new Lich King 'good'.
I'm 16 and my brother is 11. We've both always liked Star Wars. We saw all the movies a while ago and we played some of the games including the LEGO games, the Force Unleashed games, and Battlefront 2. He's also seen most of the Clone Wars TV show while I've only seen a couple of episodes. I also remember us playing some Star Wars MMO (not SWTOR) when the Clone Wars TV show started called Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures.
Recently though, Disney's marketing has gotten us really hyped about Star Wars and now neither of us can get enough. Over our winter break we watched a Star Wars movie a day (skipping the animated Clone Wars) after we went to see Episode VII. After that we've both been reading a bunch of random Star Wars lore online and I've started to watch Rebels (which I actually like). I've installed KOTOR and got a bunch of mods from a stickied post on /r/kotor (I messed up and accidentally overwrote some files - hopefully that doesn't fuck it up too much. I'm shit at modding and I normally stay away from this stuff but seeing as KOTOR is kinda old I thought I'd do it). We both also installed SW:TOR (took all of yesterday) and we played it all day today.
While I've always liked Star Wars, I've never really loved the universe as much as I do now. I'm hyped about the upcoming movies and I hope new awesome trilogies (that don't seem like they're just cash-cows) keep getting pumped out until I die. I don't want it to continue after that though. I want to see it all.
Because of my recent cravings for Star Wars I also want to get more into the Legends stuff but there's so much of it that it seems kind of intimidating.
I don't know why I typed all that actually. It seems kind of irrelevant now that I read your comment again. I guess I just felt like saying that? Oh well. Maybe I should post this to /r/offmychest.
Hi! I'm Toontown Rewritten's lead programmer. I'm glad you like our game!
We're just getting back from an in-person event where we announced that we're (finally!) releasing an update this month that completes the last pair of original features (Toon Parties and Grand Prix) and adds two new Toon species chosen by our players (Deer and Crocodile.)
I'd encourage anyone who is interested to try our game. Toontown Rewritten is completely free and the community is friendly! Additionally, if anybody here is talented and wants to help us, consider sending in an application. We usually look for active players for most positions. Finally, if anybody has any questions, I'm always around to answer them!
Nathanos Blightcaller (formerly Marris). Here's the short story that references their relationship.
TL;DR Nathanos is a lucky guy, minus the whole dead thing.
I put all the relevant math in the forum post. Read that first.
If you have any questions I'll be not passed out for the next hours, which is a very definite time frame.
Edit: And I'm back
The gambler's fallacy has been in use for longer than 24 hours but is a big deal.
When you run out of keys it trys to get you to buy more because look at all the great things just one more could win you.
The game also heavy advertised a premier club so many players already bought a year of membership with it so they can no longer vote with their wallets by not buying membership.
Runescape 3 is a large portion of the players. The game which is getting these update has about 60k players online right now while the oldschool version without any of this yet has about 20k players online.
So roughly 75% of the players are dealing with this right now. The Runescape 3 players already pay for the oldschool game in their members but switching over isn't something many want to do.
The oldschool game doesn't use EOC combat and all accounts must start over on this servers.
This means they also can't boycott by playing the oldschool game because they might not enjoy it.
I have only seen one man with this transmog set. And holy shit, it's awesome. I forgot his name. But he is on Sargeras. He has the Scarab Lord title, but wait he has more. He is the only person i've ever seen that has the WoW tabard. The real deal. It's the legit thing. I have played this game since early BC and I have never seen it ingame untill I saw this guy. He is a walking legend! Found his armory! https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/sargeras/dinglesberry
This has been a common and recurring problem with the game's launcher over the years. Major patches seem to have a way of bringing it back.
Fortunately, this means there have been lots of threads on the official forum and elsewhere, where players have been able to share what worked for them.
Having some idea of what to look for, I found a forum thread from March of this year where someone posted a fix that seemed to work for a lot of other players. I've seen the same advice come up in years past, so it can probably be considered tried and true.
Quote from the helpful poster:
"I deleted the Eualas folder, and the version files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\ directory
file names like "patcher2021.version" and "patcher2020.version"

Good luck!
In a recent interview it was implied Pillars is out for now.
> MMORPG: What is next for Pillars of Eternity -- can gamers consider the game done or are there more expansions or even a sequel planned?
> Josh: Pillars of Eternity is all wrapped up. It's been a great experience, but we'd like to move on to a new project. We'd love to make a sequel and have a ton of ideas for ways we can improve on Pillars, but that's a way off.
Context: Mythic Kil'jaedan has singularities and extreme knockbacks which can push you right off the platform. While present in Normal and Heroic, there are far more singularities and some really nasty timings to the point where top guilds feel you need some form of movement ability to deal with it and Priests don't really have that.
Keep in mind that on August 11th hotfixes Mythic Kil'jaedan received a nerf to singularites during the Deceiver's Veil phase (when everything goes dark) where they now spawn in fixed locations rather than at random. You can discuss the hotfixes here.
I can't say I ever met your husband, but you have my condolences.
Assuming his character name was the same as his reddit account, he has been immortalized on the monument outside of CCP's headquarters in Iceland on line 83 of the engraved plate in Row 3, Column 8.
This monument exists to commemorate those pilots we've lost. Thousands of years from now, after it's been buried beneath a mile of Icelandic volcanic ash, future humans will unearth this monument and know Ashurman is worth remembering.
text version has a bit more details: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/battle-for-azeroth
> PLUNDER UNCHARTED ISLANDS
>Set sail for the previously unmapped isles of Azeroth. Battle in groups of three as you race against cunning rival intruders—or enemy players—to collect the island’s resources. Constantly evolving challenges await as you traverse frozen landscapes near Northrend, open the gates of an abandoned Gilnean castle, navigate a war between elementals and more.
> STORM THE WARFRONTS
> Head to the frontlines and take part in a large-scale 20-player cooperative Warfront to claim a key strategic location. Build up your faction’s forces, lead the charge as your troops lay siege to the objective, and battle the enemy commanders as they make their last stand in this new PvE mode inspired by classic Warcraft RTS battles.
>INFUSE ARMOR WITH TITANIC MIGHT
Take control of the Heart of Azeroth—a legendary neck piece entrusted to you by Magni Bronzebeard. Imbue it with Azerite, an invaluable resource that’s emerged in the Legion’s wake, to customize your armor with new powers and traits.
We are also taking steps to improve the experience of using the downloadable client.
We released a new version of the client today. This update adds the ability for the client to be launched from the website. We have not updated the website to make this possible yet, but within a couple of weeks you will be able to click the yellow "Play Now" link in the top right corner of the website and the client will open automatically.
Today's client update also includes a new icon, to match the latest RuneScape logo. If you are playing on a fancy Mac with a retina display you should also now see a much higher resolution icon :)
You can download the new client from the page I linked above, or from here: https://www.runescape.com/ways-to-play
I'd also like to point out the obvious that Account Sharing is, in fact, against the Official Rules and Terms & Conditions.
> Oh yeah, map drops FUCKING SUCK like, terribly, horribly BAD
Yep. They're going to lose so many players if they don't reverse this stupid decision. No one likes running easy-as-fuck low-level maps with no reasonable recourse for advancement. Not even relatively casual players. It's tedious and boring.
In trying to stop the 0.5% who level to L95 and above, they're going to ruin the experience for the other 99.5%. It won't matter how good the rest of the content is if most players quit before L80 because keeping even low maps like L70 in stock requires too much of a time and monetary investment.
News happened! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1288589
Can you please host the official rules of runescape on the main page of https://oldschool.runescape.com/ and specify that the same rules apply to OSRS and not just RS3?
So much bad information is spread about the legality of 3rd-Party clients, AHK, Mousekeys, etc. It's practically impossible to find Jagex's stance on these matters on the oldschool version of the website.

From the Battle for Azeroth page
About to finish Darkness of Hallowvale (after all completing all Myreque quest line, pretty much as an ironman since quest items are not available), in order to obtain fast Clean Toadflax for saradoming brews (about 50k ea in the last day).
Need to get back to Drazel from priest in peril, decide to take the trek as a shotcut, seeing this. ???????????
Your reasoning makes little sense, honestly. Founder packs do not necessarily have anything to do with the monetization model; take Path of Exile, for example, that sells 900$ founder packs but at the same time it's one of the fairest free to play titles on the market, where all you can buy are cosmetics and extra stash slots (but you have plenty of those anyway).
Similarly, Eternal Crusade's devs stated that it was not their intention to lock more powerful items behind a paywall, but instead make so that, if you don't have time to farm, you can just pay to skip that. As long as that farm doesn't become a chore, it's a reasonable middle ground, similar to the model Planetside 2 adopted, and that game is far from pay to win.
I think this is what it looks like when a game is about to enter its golden age.
Act 4 right around the corner. We don't even know anything about it yet, and we're getting these insane "By the way" QOL improvements every few days.
That hairstyle is the runner up from the hairstyle design contest! It's finally in!
Lord Maldoror is way better than ccp at this.
They made a series called myevestory last year and they are one of the worst, unrealistic, cringy videos ccp ever put on youtube.
https://www.eveonline.com/article/myevestory-video-contest-results
Nothing. It was a patch note generated with an algorithm (semi-random combinations of verbs/nouns). He simply kept that in because it was funny.
It's like CCP (and apparently, many in this sub) can't understand human nature and can't understand the game's own past.
CCP once shuffled moons to "create more conflict". Result? OTEC.
CCP planned for citadels in high sec to provide some market competition. Result? Tranquility Trading Tower.
Null sec incursions? Run by "Bluetral fleets so everyone can get a piece. FW? over run by alts and a consortium of players who decide WHEN everyone can cash out LP. Want to change anomalies to make people fight? It just mean REALLy liong wait ques for high sec incursions back in 2012.
Time and again CCP has tried something to drive CONFLICT that just ended up in some kind of COOPERATION instead. Now the cooperation will be between people finding and running these sites in low sec, and the null sec people who then buy the keys.
This is because there is no such thing as a "conflict driver" in a video game. Players fight because they want to, it's fun, and "screw those other guys". The in game resources are just a means to an end which is why you see all these "deadly enemies" like TEST and Goons cooperating in various ways outside of the war.
CCP and many players think you can make people fight. You can't. What you could do is give us interesting tools (ships, weapons, modules that add tactical complexity like MJDs and so on) and get out of our way. WE will find ways to screw with people. But you can't entice us to do it, we do it when we want to.
CCP, stop trying to game design us into fighting. Concentrate on making a fun game with fun tools and we'll handle the rest.
Lightforged Draenei are just Draenei who have gone under some kind of "ritual to become Lightforged". There's no requirement for them to be from main universe as far as we know.
Yes this happens on the daily and you won't get the promised credits plus for the duration of your subscription he will get cartel coins as well. And bioware can't do anything about it it because it's not against TOS. Read more about it here:
There are some more tools to play with, but EVE is still very much EVE - never too late :D
If you want to freshen up on some skills you may have missed/forgotten about, we've got a great player resource called the EVE Academy: https://www.eveonline.com/now/eve-academy
It's not comprehensive of everything to do in game, but a good starting point. So much has changed since you've been gone, and lots of new mysteries which have yet to be solved.

> You must not encourage or help others to break any of the Rules of Conduct.

Seems pretty fucking clear to me.
Yes please, here is pretty much the reason i have not re-rolled and i can't let go of my rep tab. and it is getting insanely boring.
Our Customer Support Team were made aware of this last night after a player approached me about it.
We've published news here to clarify our position
The GM Team will not be moving anyone who files a support ticket relating to these engagements in UALX-3.
The "Stuck" ticket queue is not to be used for this, and it will more than likely be considered abuse of our support system.
These tickets are being moved to a holding queue and will be dealt with separately to regular support ticket load.
If anyone is interested in playing a game similar to Diablo, check out Path of Exile.
The game just came out with its second 100% free expansion this Wednesday, the rest of the game is free to play as well!
I really hate to be the bringer of bad news, but... https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1410378
I wish we had another solution, because I love this kind of data analysis. Maybe we can make stuff available in aggregate for analysis without exposing individual people's equipped items and passive builds without their knowledge? A lot of people didn't know the default for this was on.
In a new post on the World of Warcraft community site, the dev team has announced a pair of significant changes to upcoming patch 7.2 and the requirements to 'earn' flying in Legion's Broken Isles.
Originally, players would have been required to complete a lengthy multi-achievement / quest series called Breaching the Tomb that included on piece (Shard Times quest) requiring 50,000 Nethershards to finish. The drp rate of Nethershards in 7.2 where they first begin to show up was very low making gathering 50,000 prohibitive. Developers have now backtracked on that requirement, reducing it to 2500 Nethershards and when approaching Khadgar to turn it in, he sheepishly only asks for 1. Additionally, Breaching the Tomb would have required players to complete each character's Order Hall campaign and earn exalted status with the forces of Legionfall. Completing Breaching the Tomb has now been removed as a barrier to flying.
On PTR, players can now unlock flying in the Broken Isles by completing the following:
Broken Isle Pathfinder, Part 1
Explore the Broken Shore - find all points of interest on the Broken Shore
Defender of the Broken Isles - complete Demon Assault in each of the four zones where they are present
Legionfall Commander - earn Revered status with the Legionfall faction
There was some server transfer bug in WoD where the temp name on server transfer was a valid name so you kept the 4 capitals. my DK has it too.
Upcoming 1.2.4 Content Update and Race Season Nine
Last week we posted about Race Season Nine. Because the race season uses tech from the 1.2.4 patch (which we're planning to deploy on Tuesday), we've confirmed a start date of that race season to be the weekend of October 25. We'll be posting a full schedule next week in advance of the season starting. Today's news update describes some of the changes in the upcoming 1.2.4 update!
These aren't the full 1.2.4 patch notes, but a few of the changes you can look forward to are:
actual dev blog which is more of an announcement that there will be some dev blogs soon
tldr on the indy side: caps are so fucked we're just gonna skip it and give you shit

edit: Yes, it hasn't changed in almost 1 year:

EVE Online devs have said one of the criteria they use when designing new features is the Time To Penis (TTP) metric - how long it will take someone to use the new feature to create a penis in game. It is frighteningly short in many cases.
They're most likely trying to get rid of their physical copies before they change payment model, and from this it sounds like F2P rather than B2P. They want to get rid of their stock of physical copies so that retailers don't send them back to Carbine and demand money for them when they do the switch. TERA did the same exact thing before they went F2P: http://tera.enmasse.com/news/posts/buy-a-tera-box-get-an-epic-mount
This coupled with the fact that Australian retailers are pulling their copies of Wildstar makes me almost certain that this is the case, although I personally think B2P would have been better than F2P.
On your second point, Garrosh was a last resort. Originally Thrall had wanted Saurfang's boy to be the next Warchief but the Wrathgate happened. He knew the Horde liked Garrosh, after all, he was the leader of the Horde's offensive in Northrend, and the Lich King was slain and victories for the Horde were won, plus he is the long lost son of the great Orcish hero Grommash Hellscream. He also left him the wise council of Cairne, Vol'jin, and Eitrigg.
It just went really poorly.
Edit: On the first one, in the Leader Short Story Heart of War Garrosh gets told by an angry orc woman about how living in Durotar sucks and how the Night Elves attack their caravans, the humans of Northwatch Hold and the Dwarves in Bael'modan are too close for comfort, and some of Admiral Proudmoore's old goons are still hanging around in a fort and occasionally raid Razor Hill. Garrosh thinks that's bullshit and that's when he starts hating the Alliance.
Semi-related Side Note: All the short stories are back on the Main Website. I highly recommend this one.
Star Wars: The Old Republic. It's a really great game IMO. Here's the link to the game's website. 60% of the game is basically free, then you have to pay 1 month of subscription (15 dollars?) to play the rest. The best part is that you don't need a good computer to play it, you can make it looks like KOTOR graphics if you want lol
Going to go in a different direction here. If you are someone wanting to swap roles and start tanking, but there's something holding you back, please feel free to talk to me to help you get past those nerves.
Tanking can be stressful - you're the unofficial leader of the group, you're expected to know what to do and your mistakes can cause a wipe; yet I haven't looked back ever since I switched earlier this year, so I'll try to help people overcome those worries as someone who had (and still has) those worries.
I don't have mythic clears like others in this thread, but my Demon Hunter does try to push endgame content.
I would agree with you, but if you look at the Ilvl of some of his gear you can see that they're well above the ilvl that still drops today. The highest ilvl item I could find were a few things from c'thun at 88. The ilvl90+ items are for sure from old naxx. Also... I could "stalk" him.
Welcome to the game! Here is a simple beginner's FAQ. You can also find useful information on our fan made wiki. If you run into any issues at all please don't hesitate to contact our customer support team at - We are available 24/7 and happy to help.
Remember when Mythic overcharged people for Warhammer Online subscription a few years back?
For the few people where the banks didn't catch it, it was a complete shitshow. I remember reading their forums, someone was literally panicking because the resulting overdraft had left his family nothing to live on and he had a newborn to take care of.
Ok, ok, ok... so he did this before.
In this article, long before Dark Knight and Machinist were announced, he dropped both of them.
I even speculated Machinist when I found that article and no one believed me!
Calling it now - Red Mage confirmed!
I think I can get behind a game where everyone is slutty. Equal opportunity objectification is the way to go. Now they only need to make bikini chainmails for that dog-raccoon thing.
Even though it took them way longer than it should have, I don't think you're being fair to Blizzard. They've come out and essentially said "we don't always know what's best." That is the implicit message of announcing classic servers. To claim that the devs just don't know what they're doing isn't fair.
You have to understand that it's been a very, very long time. The people playing WoW now are a breed apart from those who played classic. Even the players who've played the game this whole time unabated have been reconditioned and spoiled by the current game.
Blizzard can't just release a new expansion and say "hey, we're going vanilla style this time, lol!" That was how they marketed Cataclysm. "A return to hard," they said. There was even this gem where Ghostcrawler (lead systems dev at the time, now works at Riot) tried to justify (and rightly so, in my opinion) the difficulty of heroic dungeons at the start of the expansion. Do you know what happened next? The playerbase rioted and then heroics were blanket nerfed like two weeks later.
Then there was flight in Warlords of Draenor. Blizzard tried to remove flight. WoD was initially designed under the assumption that flying mounts would never be allowed. But the playerbase cried and cried and Blizzard caved. That is the playerbase they have now. It's their fault, of course, but you can't just go alienating your playerbase, even if you think they're wrong.
Let's not go looking the gift horse in the mouth. Blizzard has finally promised to give us what we want. I think it takes a lot of humility to say "you guys were right."
"Suggested path" is a great idea, could even align starter builds with the respective class archetypes. RIFT had to add preset builds and their skill trees are much less complex/much easier to reset.
> If these bosses aren’t bugged—and this is the intended spike in difficulty—then the game utterly, completely failed to communicate with the player that they need to focus more on survivability. They had a lot of time early in Act Four to make this clear and, if anything, I think the first few zones are easier than the end of Act Three.
You hit the nail on the head. Even as a "veteran" that knew to stack defense early, I resorted to death-zerging Act 4's final bosses too.
It looks like they're nerfing those bosses (recent hotfix) rather than increasing danger in the areas leading up to them, so I hope Cruel's difficulty is more of a gradual increase. (Which, btw, previous transition from normal to cruel had credits roll. Would that have eased some disorientation?)
MMORPG.com writes: >This new update is set for late summer of 2017.
And on Twitter the article's author further clarified:
>Late summer is a tentative goal and not a guarantee. The main goal is 2017.
Which lines up with the PoE trailer simply ending with "2017". So basically this Summer is the optimistic prediction and "sometime in 2017" the broader but more realistic timeframe.
I just want to mention it because it doesn't get much reddit love: Antnee's loot filter is incredible. It's extremely detailed, scales with level, and uses a good coloue palette that matches PoE (no stupid pinks and greens).
I wanted a loot filter that would cut out trash and (tastefully) highlight good stuff, and it fits the bill perfectly.
Well, it's a kid's MMO but it's one of my childhood favorites.

Disney shut the game down (for reasons still unknown) and some fans made "Toontown Rewritten". I can't explain it that well so here's a link.
For anybody interested, there is a Fan-server called Toontown Rewritten , having almost all the features of the original and being completly for free. They also want to continue the development where disney stopped!
> To ignore the plight of those one might conceivably save is not wisdom—it is indolence.
Said to the twins' father in a similar situation here
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/story/short-story/dark-mirror
>The distant clash of steel against steel grew into a cacophonous din as they entered the War Quarter. Trainers barked at a fresh batch of newly raised recruits hacking away at target dummies—and the occasional Alliance prisoner.
That takes place around the beginning of Legion.
The itemization right now is fucking stupid and it forces people to grind M+ for titanforged RNG BIS gear. I saw some motherfucker with 950 plate bracers from MOS today and seethed.
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/stormreaver/xinlul
Like what the fuck is this shit. Meanwhile I'm stuck using base 900 bracers from M Skorp since like the start of NH progression.
> Also he's a former warcraft dev
That's correct: he left Blizzard in 2005 (less than a year after WoW launched) to form Red5, a company from which he was fired for gross incompetence in 2013. He doesn't seem to think highly of his work at Blizzard, either.
There's a free area and a members paid area, which makes up a good 80%+ of the content these days. https://www.runescape.com/oldschool/world-map basically the areas around varrock, falador and lumbridge are f2p, along with most of the wilderness area. Everything else is members only with some minor exceptions
No, if both character is equally geared and players are somewhat equals in strength, a rogue could not beat anyone with just auto attacking
Glaives or not. And before jumping to conclusions, i'm a rank1 player from S4 https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/twisting-nether/darksoldierr
Thanks so much, you guys! I was completely caught off guard by this thread -- especially as most of the work that I'm doing right now is completely unseen, planning for the convention.
I want to use this platform to turn the appreciation around to the rest of the team: Especially all of those who have been working so hard and so diligently to prepare our content for ToonFest. I am by no means the only person working on Toontown Rewritten, and there are so many other people who put just as much work into the game as I do and often times more. It takes a village to make this town the way it's supposed to be.
There are many unsung heroes of the Toontown Team, and I wouldn't be doing my job if I let them go without appreciation as well! Thank you all for supporting us; threads like this make our hearts soar to know that our hard work is paying off.
Some may say that our content output is slow, but one thing I can promise you is that you'll never see something in Toontown Rewritten that doesn't give off the authentic Toontown charm.
PS: I can't believe that you remember my Cleff accent screwup after all of these years, Mike! But hey, I made things right last year with the addition of Cleff at ToonFest, including his proper accent.
You can.

Colin Johanson: ''Correct, and then you can swap back and forth, you can say “My character's a druid, but I'm going to play as a ranger today.” It's very similar to changing out your skills and traits, you can go in and change whenever you want, as long as you're out of combat.''
In-world they're considered as adults. One of the tales from the calamity short stories: > the twins were now sixteen summers old─old enough to be considered of age in Sharlayan society
So it'd make sense that they're allowed to drink.
Stop misinforming people.
Outfits didn't get more expensive, it has to do with the Event Cart system.
"Right now, you will see on the Outfits tab a different purchase price which has been placed due to technical limitations.
This is necessary to make sure the final price of the Event Card bundle items are correctly calculated and the proper discounts are applied.
For example, if you had selected a Premium Set of 3,400 Pearls as starting price, it would be marked down to 2,516 Pearls which is an incorrect calculation.
Please keep in mind that the prices on the outfits will only be shown during the event period of 4/18 After Maintenance to 5/2 Before Maintenance.
After the Event Cart promotion is over, the prices of the outfits will be displayed in the way before this promotion."

There are a lot of players ingame trying to scam other people for their ingame wealth. Perhaps you should let him face these things himself and let him learn from it like I did when I started playing at the age of 9. But here's a page about the most common scams ingame.
https://www.eveonline.com/article/about-the-boot.ini-issue/
>When this problem was discovered, developers were called back to work in the middle of the night to investigate and fix it. Since then we have been working hard around the clock helping our customers that were affected by this problem, quickly establishing phone support and even making arrangements for external support technicians, such as Geek Squad, to assist our customers when necessary. In all, we've been contacted by fewer than 215 users (170 by petition, 45 by phone) who were adversely affected by the boot.ini issue and we will remain diligent in our efforts to see that each case is resolved satisfactorily, first through our Customer Support and if that fails through third party tech assistance such as Geek Squad.
Hard to tell off of those numbers since it's very possible that many people arrived at a fix from outside sources.
Here is an example of what a 101 twink looks like. The items he has have the item level of someone in the now early 110's, but can be worn at 101.
Alot of people still haven't read Edge of the Night despite it being extremely important to Sylvanas' character development and motivations. Definitely worth a read if you have the time.
Commission Staking. It is against the rules.
https://www.runescape.com/game-guide/rules
> You must not advertise, organise, promote, or take part in any unofficial player run games of chance where in-game money or items are staked on the outcome of a random in-game activity. This includes, but is not limited to, all types of chance games where players trade an amount of in game money or items with the expectation that they will receive in game money or items in return based on the outcome of a game of chance or similar activity. It is also against the rules to bet on the outcome of another player's activities within the game, for example: how long it will take to kill a monster, or the outcome of a duel (commonly referred to as "commission staking").

Blizzard announced they would be selling a plush of an ingame pet at Blizzcon this year (scroll down some). It genuinely looks like a plush fursuit
It looks like a problem with European ISPs. We're investigating to find out which ISPs' routers are affected but we need data! If this affects you, please follow the instructions here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1221590
Yes the gameplay is fantastic. The combat is the most enjoyable combat I have ever experienced in an MMO. The combat is action based and uses a combo system. There are tons of systems involved in the game. I think the best way I have heard it put is that the game is like The Witcher MMO. You can spend days just talking with people around town. You could also just power grind mobs to max level and fight boss mobs (raid bosses) or GVG, PVP. The game has some faults but overall I really enjoy it. (playing on KR servers)
[edit] wow massive downvotes for liking a game..... k thx reddit
[edit] Update for those who are interested. A Standalone version of the Character Creator is available. Feel free to check it out!! Just release today!!
"Q. Why do you think a player would want to start in this zone first?
Don: Sylvanas vs. Genn Greymane.
Trevor: How about Vrykul, dragons, Kvaldir, oh, and lest we not forget, grappling hooks. Basically, when we set out to do Stormheim our general goal was to try and create this Norse epic where the player is the character in the middle of it. So if you’re a fan of Vrykul culture, if you want to learn more about the Kvaldir, if you dig dragons. . . .
Don: Storm Dragons.
Trevor: What else do you need to hear other than Storm Dragons? Ely: This zone has such a great main storyline, but it has such great side stories, too—some really cool and funny ones that lend charm to the zone.
Don: Tension between the Horde and Alliance has been building since the Broken Shore and the demon invasions, and this is the zone that kicks off more of that. It’s red versus blue right out of the gate, which then leads off into this epic story. It then returns to Alliance versus Horde again later. If that’s still fresh in your mind and you want to chase down Sylvanas, then this really is the zone for that."

"A large part of crafting and trading in Path of Exile is access to information. The value of items relative to the current metagame is constantly shifting. The value of mods rolled on items changes over time also. For example, +3 bow skills is great at the moment, but has been terrible in the past. There are secret recipes - one that generates a Regal Orb was only added to the wiki today, despite being in the game for years and also known by many people."
Previously GGG would release things like "3 new vendor recipes added" when releasing patch notes... they haven't done so for quite a while now (that I've seen), but I doubt they're stopped adding recipes, more that by putting in "how many were added", the community had -thought- they'd gotten them all thus far... turns out, not so much.

A bit more to it than just the new layout. I'm particularly excited for the increase in max number of skills, and the removal of the 24h limit for Alphas.
It makes alt creation, especially alpha alt creation, so much easier because you can just set it and forget it.
What they said was something every week or two on the website. The most recent website post was a well written short story Seeing Red. Next week is supposed to be an interview with one of the devs about developing the game followed by a retrospective on Manaan the following week.
Regarding in game updates, I don't recall if they said anything about those. Although there were crumbs in some datamined files indicating that the next short quest is being worked on. It might be the only one before LotS or there could be another, but we don't have enough information to know for sure at this point.
anyone keeping track of how many faction fortizars remaining in game?
edit: just checked, CCP gave us 1209 faction fortizars and zkill is showing up 11 already destroyed. we're still far from blowing up all of them.
edit2: i only read lossmails in zkillboard. forgot to include forts that are lost in freighters and rorqs on moveops so my count is inaccurate.
Here's my character gear/tree (Uber_Dan) because I'm sure people will be interested. https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/PoEDan79/characters
update: 2nd kill GG boys http://i.imgur.com/I5plPOI.jpg
This refers to the "Combat Upgrade", called the greatest MMO failure of all time by MMORPG.com.
>Wait seriously?
> Is that a rule?
Section 18 of EVE’s Terms of Service:
"You may not publish private communications from CCP, their agents or representatives or EVE Online volunteers without authorization."
>Why?
You must be new to /r/eve. Its a fucking witchhunt every three days. The last thing CCP wanst is people trying to drum up more drama by quoting communications out of context.
This will fix it: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/108634
It affects all programs on your computer so that's not really a solution we can get behind, but it does work. My preferred (but expensive) suggestion is to purchase and install 64 bit windows.
I hope GGG will give a demi to HUNKTHEMAN. It makes no sense to make it top 5 get demis in a game where party's are 6 man. If a full team makes it to maps, one of them will not get a demi. edit: I did say that even before the event started.
As for me well it looks like I lost the demi only in the last two hours of the race, in an exciting chase that got a ton of viewers on the different streams. Gratz to everyone for sticking to this race. With all the rips it got very easy and sometimes lonely. The ending made it all worth it.
There isn't exactly one character named Asmongold, and since your screenshot is from a < level 5 character it doesn't show up on the profiler so we can't see what server you're on. https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/search/character?q=asmongold
However, given there is a channel send from someone on the Gnomeregan server we can figure out that you are on Moonrunner though because it's connected. The Asmongold on Moonrunner is not the Asmongold youtuber. He is on Kel'thuzad
Grats!
In or around the beginning of 2011, I sent a picture to Blizzard for the Core Hound contest during Cata... Needless to say, I forgot about it.
Flash forward to July 2011, and as I'm getting ready for work, I hear a knock on my door. I answer it and sign for a package labeled 'Orange Juice'. Strange, I didn't order anything, maybe a room mate did? Either way, I opened the box, and there's a brand new iPad (when they were new, before iPad 2). Confused and thinking maybe it was for another apartment, I check the shipping label. From Blizzard Entertainment, to Me!
