QBittorrent, Transmission-QT and Deluge are the ones I'd recommend personally depending on your needs. QBittorrent is basically Utorrent without the crap, Transmission-QT is really lightweight, and Deluge has some great remote management features.

µTorrent's author actually pronounces it as you-Torrent, but he considers micro-Torrent to be equally legitimate. Despite knowing that the µ is not actually u, I do the same since the latter has fewer syllables, though I guess I could switch to mu-Torrent and have the best of both. I also prefer nuh-vidia to en-vidia (the latter being official) and jif to gif (the former being official) so I'm probably a heathen or something. It's ultimately all pretty silly though.
