The John Jackson Miller novel, Kenobi, handles this really well. It's effectively a Western, set on Tatooine in the early years after Revenge of the Sith, with Obi-Wan as a sort of lone ranger figure caught up in a developing conflict between the settlers and Tusken raiders.

It's no longer canon, but they've reintroduced plenty of other EU plots and characters since the canon wipe (e.g. Thrawn). If they decided to heavily rip-off the novel for the TV show then I'd be thrilled.

She ends up betraying him because she assumes Vader killed Anakin and Padme on Mustafar. He lets her live though. He also ends up on Polis Massa, gets to see her final words (Theres still good in him) and then he heads back to Corusant where he meets with ol Sheev for the first time since the ending of Empire Strikes Back. Unsurprisingly, Sidious is not happy with his failure to turn Luke and the fact that he went off on his own mission and allowed Sabe to escape. For that, he gets the shit kicked out of him and thrown back on Mustafar without most of his limbs and he must fight his way back as a test. These events take place in the current issues.

It's an annotated script of A New Hope , Empire and Jedi. Keeping in mind Lawrence Kasdan (co)wrote Empire and Jedi, you will also find that all the great, witty lines from A New Hope have an asterisk and are attributed to Willard Huyck and Gloria Katz. Lucas seems great at writing the mystical, philosophical dialogue that we hear from Obi-wan and Yoda but not at sprinkling in humor.

Big picture, George Lucas is awesome but he is not good and writing scrips or directing actors.

Interestingly, in the interviews for the annotated script book Lucas said that he always wanted foils. Every character has someone they are in conflict with: R2D2/C3PO, Han/Obi-wan, Luke/Han and Leia/Han. These continue throughout the trilogy but was missing from prequels...especially from TPM. Everyone gets along too well.

Lucas has also stated that he cast ANH in ensembles. He found the three actors (Harrison Ford, Mark Hamil and Carrie Fisher) who worked best together. The prequels were cast with known, successful actors.

So I always wondered why he didn't repeat the formula that worked for him so successfully before.

Right now anyone using for example Private Internet Access and using their Midwest server is going to appear to have the same IP address. That’s the whole point of having a vpn (well, one of them). After a while the big sites recognize the patterns and can tell you’re using a vpn (it’s why some sites like Netflix will block you from watching videos if you’re on an older established VPN server.)

So if you’re reddit, it looks like you have tens of thousands of accounts all coming from one house. You can’t just use IP to distinguish that one guy is using 10 accounts to like his own posts.

Sure you can use a complicated and costly algorithm to search through the hundreds of millions of votes every day to try to distinguish which are bots. And reddit works hard to do that... but they’re focused on when someone upvotes a post 1000x Times to try to increase or suppress a post, they don’t care about something petty like the jerk who uses an alt account to downvote you in an argument.

There’s actually a really cool book that I have called The Jedi Path that contains tons of in-depth stuff including each lightsaber form, I believe.

I think it was so you could attach them to vehicles like the STAP-1 from Episode 1. Also the early Lego blasters were very simple and intended to be used also on different vehicles or buildings. Once those disappeared in Star Wars media, and the Lego blasters became more detailed, they slowly changed it to a vertical grip.

Yes, Star Wars survived the admittedly bad prequel movies. However, people here seem to forget how: merchandise. Video games, toys, comics, novels, and everything else that had the soul of Star Wars were still insanely popular and flying off shelves despite a bad film here and there between 1999 and 2005. Bottom line: the Prequels were bad but they still sold merchandise.

The Sequels are NOT selling merchandise. The video game scene is in shambles, toy sales are in a nosedive, and even if the books and comics were successful, they just don't have enough customers to close the gap. All we have are the movies, and if those continue their current course, well, go read literally everything I've already said. Star Wars desperately needs a course correction. the issue in general isnt if you lose your password to someone due to your own lack of carefulness, the issue is if a website you are signed up on gets their userinfo dumped through their poor security.

you can sign up for a newsletter there which will automatically warn you if that email is present in a public leak.

According to disney, the 3d clone wars overtakes everything, in both their new timeline and the old EU, but I have little reason to believe anything they say as cannon. And there are multiple problems with trying to keep both 3d clone wars and most of the rest of the prequel era EU. Regardless, it's all fictional, and you can follow what you want. I personally think there are too many stories to keep one timeline, and I think of star wars media as more of a collection of ideas, with all the stories being alternate depictions of the main universe.

Vanced is a modified version of YouTube that allows you to watch ad-free, picture-in-picture (i.e., you can watch while using other apps), and can even watch while your phone is off (if you just want to listen).

They also have a modified version of YouTube music that allows you to listen to any song you want, ad-free.

The major drawback to Vanced is that you can't download videos or songs, you still need a legitimate Premium subscription to do that. Not only that, but as of now it's only available for Android.

VLC is a media player app that most people (that is, most people who download and watch stuff) use instead of the built in media players like QuickTime Player for Mac and Windows Media Player for windows. It is open-source and allows playback of virtually any file type. It also has an option to "Open URL." If you click this link, you will see a download button. If you right click the download button, you can copy the attached link. Paste that link into VLC's "Open URL" and it will stream the movie without downloading it.
