Its essentially a biography on Miura/discussing the work of Berserk as well as the things its inspired. It's new so given the extremely tragic turn of events, it's regrettably a fairly complete deep dive.
More fun with numerology! http://abertlocan.blogspot.com/2013/03/obama-occult-numerology-and-more.html
More seriously, Miura didn't latch onto 216 by accident of course. It's got a lot of history to it. For example, the Pythagoreans held special significance for the Hexad because of how perfectly divisible the number was.
The Hexagram also appears in the seal that Schierke places around Guts' brand, the seal that Flora etches into the Berserk Armor, and that enigmatic diagram in the illustrations guide.
It's correct, as written. Remember, Griffith had no tongue, so he couldn't form all the syllables of the word. In Japnese, it just says "-げる" (instead of 捧げる )
Sword of Resonance is just plain wrong. I think Sword of Actuation is okay, but not 100% perfect, because it ignores the connection of the technique's name with beherits. Unfortunately, it can't be gracefully translated into English, because it's a dense, complicated phrase loaded with meaning (as is what SK calls Slan in Vol 26: "Harawada no Shouki").
The key part of the kanji used, 呼び水 (Yobimizu ), relates the technique to a priming pump, like an old water spout. The "water" part is no coincidence. Beherits are called "Ikae no Yobimizu" by the Idea of Evil in Episode 82 (note: not the lost episode, the actual one in Vol 13), which means roughly "primed droplets from the beyond (hell)." The science here is that beherits are composed of material from the abyss/hell, and when activated they "call" that other world. We see this of course most vividly when Griffith's beherit activates, and calls forth the Eclipse dimension. So, SK's technique uses their innate ability to cut through dimensions, turning it into a weapon.
It's understandably tough to encompass all of that in one word, which is why I prefer Beherit Sword, even though it's not quite as cool.
Edit: Extra stuff.
The kanji he uses isn't in common dictionaries. It could be found, but I don't have the resources. It's typical of the skull knight. He often speaks using ancient wording (after all, he's 1000 years old...). It's actually so uncommon that Miura used furigana to spell out for readers a common word that can substitute the original (もが) く者 meaning "one who struggles; wriggles; squirms; writhes").
Here's what it looks like: http://skullknight.net/images/struggler.png (It's the part Guts repeats)
I don't know of any "raw" sites. I just used my own japanese volume.
Edit: aha! Found it: 踠
From Amazon Japan
From Rakuten
Amazon sells a copy of the whole series for ~$65
Other than that I couldn't find any place that was streaming the 97 anime.
The 97 Anime covers the golden age arc and while it has its flaws its overall a pretty good adaptation. Fun fact: the production studio that made it has only ever worked on two IP... Berserk and literally every pokemon anime.
In 2012 they produced a movie triligy that also covered the golden age arc. The animation is CG, though decent despite this, and the story more closely follows the manga... but the pacing suffers as they essentially crammed more content than the 97 anime into 1/3rd the time. Some prefer the latter, some dont.
Then in 2016 they took a dump.
It's from Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil.
It sorta translates to "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you."
Anything referencing "skeleton" isn't accurate when it comes to SK. The first phrasing is 髑髏 which specifically refers to the cranium. Skull Knight is the most accurate, but even that misses the fact that the "Skull" part means weathered skull, implying his age.
The name "Knight of Skeleton" originated from the translation team contracted by Dark Horse. They explained on SKnet several years ago that they had reached out to Hakusensha (the official license holder for Berserk) for advice on how to spell certain names. The official answer they got back from Hakusensha was Knight of Skeleton -- likely because that was how Art of War had previously chosen to translate it, and a precedent had been set. At that point, DH's hands were tied. They had asked for direction, and been given bad directions, but had to follow them.
I don't really understand how someone who enjoyed the series would not enjoy the manga. I guess you've really got to want to read it, and if comics aren't your thing it could take a bit of getting used to but at least you tried :)
Read it from the beginning if you ever want to give it another chance.
The only other anime I can think of that comes close to Berserk is Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal (OAV) and the original Ninja Scroll movie
I've got no idea. But i found this item here on amazon japan.
There's a coupon that'll take 40% off of any Dark Horse title released before 4/11 with the code "DH40" at checkout. It stacks with the current manga sale making every volume down to $3 each. The coupon expires on 4/22.
4-23 Edit: Seems like the coupon got extended to today EST.

Void does indeed have a special title among them, and archangel is close, but it's not 100%. It literally means leader/eldest of angels. It's a title that only shows up once (volume 3), unless you count the new Guidebook, which also reiterates it: 天使の長. The last kanji is the important one: http://jisho.org/word/%E9%95%B7
As for fate, it isn't a term that shows up in Berserk. When you see it translated like that, it's always referring to Causality (因果) I think the only reason we see the term fate is that it's probably an easier concept for Western readers to immediately process without explanation than Causality.
Repost that I make pretty regularly:
Way back in 2012, the staff said the Lost Children Chapter would be next, even though Miura had requested the Black Swordsman Arc. But... that was before the last movie had even premiered, so the announcement may have been premature.
The intent with the "Berserk Saga Project" that launched with the movies was to adapt the full series. Of course, that was contingent on sales. And given the complete lack of any information for the 2 years since the last movie, it seems like there might not be any further releases under that "saga" or by Studio 4C.

I thought I heard a while ago that they would reboot the franchise with the movies covering the old anime, which only covered the golden age arc, and the series would be continued via a new anime after the 3 movies. IDK, it's hearsay, I'm not entirely sure. I do think if the continue the series with a new anime series it'd be better than more movies, since there's a lot to cover (Guts w/o caska / count arc, religion arc, children of the forest arc, ganishka arc, etc.)
EDIT: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-09-27/new-berserk-anime-project-launching
It's an old article but confirms of talks of a new anime project continuing Guts' adventures beyond the eclipse.
Just taking a look for a second, I found this box of war on ebay for $125, which is about what i paid for mine. Seller has 100% positive feedback and includes photos.
I’m guessing you might’ve seen this one if you’ve already checked amazon, but again its sold by a highly rated third party so it’s probably legit. And it seems they use amazon’s return policy so that shouldn’t be an issue either. As far as the price goes, I can’t say if it’s cheap or not but it seems reasonable to me.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
My dad helped me with the staff, it's carved from a giant thing of wood and stained with wood stain. The wig I got from amazon (this one!). All I did was just trim it and hairspray the crap out of the bangs.
At one point, the head of the animation studio said the next arc would be Lost Children (even though Miura wanted to do Black Swordsman): http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interview/2012-08-30/interview-eiko-tanaka But there's been zero official news since the release of the third movie. I tend to think it's done.
Apologies in advance if I come across as rude.
If you fear that learning about something is a threat to your sanity, your sanity is already threatened.
For a rational person, reading Mein Kampf will not turn you into a Nazi, reading The Art of War will not turn you into a tactical genius, reading the Metamorphosis will not turn you into a giant cockroach, reading of Mice and Men will not turn you into a large simpleton with a penchant for killing small furry animals.
Reading about mysticism will not turn you into a raving lunatic.
If you think researching old-world lore or any sort of religious history is going to make you crazy, please speak to a therapist or qualified mental health professional, you may already be experiencing difficulties discerning between what is real and what is not.
Saw this box set on Amazon and was wondering if anyone could confirm if it's legit. It looks like they're all Japanese imports.
Here's the link for reference: Berserk / Kenpu Denki Berserk Blu-ray Box https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0065YEY9S/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_1Jfjvb053GJG5 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0065YEY9S/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_1Jfjvb053GJG5
Amazon started the pre-sale few days ago. The date is July 18, 2017.
If you mean like a three-in-one type of deal, yes - Berserk Deluxe. It's paperback, pages are bigger and, yeah, that's all I know. First one's out in just a few days, second will be released in July and the third's coming in November, with more on the way.
If you're aiming on picking up volume 1, I recommend going here on Amazon as the price is down to 35 USD, (shipping not included, but still).
Working on the final details of it now. I need a day to enact the final notes I have to make sure it's presentable for the public. With any luck, it will be this week.
BTW here are the previous chapters: https://vimeo.com/album/2610343/video/79039155
A fan edit combining both the movies and the anime into four films to more accurately represent the manga, cut out all the filler and poor decisions, and feel more like a series of movies. Links:
Well since you mentioned it, here's the fanedit I made using the new series and the old, restoring the gaps in the story the new one had and taking it beyond where the original went. Best way to watch them in my opinion.
They've expressed interest in doing more. At one point, the head of the animation studio said the next arc would be Lost Children (even though Miura wanted to do Black Swordsman): http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interview/2012-08-30/interview-eiko-tanaka
But there's been zero official news since the release of the third movie. I tend to think it's done.
So it's a start. Unfortunately the software gets rid of pigtails but I can see someone with photoshop skills taking it further after getting the likeness down more.
Yep, and in Berserk, Dwarves are a kind of Elf (the word in Japanese is Yousei ).
Elves encompass several species: Dwarves — earth-affinity elves, introduced in Vol 14, where we even get a little silhouette of them, and Piskies — wind-affinity elves, which Puck is a member of. We haven't seen water- or fire-affinity elves yet, but that's sure to come in Elfhelm.
Here's what I did:
1) Found a low resolution image.
2) Added a bit more to what he's sitting on and vectorized it.
3) Brought a PDF of vector image to Office Max where I had them print it at 36 x 24.
4) Purchased frame from same store.
Here's a link to the PDF I had them print: http://www.sendspace.com/file/tuy4se
Yep, it's available on Amazon for Kindle and and Comixology. Those are shared purchases (buy it one place, get it on the other). I read mine pretty much exclusively through the Comixology app, because my Kindle is just a paperwhite. Not great for manga.
Just a word of caution, these regularly go on sale for half off or more. Just a month or two ago they were $4 each on Amazon.
There's a few comic book bibles, they just lack in the Frank Miller grittiness / violence.
https://www.amazon.com/The-Action-Bible/dp/083077744X/
I had something like this as a kid, and let me fucking tell you that "action" slows way the hell down with the New Testament.
It's a collector's edition, but it's Blu-ray. I don't have one yet but I think it has at least the dub, so subtitles should be there too I think. Link here to Amazon page here

I always use amazon. I reccomend buying berserk deluxe edition first. Its a premium hardcover book that comes with the first three volumes. Its pretty cheap right now at about 27$ nearly half the usual price.
Berserk Deluxe Volume 1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/1506711987/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_kFw3CbEB9KH1C
That's actually not terrible for the Box of War set considering that it's a limited edition box that has been out of print for ages. I would definitely make sure of the condition it's in before considering buying it though. Some of the ones I've seen listed for "cheap" in the past were in pretty rough condition since it's such an old set. But all of that aside, the one drawback of that set is that it's an older release. There was a remastered release that came out later on, and you can buy it on Amazon for $68 brand new.
That's pretty much the only practical way to own the 1997 series in North America at the moment. There was a Bluray re-release in Japan and the UK, but the Japanese release doesn't have English audio (the dub is actually really good), and the UK release went out of print and is region locked to boot. The UK publisher is doing a steel case version soon, so if you have some means of bypassing region lock and want to own the series on Bluray, then that's your best bet.
I would recommend either:
the Deluxe Volume 1 physical copy for about $35 which includes the first 3 volumes,
or you can buy the first 4 volumes from Dark Horse digital for $30.
While you get more story and content for a lower price going the digital route, with the physical deluxe edition you at least have the option of re-selling it at a decent price, if it doesn't suit your fancy.
You could try going the free route, but quality suffers quite a bit from poor scans and translations.
Either way, first 3 volumes at a minimum before reserving judgement. Volume 3 does end in a middle of an important event, though, just as a warning.
It looks like you can get digital volumes through Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Berserk-1-Kentaro-Miura-ebook/dp/B073ZJV2VG/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1601846671&sr=8-4 for $4 per volume - there are currently 40 volumes.
The official English translator is Dark Horse and their website lists the digital volumes at around $9 per volume, I am not sure why they are so much more than what you can get on amazon.
The standard print paperback volumes are usually like $12-$14 and the new deluxe editions (which are much larger prints that combine 3 volumes) usually go for $33-$45.
To know your Enemy, you must become your Enemy. This is sometimes attributed to Sun Tzu in combination with the above quote, as well as alone, but it too has not been sourced to any published translation of The Art of War, though it is similar in concept to his famous statement in Ch. 3 : "It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles..." https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Sun_Tzu
No problem. It may also help to read a book called The Writer's Journey. Nearly all of the story points/structure (The Mono-myth) you'll need to know are laid out perfectly and easily in this book. http://www.amazon.com/Writers-Journey-Mythic-Structure-3rd/dp/193290736X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1423788477&sr=8-1&keywords=writer%27s+journey
I did many things to get this look
Start here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anddoes.launcher&hl=en https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.natewren.linesfree&hl=en
Try messing around with launcher settings and you can get used to theming pretty quickly :) To replace/change your buttons and other system elements, you need to be rooted. (not a big deal but make sure you understand it before you do it cause it can mess up your phone if not done properly)
also: check out r/androidthemes you might like it :)
Its a really nice program. I'm not sure when you got yours, but they have a version 2 up on their website. You'll also wanna make sure you grab the M15 templates and the new fonts. Those are both sourceforge auto-download links.
If you'd rather not fool with the program, I can make the cards and upload them to imgur for us to look at as we bounce ideas back and forth.
Griffith summoned them unconsciously, basically when the owner of a Behelit is at his lowest, most desperate point the Behelit activates. The God Hand manipulate causality to fit their aims, so it occurring on the Eclipse is no coincidence. From a high level, they are the writers of events in the world. Notice all the convenient coincidences that happened to Griffith in his favor? They were pushing him towards this the whole time.
Zodd is an apostle, much like the ones that massacred everyone at the eclipse, however he has his own motivations. He was likely a very strong warrior before he became an apostle, and he wanders the battlefield in order to find someone truly challenging. He's probably the toughest Apostle and knew the Skeleton King (Skull Knight) long ago. Speculation is that he was once very much like Guts and taken under Skull Knights wing, but it all went bad.
The manga will fill in a lot of these blanks. If you want a version of the movies with a lot more backstory, I've created the Berserk Redux fan edit that combines the movies with the anime to flesh out the story:
I wasn't lying. I think I might have just confused it with this - http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-03-10/berserk-manga-slated-to-resume-on-april-11 - which I came across a while back. It was probably just preconcious wishful thinking that made me assume it said it was going to be released once a week.
They've expressed interest in doing more.
Keep in mind that 99% of the things you've seen were made by someone else. The credit goes completely to https://www.behance.net/rexmk I just kinda stole the images and put them together in a way that makes them look like the Berserk game I would make.
If you live in the US, Rightstuf has them available, and if you don't spend the $50 for free shipping I think shipping is only around like $4:
And if you live outside the US, Book Depository has them available, except vol. 5:
I just checked Volumes 1-4 and they're all DH scans. Apparently things start to go south around Volume 5.
I was unaware of this since I've never read the manga online.
I just remember checking the first volume for DH scans and assuming that the uploaders followed through with the rest of the volumes as well.
My bad.
Anyways, to make up for it, here's a link to the full DH scans collection.
I recommend Deluge when choosing a Windows torrent client. Similar torrent client apps are also available for Android and iDevices for those without access to computers. Of course, either way, you're going to need a little over 7GB of free space.
If you don't have the space on mobile and/or don't have regular access to a computer, I strongly recommend buying the books rather than reading the scanlations.
It's honestly a completely different experience, and of course, your purchase also helps support the author.
>Theres a little inkling indicating that the moon and what most likely is the demon child are connected.
They're only "connected" in so far that the enhanced magical power inherent during full moons (explained by Schierke in Vol 28) allows the child to exert control over Griffith's body. Though truly, it's the child's body that Femto possessed to begin with.
As for the lunar eclipse thing, a few things. First of all, Eclipses in Berserk are pretty special. The series is set in a fantasy world where these demonic events happen every 216 years like clockwork. In our world, of course cosmological events don't align with the affairs of demons (at least, we don't think they do!). And since a separate, special eclipse has never been mentioned, I wouldn't put too much stock in a lunar eclipse.
Also, there's really just one word used for the phenomenon in Berserk: Shoku (蝕 ). The choice for that word means Miura isn't distinguishing between lunar or solar events.
Everyone here seems to be giving good advice. Read the manga. From the beginning.
HiRes DH Scans 1-35 for download if you'd like. Also, use a client like Deluge; trying to download with a few other popular clients won't work.
I've previously posted this overview a few times now. Its a short explanation of how the manga's storyline works in comparison to the animations and when I first started reading the manga, it took me a while to completely figure it out.
I feel that new readers should be aware so I'll copy and paste it here:
>The manga starts off with the Black Swordsman Arc (manga volumes 1-3) which the anime basically gives you a rough sneak peak of in the beginning.
>(However, keep in mind that if you saw the anime and read the manga, you'll know that Griffith is no longer a part of the physical world at this point, even though they imply it in the anime which was apparently a mistake.)
>Then it goes on to trigger a very long flashback of everything that happened in the past leading up to the Eclipse including what happens immediately afterwards (last chapter of Vol. 3 + Vol. 4-14) which is what the movies as well as the majority of the anime is all about.
>However, the anime stops right before the Eclipse ends and the movies continue to show a little bit of what happens after the Eclipse, but neither show all the content from the manga.
>A little less than halfway through vol. 14, the manga jumps back to whats going on during present time and resumes from where it left off (after what happened in vol. 1-3 The Black Swordsman Arc).
>Then it basically just continues to progress and thus, the real start of the story begins.
It's available on Amazon for Kindle and and Comixology. Those are shared purchases (buy it one place, get it on the other). I read mine pretty much exclusively through the Comixology app, because my Kindle is just a paperwhite. Not great for manga.
These regularly go on sale for half off or more. Just a month or two ago they were $4 each on Amazon.
The only Berserk anime I liked and would recommend is the 1997 version. All the episodes are on YouTube! The dub is surprisingly really good and the sound track is great. It’s important to know that each anime adaptation has its own problems and leaves out a lot in regards to the story.
As for manga, I’m waiting to get paid this weekend to start my journey. From stuff I’ve read online, a good way of reading the manga is through the volume collection. Click here: berserk manga volume 1 to see what I’m talking about.
Overall, I’ve fallen in love with the lore and the incredible story of Berserk. I’ve never been so anxious to read a manga before! I hope this was helpful.
It's a limited edition of the recently translated from French (I think...) "Berserk: Written in Darkness" analysis of Berserk.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/2377842763/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_PBG3V4J364QE8VM0Z43Q
Amazon! I was a bit weary with the brand new seller, but the product brand has good ratings so I took a chance, and it actually came a lot sooner than expected! About 15 days, but here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RNBVWC5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_3Y6aGbBQKN7DN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It is not some limited time thing as far as I know. CD-Japan just does not keep a large stock of items. They "ran out" the other day I think. If they do again they will just order more when they can.
This is exactly what we're getting in the UK. And on the amazon listing it previously said volumes 1-6 (which is all 25 episodes, they were just split up into 6 volumes when they were released), but since then they changed the listing to Berserk: Collector's Edition and the price has gone down to £35.
Looks like a fan publication IMO Amazon Japan has it super cheap
It comes out february 26 (amazon). Mine has not been shipped yet but it says it will ship soon, cant wait.
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/3741606367/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
We are also getting the "Flame Dragon Knight" novel on mai 21 in germany. This was a big suprise to me :)
You probably looked up the wrong version. I assume you want the german version. On amazon its in stock like you can see when you click on the link:
Here it is on Amazon JP for about $20
You can import this via Buyee.jp, which would probably add about $15-20 in fees+shipping costs.
Really! How interesting! So I actually discovered they had Berserk when I was on holiday in the US, I emailed support back then and asked if I can still view it when I get home. They said yes, books are region restricted for purchasing but if you bought it its permanently on your account and can view it anywhere. What you have to do if you're not in the US is use a VPN that sets your origin country as US. I use TunnelBear free, just go to and look for berserk under dark horse and that should resolve it.
Figma makes a decent inexpensive figure, but supplies tend to dry up and prices increase because of it. The Art of War figures are ok but very basic. Nothing really fancy about them but they might be in your budget.
The Art of War statues are made in incredibly limited quantity. Typically only a couple hundred of each statue are ever made. And while I think they do ship to the US, it's pretty uncommon for them to be bought outside of Japan. They sell for anywhere between $400 - $1000 each when they're new. But once that initial batch of them is made, they sell for top dollar.
edit: Here's the English Art of War page. You'll see the number of copies of each statue created and the running price in yen. http://www.art-of-war.jp/product-list/2
Does this Amazon link work? 😄 You can click on it and it opens up as a large picture that you can download.
I bought it for $15 at Barnes and Noble's website around a month ago. Worth checking out
EDIT: $37 is the cheapest http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/berserk-volume-22-kentaro-miura/1014195748?ean=9781593078638
You can buy the digital edition of Berserk for about $5 per volume. - AMAZON
The most recent releases aren't officially available in English yet. Pirated sources exist and are simple to find, but are restricted from being linked on this subreddit.
As others have said, you do not have a "pretty decent gaming machine". Without an actual video card, your computer is not fit for getting good performance out of games that have modern graphics. An SSD will do nothing to help you since the video card is what's holding you back. On a laptop, there is really nothing you can do to fix this. If you want to get into PC gaming, you should get a desktop so you can actually control the situation and upgrade what needs uprading.
According to the game's store page, it requires a minimum of a Nvidia GTS 450 to run it properly on the lowest settings. Here's a comparison between your computer and the minimum spec: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GeForce-GTS-450-vs-Intel-HD-530-Desktop-Skylake/m7762vsm33102
In the future, use http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri to determine what you can run and what you need.
I used this figure as a base!
https://www.amazon.com/Tamashii-Nations-Bandai-Figuarts-Closed/dp/B07SNJMXKY/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1TQPN40X1JL33&keywords=sh+figuarts+detective+conan&qid=1664253951&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIyLjUwIiwicXNhIjoiMS45NyIsInFzcCI6IjEuMDAifQ%3D%3D&spre... Its an okay base but it’s an import figure with multiple faceplates and hands for $30! I figured it’d suit Serpico well after I saw that
True, Netflix and Crunchyroll EU don't have everything. "I thoguht memorial edition is coming to Netflix and Crunchyroll. No?" is what I wrote top. I am not 100% if they come here or not. I haven't used a VPN with my Crunchyroll so I cannot really answer your question. However with NordVPN from EU to USA or somewhere similar you you should get more anime and maybe memorial edition.
Berserk is a linear story, it's not like Marvel comics where you can buy a comic and enjoy an isolated story a lot of the time. Most mangas are like this.
As such, it's best to read from the start, volume 1.
Prices I can't much help you with. Volume 1 https://www.amazon.com/Berserk-1-Kentaro-Miura-ebook/dp/B073ZJV2VG here covers 224 pages, so volume 1-5 should be a bit over a thousand pages. Should be fine with $70 if you like it (and if you liked the anime, you probably will). I haven't seen all of the '97 anime, it's doesn't show a lot of the gore in the manga, from what I can tell. Rest of the anime I haven't seen.
So yea, if you like the story already and can afford to lose $70, I'd go ahead if I were you. You won't hear much else than "it's worth it!" from this subreddit but... It's worth it.
Manga isn't done yet btw, but even though the creator died, his friends and assistants are working on continuing the story, and IMO it's a pretty good effort and worth reading too.
se puede encontrar en amazon pero tiene una portada diferente
The original Conan the Barbarian stories by Robert E. Howard began the sword and sorcery genre that Berserk belongs to.
REH was literally penpals with H.P. Lovecraft, both authors being published in the pulp magazine "Weird Tales" during their own lifetimes. Unsurprisingly, Conan regularly faces Lovecraftian horrors. Be aware that, like Lovecraft, Howard was pretty racist (it was the 1930s so not shocking) but if you can overlook that (and I couldn't fault anyone who can't) his stories still hold up well in my opinion.
There are various collections but probably the best way to read them IMO is the 3 volume set published by Del Rey. Most importantly they avoid all the alterations and additions or "posthumous collaborations" other writers did with Howard's stories in the decades following his untimely death*. But they also organize the stories in the order in which they were written rather than "chronologically" in Conan's life or in the order they were published. And include a lot of extras like notes REH kept for himself, earlier drafts of stories and summaries of stories he never got to write.
The first volume of the collection is "The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian" https://www.amazon.com/Coming-Conan-Cimmerian-Original-Adventures/dp/0345461517
*He committed suicide at age 30 following his mothers death. H.P. Lovecraft would lament this loss mere months before his own death from cancer at age 46.
Lmfao! I know right?! Welcome to other side, my friend. xD
This is the french edition of Berserk, almost impossible to find it online now except if you're ready to purchase it from scalpers.
https://www.amazon.com/Berserk-41-Collector-Kentaro-Miura/dp/2344053425
It originally costed a bit less than 25 euros.

Si besoin dans la section "occasion" il y en a un comme neuf encore sous blister.
Here's a link to the magazine that will release 365 and 366. It'll be in Japanese, of course:

The time it's going to take for someone to translate it into English depends on whoever gets it, when they get it, and how much there is to translate. It could get translated on the day itself/on the 24th, or a few days after. There's no strict timetable since these are just fan/unofficial translations.
I'm not sure if it's this one, but... its publication date is June 24th.

Best way to support the studio is to buy the volumes from Japan. Also if you wanna buy the magazine that will contain the next 2 chapters, the preorders are already available:

No problem. It is a type of drawing item. It puts down white instead on gray or black.
Lots of local libraries have a surprising number of graphic novels / manga.
They also have dope digital versions if you use the app

I'm not sure if this works for Canada, but I check this page everyday for the past few months to buy them. I'm at ~$244 USD (got two volumes gifted) and I'm only missing volume 6.
They are the standard and limited edition of Berserk: Written in Darkness.

Here is a poll ,where the golden age is on second place by a wide margin r/https://www.strawpoll.me/6497938
Also i can't really take you seriously ,since your opinions are for the most part inconsistent.....I remember that you once made a post saying that vinland saga only gets better after the prologue arc......However,after some time you wrote the opposite saying that the first arc of vs shits on the rest
You also said that the troll mini arc was the last good part of berserk...However,in another thread, you mentioned that vol 34 is the best vol since the eclipse, which happened after the troll story...(you also wrote that griffiths campaign was the only good/redeeming part of the MF arc)And here you wrote that berserk is garbage after the conviction arc ...thus you are contradicting yourself(And don't tell me that every individual is allowed to change his opinion or bs like that)
Btw ,you mentioned that Thorfinn is now a bland copy of his father as well (another reason as to why your opinion is worthless to me)
Have a nice life

Ah, I did not know that. Even though it says he's the Comcept founder right in the article. ¯\(ツ)/¯
Also, I'm pretty sure it's a game from what people on the forum for that article are saying. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2978774
Obviously I'm biased, but I would say absolutely.
I'd say we're about 3/4 of the way.
If you don't mind digital, the series is currently on sale for only $5 a pop at comixology until April 30th, so now would be a great time to try it.
