I'm 16 and my brother is 11. We've both always liked Star Wars. We saw all the movies a while ago and we played some of the games including the LEGO games, the Force Unleashed games, and Battlefront 2. He's also seen most of the Clone Wars TV show while I've only seen a couple of episodes. I also remember us playing some Star Wars MMO (not SWTOR) when the Clone Wars TV show started called Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures.
Recently though, Disney's marketing has gotten us really hyped about Star Wars and now neither of us can get enough. Over our winter break we watched a Star Wars movie a day (skipping the animated Clone Wars) after we went to see Episode VII. After that we've both been reading a bunch of random Star Wars lore online and I've started to watch Rebels (which I actually like). I've installed KOTOR and got a bunch of mods from a stickied post on /r/kotor (I messed up and accidentally overwrote some files - hopefully that doesn't fuck it up too much. I'm shit at modding and I normally stay away from this stuff but seeing as KOTOR is kinda old I thought I'd do it). We both also installed SW:TOR (took all of yesterday) and we played it all day today.
While I've always liked Star Wars, I've never really loved the universe as much as I do now. I'm hyped about the upcoming movies and I hope new awesome trilogies (that don't seem like they're just cash-cows) keep getting pumped out until I die. I don't want it to continue after that though. I want to see it all.
Because of my recent cravings for Star Wars I also want to get more into the Legends stuff but there's so much of it that it seems kind of intimidating.
I don't know why I typed all that actually. It seems kind of irrelevant now that I read your comment again. I guess I just felt like saying that? Oh well. Maybe I should post this to /r/offmychest.
I didn't forget:
WWI was a very big cause of WWII. WWI led to depressions in Germany, Italy, the Soviet Union, and many more places which in turn caused powerful people to rise in many different countries. These countries in which a person of power rose each had some part in the start of WWII. Another thing that led to WWII was appeasement. The League of Nations was supposed to stand up to countries that acted out, but they did not. When the League of Nations was called upon to stop a country from acting out, too often they stood by and did nothing. The League of Nations didn't do anything to stop these countries because they were afraid that if they interfered it would cause another World War. What they didn't know was that if they did not stand up to this, it would cause a World War anyway.
https://www.sutori.com/story/how-the-conclusion-of-wwi-led-to-wwii
The people that made these decisions were the leaders of WW1 similar to how the OT heroes became the leaders of the Rebellion.
When a soldier's heroic sacrifice is betrayed by the incompetence of their leadership it is not a show of respect to the dead soldier to ignore the leader's incompetence.
Good points about him being more damaged.
He should have been able to kill those innocent people as easily as the other Stormtroopers. His conditioning would have justified those actions, possibly convincing him that anyone outside the First Order is evil and deserves death.
I think there has to be more to the story with Finn, because right now the backstory is trivial. Why even have the Stormtroopers conditioned at birth? Why not have them be volunteers or drafted? That would make Finn's transition more convincing.
I assume it's because it's not the empire with many civilians. I think it's suppose to be a post-apocalyptic dystopian version of the empire. Which is really cool. The only way I can conceive that it's going to work is if Finn ends up being someone who has some sort of natural resistance to conditioning.
EDIT: I did a google search and it looks like there is some explanation of Finn and his time as a Stormtrooper before TFA in the prequel novel Before the Awakening. It's been summarized here.
Heres a great 30 minute, NPR style podcast about his technique for how he came up with many of our favorite sounds, his philosophy of sound design, his contributions to (and how he´s largely missing from) Disney era Star Wars, and more! https://player.fm/series/forcecenter/the-sounds-of-ben-burtt-happy-beeps-ep-9 The man will forever be central to the DNA of Star Wars, and for me makes up 1/3 of the trifecta of what makes the saga what it is (alongside George and John Williams). Enjoy!
Here's a time and date calculator for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel on Friday.
The details for that panel come from here and are as follows:
> Star Wars: The Force Awakens, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.; Hall H
> Lucasfilm president and producer Kathleen Kennedy, director J.J. Abrams, writer Lawrence Kasdan, and special guests provide a special look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
> ... with The Star Wars: Force Awakens panel scheduled for Friday, July 10; ...
I posted this in the previous SDCC thread, so I'm going to post it again here. It's one of the first things I try to figure out with these types of events, so hopefully someone will find it helpful.
Apparently the games development wasn't going too well.
It sounded so good on paper, it's a shame it didn't pan out.
https://www.amazon.com/YDD-Light-Saber-Lightsaber-Silver/dp/B07BCXCMZK
this YDD costs as much as Ultrasabers' cheapest hilt, but it has sound without needing to pay $100+ for Ultrasabers' not very good at all sound system.

>to send or convey from one person or place to another
It's an older sense of the word but it checks out. Rebel scum was lying his pants off.
I'm reminded of this interview with Adam Driver.
> Which of the characters that you played... do you feel is the most similar to Adam Driver, the person?" > >“I feel like that character [Kylo] makes sense to me. The family dynamic and desperately wanting family to be part of his life but not getting it. The anxiety and a lot of anger that that creates and that last a lifetime. When we finished that I was like I believe we made that personal.”
What? That's coming straight from DICE.
And if you want more confirmation:
> Instantly unlock the A280-CFE blaster rifle and scope attachment and the Trip Mine epic Star Card.
Meaning you can unlock it later without buying. Straight from the Origin store page.

I love that sequence, it went from "Wait, what" to "WHAT" to laughing out loud to "Star Wars is weird again!" It's the kind of bizarro sequence no other blockbuster would attempt, and it does a great job showing off how weird and solitary Luke has gotten in his time on Ach To.
Here's another writer talking about many of the exact reasons I love this scene: https://kotaku.com/lets-talk-about-the-weirdest-and-best-scene-in-the-la-1821376910
Yeah - like the real deal sound effects. Look for the 20th Anniversary edition on Audible.
I believe you mean the international date line? The first places are Samoa and parts of Kiribati.
The international dateline is also known as the anti meridian meaning the uk is halfway through.

Done. No longer suffer a confusion over puzzling karma values that translate to absolutely nothing important and valuable in the first place. ;]
The artist (Tim Hobday) created a few different drawings like this. The original doesn't specify so unless you contact the artist, I would just refer to it as minimalist.
No its not a reference to Visceral. EA has bought up several companies and run them into the ground and then shut them down. Here since you are probably a shill for EA trying to defend them from a snarky comment you probably won't read the link but here is is anyway.

Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn. It's where I started, and in my opinion some of the best published. What it did better than anything else was capture the adventure and excitement of the star wars movies. It also introduces a good number of characters that you will end up reading about later if you continue to read the books. After that you can read Kevin J. Anderson's trilogy, and then start picking up the singles, like Truce at Bakura, Courtship of Princess Leia, the one with the jedi hutt and luke has a girlfriend ghost. If you decide to skip all those and only read the Thrawn books also read the Thrawn duology which ties up a lot of the stuff from the trilogy that is left open. It isn't left open in a bad way, there is just more stuff that could happen. You will eventually get to the New Jedi Order stuff and then everything else that happened after that, but that is beyond the scope of my recommendations. Also, the links are for the first books, I figure you can figure out the sequels if you end up buying the first books. Also, you can get them for like a dollar at your used book store so don't get them from amazon.
edit: Also, if you have any questions feel free to ask, I read all of the books published by bantam as a child and half the new jedi order series before I gave up and started reading "real" science fiction. Don't take that the wrong way, I enjoyed the star wars books, sometimes one just needs to diversify! I should re-read the thrawn trilogy. :-D
They didn't have that in the prequels, because Lucas wanted the jump from hyperspace to be experienced for the first time in A New Hope, regardless of the order you watch the movies.
Edit: Someone asked for a source to this, so I decided to deliver.
Having the sabers illuminate the environment around them is fucking brilliant and i'm shocked that lucas didn't think of it sooner.
Google NordVPN it's safe and not too expensive. Also, as long as you're running Windows Defender and occasionally do a scan with something like Malwarebytes, you'll probably never encounter malware in your life.
> You should really give the new Star Wars comic a read. ;)
Do you mean only Star Wars (2015-) or also the others (Leia, Vader, Lando...)?
There is a very good Kenobi book that is Kenobi doing things on Tatooine to help people without being found out that he is a Jedi.
I thoroughly suggest a listen (because the narrator, Jonathan Davis, is awesome with Star Wars books). You can tell good stories about Kenobi just being on Tatooine.
You need to make a deviantart account then contact the artist Aaron Whitehead. To the right at the top of his page there is an option to send a note.
First off, thanks to /u/StevenM86 for fixing these for me, I appreciate it! Apologies to anyone bothered by the fact that I'm reposting these again (posted them last week)...but these look much better, so I deleted the old pics and replaced them with these improved ones.

A long time ago, in a galaxy actually quite close... I grew up in Yuma, Arizona (a wretched hive of scum and villainy). My mother was a nurse, and upon moving to the area picked up a job as the nurse for the set crew of "March or Die", an old Gene Hackman film. It turned out that many of the same set crew for that film were also the set crew for Return of the Jedi. When they arrived, they called my mom to ask if she wanted to be the nurse again. Much to my 8-year-old dismay, she had a "legit" job already, so couldn't take this one. However, the crew came to our house for a cookout, and afterwards, invited us to the set after shooting was over.

These pictures are the result of that visit. I thought they were gone for good, but I inherited boxes of slides from my childhood, and in the process of converting them all (several thousand of them) to digital, I found the box that had these included. Now I have proof to all my friends that thought I was full of shit when I told them the story! I hope you enjoy them!

You don't have to go full Sith to grasp the inherent violence of the Ewoks. Just because a PG movie didn't go into graphic details about how it felt to take an Ewok spear to the back of the knee, or to be crushed inside an AT-ST cockpit doesn't mean that they weren't already quite vicious creatures.
I just wish they'd quit that constant, infernal drumming during the night...
We've got a great interview with the game's senior design director, Daniel Erickson.
Check it out here: http://www.mmorpg.com/showFeature.cfm/loadFeature/9747/Chatting-All-Things-Star-Wars-Uprising-with-Daniel-Erickson-.html
It's not old. It was released a few months ago as a "vintage collection".
You can buy one for $16.27
These were the best about 2 years ago when Marc Ecko was making them. I'm shocked how much they've gone up in price. I got mine back in the day, marked down for $20.
Trivial as in a trivial aspect of, not in comparison to. Minute would again be the correct word as the Death Star is not an aspect or detail of the Force.
http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/minutia
http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/minute
Notice that they are not synonyms. They both have the same etymology, deriving from the word minutus, but have different meanings.
The exhaust port was a minutia of the Death Star. A small trivial detail which was overlooked by the Empire and exploited by the Rebellion by an X-Wing; ships that are minute in comparison to the station.
So that's a no
The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod
Kotor II was rushed by LucasArts for a holiday release. As a result, the game is unstable, full of bugs, and has a metric fuckton of cut content. It's honestly not worth playing the game without the mod. I really recommend you do yourself a favour and play with it installed. Turns it from a good game to a great one
Except Lucas knew last year they were going to do another trilogy according to Mark Hamill
http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/11/01/mark-hamill-talks-star-wars-episode-vii
edit: I don't mean to make him out bad, sure he changed our childhood fantasy. He also stopped making films to raise his adopted children on his own.. does shitloads for charity. He is a good man.
Just wanted to hijack this comment to say that there's nothing wrong with his distaste for the films. They still resonate with us, and that's all that matters.
It does happen in the clone wars. You see his eyes start to glow in one scene than revert back. Forgot which episode though.
Well the legs do connect that way in canon, (ROTJ proof) but I will agree that it does look weird in this pose; adds more personality though so I dig it.
EA didn’t have anything to do with 1313. It was canceled when Disney bought LucasFilm and shut down LucasArts.
EA sucks, but that wasn’t their fault.
It's out on Comixology which is where I read it.
And I put (Star Wars: Obi-Wan & Anakin #1) in the title for exactly that reason.
Okay people, I've been re-working the format/size of this little design project for the past couple hours and can now present to you a .zip file that includes:
The new versions have a flat teal background colour so if you don't like the colour it'll be easy to just load the image up in an editing program and move a saturation slider along to suit your preference.
I've put the archive on Gumroad, so it's pay-what-you-want (read: free). Don't feel like you have to give me money, but some people expressed an interest in paying for prints so I thought I'd leave the option open since I am a broke student doing this out of his bedroom. I think you'll get a much more convenient and cheaper deal sourcing your own prints than buying them from me via a third party.
Thanks for all the support (and karma), guys! I may return to this project in the future to add more helmets such as the Scout and and Snow-troopers.
Yep, I made an audio comparison to show the difference.
Bioware still needs to get story material approved by Disney, but Disney hasn't officially said if the game is canon or not. Here's an interview with Bioware that talks about this.

You can always shorten it to only one or two blares with a ringtone maker. That'll make it more text-tone appropriate.
For anyone interested: You can pick up the ultimate edition of the game for 26 bucks (comes with all DLC, etc.)
Here's how:
-Download Hola or any in-browser VPN.
-Go to the store page: (https://www.origin.com/mex/es-mx/store/star-wars/star-wars-battlefront/ultimate-edition) <- that might even work without hola.. not sure.
-Add to cart, should be 52 and change. For the promo code, put origin50.
-When you get to PayPal, turn hola off. It might take you back to origin page, but everything will still be in spanish and the mex prices. Continue normally (remember to put code in again).
Got it myself for $26. :)
Lucasfilm has always had a few employees in charge of keeping track of the EU and trying to keep it all consistent.
But now they have a new official story group, including the former "Keeper of the Holocron".
I think it's true, but not new, Fandango had it listed once the tickets were available for sale. Their time is slightly different at 2hr 16 mins.

I just looked into it and tried this and you can use it. I messed with the settings and slowed it down a bit for effect and it is working great. Someone just needs to improve the size of the cinemagraph to be more vertical than horizontal and it will look great I bet.
I have a Nexus 6 and can attest to it being silky smooth. Give them a try!

Sure, and I’m not particularly familiar with veve, however a few comments on your points.
1) Carbon neutrality is good, but it’s absolutely wasteful to be minting useless and worthless digital pictures that consume more energy than the average us household uses in two weeks. (Source)
2) Disney is just benefitting from the current NFT hype. They are selling you nothing for an exorbitant cost that’s nigh pure profit. They are benefitting massively from the pump n dump strategies that other sites and companies have done, and are just there to cash in on the fad. Unlike other fads like furbys or fidget spinners or even webkinz, when this one ends you won’t even be able to donate your worthless trash to goodwill.
3/4) Like I said, not super familiar with Veve but it’s reviews are not great. Looks like you have to transfer all your money into in app gems that can’t be returned to normal money or even crypto. It’d be more logical to buy clash of clans gems, at least then you can boost your build times! 😂The overall reviews are not great either, people seem exceptionally frustrated with the app as a whole, with many reviewers calling it a scam.
I like how you deliberately didn't put in the whole definition and just one meaning of the word, probably because the entire definition would have shown that your wrong and Rey is an orphan.. Look at no. 6, she was abandoned and as such IS an orphan..
> * 1. a child who has lost both parents through death, or, less commonly, one parent. * 2. a young animal that has been deserted by or has lost its mother. * 3. a person or thing that is without protective affiliation, sponsorship, etc. * 4. bereft of parents. * 5. of or for orphans: an orphans home * 6. not authorised, supported, or funded; not part of a system; isolated; abandoned:

Answer: Unfortunately, the meatbags who developed the game failed to release the DLC for the PC version. However, much of it's content was left in the game's files and has been used in mods such as the Evolution mod. The actual mission itself remains unplayable on PC.
He'll also be one of the top 5-ish shareholders in DIS corp =\
Edit:Maybe I got downvoted for a lack of source, so here you go: Lucas sold his empire for 4.05B, half of which will be paid in DIS stock currently worth 50.08/share giving lucas 40.4M shares. Only 5 other <em>corporations</em> own significantly more than 40M shares.

How far back in time are you willing to go?
If I had to pick 3:
Rebellion
Dark Forces - (DOS)
Some of my favorites:
DOS
Dark Forces
Rebel Assault
TIE Fighter
X-Wing
Windows
Battlefront I and II (FPS w/ multiplayer)
Rebellion (One of my all time favorites. Soooo many hours of my life lost to this one).
Empire at War
Knights of the Old Republic (One of my favorites). OHH SO MUCH FUN!!
X-Wing Alliance - They took the old TIE Fighter / X-Wing series and modernized it. I had a Force Feedback joystick back in the day that just made this aaaweeessome.
Perhaps these mod maps will suffice in the mean time:
He isn't going to be a Force Sensitive or a Jedi/Former Jedi, imo.
In the world of Rogue One, Edwards said the “absence of Jedi is omnipresent”.
The characters in the film realise that the “gods are not coming to save us”, he said. “It comes down to a group of people who don’t have magical powers who band together to bring hope to the galaxy.”
https://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/apr/19/star-wars-rogue-one-plot-jedi-gareth-edwards
Yes, the article is a year old, but I'm going to assume the story holds true.
As much as I love the Jedi, seeing a group of normal people who overcome the odds without magical Force powers would be a really great story and I hope this movie gives us that.
Strange resemblance: http://cache.reelz.com/assets/content/repFrame/63631/departed.jpg
Either one looks far more likely to fall to the dark side than this guy : http://tinypic.com/eipcva.jpg
who looks like he's getting ready to write some dark fan fiction on Myspace.
There's a battery at the bottom of the handle which can be connected to the LED lights which I glued to the top and bottom of the saber. I duct taped the handle for show/ to secure the battery, and the bubble wrap is there to cushion the blow, obviously. I clear taped the whole blade. You have to order the PVC pipe online and I would suggest ordering the lights/3cell batteries from Hobby King. Would you like measurements?
Edit: Let me know if this is a good enough guide, thanks!

Like Nicky mentioned, the first scene is most likely the duel between Luke and Vader.
And I don't think Maz was on Jakku, why would she?...
What's interesting, based on the Wookieepedia, the Force vision allows the user to see in the future, no mention about the past.
Could this be another sign about how powerful Rey is?
Fives removed his chip and lived. Or at least he didn't die as a direct result from removing it. As such, it's completely possible Rex removed his (and lived) if he believed Fives. At this point, we really don't know.
But......if you read this interview with Dave Filoni about Rebels, which takes place well after Order 66, I think he greatly hints at Rex making an appearance in the new show:
The design features Jedha City (with hovering Star Destroyer), an ancient fallen Jedi statue, and the Caverns of Caldera (Saw Gerrera's hideout).

"An executor is someone who is responsible for executing, or following through on, an assigned task or duty."
I always assumed that Vader was responsible for implementing the edicts and policies of the Emperor, and that was why his SSD was given that name.

No spoilers, I'm watching it right now.
I've been using this to track where things are in the new canon:
https://www.audible.com/series/ref=a_search_c4_1_1_1srSrs_sa?asin=B01DJPPUQG
Applies to non audio books as well, though I've been listening to all the audio books.
I very much recommend going through the books in order. They have a tendency to reference each other. Especially the books that were published later.
I do not, however, recommend the Battlefront: Twilight Company book. It can be skipped with ease as the story was not good.
The Aftermath series is a bit hard to get through, but still somewhat enjoyable.
Thrawn is a must read.
Claudia Gray's books are quite good.
Phasma was a bit of a disappointment. Had potential, but they squandered it in how the story was told. Good read though for backstory.
Heir to the Jedi is perfect at telling the story of whiny Luke.
Rogue One: Catalyst is good at backstory for Rogue One.
Rebel Rising is garbage. I get where they were going, but blegh.
Lord of the Sith is pretty good, also handy id you're a fan of Rebels show.
Tarkin is a good read.
Dark Disciple was pretty good, also made a bit better when you realize that it's made off a story from Katie Lucas, and why she wrote it the way she did. Really wish this had made it in to the show. :(
A New Dawn is also pretty good, regardless of whether or not you watch the Rebels cartoon.
Seriously though, if Claudia Gray wrote the book, go pick it up and enjoy it.
Carrie Fisher herself was fooled; Gareth Edwards said that Kathleen Kennedy had shown her the footage, and she thought that the CGI Leia was footage of herself from a take she didn't remember filming that had been manipulated.
We followed a guide similar to this: Lightsaber for $33 in 33 Minutes
Be warned, the parts will probably cost more than the quoted $33. Our first attempt, the parts cost us near $80, but we were also able to make a second 'saber (the shortest of the bunch) out of the scrap from the first hilt.
No, Bioware themselves has said that they don't know if it's canon or not. Everything post-acquisition is canon, and everything apart from the TV show and movies isn't but SWTOR straddles the line.
Nice find! I've seen Battlefront at a Hasting store for $10 in the wrap. I think they're still making DVD's of it.
Still, you got a GREAT deal!
You should check out the Space to Ground map packs for Battlefront II:
Hey, Attack of the Clones is my favorite (tied with ROTJ, actually). Here is my contemporaneous review. https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!original/rec.arts.sf.starwars.misc/CgXjcFk1wqU/8xMrbX67jcIJ
Assuming you want to watch both trilogies, there are issues with both chronological release order (4 5 6 1 2 3) and numerical order (1 2 3 4 5 6).
If you watch it in the order that they were released, the twist at the end of ESB - I am your father - is preserved, but Vader's story as a whole is completely messed with. You get his final redemption halfway through, and your viewing ends on a dark note with his fall and the scattering of the Jedi.
If you watch them in numerical order, you know right away that Vader is Luke's father, that Leia is his sister, and you also have an odd regression in technology between 3 and 4. However, it does properly have Anakin's fall before his redemption, and it ends with the bad guys being defeated.
Enter the Machete Order, 4 5 1 2 3 6. You get the initial wonder of the galaxy, the setup of this big bad empire, the Emperor introduced in ESB as this looming, far-off figure, and the big reveal unspoiled. Then, you go back and see how we came to this point. Basically, one big "holy shit, Vader is Luke's father? How did this happen? How did we get here?" flashback. And then once you've seen how Anakin Skywalker turned into Vader, you conclude with the good guys winning, the return of the Jedi, and Anakin's redemption.
Narratively, it gives all six movies the best arc.
FWIW, there's an incredible blog series where HitFix's Drew McWeeny documented watching all six movies in Machete Order with his two kids for the first time, and they loved it. This has links to all six in order. Must-read for any SW fan, IMO.
What's the conspiracy theory? That a multibillion dollar company would pay people just above minimum wage (or outsource to Eastern Europeans for even cheaper) to make positive comments about their product in concentrated areas of fans on the internet? Is that any more of a conspiracy theory than, say, big tobacco companies paying off doctors in the 50s to tell people that smoking was not dangerous? It's already happening on reddit in political forums. Are you that naive to think its beyond the realm of possibility that it's happening commercially as well?
Did you watch The Clone Wars movie first? It is listed separately from the series on Disney+ (for some reason), but is the proper start to the series - it was basically what would have been the first three episodes of the show combined into a movie and released theatrically ahead of the start of the show on TV.
I totally forgot about the debt, that makes it that much worse. Interest on an item that has depreciated walking out the door by prolly 25-50%
If you want to more sentimental have you considered making your own rings? Cant get much more personal and one of a kind than something you make for each other.

Sorry, but, here, one of the definitions of hermetic according to the merriam-webster:
b: relating to or characterized by subjects that are mysterious and difficult to understand: relating to or characterized by occultism or abstruseness: recondite <a hermetic discussion>
What is the year on that? Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm pretty sure that's either from 1990 or 1992. The original VHS's would look like this:
http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/14/george-lucas-officially-announces-star-wars-on-blu-ray-in-2011/
"While the "highest picture and audio quality" and extensive special features are promised, what won't make it to Blu-ray are the original versions of the movies; Lucas told the New York Times that only the special editions will be included, since restoring the original versions in high enough quality would cost too much."
NYT link: http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/08/14/star-wars-films-coming-to-blu-ray-next-year/
The original theatrical version isn't going to be blu ray. From Lucas's mouth. Or is that not official enough for you?
It works fine for me now. They must have fixed it.

You might enjoy a mini series on Netflix about toys. Episode 1 is the star wars line up story from the beginning to current time

The game Knights of the Old Republic is definitely a great place to start. The entire game takes place in the years following the Mandalorian War. You even get a Mandalorian mercenary as a teammate. The second game in the series you get to learn even more as you play a Jedi who served as a general in the war and even help out some Mandalorians trying to unite on Dxun, a jungle moon that was home to some of the deadliest fighting in the war. The bits of the culture and lifestyle you get to see are just awesome. They're literally the Spartans of the Star Wars universe. And in the KOTOR universe especially they're always reminiscing or trying to relive the glory days of the Mandalorian War, and the fear is
As chance would have it, you can get them both along with Republic Commando in this Humble Bundle.
No, Coruscant was not the capital of the New Republic at that time. It was the Hosnian system that was destroyed.

You can also find all the new canon Star Wars comics on Comixology. They have an Unlimited option too for $5.99. The newest ones still have to be bought as they come out, but it looks like most, if not all, of the Star Wars titles eventually become available to read for free if you're already paying for Unlimited.
I think that the timeframe is something like a week. This is one proponent of the ESB "1 Week" theory.
Edit: After reading the comment above, I just wanted to say that the only way people figure the time frame was only a week is just evedence from the movie's edit. Has nothing to do with relativity or special relativity. But using science to explain it is definitely way more cool.
His tracks is always amazing in both The Clone Wars and Rebels. Every episode there's usually a part where I say to myself, "Wow, that's pretty awesome music."
Also, I found this a while back. It's not mine, but it contains a good amount of Rebels Season 1's audio queues. It's really good.
yes I'm sure he left his job at Obsidian to write one origin story in D:OS2
no this is just chris doing freelance work as he has started recently, as you can see on his linkedin he set his current employment to "various"

Judging by the quotes in the article, I'm assuming that by "level of success", they meant it wasn't making enough money to be worth their time.
If you have an iPad, download the Marvel Comics app from the App Store and you can buy them for download to the app. They have this great Guided View option which makes for a great reading experience. You can also get it for the iPhone or an Android phone, just a smaller screen.
Failing that, you can buy them online through:
and read them on your computer.
You can sync the apps with that site and get your comics across all devices.
> I just want to point out: If Keanu Davis is making and selling artwork using the Star Wars IP himself, he's just as much a thief as the people stealing his art. You can't sell things that are based on someone else's intellectual property and make a profit on it. Not legally, anyway.
He's not selling the artwork. Here's his website: https://dribbble.com/KDaesthetic
EDIT: Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't copyright just an inherent property of newly-created art/writing/etc. Even though Keanu doesn't have rights to sell his art, as it's not licensed, he still holds the copyright to his work. No one else can copy his work without his permission, correct?
I've definitely heard or read the suggestion that Valerian may have been an influence on Star Wars. Possibly in The Art of Star Wars? I don't have my copy handy to check.
Synchronicity Alert: Having heard about this influence years and years ago, I'd always wanted to read some of the comics, but not many were available in English. However, the 2007 French/Japanese anime series Time Jam: Valerian & Laureline is now available on Hulu, and I just started watching it this weekend. I'm three episodes in, and it's just OK so far -- a little too cute.
As long as you have seen Attack of the Clones, you are good to go. Nothing really happens between Attack of the Clones and the series. Just make sure you include The Clone Wars movie. Begin with that if you are gong through in in release order or put it in the appropriate place if you decide on chronological order.
The image is from the cover of a new official Star Wars book, I follow the artists who worked on it on Behance and found it there. It seems legit!
edit: It can also be just the artist's interpretation of the new looks and has nothing to do with the movie, I don't know.
i see references to ebay, but can't find any. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePH8bxuoQ0w
but i think there are cheaper ones.
I mean if you enjoyed it, that's all that matters. I wouldn't let other people's opinions spoil your fun.
That said, you wrote:
>Also, I wasn't alive when the original trilogy came out, so I never felt nostalgia as such, and never compared the original trilogy to the sequel trilogy, and watched the sequel trilogy with a completely open mind. Could that have something to do with it?
I would say yes, this has a lot to do with it.
Do you have Disney+? If so, see if you can watch <em>Empire of Dreams</em>. It's the documentary about George Lucas and the creation of the original Star Wars trilogy.
I think after you watch that, you'll get a sense of what it was like growing up with the OT and what Star Wars means to us older fans. Then you can compare Disney's trilogy to Lucas's movies, and see for yourself whether the ST was true to Lucas's vision for Star Wars or not.
Again, there's nothing wrong with liking the ST if you do. But watching the documentary might help you understand why other people didn't like it.
Hope that helped.
It's not really an exact science, but here's a general definition from MasterClass:
>A treatment is a document that presents the story idea of your film before writing the entire script. Treatments are often written in present tense, in a narrative-like prose, and highlight the most important information about your film, including title, logline, story summary, and character descriptions.
For our purposes, a "summary" for each film.
