Originally made for my Oath of the Ancients Paladin, who is a follower of Selûne. I plan on making it into a double-sided sheet with backstory and trait information on the back in the same style.
I like having sheets that reflect the character and help me get into the right mindset for roleplaying. I also get to optimize space and cut out sections in the old sheets I don't use, plus add areas I regularly need (exhaustion, attuned items, spell casting info).
EDIT: Thanks everyone for being so awesome.
I have a twitter that I post updates to (same username) and my gumroad is gumroad.com/nethkaria
EDIT 2: I'm going to try and get back to everyone here (sorry if I miss you). I'll be posting a double-sided pdf version of this sheet tomorrow afternoon on my gumroad (hopefully around 5:00pm CST).
And the pen is from a local artist who used a pen kit (all the metal parts) and reclaimed antler.
Webtoons didn’t renew his contract. Because the process is so work-intensive for these comics, I get the sense it no longer makes sense financially to work on these comics.
If you want to support him though, he put his favorite comics into a book that you can buy (I did; it’s great).
Hi, this is a follow up from my last comic.
If anyone's interested, there's a full colored version for sale for $2 on Gumroad.
edit* Also, tumblr is where I post more often.
This is not true. Maybe not everyone gets it, but the movie is filled to the brim with overt parody. The actors are all propaganda caricatures and everything about almost every line skewers military, war and politics. Watch this to learn more:

The images are uploaded by Soleil Zumbrunn, who designed these cards. They were funded with a Kickstarter campaign, you can still buy 'em here (link to her portfolio is also included).
She's active on reddit and promoted these cards on this sub too: /u/soleilz. Give her a shout-out!
Okidoke, here's a video showing it a little better. Does that help at all?
Edit: I am uploading full instructions. So hold this thought!
Double edit: Okay, here we go! I've put it on Gumroad, so you can either download free or if you think you learnt something you can throw me a dollar. Did not expect this model to blow up, the response has been amazing, so thanks to all for the kind words.
It's not [too simplistic]. Check out <strong>Capitalism Must Die! (link)</strong> it's a great book that breaks down the battle against capitalism into simplified and digestible language. You can enter $0 into the fair price tag to download it for free, but of course I would heavily encourage you to pick up a physical copy as well, not just to support the artist/author, but then you can foist this shit on your buds outta the blue if they ever show a mere mote of curiosity about the struggle.
rooktakesqueen hits it right on the nose. It's not more complicated than that. That's the entire reason the system is evil, inherently unsustainable, and must be resisted at every turn and overthrown as soon as possible. Workers are paid a fraction of the value they produce, capitalists steal the rest for themselves (known as surplus value), they re-invest that surplus value into the system to expand and continue. There are some more steps in between (like surplus value is what drives the profit of the commodity produced by exploited labor, and then monopoly retailers can muscle over smaller capitalists and consolidate power even further, etc) but the overall idea is extremely simple.

A few years ago (when I was a student) I made a short documentary about IPL and where StarCraft could be going called "Meta: The Culture of IPL". It managed to play on the IPL5 (I think) stream. You can view it on Vimeo for free or if you'd really like a downloadable copy with some bonus stuff, you can pay what you want for a copy. The download supports future films.
This was my first major project in film and I'm really proud of it. It ended up being played a ton and made enough money to cover the initial budget which is more than any kid making a film could ask for.
Hello again, here's a follow up comic from the last comic.
If anyone's interested, there's a full colored version for sale for $2 on Gumroad.
Last one got good reception, so part 3 is in the works.
For a this dungeon I have home-brewed a race called Krenn. They are a cave dwelling species that uses echo location to live and get around. During the time period the players are captured from and brought along to this ancient ruin of a civilization and end up wandering down into something evil.
On this level however there are minimal enemies. Instead the players are tested more with puzzles like the two black hexagons in the floors. These become a theme in the dungeon on later levels. You get an inkling as a player what they may be for if you discover the hidden chapel to the top left. When opening that secret door, you are plagued with wretched sight of a room covered in crimson. Floor to ceiling the empty chapel hosts secrets about the race and what may have transpired. However none of it is in common or is even written (echo location so a similar type of braille is used).
The main points of this map are that the far room with crypts is a room of worship and none of the tombs lay open. If a player tries to open it they can but find a pool of blood filling it nearly full. The hexagon floor pieces are mean't for blood sacrifices and are filled using the basins just south of the top left one and on the walls in the right one!
If you want a free copy you can download it here https://gumroad.com/products/UvqPLu/
Here is the blog where they are all listed out, a place where one can buy a PDF version of them, and the artist's Etsy store where it seems one can get these printed on deck form when she returns from winter vacation.
No personal interests or associations, just chased through the links to find out more and I like I see original artists get paid.
I'm in the process of uploading my own battle maps right now. I always start by asking myself this same question, so maybe you'll like some of them.
If you happen to use them, I'd love to see some pictures. :)
It's his business, he takes other peoples photos, often from completely different locations, combines them, turns up the saturation and sharpening, posts on reddit then sells presets to use with Lightroom/photoshop - https://gumroad.com/grafixart_photo
Hi, Grim here. Thanks for doing this, but I caution you it will probably do no good. EH (and others) denied that this was company policy all day long when this happened and will probably get away with it anyway, but it couldn't hurt for them to face a little pressure for once.
The outcome we don't want is for DTRPG to refuse any and all 'edgy' or difficult products because of issues like this.
Guy asking for the PDF, you can buy it here: https://gumroad.com/l/lJkxQ
I am a very small company and never got my Munchkin millions, so every sale is appreciated and trolls etc have been making a point of pirating it to try and dig at me. Normally I kind of write it off: 'Eh, buy something else of mine when you have more money' but I need cash at the moment to help pay for the backer release of Gor when it comes out.
This is unlikely to work due to the denials, HOWEVER drivethrurpg/rpgnow/onebookshelf did suggest they'd reconsider when things calmed down a bit. GG is coming up on a year so that might be a good time to pressure them to change their mind.
I don't really go on Chans or Reddit, so best place to contact me for info in Twitter or email. Twitter is @grimachu
Here's the post back from when this all started https://postmortemstudios.wordpress.com/2014/12/07/gamergate-the-card-game-update/
Really awesome job! For anyone interested, I made some portal effect videos that you can play on your phone, all of them loop friendly and a version with timers(15, 10 and 5 minutes) where the portal closes slowly, for your timed encounters.
And also a silly tutorialexplaining how to do a version of what OP did, albeit much less cool looking!
I really wanted to do a Howls Moving Castle project and this was the perfect one. I found the pattern on pinterest and its stitched on 14 count aida. This was my first big project and used a pencil to grid. Unfortunately I cant get the marks out. Any suggestions?
Edit: Thank you everyone for the compliments! I honestly didnt think I would attract this much attention. The original pattern is by a shop named Stitches of Creation on etsy. I found the picture of the pattern on pintrest. Unfortunately I couldn't find the pattern on their shop so I just tried to replicate it as best as possible. If someone can find it please let me know! I'll love to actually buy the pattern like I was planning to from the beginning.
Edit2: thank you user technicolornurd for the link to the creators page! https://gumroad.com/stitchesofcreation
What's that noise I hear? Why, it's the sound of me blowing my own trumpet...
I'm currently working on Graverobbers, which is an OSR-inspired game where all characters are thieves, all about that outside-the-box thinking. Playtest document here, more info here
Another option I like to use for thief/rogue types in my games is to give them access to their own kind of magic - dirty, practical, thief-only, and working on its own system outside of wizards' spell slots. Bastard Magic is a self-contained system-neutral spell system designed for thievery and general criminal behaviour.
I just really like thieves!

I am very happy to be able to be a part of it. This is my submission, which features Lucina and Morgan practicing kendo together in the morning.
For those wondering, this is the brush pack used. Also looks like they used the tutorial linked from the same place. I highly recommend both, I paid for these brushes and am very happy with them.
I have extensive skinning experience in Maya and I'll start off by sharing 3 tips that might change your life.
1- First off, these settings generally agreed upon by fellow riggers: http://imgur.com/a/UFske
These will give you a good start BUT, with a character you generally always end up painting weights manually.
2- Lock your weights: Maya is kinda dumb with skinning. If I am painting a head/neck region, refining the weights for just that area but your toe weights are unlocked, Maya can put weight values into the toes because they are unlocked. You need to lock everything and only unlock the areas that you are working on. For the neck and head example, unlock: neck_1_jnt neck_2_jnt head_1_jnt
This allows us to influence only these bones while the rest are of the body is locked.
3- Buy these, Josh Sobel face rigging: http://www.joshsobelrigs.com/tutorials
Josh Sobel is a world-class rigger and explains clearly his weight painting techniques. They are so simple, but so effective. I have recommended these tutorials to artists who thought they knew how to paint effectively in Maya, these artists were enlightened. The thing about Pluralsight is they are good beginner tutorials, but in my opinion never really specialise or fully uncover a topic. Josh Sobel explains to you his way of approaching rigging, he mentions other techniques but explain his own preferred methods thoroughly.
also, best autorigger in my opinion: https://gumroad.com/l/mgear
First developed by Jeremie Passerin, Blur studios rigging supervisor. Rewritten by Miquel Campos, super talented rigger.
I posted my FTL lego ships a while back, but now I've added the Osprey, Gila Monster, Man of War, and Federation Bomber to complete the set. Also updated the Mantis crew design. These were all made with Mugbearer's instructions. He told me he'd eventually add more ships too!
there is a book called Capitalism Must Die! by Stephanie Mcmillan which basically gives a rundown on why capitalism is garbage but does it in a way that is very straight forward without dumbing down the concepts themselves at all. it is excellent.
https://gumroad.com/l/capitalismsucks here is a free PDF link if youd rather not pay money (tell him he can skip the wordy word from the publisher at the front, it has since been moved to the back of the book in the physical print because its too wordy and goes against the grain of simplicity that the book stands for)
https://stephaniemcmillan.org/product/book-capitalism-must-die-a-basic-introduction-to-capitalism-what-it-is-why-it-sucks-and-how-to-crush-it/ here's a link to her website so you can buy the physical book for $15 (+ ~$3 shipping) if you'd rather a physical copy (i prefer physical books and i like to support mcmillans work since she's a beast)
this should outline for him why capitalism sucks in a very compelling way and make him more sympathetic to the socialist cause
Bastard Magic is a system-neutral magic system of 30 spells, specifically designed for thieves and general criminal activity. All are at roughly the power level of 1st level spells or cantrips in 5e.
I certainly think so, although to be fair I did write it and am therefore completely biased. As cost is the issue, you have two options that will help. First, if you download my free Natural Swift video (https://gumroad.com/l/natural-swift), you’ll get regular book discounts sent to you by email. The discounts aren’t huge - only $5 - but every little helps. Second, I sometimes run larger sales (half price), so if you don’t mind waiting a few months then do so.

Hi! I see there are a couple questions already, I'll answer those just before we start tomorrow and then we get down to business - I think we are going to talk some Future is Now lore which I like and that should also prompt more questions ;) - To those unfamiliar with the Future is Now series you can grab the digital version of Neon Rising (the current main book, Nightfall will be the follow up) for FREE at: https://gumroad.com/josan#FkSS - Enter the code hypetrain62k19 at checkout and price will be 0
I used ~~Gumroad's~~ YanSculpt's character texturing for beginners https://gumroad.com/l/GMPd It's 7 hours total. It's not free but it's worth it, I couldn't find anything like it anywhere for free so I had to get it. Super important stuff as a beginner. I mentioned it in the title, wasn't sure if I should link it.
I never watch modeling tutorials, I prefer to sculpt and then do retopology(not always necessary if you're just doing a still render and not rigging). Sometimes I watch timelapses, just search YouTube for Blender character sculpting timelapses and watch some that are similar to the style you're going for.
I think I watched this one for the eyes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf3QZL8ahGo
I watched that whole series of tutorials actually, that's where I learned to unwrap and uv map characters(I just remembered, the . I stopped at texturing though because he started working in blender internal and I needed cycles, so that's when I bought gumroads tutorial. He also has a modeling tutorial but I don't like that technique, it's only good for modeling from a 2D reference drawing imo. ~~Gumroad~~ Yansculpt also has a character sculpting tutorial but I haven't seen it.
No tutorial for the eyelashes and eyebrows, they're particles. Actually I need to watch some tutorials on eyebrows, and make an eyelash texture and do it the right way, because I'm not too happy with these
This is u/wildviolet's design and I stitched it on 18 count lite oatmeal Aida. I was hoping the white would show up better, but it shows well enough.
I found a frame I liked at Joann's but I didn't really like the color but since it was natural wood I stained it to a color I do like. After it was stained my daughter found a screen shot of the carving in the closet and drew it on the frame to match. I carved it and then when that was done I put a coat of wax on the wood to give it a nice satin look. I didn't put the glass in the frame because didn't like the slight glare and, honestly, I really like the look of the stitching. I don't smoke and it's not in the kitchen so it should be fine.
It was a lot of work to frame it, especially sewing/lacing up the back, but when it's all said and done it was very much worth it.
The response yesterday was awesome, I've never had more than a few people see my models before so that was eye-opening. Really appreciate all the kind words.
Anyway, the good stuff: here are the instructions for the Red Stallion. Here's also the instructions for yesterday's car. Type "0" in the price and it will let you download free.
Then, here are the Lego Digital Designer files. I plan on digitising two more cars in my collection, so if you go for this then you will be notified as I make instructions.
You could look into this: https://gumroad.com/l/pixel-logic
I can't vouch for it myself but I've heard good things. Whatever resource you use, it will just take a lot of practice.

Been a while since I had time to stitch someone else's design, and this has been on my to-do list for aaaaages.
I swapped out the white in the cloud for Kreinik Glow in the Dark 052F Grapefruit #4. I personally find it easier to work with than the DMC glow, but y'know. personal preference.
The blacklight is across town at the boyfriend's, so no good photo of the glowing unfortunately. :(
I just released a new (free!) Swift video tutorial called Natural Swift, which teaches the importance of value types, functional programming, and protocol-oriented programming.
I'm also preparing some talks for conferences. I'm delivering four days of workshops at Forward Swift – one on beginner's Swift, one on advanced Swift, one teaching macOS development, and one teaching server-side Swift. They are all in San Francisco, from February 28th to March 4th, and should be great!
If you're in the UK, I'll also be giving a talk at iOSCon 2017 on March 30th, so I think it's safe to say I have a lot of preparing to do this month…
I'll totally put together a tutorial'ish thingy real soon! It's a super fun way to work and it goes pretty fast once you're into the groove :D
It's basically a variation on the workflow of Long Pham or Kalen Chock with a pinch of photobashing for speed :D
Hey guys! A few months back I shared a little series I did where I take modern hip hop albums and redesigned them to look like 70s vinyl releases. I decided to revisit the idea again but with a different approach. Previously, I focused heavily on including a lot of typography such as track lists and credits and as a result, a lot of them ended up looking like back covers. This time I eased up on all of the type and made sure they came out as proper front covers. There are some other ones on my Instagram (like Yeezus) and I've got a few more in the works.
Here’s a link to the previous instalment
Lastly, since I’m often asked where I get my worn textures from, here’s a link to a pack I’ve used a whole bunch. Seriously got my money’s worth.
Hope you guys dig these and if anyone had any questions, lay ‘em on me!
Pattern by u/wildvi0let found here. This pattern was so cute! I couldn't put it down! This is the first time I hand dyed my own aida and I think it fits the pattern well! I also used glow in the dark floss for the web to enhance the spooky effect. 🕷️🕸️
A massive shout-out to Joel Pigou for his excellent brush set. Here's a Google Drive link with a high- and low- rez JPEG versions, as well as the PDF if you want to change the names, colors, or anything else for your own campaign! Font used is JSL Ancient. CC is welcome, and I will post pics when I get the printed poster in!
Hi! I'm co-creating a comic set in a fantasy space world inspired by Africa. It's about two cousins who survive by fulfilling all kinds of missions for all kinds of clients. Even the shadiest. I thought I'd come and share it here. You can get a taste of it there : https://gumroad.com/juniba
Thank you for tuning in!
We hope you'll all follow along with our reporting (quarters recaps going up shortly) and analysis for the rest of the weekend. Everything is here: http://www.ultiworld.com/live
And if you are so inclined, we would appreciate a tip!
Firstly, you would want to first open a brokerage account with Interactive Brokers, which has much lower fees than DBS vickers. However the downside is there is a 10 USD minimum spend every month unless you have 100K USD in assets.
Secondly, you will want to buy VUSD listed on LSE instead of VOO. This is because VUSD is Irish domiciled and only has 15% dividend withholding tax versus 30% in VOO. Another good ETF is IWDA which tracks the MSCI world index so that you will have a better balance.
Finally i suggest buying this ebook (its only 8 dollars) https://gumroad.com/l/FxsMU . It is written by a user named Shiny Things who is the resident financial guru in the HWZ forums, and provides great advise on how Singaporeans should invest
I have a fair amount of experience with photoshop and used Noah Bradley's guide to map making pack along with JPcartography brush pack. Both are free and watch the guide by noah bradley to get an idea on how to make the maps.
Guys, dont stress, You can go back to the days of Time travelers driving Lambos on the moon any time with this poster I made.
I made this poster when ETH hit $50 and everyone was super excited. Now we are at $400! I dont know about you but i am still super bullish. Anyway, get the poster here or DM me if you want me to send you the design so you can print it yourself. https://gumroad.com/l/LJYXn
Also don't forget to upvote the daily.
Woo-hoo! This is an excellent birthday present to myself!!! I will go and preorder it on Gumroad now... :D
It will be available on Gumroad at 9pm.
I recommend people preorder it on Gumroad or wait to buy until 9pm, because it's the same price as on Amazon but with the bonus of having the book in multiple formats (pdf, mobi, epub, html, and txt) rather than only in the kindle format Amazon sells.
Also, Max Harms gets a greater cut of the sale profits on Gumroad compared to Amazon: Proof.
Nummynumz here!
As long as this is for personal use, I don't mind. I know a lot of folk loved and miss Tartiidrake.
Should you feel like supporting me, and want the hi-rez's of those images, my vore packs I sell online still have her in them. c: https://gumroad.com/tartiinumz
To those of you who do understand and respect my decision for moving away from her, thankyou.
Fearless Future is an anthology of short scifi comic stories put together by Chris Robinson, a certifiable cool dude, comics editor, and tastemaker. I am easily the LEAST of the talent in this book, so I highly recommend checking it out. There's a lot of established artists and some really great new and independent folks involved too!
Here's the original Kickstarter page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1084996367/fearless-future-vol-1-and-2-sci-fi-micro-tales
And here's the book itself, available on Gumroad as a PDF for $5: https://gumroad.com/l/ojFE
For anyone who is wondering about the website, only the first book is free to read. Guy needs to make money somehow!
Just to let people know, Amazon only provides a mobi format for $9.99, while for a one cent higher price on Gumroad ($10) you can get Crystal Mentality in the following formats: epub, html, mobi, pdf, and txt.
Also I think Max gets a higher cut of profits on Gumroad, but I'm not too sure about that so don't hold me to it.
PS WOOOOOOO-HOOOOO!!!!! I'm not going to sleep tonight with such a good book ready for reading!
EDIT: Amusing piece of information I had to share. In the book, Max says the book will be released into the public domain on January 1, 2039 which makes sense since that's the year the story starts in the book.
Hey guys! I'm one of the authors of this book, and I'm really excited to be able to share this with /r/machinelearning. There have been a lot of people asking for good introductory books to TensorFlow, and we hope that this is going to be one of the best offerings out there.
Our publisher's page has a link to get a free chapter from the book, but here's the direct link for the lazy.
My co-authors and I have been working our butts off to get this ready for you all, so let me know if you have any questions!
hi there
the communist manifesto was originally written to be short, quick, to the point, and most importantly, understandable and digestible to the 19th century proletariat for which it was written for. it doesn't really serve that purpose today, since it's written in language and dialect from over a hundred and fifty years ago, which can be a little confusing for your modern day worker.
there is however a book out now, available for free online to download (or you can buy a physical copy if you want to support the author), that i basically view as the modern day communist manifesto. it's called "Capitalism Must Die!" by Stephanie McMillan.
marxism is a critique of capitalism. nowhere in marxism does marx describe how communism will be reached, how communism will function, how it will look, etc -- marx just asserts that its the stage after capitalism. but again, its important to make that distinction -- marxism is not an ideology that defines how communism will function, it is an ideology that functions as a critique of capitalism.
that is exactly what the book Capitalism Must Die! does. it explains the critique of capitalism. but it does it in a way that's much easier to understand, using more modern language, and it has quite a few pictures and diagrams to help your understanding. it's a fantastic introduction to marxism and communism.
if you choose to read the online version rather than buying a physical copy (understandable of course) do note that you can skip the entire foreword from the publisher, as in physical print it has since been moved to the back of the book since it's a little wordier and complex than the actual book itself.
There is a mini version for this situation exactly! Both are beautiful, but the mini is more accessible for sure :)
I would recommend using an antique or oatmeal Aida so the white pops like it does in the pattern-maker’s sample!
TLDR: It's available now! More trinket packs coming soon, leave your suggestions below! https://gumroad.com/l/advtab
Hi, I’m an artist by trade and I occasionally like to spoil my players, so to commemorate the completion of their first successful arc after our hiatus, I painted them a new table homepage! We’d always used homepages to collate information and have a ‘neutral screen’ for outside of encounters, but it was always kinda flat and ‘graphic design-y’, rather than something which helped them get invested in the world. Now, this table actually exists in their wagon, with a personalised trinket each, and tokens of their success across the world.
I posted this to /r/DnD last week, and a few people asked if I would be willing to make a more generic, modular version so that other people could use it, so here it is! Starting May 1st, you’ll be able to get your own table, complete with 16 drag-and-drop trinkets to personalise your table, and 9 hand-drawn weather icons to swap in and out. I’m also already in the process of creating add-on packs, featuring iconic monster trophies and magic items, which will be released soon!
As this is only the start of an expanding system I hope to work on, (including multiple table designs and weather effect overlays) I’m selling the classic pack for just £4 (less than $6!) on my Gumroad: www.gumroad.com/Limonium. I’m aiming for the add-ons to more than quadruple the number of trinkets available, so you really can make your table your own.
If you have any suggestions for the sorts of add-ons you’d like to see, please do leave your ideas in the comments! I’m excited to see what everyone else considers an essential for their adventurer’s table.
You can buy it HERE on Gumroad for $3!
Tristana finds herself helping Gnar on the outskirts of Bandle City. He decides to thank her the only way he knows how...(You know how this goes).
The Full version contains 21 Pages in high resolution + 4 Bonus pages featuring Lulu and Poppy. I’ll be uploading two pages publicly every week in standard resolution, the bonus pages will stay exclusive to Patreon and those who purchase it on Gumroad.
Whew, this was truly the biggest(in every sense of the word) project I’ve worked on yet! I’m not completely happy with it, but it’s done! Thanks to all of those who stopped by during livestreams, commented and critiqued, and of course to my patrons for giving me they’re filthy pron moneys and being super supportive overall.
Thanks to everyone for your support as always, this was definitely a tough project, but I learned a lot and it was a great experience.
Cheers! -1DR
It’s from ShitpostSampler on tumblr! They released it as a pay what you want or can pattern. I’m working on one of their other patterns but I’m out of a floss color I need.
Let me know what you think! Alternate view.

This is from the Taste of the Wild Fan Zine that was sold for a limited time with all profits being given to the United for Puerto Rico charity to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.
Some pictures would help. Not just because I want to look at the tits you're rigging, but for science.
Show skin weight map and what issues you have. But generally speaking - just don't skin underneath them?
And once you get them rigged you may consider using BroDynamics to simulate their bouncy movement instead of building a complicated dynamic rig system for that.
Here you go. The wallpaper was made using two different wallpapers, one by Starkiteckt Designs and another by DeviantArt user TuPaC2000.
ahahha I really loved to do this pic. Is something about the size difference plus the sensation of losing...

Dude, spoliers!
That being said, ~squeal~~~~~~~~~~~~ Spec Ops!!!!!! I can't get enough of this game, I even bought the book. I thought I was too old and cynical to go full fanboy on... anything really, but this game, it's fucking work of art. It pushes the whole genre forward, other modern warfare games now look childish and pathetic in comparison. Fuck I might have to start playing again tonight.
ehm, probably should've said that I didnt actually draw this, its an artpack and arranged the table to my liking. sry for was not my intention to mislead, just a stupid mistake on my end <.<.
If you want the art, i got them from there: https://gumroad.com/limonium

So I've been working on this for like, almost a year now. Maybe some of you remember me posting the introduction comic here a while back. I am happy to say I'm finally finished! You can find part 1 and 2 of chapter 2 on gumroad for $0+ dollars. Basically its free, unless you're feeling charitable. Introduction Part 1 Part 2
Dear 3Dmodeling Redditors, I'm a senior 3D artist working at Ubisoft Toronto and I would like to share my free and compact modeling & texturing tutorial with you. I'll show you my way of modeling a "first person" grenade with 3Ds Max and texturing it in Substance Painter. I had a lot of fun working on it and hope that I can show you a few new things through it. :)
This is what we are going to build: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/mk2-hardsurface-tutorial-baking-texturing
You can get the Scene files and optionally download the 1080p videos on my gumroad page https://gumroad.com/timb
I hope you like it and look forward to hear your feedback. My next tutorial is almost done and will cover the whole way of creating an AKM assault rifle from scratch.
Cheers!, Tim
Holy crap, when did the CSS change? I really, really like the new look.
In other news, I just wanted to inform anybody that downloaded Malus Domestica during the giveaway the other day (of which there are 20 copies left) that it's up on Amazon and ready to rock, if you want to leave a review.
Also, I'm putting a new project up on the drawing board (a space opera), if you'd like to see the cover I did for it: The Somnambulists.
The logical next step from my wavetable loader utility is a sample importer.
Since there is a 32kb limit, it's impossible to put in even the shortest modern sample, but still plenty if we go old-school and only use one sample, find a good loop and transpose it all over the keys. Just like toy keyboards or Fairlight CMI, where majority of samples in the video are from.

You can download the tool at https://gumroad.com/l/wavShelf
It's stable but still lacking editing features, currently you need to enter sample rate and loop infos manually, I'll suggest wait a bit longer if you are not familiar with samplers or trackers with this kind of editing.
You can buy this poster as a downloadable image. It’s has a donate function so you pay what you want and you select the resolution size to print. No shipping, no damaged poster, no cardtube with plastic stoppers.
I liked the way this is being sold so much I considered buying it even though I didn’t like R1. A very modern style of purchasing with a much smaller carbon footprint than the traditional method of buying a poster. Really cool. It’s a brilliant design too.
Here’s the link if anyone wants to buy it or just even look at what’s being sold. https://gumroad.com/l/MTvYa
Hey everyone! Here is the uncropped version of the Sanaki pic I did for the world of heroes fanzine plus a bonus WIP gif! It was a lot of fun doing this and I hope someone out there uses it as a new wallpaper even if it's only for a day :D
If you haven't already seen the fanzine you can grab yourself a free copy over at https://gumroad.com/artists_of_askr
Edit: Apparently I can't post the discord invite without the comment getting hidden. Our upcoming project theme is FE x PKMN crossover! Sign up starts on October 1st. If anyone is interested in participating they're welcome to PM me for a discord invite. :D
I use Photoshop CS6. But I've been using Photoshop since college in the early 90's, so, you know, I've gotten used to it.
The two big brush engine overhauls came in Photoshop 7 and CS5. If you're using a pre-CS 5 version, in particular, it's going to feel a bit dated, even though the PS7 engine update was pretty amazing for it's time.
Brush selection and customization makes a world of difference though. There are lots of free ones out there that are hit and miss. I really like Kyle Webster's brushes and have most of his sets; he's got several free brushes and a small sampler set if you want to try them out. Most issues of ImagineFX include a bunch of downloads, and those usually have a number of brushes as well. (And it's a pretty interesting read most months.)
Or, you know, he could sell bullshit advice on a website for 10 bucks and then try to start threads on a subreddit about said bullshit advice when his first attempt to hawk it on the subreddit doesn't work.
This was done with a Voronoi Fracture with an 8 point matrix as the point source. Then used Merk's Trypogen to make it look like a skeletal cube. Pretty fun! Check out trypogen if you haven't heard of it: https://gumroad.com/l/trypogen/1 and check out my instagram if you want to see more of my stuff: @stuffianrenders
The Realm of Aesen is the world in which me and my closest friends play D&D 5e in. It had a humble beginning where i only made a very small location map with a few towns strewn in and it has grown into this world map which it is today.
Summarize of the realm: The realm has five major factions. The Northern Kingdoms, the Last Sovereign, the Order of the Raven, the Empire of the Gods and the Emerald Enclave.
The Northern Kingdoms hold the north protected by a barrier of mountains from the rest of the realm. Here the all the dwarfish kingdoms have rose to unite under the banner of the High-King.
The Last Sovereign control the Aspaarian deserts of the east as well as much of the land surrounding it as well. Here all races who want to seek a better life live in coexistence in the huge cities erected by the now deceased Sovereign Gwyneth.
The Order of the Raven lies in the murky and dark south of the realm. Here the landscape is harsh and the reign of the King even harsher. But even the king fall under the dominion of the Raven God Nevermore, who controls the faction from the shadows.
The Empire of the Gods rest in the west as the strongest of the five major factions. The empire has always followed of the Gods of old, whom where shattered during the War of Mortality. Even though their Gods have gone, they still hold true to the traditions and principles they left behind.
The Emerald Enclave have complete and utter control of the center of the realm, they built their whole society around the dead corpse of a God, Zaw'mjir, who was the world tree and the one to control nature itself. After his passing the faction took it upon themselves to uphold his job.
I made this using the latest version of Photoshop CC and THIS brush set by Joel Pigou.
Tea dyed this piece after stitching it!
I sprayed tea on it and left tea bags sitting on the fabric for an hour. I love how it turned out 💀

Adam bought it for him at this year's Anime Expo and was given to him on dude soup.
Looks like you can get it here (possibly NSFW) at the artist's store.
Thank you! For the textures, I used brushes from Ahmed Aldoori and Aaron Griffin.
Ahmed Aldoori: "Dots" and "Dust Scratches"
Aaron Griffin: "Sampled Brush 7 1" (on "Dissolve" mode) and "goro_stroke" (as smudge tool)
Its common for a small town cop to write a warrant too broad and the small town judge approve it only to have a silicone valley lawyer just say no.
I try to remind police that the big silicone valley companys are not anti-police, they just don't want bad press or to get sued by their customers for letting the data go without a rock solid warrant.
Their are books written on how to write better warrants for digital evidence.
Learn some, it's super useful.
https://gumroad.com/l/tldrmusic
Useful and mostly easy to understand guide to basic music theory. Only thing I dont like with this guide is how he explains major/minor scales, I prefer to just think of it as 2212221 for major and 2122122 for minor where the every number represents one semitone (one key on the keyboard/piano roll). Start on C and go up with one of those patterns and you have C major/C minor.
Knowing how scales work and how chords work with eachother is very useful if you want to make music that actually sounds good and makes the listener feel the music.
The design features Jedha City (with hovering Star Destroyer), an ancient fallen Jedi statue, and the Caverns of Caldera (Saw Gerrera's hideout).

UPDATE: 11/14/2018: Pink Lady Mage how now posted this version as a free preview on their Tumblr. https://pinkladymage.tumblr.com/post/180111610889/cordelia-from-fire-emblem-its-already-so-cold. We're all good on this image.
Although it appears that the site you found it on was itself in error, unfortunately. Thus, your sourcing is incorrect in turn.
pinkladymage.tumblr.com is indeed the artist's Tumblr, but she has not posted this piece there.
Instead, its a Patreon/Gumroad piece. PinkLadyMage has it on sale here alongside various variants: https://gumroad.com/pinkladymage#
I started with Michael Pavlovich's intro to zbrush series found here https://gumroad.com/pavlovich.. The entire beginner series is free. It's when I actually started to get good with zbrush. Have fun!
Came across something curious. They use gumroad.js on their website.
<script src="https://gumroad.com/js/gumroad.js"></script>
Right. So going to the js file, is what is confusing me.
(Function (d, t) {t = d.createElement ( 'script'); t.setAttribute ( 'src', 'https: //assets.gumroad.com/assets/gumroad-overlay-d64e219abdab5bdf3fa7f4dad994b5f0496c3a1198fec240f88d7ee9e490299e.js'); d.getElementsByTagName ( 'head') [0] .appendChild (t)}) (document)
Rather than just put the contents of the gumroad-overlay, it grabs the other file and does that. What is the point of that? Cache killing?
Here are some shoes I made as part of a massive tutorial I've been trying to get through. So not an original design. For those curious, the tutorial is Matt Thorup's on advanced character modeling.

>Only four hours left to buy MONA or Clipping Through for $1 in special sale ~ use offer code 'pray4lfa' https://gumroad.com/leighalexander/
Is that not the book that she said got pirated by someone after she discovered her publishing company comprised flawed humans, so it's free to download now ... oops! ... ?
Pray4lfa? Wow. "I am games journalism." Looks like it's circling the drain.
Check the video off of the Tom (tinman) Schwartz website. If you are really curious and want to know from the primary source then the video is a worthwhile investment and not that expesive ($32).

Here's a link from Jay Johnson who produced the video:
Hey! Creator here! I'm waiting for it to be approved on Drive-Thru, but it IS available on my Gumroad. https://gumroad.com/l/YSRoH

I can't offer physical copies until all of the backers receive their copies, but i'm hoping to offer those sometime in the next few months.

Also, it is WEIRD seeing people talk about the book, I'm humbled and hope it gets plenty of use!
Entirely made by me to allow anyone to generate a good looking world using Blender 2.8. I work on this from time to time to add more features and further optimization (It is heavily optimized already)
You can obtain the shader for free at: https://gumroad.com/l/terramux
I originally made this to help friends who make Warhammer 40k fan-lore to easily create artworks of their custom planets.
Have you seen the Monsters for Every Season? They’re drawn by Order of the Stick artist Rich Burlew, and you get both full-color and black-and-white tokens, so your kids can color them if they like.
