That's a really good idea. I already printed out a batch of envelopes.
Which direction should I go from here?
Hey, Redditors! On the second floor of the Rhino that night, Toronto Lindy Hop is bringing in Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns for a night of blues dancing. It's $10, DJs start at 8 with live music starting at nine. It's going to be really awesome. Here's the Facebook event if you'd like some more info!
Also, since I'm a newbie, I'll show up early to meet other Redditors :) Woo!
>Based on a true story, Moneyball is a movie for anybody who has ever dreamed of taking on the system. Brad Pitt stars as Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland A's and the guy who assembles the team, who has an epiphany: all of baseball's conventional wisdom is wrong. Forced to reinvent his team on a tight budget, Beane will have to outsmart the richer clubs. The onetime jock teams with Ivy League grad Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) in an unlikely partnership, recruiting bargain players that the scouts call flawed, but all of whom have an ability to get on base, score runs, and win games. It's more than baseball, it's a revolution - one that challenges old school traditions and puts Beane in the crosshairs of those who say he's tearing out the heart and soul of the game.
Hey I'd love to! I mean if you're still looking,
I've been looking for a couple groups, and there are a couple on meetup.com, most of them are an hour away from me but they might be closer for you. I was planning to go anyway,
If you did have any luck forming a group, let me know!
If you go to the "Meetings" link, Toronto is listed as a date (today, Sept 1st) and place (Wrongbar)
Facebook link has the rest of the details: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=200453510000826
I grabbed a tag off a flyer to see what this was about... sadly I have flaming puck unicycle hockey to attend tonight instead!
Anyone planning on going? This will be my first time seeing them. I'm thinking about going to the last show on Sunday evening.
Unfortunately, I have no friends that are fans. Lucky for me there's always eHow. (How to Go to a Concert Alone) :P
