Actually, it's not the BBC that estimates this - that percentage comes from the US Department of Veteran Affairs. In addition to the book mentioned in the article, there's also a documentary on the same subject being released later this month: The Invisible War, by the makers of This Film Is Not Yet Rated.
Well at least the trailer is out now. Looks pretty good.
Edit: Ah, they took the page down again. It was put up early.
Edit2: Someone put it on youtube.
I can rent a movie on iTunes and begin streaming it right after I press purchase. The screen caps I got was from their movie trailer website. If you compare the World of Warcraft trailer on Youtube to the one on iTunes, it's a noticeable difference, even with the color.
Secondary mirror in case the youtube ones go down. Use those first as this is an ftp server
Optionally, just watch it at http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/paramount/startrekintodarkness/, where it can also be downloaded. Mov format though and requires quicktime unless you have qtalternative.
It varies from project to project.
More often than not yes, we get to watch the whole movie (and do so hundreds of times over) long before it's in theaters. Though it's not unheard of for a film to still be in post-production and missing music, VFX, etc. and the distributor is still figuring out how they want to market it.
Hell, sometimes what we're working with is an early rough cut or just a bunch of unedited dailies. This happens a lot with indies that haven't yet found a distributor: we create a sort of mock-trailer with the rough cut that shows a potential distributor how the film could be presented to the public once it's finished.
Does this ruin the movies for us? Not at all. I like to think that cutting a trailer means being a good film student. So if it's a film that you can really sink your teeth into, it's an absolute pleasure to watch it over and over and dissect its themes, the characters, and so on.
We recently did the trailer for a film like this, Blue Ruin and I'd gladly watch that film 100 more times.
Not sure why this is not getting more love, the teaser trailer was one of the most upvoted links in the last few months. I think this movie looks amazing and is going to be a big hit for Pixar once again, at least critically.
Apple has the US trailer here: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/disney/insideout/ More or less the same, but they replace soccer with hockey in the day dream sequence.
Had plans to see a movie with a friend this Friday and we just changed our theater because one of these is in our area. I'll be the hero this sub needs.
Edit: Hey friends, so I'm probably not going to go to the theater tonight once I heard they were releasing the trailer online! Here it is! Better quality than I could have provided and about 12 hours earlier than I would have been able to post it! If I end up at the movies anyway, I'll bootleg one for you guys <3
Tree of Life. I watched it once and cried. Was fearful of the movie's potential, and my own hype. Avoided watching the trailer again at all costs. Saw the movie. Lost my shit completely.
I can't fucking wait for Moonrise Kingdom. I've loved every single one of Wes Anderson's films, and god the trailer looks amazing. OP doesn't have the trailer but here it is if anyone is interested- link
The Dark Knight Rises will be epic, and I also can't wait for the Hobbit. Those are probably my top 3 films that I can't wait to see.
Speechless as usual. Just like Obama after I destroyed him in the debates because they asked a question about marijuana and I took a diarrhea dump in my pants with joy. I won the presidency by default immediately after the 9,001 redditor upvoted the quote I made on r/politics. Now, back to my story. So the bombs are a bangin and a hootin, and Im running down the halls of the White House. Alfred is waiting.
“Hello Mr. Wayne.”
“Hello Alfred. Is everything ready?”
“Yes sir.”
And so, the Dark Knight was in Gotham again. That was when I shoved one of those bat things up Hu Jintao’s anus and America was free again. Thanks for listening to my story y'all.
In a few hours (hopefully less), it'll be on http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/prometheus/ in HD. And then I assume it'll make its away over to YouTube shortly after. I can't wait, it looks amazing.
edit: it's up now
Even by American standards 2015 was pretty stupid. Go Team.
In case you haven't seen the trailer yet, I'll save you a Google search...
I absolutely love him in the indie movie "Brick", It's a cross between high school drama and film noir thriller. Wonderfully acted in a piece that could have easily been over the top. Mad props to the director of photograph for all the flowing hues too, with some bokeh effect tossed in for good measure.
Go ahead you heathens, look it up!
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/focus_features/brick/
[edit to add trailer link for heathens]
It's the original source at Apple.com:
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/gameofthrones/
I downloaded it with JDownloader. However, since then, it's become available to download directly on HD Trailers.com:
I implore you all to check out the trailer from whence this cinemagraph came. I had to flip one side of the water for the other since it wasn't looping properly, and that made me upset because that rushing water was one of the things that made this particular shot of the trailer so damned beautiful. This is one of my most anticipated films of the year.
I've spent a ton of time with Tom and Jen and they are honestly two of the most humble down to earth persons I know. Ive done a lot of photography for Jens design company and I directed the LOVE movie.. http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/love2011/ )
Why do my posts always do this... http://t.co/6eM3XR6
I click submit link, supply my URL, supply a title and click submit but the URL never appears anywhere...
Edit: New Direct Link (edit 480p to change quality): http://trailers.apple.com/movies/wb/harrypotterandthedeathlyhallowspart2/hp7part2-tlr2_480p.mov
One of the most underrated films of the past few years. Jean Claude Van Damme plays himself caught up in a bank heist. The movie is incredibly stylized, well shot, brilliant direction, self aware, sometimes funny, suspenseful.. Has some amazing long shots, one of the best intros I can think of, and a monologue that will make you shit brix.
Movie lovers need to see this.
Licensing rights. The more popular ones will cost more money, as Netflix doesn't want to pay that much, they pay the lesser fee that allows them to have it on DVD.
Also, streaming, especially Netflix & YouTube is pretty crappy. 1080p Netflix is a max of 5.8Mbps, DVD reaches 9.8Mbps, Blu-ray of course is even higher.
Watch the latest Suicide Squad trailer in 1080p on Youtube, it is pretty indistinguishable from the 480p version on iTunes/Apple, their 1080p version then is of course much better.
EDIT: I just made a small album between both 1080p versions, you can clearly see which is which. Now imagine the Blu-ray and even the theater version. Even the 480p iTunes version does not have the obvious banding seen in pic #3.
If anyone wants to see the trailer with >4x the bitrate, here is the trailer on iTunes' website.
For any Windows users, it may download, if you don't want that, go here.
You can actually see the snow falling in the background in the first scene, which is hardly visible in the YouTube trailer.
I wrote and directed a film called MORNING, which came out last year, and is available on iTunes: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/morning/
It starred my wife, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Elliot Gould is in it, and Laura Linney, and Jason Ritter, and Kyle Chandler, and it's a very poignant story about a married couple dealing with a family tragedy.
The types of roles I seek are epitomized in the role I play in FAULTS. A great story, a great script, a great director, great producers, great actors as collaborators, I love that the character I play, Ansel Roth, is a deeply flawed individual looking for meaning and salvation in his own life. Basically, what I look for in roles (big OR small) is good writing. And this role, and this script, and this film, have it all. It starts out as a dark comedy, moves into a drama, and ends up on with on-the-edge-of-your-seat thriller.
Unbelievably, this is STILL online. Ellen Page's breakthrough movie The Tracey Fragments. ALL the footage from the movie was put up by the Director on Bittorrent a few years back as the basis of a remix contest. This is the kind of opportunity you dream of..to cut a Hollywood Feature Film... HAVE AT IT !
Dark Shadows is a 1960s Gothic Soap Opera. It wasn't really a comedy during its time- but things happened in the show that I found funny.
However, I don't think its a parody of itself at all. That is Tim Burton's style. He does experimental filmmaking and he does it well. It's always like a dream. A magical dream. All great directors like working with talent that understands them and the story they want to tell. Wes Anderson has a new movie coming out called Moonrise Kingdom. He likes to use some of the same actors in his films...and his films have a distinct style too. You cant ask a director like Tim Burton to direct a movie like Die Hard. Its not his style. You wouldn't ask Christopher Nolan to direct The Shining.
edit: spelling/grammar
I'm probably going to get downvoted to hell for this one, but for me it was this Pineapple Express trailer. I don't hate the movie by any means, but that trailer convinced me that it was going to be way more awesome than it actually was. I'm pretty sure I watched it at least 300 times before the movie came out. I think it's the MIA song that really sells it.
Their 1080p (2.35:1 aspect ratio, not 16x9) 24fps is usually at best 2.5Mbps. Which is less than 1/10 that of 1080p Blu-ray.
Go to http://trailers.apple.com/, and compare them to the YouTube trailers, some are very noticeable in quality.
Animated Films have more detail (more voxels, which are 3-D pixels, if you didn't know), lighting effects, shaders, etc. As others have mentioned, some 3-D animated movies from as far back as the early 90's outdo many games today. Games are optimized to run on consumer grade hardware, animated films are created on workstations that might be more expensive than your car, and are designed to run on 4k theater resolutions. A modern 3-D animated game title only has to run on, at minimum, a $350 piece of hardware.
For Example:
Toy Story 3 Movie: http://trailers.apple.com//705/us/media/galleries/disney/toystory3/toystory3_img10_720.jpg
Toy Story 3 Game: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4031/4563716417_1fddd7cee0.jpg
Pretty big difference if you ask me.
tl;dr: Games have to run on consumer-grade hardware, and render based on actions in the game. Movies are made and pre-rendered on professional-grade workstations, with more power, therefore, they can have more detail, but take longer to render.
This video just went down, here's the Apple Trailers link:
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/gonegirl/
Fox will probably keep taking down mirrors, just fyi. It's an exclusive trailer debut for Apple I belive.
It has already been killed!? I had just watched it before I scrolled down and pasted it to you! (it was still open in a tab!)
Yeah, I don't get it, either. Preview = get pumped up about the movie. Plus it's already out of the box.
Edit: It seems to still be up on the apple site which is fucking terrible. Anyway, I'm blaming them.
Def one of my favorite movies. As soon as I watched the trailer for "The Adjustment Bureau" I was reminded of Dark City and belted out to my wife they stole this idea! Maybe I am wrong though...
Why? What is the benefit over just going to YouTube or http://trailers.apple.com/? I get that Apple got involved with trailers at one time to show off the Quicktime codec, but do people really care that much about trailers that it needs to its own app?
Subscribers: this is a good example of when the Movieclips channel is useful. This trailer debuted exclusively at the Apple.com trailers page so they simply grabbed the original file and uploaded it to their channel, which is quite useful as Apple.com needs Quicktime nonsense.
Here's the original Apple link. http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/ratchetclank/
I really champion Alex Ross Perry to people I know. 'Queen of Earth' looks pretty incredible. The trailer is soaked in such mid- '80s thriller vibes: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/ifcfilms/queenofearth/
I believe Andrew Kramer was behind the titles for the film Super 8. Also, the Video Copilot plugin Optical Flares was used non-stop throughout that film.
This was the best I could find on short notice from the film (a trailer, shows the titles/use of optical flares): http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/paramount/super8/
EDIT: Also, since they are high school kids they may be familiar with the YouTube channel Crash Course. It is an educational channel and is used by a lot of high school kids for a reasonably enjoyable way to study at home for some subjects. I believe all of the animation is done in After Effects by Thought Café.
Since its been removed, you can see the source here...
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/paramount/startrekintodarkness/
Why do people take trailers from Apple and upload them to Youtube? Is there an advantageous reason for them to do this?
EDIT : click the download link, instead of "watch now" then you can open it with Chrome, or another HTML5 player without installing Quicktime.
Park Chan Wook is directing a new movie, with american actors and filmed in english...it looks like it will be amazingly bizarre in a deep way.
Don't get me started with that movie. I'm a huge fan of horror and nearly everything I've seen hasn't given me nightmares. The only thing that used to freak me out when I was little was Pumpkinhead. Now it doesn't freak me out at all, but when The Grudge was released I saw it opening night.
The trailers intrigued me. I want to be a screenwriter and write horror so this would be another great film to learn from, I thought. At the end of that film I was shaking.
I don't know why shit like this scares me. There's a movie being made right now called Mama. I expect it to turn me into a little girl in the theater.
Haha you do have a reason to be shy (I'm a guy too) but at the end of the day, it's a beauty salon. It's not your grandma and your folks won't be waiting for you outside the door. Coincidentally, this highly relevant movie trailer was posted on r/malegroming yesterday.
Nope! Just figure out the URL to the video, (sometimes you need to add a letter h before the 1080p in the URL) then use the fabulous wget. Add the -U parameter (user agent) and add the text "QuickTime". Example:
wget -U QuickTime http://trailers.apple.com/path/video_trl1_h1080p.mov
>Based on a true story, Moneyball is a movie for anybody who has ever dreamed of taking on the system. Brad Pitt stars as Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland A's and the guy who assembles the team, who has an epiphany: all of baseball's conventional wisdom is wrong. Forced to reinvent his team on a tight budget, Beane will have to outsmart the richer clubs. The onetime jock teams with Ivy League grad Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) in an unlikely partnership, recruiting bargain players that the scouts call flawed, but all of whom have an ability to get on base, score runs, and win games. It's more than baseball, it's a revolution - one that challenges old school traditions and puts Beane in the crosshairs of those who say he's tearing out the heart and soul of the game.
I get the feeling that this is the kind of thing you can't really change too easily. Unless you're one of the Wayans.
The poor visual/sound quality really threw me off on this one.
Watch it in HQ at Apple's website: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/wb/harrypotterandthedeathlyhallowspart2/
Huge difference just in terms of sound, and we all know that HP trailers have awesome soundtracks.
You forgot to add Cyrus. Mix of drama and comedy and one of the more underrated movies of last year, mostly because he can pull off the dramatic side. He hasn't turned into Will Ferrell yet.
So do you think Harry Potter is a Nazi? After all he appeared on a video screen in white supremacy attire and is clearly seen here doing a Nazi salute.
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/imperium/images/thumbnail_24641.jpg
Say, if you got a bunch of paid agitators to walk around sieg-heiling and chanting inflammatory slogans while waving flags reminiscent of the Third Reich, you could then smear all nationalists and more generally all pro-white advocates as Nazis and cause them to be even more resented and pilloried.
Wow, I was able to think of that simple yet effective plan and I'm not even a NWO elite think-tank.
This is going to be a real mental tour de force for some people, but just because you see "Nazis" marching around on television doesn't mean there's necessarily a rising Fourth Reich in America.
Oh my God! Harry Potter is a Nazi!
Oh wait, that's just a movie, it's not reality. I guess not everything that's a moving image on a screen is not necessarily a 100% accurate depiction of real life.
So, I'm not really for this, however I have occasionally thought that the first group to develop high-quality, massive-scale holographic projection (if such a thing were possible), would have quite a lot of influence on the population if they could keep it under wraps during development...
If anyone else happened to agonize over exactly who the kid looks like as his face falls at 1.37, I've got you.
Jeremy Chabriel from Partisan.
In the first movie, some make a trip to the store, IIRC. One wears a dress.
http://pre12.deviantart.net/4a1e/th/pre/i/2013/223/7/7/kissing_minions__by_theladyinred002-d6hoz64.jpg Supposedly an official wallpaper. And when I Google Images for "despicable me wallpaper" and restrict it to 2010, I keep getting that image, indicating that it's genuine. Such as a Gallery image on the Apple Trailers page.
didnt think of that.. but no.. It was released today. (and yeah yall can watch here)
maybe they want it at certain places so they can count viewers.. idk.. still seems dumb.

Clearly Ultimate Ultron. Take a look at his head and you'll notice the triangular cut outs for his eyes. Also his chest plate seems similar to the image OP gave
Edit:
Furthermore. Prime is shiny, like here and here.
Whereas Ultimate has a more matte finish. See OP's image and the one I screencapped of Ultron lifting his arm.
Edit 2:
I'll take Gold if /u/DasMuse doesn't want it
I made some recently for Exodus:
http://instagram.com/ExodusMovie
Nothing too fancy but might give you an idea since they involve interviews/graphics/broll/film footage.
Most of these were cut down from longer interviews such as these ones from the Apple trailers page:
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/exodusgodsandkings/
Not sure how much that helps, but take a look and I can walk you through some of the process if you'd like (although 90% of it was client direction).
If you don't mind Quicktime: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/exodusgodsandkings/
If you do mind Quicktime, then this is the direct link to the .mov file on itunes: http://movietrailers.apple.com/movies/fox/exodus/exodus-tlr1w7jno_h640w.mov
Download and play in something like VLC.
It's iTunes exclusive. This will get pulled too if it gets enough attention.
But my iTunes link was downvoted because you can't play it on page in RES I'm assuming. So, we'll be doing this dance all night I guess.
There is a movie about this coming out called the Transcendence staring Johnny Depp that is based off this kind of idea of "is it still him?".
I think you should check out the trailer, I linked it below.
Paramount issues a copyright claim to take down a TRAILER from YouTube. A trailer is a god damned ADVERTISEMENT for your movie. It generates interest, and makes people want to see it. WTF, Paramount?
Obligatory Mirror, not that a Google search won't bring it up in 3 seconds.
for folks who want to download the damn thing and play it in something other than Quicktime.
He doesn't always do a great job of posting the research, but if you leave a comment Mike Gittleson should respond. Guy's a legend in NCAA athletics/strength training, and since he's retired he's spent nearly 100% of his time researching. If not, I have his personal email address.
Also, this documentary is beginning to make the rounds. Expect football to change big time in the next 5-10 years. (From lawsuits, not internally.) Also, see this.
Direct neck training is important. A big deal, in fact. Do it.
Grand National, a car I will always lust for. Friends dad has one 610 at the wheels. Absolute monster. Mandatory clip for the new documentary coming out on them. http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/blackairthebuickgrandnationaldocumentary/#share
THANK you. The one I wanted to watch, link didn't work, copy/paste yields this http://trailers.apple.com/movies/marvel/theavengers/avengers-aus-7c7b7a-tlr2_h1080p.mov - which redirects to somewhere useless. How hard can it be to simply link a movie file?
My bad, I failed at copy pasting your link. Try this:
wget -U "QuickTime/7.6.2" http://trailers.apple.com/movies/wb/thehobbit1/thehobbit-tlr1_h720p.mov
My apologies, somehow the "/t" disappeared. I double checked this link myself and it worked for me.
That is not a teaser for Apollo 18 as far as I can tell. That is a crazy conspiracy theory about a secret Apollo 20 mission. I found the video along with random copypasta on a bunch of different sites. It has nothing to do with the film, some random person just posted it with 18 under the title. It even says "Apollo 20" in the video.
All of the actual trailers are here. And they all match the film pretty well.
So whatever movie sites linked those to you were wrong. I couldn't find any articles on several film sites that included that video.
In that case, you should at LEAST take a look at this trailer. The movie is quite intense and not so much action-driven as the trailer might make it seem. You should see it for yourself and decide if it's something for you. I found it deeply moving and if you have anything for photography/cinematography: This movie is off the chart. It's thát well done.
Edit: Then MAYBE I should add the trailer-url.
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/cityoflifeanddeath/
[EDIT: It has been blocked on YouTube. Here's the link to Apple Trailers.]
Is it just me or does this look more like a parody of fantasy movies?
And it seems like they chose to concentrate more on Charlize Theron than Kristen Stewart on this trailer. Not that I can blame them for that.
Can you play Movie Trailers from the Apple website?
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/
If yes, you should be able to play the ones from MLG also. It means, there is a different problem.
If not, look for a guide that can make you play Movie Trailers from the Apple website and that should fix the shit from the MLG website as well.
I've got a feeling that totem-plugin can fix your problem but if it will conflict with Ubuntu codecs, I'm not sure if it work.
I forgot what codecs Ubuntu use so I can't help you with that department.
If you can go into a mac store, go to the apple trailers site.
Load up the same vid and play on two mbp's side by side.
You'll probably know which one to choose right away.
I like being able to sit outside with my computer, so it's non glossy.
It's great to be able to wipe clean a glass screen though. If you're doing any sort of design or photography, I think the colors are slightly more accurate on the matte.
Some one else has said glossy is more accurate, but I'm not sure. Probably worth some more research.
enjoy!
I first learnt about the movie from Apple and then saw Ryan Connolly from FilmRiot talk about it, but sadly, he mentioned it being a limited release. Add to this the factor that I'm in India, so I'll probably never get to see it in theaters.
It's Enter the Void, it won all the major film festivals a couple of years ago, it's by the guy who did Irreversible back in 2003, the one with the famous rape scene
It was released in full around the world, and with reel 7 missing in America, but I actually prefer the American edit, because I think reel 7 presents some problems for me in terms of characterization (also pacing) a lot like Apocalypse Now Redux did with the plantation scene
TL;DR great fucking arthouse movie
It was certainly better than Terminator 3.
Here: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/wb/terminatorsalvation/large3.html
Do you remember the first time you saw this trailer? How badass it looked? How maybe, just maybe, it could be as good as Terminator 2, only set after Judgement Day? I remember posting in the Reddit thread for the trailer, how awesome it looked. Then I saw the movie. The movie wasn't terrible, but it wasn't that great. I walked away thinking I enjoyed the trailer more than the movie.
Enter the Void. It came out last year and I finally got around to watching it about a week ago. I think it's the most revolutionary movie since 2001 and is not getting nearly the attention it deserves. It's on Netflix Instant. Watch it.
Hey, how about posting the link to the Apple website for this, rather than a youtube copy of a copy. The quality was decent however, you can get HD versions easier on the Apple trailers site.
This link provides a much better quality clip.
There's talk of a "premium video on demand" service for new release movies still in theaters, priced at about $30. For Hollywood it's a win, and for families such as the OP it's a win. It's obviously a lose for the theaters but I don't see that they have any clout left to stop it. They are dying a death of a thousand cuts from shortening dvd release windows, PPV on planes/at hotels/etc. I was watching this trailer over on Apple for some foreign film called 13 Assassins and it splashed up on the screen at the end, "March 25th On Demand Everywhere, April 29th In Theaters". I remember the Steven Soderbergh/Sasha Grey film "The Girlfriend Experience" experimented with a similar release, available on dvd and on-demand and in theaters all on the same day. So it has been independent films with hopes of wide distribution otherwise but I believe we will see more and more movies available for home viewing at the same time as or immediately after their theater release.
Hell yeah for the Mr Oizo love. A few days ago I came across the preview for an independent French film he is doing the soundtrack for, called Rubber. It is a story about a rubber tire that is alive and kicking.
Thank you for your kind words.
As to the subject, the other response to your comment is, more or less, correct.
Thanks again. In this subreddit particularly, a comment, of almost any sort, is worth a thousand upvotes.

I dunno about you mate, but some of those movies look interesting.. Although these are my personal tastes..
OK, that's done! Sorry it took me so long to reply again, but it took the http://trailers.apple.com/trailers.cer finally, but now when I go to trailers to jailbreak, it says "#etason Come back on ATV3 12H876."
I have the apple TV 3 model A1427, does this work on that? Because when I type the http://trailers.apple.com/trailers.cer, it says "error 109, unable to add profile. Please check the url and try again." The DNS is set to 046.166.144.059 like what is needed, but it's not working.
Ok good, go to settings and WiFi and click on yours and then go into settings, write down IPAddress incase it’s different because doing wireless.
Go to DNS and change to 046.166.144.059
Then go back to send data to Apple and press play and add profile and clear what’s already there and enter: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers.cer
Then go back to home screen
Shouldn’t be getting error, I’ve just done this morning as I’ve got new guide I’ll be doing to Install Kodi 14.2 onto user space and was making sure works.
Changing DNS manually to 046.166.144.059
And pressing play on send data to Apple and adding http://trailers.apple.com/trailers.cer should work properly every time
Maybe restore your Apple TV if you don’t know how I can tell you ?
Might be your router settings blocking dns
Note: I make every effort to programatically figure out if links originally posted to Reddit are still good, but it's difficult.
If the original URL doesn't work, or has been replaced with something else, please help out by searching the Wayback Machine for the URL and posting a contemporary link if you find one. There's also a Chrome Extension which makes this process easy.
As I said, Ihave a 58" plasma with seating at 8ft, even when doing A|B comparisons, the difference between 720p and 1080p for videos and pictures was minuscule, certainly unnoticeable if just enjoying content. Now, that was with bitrates and compression at a decently scalable ratio (1080p having 2.25x the pixels, so the same for bitrate and file size). If you are trying to compare 720p on YouTube to a 1080p Blu-ray, then of course; a 480p iTunes movie trailer looks similar to a 1080p movie trailer on YouTube.
True. I also prefer to watch movie trailers on Apple's site as the bitrate is usually >4x. The 480p trailer for Suicide Squad on there looks similar to the 1080p version on YouTube.
http://trailers.apple.com/ is one of the only places to find high bitrate trailers, they usually are 4x that of YouTube.
Go watch the latest The Suicide Squad trailer on both sites, the 480p version on Apple's looks the same as the 1080p YouTube version.
Agree on all points.
A couple of the shots in this new trailer look like they're taken from San Andreas the movie. This does not at all jibe with the excellent Mirror's Edge 1. The trailer shows very little first person gameplay, and what little there is shows......explosions? Zip lines? Combat? Where is the high-flying death-defying yet casual parkour and acrobatics? Why is there so much 3rd person view in the trailer? Have they not fixed the animations and camera movement, with 3 months left to go?
The emotional character stuff looks too melodramatic for my taste. I don't need my game be a "movie". Especially not my Mirror's Edge games. I just need great parkour-adventure-action-mechanics and a wonderfully crafted interactive environment.
You and u/JPurdy post waaaaaay too close together! Syncronicity?
Should be a good movie!
Vote Bernie!!!! 🇺🇸
I screamed that at a Panera. It was weird... lol
Alright I think that my time is dwindling here, thank you to everyone who asked a question I appreciate your support, and I hope you get a chance to see the movie!
Now is the part where I plug the film.... http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/thewalkingdeceased/

Dead Silence is possibly my favorite horror movie. It is pure nightmare fuel, especially with that haunting poem.
Beware the stare of Mary Shaw.
She had no children, only dolls.
If you see her in your dreams, be sure you never, ever scream
or she'll rip your tongue out at the seam.
I'm betting on http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/disney/starwars7/. Based on how iTunes does syntax with other sequels, for example: http://movietrailers.apple.com/trailers/universal/pitchperfect2/ where they use a number in the URL.
Click the link, look in the upper right corner, that will be a link to the trailer on the iTunes Trailers website, sure traders are available on iTunes itself, but iTunes Trailers is an App for iOS and is also this website. As far as anyone knows, no there isn't a deal, that would be stupid. Apple and Disney just have a long standing relationship mostly because Pixar was cofounded by Steve Jobs and when Disney bought them, Jobs got a seat on Disney's Board of Directors.
The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears
might be difficult to find for a little while, hopefully it'll be released on some sort of VOD soon. also All Is Lost
>Hi. My name is Clark Gregg. When I died my first name was Agent, then they brought me back as an agent named Phil, but now you can call me Director Coulson. I've been Julia's ex-husband, President Bartlett's FBI liaison, and a host of agents of something. My latest film, Trust Me, is about a loser agent for child actors, and stars me, and even better, Amanda Peet, Sam Rockwell, Allison Janney, Molly Shannon, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, Neicey Nash... in fact, what are you doing here? It's available on-demand, iTunes, Xbox, PS3, you name it. And it's in theaters Friday June 6. You should be watching it now. There are a LOT of settings, you can most certainly use local files of trailers you have saved. I haven't looked into streaming trailers for movies in your library that are unwatched, but that sounds super interesting and I would love that to be an option...
However the settings I use connect to http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/ and play 2 random movies, any two (and I have them set to not replay trailers, so if i watch 4 movies in 4 nights, no two trailers will repeat, not even randomly). You can also set trailers to be similar to the movie type you are watching: eg If you are watching a Action Comedy, it will stream 2 action comedy movie trailers.
It's pretty neat!
You need to add Europa Report and North Sea, Texas to this list.
Europa Report is a fantastically realistic and beautifully well done movie about a trip to....wait for it....Europa. It's filmed in the "Archived Security Footage" style, but its done very well. Part space, part sci-fi, part alien adventure, part psychological thriller. Check it out.
North Sea, Texas is a foreign gay romantic drama set in Belgium. Basically two (male) childhood friends fall in "love", but gradually the friend of the main character grows apart from Pim (main character), so Pim begins to fall in love with a mysterious stranger that is passing through town. etc. etc. They are a bit more progressive where it was filmed, and there are (short and un-revealing) sex scenes between the two main characters who are around the age of 16 for the majority of the film. You don't actually see anything. It's one of those "shirts come off, actors go out of view of camera, scene cuts" type of deals, but it's implied.
I have a problem with QuickTime player as well, that sounds similar to yours. Specifically, if I go to http://trailers.apple.com, choose a trailer, and try to download it, it usually doesn't work (though watch now to view right in the browser does work). When I try to download the video, sometimes QuickTime launches but doesn't start downloading the movie (nor does it even open a window). Sometimes it does launch and download. It seems to me that this usually happens if I've recently rebooted. I don't think the problem is due to the interference of other applications, as I only have Safari and iChat running at the moment and it isn't working. The machine has been running for a few days now though, and at times has had a lot of applications running simultaneously.
I am running the current Mountain Lion (so 10.8.2) on an early 2008 iMac, with 4 GB RAM, the latest versions of QuickTime (10.2) and Safari (6.0.2).
More versions on the iTunes Movie Trailers website Star Trek page, including a Japanese subtitled version with more footage and a huge spoiler.
