Thank you, and thanks for the Reddit gold!
But for anyone else thinking of giving gold... I've got like 5 years of it. Maybe consider donating to my Patreon instead?
sorry for the shameless plug
(And by request for single donations instead of recurring, I now also have paypal and google wallet: )
As I did here, I am going to let any Patreon supporter choose what story they'd like to see next. Just reply to this comment with your suggestion! But keep it within the general theme of "everyday encounters of a down-on-his-luck necromancer."
If you're a Patreon supporter but don't have flair (and therefore I can't tell that you're a supporter), just message me through Patreon and I'll add flair to your username.
I'm in the process of outlining a Fallout 4 story at the moment. It will be about someone trying to become one of "The White Eyes," (as in, don't shoot till you see the whites of their eyes) a group of mercenaries headquartered on Bunker Hill. They wear heavy power armor with the eyes painted white, and they have a very strict admissions test. I'm thinking of expanding it, though, to make it a series or something longer.
It's a pretty cool story. It'll be posted on Patreon, though, not on Reddit.
Selling on iBooks is complicated, but you can download the epub versions and use those easily on iphones or ipads! Those are available here:

I have written a book and I am going to try to get it published soon. One reason that I have reminded people to subscribe to my subreddit here (beyond the fact that I like having people willing to read my stories) is that publishers really want proof that people like your writing, especially for a first-timer like me. So if I can say, "hey, check out these people who are following my work!" then maybe they'll give me a chance. If that book is successful... who knows? I may be able to quit my job and answer prompts all day (and also write more books).
I also have a Patreon account but I am kind of uncomfortable asking people for money and I haven't mentioned it very much. It's nowhere close to my paycheck as a result.
I have an ebook published here, and I'm trying to find a publisher for this book.
I'm not quite sure why you are posting this here in my subreddit...
But for fans of The Office, I do have two stories based with characters from that show:
A Greek God goes to work for Dunder Mifflin Paper (sorry, Patreon-only. This'll cost you a dollar).
I have thought about establishing my own website like that, but I don't see the advantage in doing that over posting things here in /r/Luna_lovewell. Especially since Reddit is the source of my material. The only other place that I post things is on Patreon. I just put up two stories there today.
> What is it that you do in the real world?
I'd rather not say what my job is
> I mean how are you able to write all these stories without getting fired in the first place?
It doesn't take that long to write most of the stories. Maybe a half hour each? But then some days (like today) I have a big load of work that has to be done immediately, so I can't even take a half hour off.
> Can't we all just pay you to write stories all day to entertain us?
If you've got too much money on your hands, I do have a Patreon account. And it has more stories there that aren't posted on Reddit.
have you talked to /u/writteninsanity?
His has Evergreen available from amazon in paperback
I am one of those who cant afford at the moment to be a Patreon subscriber, but absolutely think you deserve it. Which puts me in a bit of a moral crux. I have enjoyed (for free) so many stories you have written on WP that I feel a bit guilty for not being able to donate. I have however recommended your work to many a friend, and I don't know if any of them have become a Patreon, I like to think if they have then in some way I have still helped out. On another note I also remember a while back you put a bunch of your stories together into an e-book and put it up on Amazon. I did purchase this, maybe releaseing a 2nd book like this is another way you can supplement your income? all in all I enjoy the short story aspect of WP as it helps me get through the slower days at work and I don't have to invest in a full novel that can take days to read. Thank you for being an awesome writer and sharing your gift with us.
Go to Amazon and search for "Prompt me". You already have your wish.
In fact, I'll do it for you: https://www.amazon.com/Prompt-Me-W-P-Kimball-ebook/dp/B014S7TDIK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477362928&sr=8-1&keywords=prompt+me
I do have a Patreon, but it isn't nearly enough for me to live off of. It's just kind of a nice bonus from people who enjoy all of my stories.
I can think about doing a third part, but I've got some work to finish this afternoon and I am going to see The Martian this evening.
As mentioned elsewhere, I do have a collection of my stories on Amazon, as well as the option to buy it in ePub or PDF format here.
I would recommend not to have the games on reddit instead have it on https://roll20.net . This is a website where people can get together and play tabletop game. Also determine how many players you would like to have i recommend 4 people seeing how this will be your first time running a D&D campaign. Also watch the youtube channel aFistfulofDice, this will have a lot tips on how to run a campaign also if you do end up running a campaign i would be extremely intrested
Don't feel like you're slowing the game down to find something, or think of an answer. Your players will ask questions that you would have never even thought of, or decide to do something that you haven't planned for. It's 100% guaranteed.
If you need any help, or want to ask any questions r/dndnext is a subreddit dedicated to 5e.
~~r/dndbehindthescreen~~ r/dmacadamy is a subreddit dedicated to helping dms with any questions that they have, whether it be on rules or just ideas on what to do.
r/3d6 is for character creation.
Check out the 5e spellbook app app on the app store. You can create characters and their spell lists, and it tells what each spell does, its material costs, what kind of action it is, etc.
Also the Companion App is great for any druids. It has stats for all beasts that you can turn into with your wildshape feature.
You can also find pdf copies of the books online, although having the physical book is neat too.
If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.
So, you advertise that the physical book is only available from Createspace but it is also available from Amazon.
What's up with that?
Would you prefer I ordered from CreateSpace or Amazon? They both offer physical editions.
