Thanks so much, you guys! I was completely caught off guard by this thread -- especially as most of the work that I'm doing right now is completely unseen, planning for the convention.
I want to use this platform to turn the appreciation around to the rest of the team: Especially all of those who have been working so hard and so diligently to prepare our content for ToonFest. I am by no means the only person working on Toontown Rewritten, and there are so many other people who put just as much work into the game as I do and often times more. It takes a village to make this town the way it's supposed to be.
There are many unsung heroes of the Toontown Team, and I wouldn't be doing my job if I let them go without appreciation as well! Thank you all for supporting us; threads like this make our hearts soar to know that our hard work is paying off.
Some may say that our content output is slow, but one thing I can promise you is that you'll never see something in Toontown Rewritten that doesn't give off the authentic Toontown charm.
PS: I can't believe that you remember my Cleff accent screwup after all of these years, Mike! But hey, I made things right last year with the addition of Cleff at ToonFest, including his proper accent.
TTR had over 5,000 players at one point in 2015. Truly was a great time.
Hopefully when Sellbot Field Offices finally release, the population will start to increase again. Unfortunately we won't see over 5,000 players for awhile unless TTR starts releasing many more updates.
Ok. First off, just wow. This is beautiful! I mean... I think you are an astounding artist! I'm sure the Rewritten team would love having you aboard if you're willing to Apply. u/SleepyMaya (aka Slate Blue Rabbit) and u/Roger_dog (aka Roger dog) are lead artists on the team and I'm positive they'd love seeing how well you've captured the aesthetics of Toontown.
If you feel like joining, try hopping on their website at https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/apply and then sending an application to their email at .
> Can you really get banned for saying “You Stink!”? It’s a SpeedChat phrase, so how can it be bad?
> Rest assured, you cannot be banned for saying “You stink!” -- however, you can be banned for harassment. Using any phrase to harass another Toon (That is, following them around or continuing to bother them after they’ve asked you to stop) can result in an infraction. We’re all humans behind the Toon, so please be friendly to one another!
They did indeed finish The Rerigged 2.0 project about 3 years ago. (as seen here )
They just recently used Rerigged 2.0 to create the Spotlight Search animations and they're using them as well for the Ice Game minigame in the Sellbot Field Offices Update.
Welcome back! Just in time for the real life ToonFest that's happening this Friday! Keep an ear out for stuff being revealed on Saturday! :D
I'd like to take the chance and say the new drawings at this blog post were mainly made by our brand designer June. They were made with vector tools only, in Adobe Photoshop. If you are familiar with these tools, think you can make vector art that will match that drawing and shading style, and interested in volunteering to help Toontown Rewritten - please check out the brand designer application! https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/apply
My Toon was deleted! Can I get it back? Before we can work on restoring your Toon, we're going to need the following information: Account Name: Toon Name: Toon Description: Reason for Deletion: When was the toon deleted? Did you have ToonGuard or Two-Factor Authentication on when the toon was deleted?
Our support team will verify the information you sent as soon as possible. You can continue to play on your account while you wait. Please make sure that you have one spot open for the Toon that you want to restore, otherwise we won't be able to bring back your Toon!
NOTE: Accounts who disable ToonGuard AND Two-Factor Authentication are not eligible for deleted Toon restoration, regardless of if the Toon was deleted by the account owner or not. If you use one or the other you are not subject to this restriction, however. Requests for Toons deleted more than 90 days prior to the request being received will not be honored at this time. This policy has been updated effective 11/16/2017. If you have previously asked to have a toon restored that was older than 30 days but less than 90 days old at the time, and your request was rejected, please email us again and include enough information as possible about that attempt!!
See FAQ on the website.
It IS possible.
Right you are! The entire plot of the Crash Cashbot video was based on an idea I had a long time ago, which we used a version of for the finding of CBHQ in a blog post.
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/164/a-cashbot-catastrophe
I've always loved the visual of the jolly trolley racing through Cashbot HQ with those gigantic trains, so it was a dream come true to put this video together and see how it plays out. The end of the video gets even better!
I think this is a blog post posted 1 year late, considering around this time last year, an update almost exactly the same as this was released, which included new music, Make-A-Toon improvements, performance enhancements, etc. Also in the url you can see the number 346, while the new ones are in the 410s in numbers, but there is a blog post missing from around June 4,2016 that would've had the exact same number. (Would've been in the middle of these two: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/345/rhymes-for-toontowns-time https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/347/stay-updated-with-omgcon )
Yup, that's it exactly! Rerigged (along with Rerigged 2.0) was a prerequisite for being able to both modify and add new animation. The original files have been locked as Bam files for the longest time. What we did was both create a new rig (for creating new animation), AND port all 1000+ animation bam files to that rig in Maya (to edit existing animation). This means that not only are we able to tweak existing animation, but it can now be preserved forever, even if the Bams no longer work anymore. You can read more details about the whos, whats, and whys here on our backstage post about it.
There's a lot of little things under the hood this project enhanced that are internal. But suffice it to say, it greatly enhances our ability/capacity for both future content (as you will see at Toonfest) and our ability to enhance/improve existing content (such as Retextured).
It's thank to these new tools that more than ever, we are looking for new people who can finally help us out with character rigs, animation, modeling, and texture art. Before we needed people with a huge overhead of technical experience, but more and more our technical artists (myself included) are working to allow our artists, both new and old, to do more with less!
Your theory is more likely than you think.
If you've been playing for a long time, you may remember that back in Alpha, there was a presidential election between Flippy and Slappy. Slappy won the election, but was taken prisoner by the cogs, forcing Flippy to stand-in as president. The lore of TTR basically states that this all happened in TTO as well, but we are in a "rewritten" version of that timeline, created by Doctor Surlee travelling back in time from 2013 in an attempt to save Slappy.
Now, the reason I'm telling you this is because during Slappy's presidential campaign, he actually spoke about his plans for a new playground, which he was going to build if he got elected.
> I've been putting some thought into it lately. One thing that I've really wanted to see is a home for the black and white toons of the Tooniverse. I'm not talking about Polar Bears or Black Cats, but our ancestors who brought us to where we are today. They never get any credit anymore, you know? Time has made them forgotten, and that just isn't right. Toontown should be a place for everyone! I definitely want to open a new Playground for those guys and gals.
This is basically what Funny Farm was going to be. Obviously the reason it was cut from TTO is because of developer time constraint, but I think the TTR team has done something really clever here and created a canon reason for Funny Farm never getting created - because the duck who wanted to build it was taken prisoner.
So in short, I agree. I reckon Slappy is going to build that playground after we save him.
Interesting post! As always, take these things with a grain of salt, but if real it provides some cool insight into the innerworkings of Disney. I think it's also worth mentioning that in the two years since this post was made, Toontown Rewritten's moderation has improved tenfold (And it wasn't too shabby back then either -- from the beginning, child safety has been our top priority, however as with anything we've improved with experience and better systems that even Disney didn't have in place).
Regarding Jesse Schell and the future of Toontown, this seems like a good time to plug this new section of our website that goes into some detail about how we can try to guarantee Toontown's future. If you want Toontown to come back officially, tell them! Every single letter counts. We want to constantly remind Disney that we want Toontown to come back and we're willing to pay for it, so that it's in the back of someone's mind when the timing is right.
The Toon Name Guidelines are listed over here, and unfortunately I think that I can see why your name was rejected. I understand it's frustrating that you can't get your Toontown Online name, but the reason our moderation team is so strict on name rules is to maintain consistency.
While you may think that the Toontown Online team was better at name approval, at a lot of times they were very inconsistent which caused frustration from players. We want to avoid that. We bend our rules in the first place to allow some Toontown Online names through that may not have necessarily made it (see: the pun names), but we can't do that for every situation.
"Once Upon A Time" just simply isn't a name. And as corny as it sounds, the way to bend that rule would be to turn it into a name along the lines of "Oncepon A. Time". This doesn't mean that we can't change our name guidelines, but while the rule is in place, we need to stay consistent with it to be fair to all players.
>OH wait! I just realized something maxed gardeners would love about it. If the flora recovers quickly, like every 2 hours, then you could get MULTIPLE lvl 7 gags in the day for FREE. That's actually a really nice bonus from it.
Huh, I never thought about that, great point! I'd say with that revelation I would move the garden boost out of the niche category.
>For the Overheal OverJoyed buff, maybe instead of a flat rate of 8 laff, it could vary depending on the Toon's laff. Giving perhaps a bonus of 20% in relation to their max laff (rounded down).
I thought about that, but then it provides very little boost at all to newer toons and an absurd boost to later game toons that will make the game way easier than it is, and it still doesn't fix the Uber problem. I'm still for scrapping it.
>I just wanna inform you though that with the exp buffs from Toonfest, the max exp did increase as well to 600 when in use, so it may do that as well for the gag that wins.
Good to know. But I agree with you, these teams would still be niche without the added organic bonus.
>You're right about Global Teleport being useless to higher toons, so I feel this should honestly be grouped in with the Jellybean boost.
I feel like the jellybean boost is a perfectly fine group that appeals to toons that are newer or aren't specifically training anything, and I think giving it the teleport boost would make it a bit too popular. But hey, you never know until the TTR team starts testing them out!
>Toontown Rewritten provides a free online game intended to be accessible to the entire family. Toontown Rewritten and its staff may, at their discretion, terminate your access to our services at any time for any reason. Examples of behavior that is not allowed includes, but is not limited to:

I had the same issue at first! Have you tried this? Look at the instructions in the answer to the question that says “Is TR compatible with MacOS Catalina and MacOS Big Sur?”
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/troubleshooting#mac-catalina
There was a "Top Toons" Event that happened on New Years, where players were challenged to either defeat the most cogs in a designated hour (Like 12 AM, 1 AM, 2 AM, etc.) or take over the most cog building floors in the same time period. The top 4 toons in both categories for each hour won the shirt that everyone is wearing in the pic above. Here is the blog post containing the full list of winners, if you're interested in knowing who won.
They are working on it: (https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/gameplay#wasd). Also, you can use an AutoHotKey script to do the same thing. But the more posts that you guys post on this, the bigger the change the TTR team will actually even consider working on anything, so go ahead.
Pretty much. The grey is just the exposed void that we're usually not supposed to see. It's nice to see a game engine mechanic given some unintended lore.
Resistance Rangers are all Toontown Rewritten team members. If you're interested in joining our team, check out this link to see which positions you might like!
I believe it's in the help section at https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help
Scroll to the bottom and you'll see Terms of Service on the left side.
Hope you'll be able to get in the game soon! And I wish you the best of luck!
I'm sure I've mentioned this to /u/quentin-e before, as well as in our staff channel in our Discord server, though I think it would be a good idea to have monthly blog posts that give the playerbase an idea as to what the Toontown Team is currently working on.
From what I've seen, people are mostly concerned about the lack of new content being released by the Toontown Team, which in turn results in a lack of confidence by the community in regards to TTR. By doing monthly blog posts, however, I believe this would alleviate some of the concerns that people have about TTR's approach to new content.
Whilst I do fully understand that information relating to projects being worked on interally would be confidential, these monthly blog posts could simply give people an idea as to what the team are currently working on. Whilst a blog post like the recent Meet the Meter blog post could work, smaller blog posts could be made in-between such posts along the lines of "this is what we're working on" and "this is where we're at". Just think of these smaller posts as being simple "progress updates".
Every year there is a event called "New Year's Top Toons Marathon". Toons are rivalizing each other who will defeat most Cogs/recover most Cog Buildings. Once the winners are announced, they receive an exclusive Gold Medal Shirt sent straight to their mailbox at the estate. The results will be in TTR website. Well, check the winners for this year. Hope I helped. Cheers, Popcorn.
Unfortunately our artist who did the previous comic (this one) is no longer on the team, and we've also rescheduled a few of our projects to make sure we're meeting what the community wants. At some point we will hear what happened inbetween the election and the start of beta, but I'm not sure whether or not it will be in comic form.
My guess according to the Toon Name Guidelines
>Don't merge words that are too large. >Names that consist of merged words need to be 15 characters or less, and can only contain two combined words total.
Oh, really? That's really weird, considering it says right in the Toon Naming Guidelines that fictional names are allowed as long as they wouldn't be confused with real people (the acceptable examples they use are Kylo Ren and Dipper Pines). I guess if the person reviewing the name hasn't seen the show, they might not know the name is based on a fictional character, though.
Have you tried this? https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/troubleshooting#Mac-Catalina

After a few days since Disney has shutdown, a few of the community members coded every aspect of the game from the ground up! This means, they coded everything from scratch!
To save you from click all the way back from the news section of the TTR website, here is the ("First TTR Blog Post)[ https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/3/a-big-surprise-all-fa-you ]
Try seeing if any of these solutions work: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/troubleshooting#windows-launcher
If that doesn't work then email [email protected] with the crash log.
Yes!!! Welcome back to Toontown! The real-life ToonFest takes place in 25 days, where all the new content for this year will be spoken about. Hype! :D
I get where you're coming from, but I've met quite a few people who love the TTR storyline once they know of it, thanks to me (as a fan and writer of Toontown Stories myself, I push the story to anyone who's willing to listen) but had no idea it was happening, even with the current ARG recently spanning across several social media platforms. I have links and docs saved up that tell most of the story when read in order, but it's mostly been fragmented over the years till recently when they posted a somewhat of a recap post. However, even that just skims through most things, and there's no mention of the Slappy Quackintosh days, which is what led to the Cogs invading in the first place, and why the rest of the lore is happening to begin with.
Having a centralized location for the entire TTR lore would be nice. They've kinda done that with the post above, but hard as it may be to believe, not everyone reads the blog. So I like the idea of an in-game way of catching up with the story. In fact, if it was an interactive way of catching up, such as having to click buttons, or move about a room, it would help keep people engaged and interested.
Sorry to hear about your frustrations with SOS shoppers. We do allow SOS shopping, but only if everybody in the group agrees. You can read more about it on our FAQ here: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/moderation--safety#sos-shopping
If SOS shopping has not been agreed to but a Toon leaves the battle anyways, please send us a report via email to . All we need is your account name, Toon name, and the time and date of the VP. If you have any information about the Toon that left, that helps too!
You can find our policy on prior infractions with regard to applications on our FAQ page! The link should take you right to the relevant entry.
Sorry to hear about your situation with SOS Shoppers! We do allow SOS Shopping, but only when everyone in the group is OK with shopping. More details here: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/moderation--safety#sos-shopping
If you are in a random group where shopping is not going to be OK with everyone and you do see a toon leave, please Email us and we can look into it!
You can also send to the various emails, addresses, and individuals listed here. Physical mail is a lot more powerful than e-mail, so give 'em the ol' snail mail for maximum effect! Share a family memory, maybe a photo of a Toontown event you held/went to! A time where Toontown helped you in a time of need, anything at all. Every little effort counts for showing Disney just how much we love/support Toontown and would want to see it officially supported with the love and care it deserves :)
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/about-toontown#save-toontown
Heya! I'm pretty sure you should email TTR Support ( ) to get your answer about your username.
Maybe it was due to the lack of spaces? I believe that they denied the first name (Mynameajeff) due to it being a 'sentence' (The rule for sentences is as follows "Don't use sentences. We recommend that you tell someone your sentence rather than using it as your name. '- Unacceptable: I Like Kitties, Bunnies Are The Best' '- Acceptable: Kitty Love, Best Bunny'") but then again, I'm not sure. Email them to check what was wrong.
Edit: Also, here's the rules for names ; https://www.toontownrewritten.com/terms/toonnames
Yes lots of toons are playing ToonTown currently! Since it is the summer time, there are around 2000 players on average that play ToonTown everyday!
You can find groups here! or you can also join the TTR Discord on this sub on your right that says Discord if you ever need help on getting started!
Please Note: The ToonTown Rewritten Discord is not affiliated with members of the ToonTown Rewritten team! Any issues with the game must be emailed to the support team!
There is also an event going on currently with Cashbot HQ! The event is called Operation Crash Cashbot! Here is a blog post to get you started!
I hope I get can see you in the game!
I HEAVILY doubt a major tech Youtube channel like LTT runs McAfee in their office.
Especially considering after McAfee bought TunnelBear, they went out of their way to cut ties and let everyone know. Linus even states in this video he goes out of his way to get rid of McAfee and he hasn't used it in a very long time.
Windows 10 download link - https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
I would personally recommended downloading Oracle VM VirtualBox, as it is basically a free alternative to Parallels, but a little more complex as it asks you to configure it. Your best bet is to select Windows 10 from the dropdown list and keep the rest of the setup the same. - https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
Yeah! I'm one of the Art Directors and also a Texture Artist.
Field Offices are still being worked on so were not released yet, but if you wanna know what they look like, you could see a preview of the exterior I textured here: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/579/sellbot-field-offices--backstage-toontown
And higher quality images here: https://imgur.com/a/Fea3978
Make sure to check your Toontown: Rewritten Account settings on the TTR website and go under Chat Settings (and check Account Activity just in case)! This wouldn't be a case of joining a district that only uses regular Speedchat - as you mention you could read others Speedchat+. The account settings is the only suggestion I can think of at the moment, until Support responds back to you. Best of luck!
Well, other than the shirt, everything in this picture was given away for free if you arrived to the past conventions, so you could get a lot of free cool things if you manage to make it into the next one!
If you can't though, you could still get some of the things by using our member mailers each year:
We've listed both mailing and email addresses for Disney Interactive and Schell Games here on our website:
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/about-toontown#save-toontown
We definitely recommend sending an email, but if you have the time, sending a letter may be even better!
> Your Toon name can't be a celebrity, band, sports team, or copyrighted brand.
> We don't want to have to team up with Legal Eagles to defend your name! Ideally, we'd like to fire them from a cannon.

> - Acceptable: Elvis Impressley, Blue Sox, Quackintosh
I guess the joke is "Once upon a time, there were a lot of tweaks released into a single update." which once upon a time could be any time.
Kinda/sorta--if I recall right, they did occasional live Twitch streams and put out an update video for the Field Offices and that was about it. I think we can expect the same this year!
Dug up this recent article from TTR talking about this year's Toonfest
Well, we've gotten the Silly Meter in 2019 and that was a community-oriented update. We just recently got 2 new trolley games in April and Field Offices are going to be the biggest content update in Toontown Rewritten history.
Field Offices weren't being worked on 5 years ago, they might've talked about them but as you can see in the video I linked, they've completely revamped them so it's nowhere near close to what Toontown Online even had except for a single minigame that the Toontown Rewritten Team changed with their own ideas. Plus, they revealed them in 2018 so I don't get where this notion of 5 years comes from. If they released Field Offices as they were in Toontown Online, people would complain regardless as multiple private servers have already done that. Why do that when they can be made better?
Could I get a source on the weekly updates? As far as I know, you're either referring to the Field Office backstage posts or the ToonCasts (which the majority of the community thinks was a lot better than the hour-long live streams the TTR Team used to hold.)
When you say you can't see what they are saying, do you mean you have not turned on chat on the website? If that's the case, go to https://www.toontownrewritten.com/account/chat and click on Basic Speedchat, then change it to Speedchat+ and click Submit.
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/toon-names
>#Don't use sentences. We recommend that you tell someone your sentence rather than using it as your name.
>* Unacceptable: I Like Kitties, Bunnies Are The Best - Acceptable: Kitty Love, Best Bunny
This Is where i found what TTO members were a part of TTO. I wouldn’t know who’s still there not though, maybe its just oudated and I didnt realize. While Schell Games isn’t Toontown Rewritten, from what I’ve gathered, the ones who have made updates to Rewritten are Schell Games who are from Toontown Online.
What is this new content that was released..? I know bossbot HQ some say is new but I thought that was just disney’s content that wasnt implemented yet, no?
I hope you can understand my hesitation in accepting what you’re saying about content you’re working on; for years there has been a lack of communication regarding this mystery content that Im just hearing of now. For years people have been made to expect something new and innovative but have been let down, I dont want to end up like that.
This wouldn't apply to your situation, but you'd have a few unites from the Winter Laff-o-Lympics rewards if you created a Cat, Crocodile, Deer, Monkey, or Mouse in January of 2019.
Welcome to Toontown Rewritten!
Are you seeing a popup with an orange monkey? If so, you can type it on the two big black stripes next to the GO button (top is for username, bottom is for password).
If you don't see that, you might have downloaded the wrong thing, this is the correct download link, make sure you pick the right operation system: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/play
If it doesn't work for any reason, please email
Found a potential solution: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/troubleshooting#outdated
First one under Mac worked for me. :)
Some people have already figured it out for you. We are now waiting for the rest of it.
If you want to see where puzzle leads to check [SPOILER] this image [SPOILER].
There is no current WASD support in the game or settings. In the FAQ on www.toontownrewritten.com, it says it is something they are looking at in the future, that can be seen here. You can also use the multi toon control on mirror mode to run two toons and that allows you to run one of them using the WASD keys.
Hi there!
I am sorry to hear you are having trouble getting into the game, please look at this troubleshooting guide since you are having issues with the launcher.
Hi there! Please see if the issues you are having are in this troubleshooting guide: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/troubleshooting
If none of these solutions in the troubleshooting guide help then please send in a bug report with log files at
Definitely thousands of textures, but it was first mentioned in 2014 which is over three years ago now and it seems like they already had a few playgrounds done back then.
Aw shucks, sorry about that! It's hard to figure out what happens where when it comes to postal service (especially for transcontinental mail), but if you contact TTR support they might be able to help you make sure this one comes back safely! There's also some helpful criteria listed at the bottom here for general mailing rules/guidelines, especially for international letters (if that concerns you) if you haven't checked already.
Welcome to Toontown!!!
If you lag badly I suggest switching district into the most empty district when you are doing solo activities (such as fishing), that will usually reduce the lag.
You could get more tokens per fishing bucket by upgrading your fishing rod, but it depends on if you have new rods in your cattlelog yet or not. They take a while to get, and they make fishing cost more beans, but you will eventually need them anyway, so I suggest buying them if you have them in your cattlelog.
I am also bad at cannons, so I find trampoline the quickest, though I'm also not very good at it. :P But what I figured helped me with trampolines was making the game window bigger so I can see the jumping bar better, then trying to click exactly when the bar hits the orange line. Another thing that helps me is to completely ignore the whole screen except for the bar, and not look at my toon jumping at all, it seems to be easier to focus that way.
We are also working on finishing other activities that will give more ways to earn tokens, if we manage to finish them in time they would provide new ways to earn tokens that might be quicker. You can also look around the toonfest area for brown bags, they contrain 20 tokens each (though you have to wait after each one before you can pick up another, so only pick jellybean ones if you need them). I also recommand following our social media because: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/436/four-years-of-toontown-rewritten--toonfest-2017
Hope that helps! If you have any more questions about gameplay feel free to ask. I also recommand checking out this site if you don't know about it yet: http://toonhq.org Unrelated to toonfest, but is very useful for general gameplay (it has an invasion tracker, a fishing guide, and a great way to find groups).
I am not a name moderator, so I can only do what you can do yourself. I took a look at the name guidelines and this is what I found: "Don't be spammy! Here in Toontown, Toons enjoy sensible nonsense, not unintelligible nonsense. - Unacceptable: Ooo, Prriinncceess, Asdfghjkl"
Maybe that is what they are applying? You can find the Name Guidelines here - https://www.toontownrewritten.com/terms/toonnames
For more specifics, you should probably email support@toontownrewritten and ask about your name and account.
Oh man, this is something I wish I could figure out exactly what is wrong. It does seem to be a relatively popular issue with the 5700XT (especially on older games for reasons I'm unsure of). I've attempted to look into it myself a few times, but without that specific card to test with (assuming it isn't something that's Panda3D or AMD driver deep) I'm really not sure of what can be done to help sadly :(

While I can't really offer you or anyone else with a solution, I do have some questions/tests to offer to anyone interested/capable that would really help us out!

If not, are you able reproduce the problem at all using Panda3D? If so, what steps does it take to reproduce?
etc
folder and adding in configuration flags (each on a seperate line) such as:texture-anisotropic-degree 16
(default is 1, goes up to 16)multisamples 8
(default is 0, goes up to 8)default-antialias-enable #t
(default is #f/false)Sadly, I am unable to walk anyone though those exact steps to experiment with, but if you or any technical folks out there are able to answer those questions, do let us know!
While I do not use it myself, Ubuntu has been the go-to distribution for new Linux users, as it places a heavy emphasis on being easy to transition from Windows with.
https://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop has guides that you can view that should ease you into Ubuntu. I would personally use the long term support (LTS) version so you do not have to worry about upgrading so often.
If you're using a VPN and want to play TTR, try looking for the "Split Tunneling" feature. It's basically an exclusion list so the VPN won't affect the listed apps and websites.
My own VPN, Mullvad, has that feature.
The only thing you should be aware of is that the newer version of the game download is being falsely flagged by multiple antivirus softwares as a trojan, which as i mentioned, is a false flag. The download is safe. So dont be worried that youre downloading a virus. Just make sure you're downloading from: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/

Fishing was actually already made easier compared to TTO in the first Toontown Tweaks update. I do agree it can be quite tedious still, but it's way better than what it used to be.
You can check the exact time by going through your account activity at TTR's website. It should be the first ever entry of the log.
Instead of scrolling through the pages manually, you can change the page number in the URL (https://www.toontownrewritten.com/account/events/xx) to something like 60 or 70 to find the entry "ACCOUNT_REGISTER".
Hey there! That sounds like it may be caused by the known issue with Catalina (and above), you can find the steps to correct that here.

How do you know the team is lazy and can't communicate effectively if you aren't on the team? It's a remote team meaning communication isn't going to be the best but they still have meetings / checkups with each other and talk with each other. While there might not be that much content coming out, I am sure the team put's a lot of work in behind the scenes.

Literally came out like a day after this post
That is not a rule.
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/toon-names
>Only simple, short, and appropriate foreign language names. Unfortunately, the Toon Council doesn't speak every language, and we've gotta make sure they're all appropriate. - Unacceptable: Katze Der Dunklen Nacht, Le Chien Vraiment Rapide - Acceptable: Nacht Katze, Chien Rapide
This might be where he is getting hit... but the rules are broken all the time. The people doing the accepting don't know what they are doing. Names that follow the rules get rejected and names that break the rules get accepted. Everyday I see, at least, 10 to 15 names that break the rules.
Hello!
Are you on macOS Catalina by any chance?
If so, this might be of help to you: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/troubleshooting#mac-catalina
Let me know if this resolves your issue!
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/troubleshooting#crashes this page has some fixes if none work I'd email the team directly, aside from common fixes which can be found here you'll need to provide more info.
As per Toontown Rewritten staff member "TheBdude1" on Twitter:
"We have a bit of an internal archive going, but it's nowhere near comprehensive. It also has a ton of stuff we'd not really want to upload, as we scanned a ton of early stuff that Bruce Woodside donated to us when he moved to a smaller place and was going through his attic.
Truthfully, I wish we could share some of that stuff from Bruce (and we have shown a bit at Toonfest!) but it's hard to justify risking uploading scans of something with confidentiality like that. Still, I hope to show off more of it each year at Toonfest on the art wall."
In my own personal opinion, I believe this reasoning is a bit bogus. They're willing to show some of this "confidential" material off, but only in avenues Toontown Rewritten deems fit. They don't mind admitting that Bruce gave them this "confidential" material either, yet they also believe it crosses the line to fully publicize it. Other community members who have researched lost Toontown content have been completely fine with publishing their work before. The old Map found by Loopy Goopy G. which was later posted by Jesse Schell on Twitter. The Toontown 2 Prototype, also found by Loopy Goopy G. And most recently, scrapped music tracks found by another community member. Toontown Rewritten holding onto unseen stuff like this seems like the oddity out of the bunch.
However, in the past, I believe Toontown Rewritten may have publicized some unseen stuff on the website. In the 15th anniversary blog post, there's an image in the thumbnail that I don't believe has ever been seen before. It seems to be an early concept of Beta Toontown Central.
Hiya. Parking is against the Terms of Service
Use the report button when you need to!!
Send a report to TTR email:
My Username (no passwords please!): Toon I was playing on: Time of incident: Date of incident: Reported toon's name: Reported toon's species: Incident Location (building, VP, golf, etc): Report button used?: Additional information such as screenshots, exact quotes, other toons involved or in battle with you, the nature of the incident, etc.: Pictures and video help a lot!!
Unfortunately there’s probably nothing you can do at this point and nothing will get done about it. Next time, you should first: start recording, report the player using their toon menu, also open up the side menu to reveal the Toons Toon ID. Then send in the video to their support email.
Here’s a link to the TTR website where it shows you a format to use when sending the email and it explains everything: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/moderation--safety#reporting
Building stealing is mentioned in TTR's terms, which I hope you read before playing. They wouldn't add it there if it wasn't a real issue.
> Being rude or disrespectful to other players, or the Toontown Rewritten staff. Examples of rude behavior can include "building stealing" (stealing a Cog Building from another group of players) and "SOS Shopping" with players who did not consent to it (disconnecting from a boss battle because you didn't want the reward, leaving other players behind).

Only for April Toon's day. I didn't even realize this until yesterday lol.
Believe it or not, there was once a time that golfing was so messed up that the golf balls wouldn't move at all!
We definitely want to fix what we have now, and I hope that we're able to in the near future since a surprising amount of people love golf -- yourself included it seems. 😄 One day those golf balls will obey the laws of physics!
That's great to hear! You can head right over here to see all the various positions available and fill out the most relevant application to your field of interest.
And as Joey mentioned, feel free to bring up any questions or concerns you may have. The community is alive today thanks to motivated Toons such as yourself. Good luck and best wishes!
If you did the fresh install and anti virus thing, go to TTR website, they have a list of things troubleshoot.
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/troubleshooting
If all else fails, email support with a description of the problem and include the crash log.
Yea it's at the bottom of this page: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/600/no-more-fog-on-the-toontown-blog
No worries! Is that really all the message says? That probably explains why your launcher kept getting stuck while trying to update. I would suggest trying to add the game to your firewall exceptions as described here.
Yes there was, patch notes should be on the website here:
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/play

Scroll down and they will be there!
The team has decided to bring back an iconic contraption as a new permanent community challenge core element to the game. The more active everyone is, the more buffs everyone gets. Simple as that.
Most recent update introduced the Silly meter . The rewards are a temporary laff increase, decreased fishing rarity and a jelly bean bonus. There was a patch update earlier today to fix some bugs.
Bit of info for the uninitiated:
Based on those two things, we already knew the Silly Meter would probably be released today. Joey has confirmed there will be a "multi-day" ARG today that will lead into the Silly Meter.
The Silly Meter itself is a long-planned update and you can find info about that here.
Hello there /u/CillGuy!
I would just like to inform you that I've removed your post, as it violates Rule 5 of the Subreddit's rules. If you're having issues regarding your ability to play the game, your best bet would be to contact support via . By doing this, they might be able to help you resolve issue and get you back into the Tooniverse in no time!
If this helps, you can refer to Troubleshooting portion of the TTR FAQ here.
If none of that is working have a look here at the troubleshooting steps the team suggest: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/troubleshooting.
If it still doesn't work, send an email to explaining the problem, with log files and your username attached. Hope this helps :)
You can check out our troubleshooting FAQ for Windows here. If none of those steps help you out, send us an email over at with an explanation of what's happening, what you've tried (so the Support member who gets your email knows what to try next!), what operating system you're running, and what antivirus program you're running. It could also help to attach any log or crash files that generate when you try to log in! Instructions for finding those files can be found here. Hope you can get back to fighting the Cogs soon!
Welcome to Toontown!
I see some other players already gave youtips, but if you have any specific questions or if you struggle with anything, feel free to ask!
We also have a real life event in Pittsburgh happening soon: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/convention If you are able to visit, you will get to meet our staff members (probably me as well), take completely free merchandise we are making, meet and play with other players, watch our panels, an an exclusive in-game item, and even pie some staff members at the face with a real pie! (not me though, lol) Along with more cool things that we will announce soon.
You should try again to see if you can get the ToonGuard code in time to use this time. Once you get back in, you can disable ToonGuard yourself if you've had three location confirmations. If you haven't had three confirmations and you still really want it to be disabled, consider contacting Toontown Rewritten support to see if they can disable it for you.
You can log into our website and check your chat settings here. Make sure that the setting is set to SpeedChat+! If it is, and you still can't use SpeedChat+, send an email to with your username and we can look into it for you!
Nothing in the naming guidelines shows that your name 'Iggy Gazellea' should have been rejected. In fact, within the TTR naming guidelines, they use the name 'Elvis Impressley' as an acceptable name which follows the same sort of style you're going for. I would email support regarding this, perhaps you may be able to have this name.
Check out the suggestions here to see if they help you get back into the game. If you are still having trouble, email us at and a Support member will reply to your email as soon as they can!
You can try to see if your antivirus program is preventing the game from opening (a common cause of your issue, it seems!) by disabling it right before trying to log in. Remember to re-enable it when you're done, though! You can also check out this link to see if some of the suggestions there help you get into the game. If you're still having trouble, email us at and we can help you out!
I don't think quite that long, but I do believe that in a blog post here they stated that the team would "Spend a little time making sure there are no stuffed ballots, and then announce the two species who are moving on to the final round shortly after." With that said, it's been essentially four months since the first round of elections came around, and I don't think no matter what the TTR Team's priorities and personal lives had in store for them, I severely doubt it would have taken 4 months to count every single ballot.
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/terms Nothing about not being able to do this. "If it disrupts gameplay of others or provides an unfair advantage, don't do it." It does not provide an unfair advantage. I am not excluding anyone from buying or selling accounts therefore its fair. "Using third-party software to modify the game" although this is third party it is not a software nor does it modify the game, therefore is not against the rules. Not against the rules in any way.
