I got it a while ago - I was inspired by some builds I saw using a separate monitor to display CPU/GPU temps inside their case. I pretty much only use it to have NZXT CAM on it lol.

Helps it roll better everywhere, I'll never go back to caster wheels... I actually get annoyed now when I use regular office chairs that can't glide around floors as easily. These are what I have. :)
Its the Cougar Conquer case, This one is Painted, it typically come sin a Black/Orange Paint Scheme with smoked glass on either side. it is here on amazon.

Let me know if you have any other questions! Awesome name btw.
Apple OSX, running on hardware NOT provided by Apple.
https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/ http://www.tonymacx86.com/
"Technically" it is illegal(breaking Apple's TOS. But it is popular for people who prefer the OSX interface and functionality, but want real up to date hardware and performance, or want to save about $1000 on apples-to-apples hardware.
I highly suggest you upgrade your wheels to this style and lose the plastic mat.

Sure, so yeah, mostly just take your time. Zip ties are the ideal for stuff you're sure won't be moving (use wirecutters to chop off the extra length after securing it) but the velcro straps that come with e.g. a PSU are better for most other things.
Under the desk I'm using a couple of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y1DVNQD
Really like em and makes it easy to add more cables to the mix without redoing everything.
Should get a desktop length moussed to cover enough ground in order to accommodate the mouse and keyboard :D

My reasoning to go with the vertical mount was because I had the 22" from before and didn't want it to go to waste. Mount cost about $40 from Amazon, made by Vivo. Edit: many have asked about the mount, it's this one here. There's a shelf just a few inches below the top of the desk where I rest the stand.
Computer cost was around $900 for the case and parts, got some really great deals, some of which were bought on Craigslist, at Micro Center, and of course stalking r/buildapcsales. It's also a Hackintosh dual boot build, running 10.12.5 Sierra.
For people asking about the hooks/pulleys, here are the ones I got recently that look like they might be the same set OP used. Very easy set-up. My only warning is to make sure you know where you want the hooks to be before you put them on, because the adhesive is very strong (like risk of peeling paint strong).

Do you know which piece or pieces are receiving the most heat? If not, I highly recommend HWinfo. It was a godsend when trying to figure out what was heating up in my own case and I found out it was my video card.
It's a pretty easy and comprehensive tool! Best of luck on your path forward.

Hell yeah man. Not stupid at all. You should be proud of this space! And you fucking Tetris-ed the fuck out of that couch back there so be even more proud!
If I could suggest one thing, look into getting a little bookshelf for your pc and PS4. We have similar setups and I got a bookshelf to hold my PS4 and PC and it fits that case perfectly (fractal define r4?). Here is the link to amazon
Anyway, great setup and enjoy the space!
Looks nice and cozy :) I think because the counter is so thicc, it may look good with furniture risers like these to get some negative space. But that could also make it too tall...
It's wasn't too bad, just needed some patience and lots of googling if issues pop up for your specfic hardware. I used guides from tonymacx86 and skylineosx Probably took me about 2-3 hours in total to install and debug.
I used a vinyl wrap. I can't find the exact one I bought but this one is close. Just make sure it's bigger than your panel and you should be good.
Did some googlin' and found that really cool pencil cup! I've never seen one like it, really cool OP. I'll be picking one up!

I think the idea of wireless input lag is generally overblown, but with Bluetooth the lag can be noticeable, enough for even a slowpoke like me to make a mistake or two. If you want a wireless mechanical that's made for gaming, both Logitech and Corsair make models that use proprietary high-speed RF connections. I'd go with the Corsair over the Logitech, just because it uses standard Cherry-style switches.
https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Wireless-Mechanical-Keyboard-Backlit/dp/B077ZX9KJ7

Thanks! Well I have used a 32" 4K monitor without scaling and 32" for me is as small you can go without scaling. 40" works great without scaling. I don't code , but i do use Lightroom and Photoshop. And i love it. The mouse is OK, I have had some issues with it. If it was to far away away from the base station it would lag. And when that happend I didn't think it was that far away (< 1m) But that could be some interference. The rubber things on the isde is starting to come of, so if I would buy a new mouse today i wouldn't have chosen the mamba.

Rubber roller skate chair wheels. Rubber chair wheels. Roller skate chair wheels. Something like that..you want the ones that look like wheels that would go on inline skates. Edit: here is a link for the sets we recently purchased for our meeting space: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N2T1IBU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_L5OQzbKVDN1T1 (on mobile so go easy on me).
Cheaper than a mat (bought my first set for my office around $35 but later bought some sets for the office meeting space for around $19 and they were almost identical to the expensive set).
You can thank me later.. it's so much better than a heavy, ugly mat; you can literally fly around your house on them and they are smooth as a baby's bottom.
Most of them are see-thru but some companies make tinted variations for users with a theme. The default see-thru ones look great on black or silver metal chairs against hardwood floors and go great with my black/grey/silver/rbg setup.
Edit edit: had some questions, no they don't look goofy at all. They look like they would look funny, but they're surprisingly sleek and professional looking when attached to the chair. They do increase the height of your chair a bit compared to normal casters; you can purchase smaller sized ones but their reviews aren't as good for stability/durability/etc. so I'd stick with the height that is most mass produced
I wouldn't call them "bezelless" since they're usually just LCD panels without a case. There are some that come with cases, but they tend to have pretty thick bezels. I don't think it'd be a huge stretch to put one of these in a computer tower for this same kind of display, though.
Here's one that I like: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L6YXZLY

I didn't finish college, or study any of what I currently do at school. It was all forums, reading, videos, practice, failing, getting up and trying again. and I wasn't born with a silver spoon either, my parents are immigrants from Cuba, we lived in a 1 room fucking shack in Hialeah, FL my whole childhood pretty much! Just fancy fan controllers basically.
Both the cases and the controllers are of medium-ish quality, I'd probably have gone for a case with a thicker cut of metal (more sturdy), and the fan controllers gave me a few problems early on and had to swap one out within 2 months of buying it, but now they seem to have settled.

From a fellow developer who appreciates unending amounts of screen real estate and hates minimizing things, check out VirtuaWin if you haven't heard of it. It's a window manager that provides Linux style work spaces. I personally use a workspace for dev, a workspace for vm's and database inspection, a vm for testing, and one for email/calender/chat (I've used as many as 6 spaces. I also suggest checking out WinSplit, it's essentially Windows snap on steroids... My OCD and massive amount of Windows and spec docs required approves

EleTab Dual Monitor Desk Mount Stand
They work well enough. I don't have anything to really compare to. The arm movement is pretty smooth but pitching the screen requires a lot of force.
Got a new monitor that's 1080p and 75Hz for $89 on Amazon: Acer SB220Q bi 21.5" Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS Ultra-Thin Zero Frame Monitor.
The color is incredible since it's an IPS display, and for me it's a perfect screen size, since it's not too big or small, and since I personally can't tell the difference in this size between 4K and 1080p.
The base is a little larger than I'd like, but it's not wobbly and there is a universal mount on the back if you prefer to use your own custom stand.
