This has been a common and recurring problem with the game's launcher over the years. Major patches seem to have a way of bringing it back.
Fortunately, this means there have been lots of threads on the official forum and elsewhere, where players have been able to share what worked for them.
Having some idea of what to look for, I found a forum thread from March of this year where someone posted a fix that seemed to work for a lot of other players. I've seen the same advice come up in years past, so it can probably be considered tried and true.
Quote from the helpful poster:
"I deleted the Eualas folder, and the version files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\ directory
file names like "patcher2021.version" and "patcher2020.version"

Good luck!
Yes this happens on the daily and you won't get the promised credits plus for the duration of your subscription he will get cartel coins as well. And bioware can't do anything about it it because it's not against TOS. Read more about it here:
Star Wars: The Old Republic. It's a really great game IMO. Here's the link to the game's website. 60% of the game is basically free, then you have to pay 1 month of subscription (15 dollars?) to play the rest. The best part is that you don't need a good computer to play it, you can make it looks like KOTOR graphics if you want lol
What they said was something every week or two on the website. The most recent website post was a well written short story Seeing Red. Next week is supposed to be an interview with one of the devs about developing the game followed by a retrospective on Manaan the following week.
Regarding in game updates, I don't recall if they said anything about those. Although there were crumbs in some datamined files indicating that the next short quest is being worked on. It might be the only one before LotS or there could be another, but we don't have enough information to know for sure at this point.
Yeah, but what they did not tell you is that they are doubling the personal Conquest goal to 100k, as seen on the PTS and not denied by David Staats in a recent post when the change was brought to light on the forums.

>Sure thing, I can hit both of those! Weapon shells will NOT have amplifiers while they are not available in Outfitter.
Does this mean weapons are coming to the outfitter in the near future?
Also, the Merciless Seeker's set can drop from the Eyeless Rakghoul event boss, although the drop rate must be very low.
>My question is how is the community response to the upcoming changes so far?
Everything. Some seem to like it, some hate it, some are in the middle.
>What is the games content cycle like for patches and such?
https://www.swtor.com/patchnotes
You can see update frequency here. Single decimal (6.1, 6.2, 6.3 etc) are the ones where we get new content. The ones with two decimals or letters are bug fixes and stuff.
Currently removed from the vendor (along with all other companion rewards on the vendor) due to a bug that made her not be usable if you had gotten to KotFE. She will be restored to the vendor in a future patch.
In the next patch they will be simplifying the vendor's inventory rotation, and she will be in the Group D week inventory.
There have been no further information other than....
Anything more than that is either speculation or just made up. If you wish to know more, please look at the SWTOR Dev tracker. https://www.swtor.com/community/devtracker.php
I think OP was probably referring to this PTS post in which they said
>flexibility in ability choices will be heavily restricted for this first phase of testing
I read it as removing the fixed loadouts in future phases, so we may be more "free" to choose the abilities we want, while still keeping the general goal or removing abilities from all classes.
No idea how they intend to achieve that, I still feel like they are totally out of touch with how the game actually plays.
“You just need to reach Light V or Dark V once in your legacy, then you'll be given the option on all characters (even new ones) to pick opposite faction combat style. Most experienced players have already reached these milestones and won't notice any restrictions.”

>[H]as anyone heard or seen anything in relation to new content for the upcoming year?
Not as of yet. There are two probable reasons as to why.
I, personally, feel that both are valid options and are not mutually exclusive to one another (aka, they both could be right). Last year, people were in a 'panic' as Kotaku article made it sound like SWTOR was very close to having the servers yanked out. No one from the Dev team made a comment either way which added more fuel to the fire.
Finally, Keith made a post on 1/26/2018 and said the following as to why there was little communication in Dec 2017 and Jan 2018.
> For the many of you who have asked privately, yes, I'm doing great, but December and January are typically very busy months for us with all the planning activities.
https://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=9526850&postcount=1
So, I would assume that the same thing applies to 2019 and that we could see the first roadmap around mid-February which is when the first 2018 roadmap came out.
There was a dev note today that with 7.0 we will get titles for the sets we've completely collected. So that's not much but it's something.
I highly doubt it because the Foundation books don't follow the hero's journey formula that nearly every other story follows like LOTR. It's more like fake history anthology. We, the people who enjoy that kind of stuff, are very rare and few. You'd have to present it as a fake documentary in order to stay true to the books like this https://www.swtor.com/holonet/galactic-history Goyer said that he tried pitching it this way, but everyone shot it down quickly. Guess why? Fake sci-fi documentaries are not things that draw a ton of people to a new streaming service.
So these are from the test server. They are not that surprising based on the other classes we've seen so far. You will have to choose one of the three presented at any given time. You can see more on the PTS yourself here is more info: https://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=308

DPS: Shae Vizla is the highest DPS companion in the game right now, parsing over 10k on a dummy, due to a major bonus to her AOE skill.
Companions with 2 light sabers parse 8900+ such as Master Ranos, Ashara or Veeroa (Veeroa gets a very minor bonus from darkside not having a delay on kill shot). D-R3D does not channel his AOE attack (bug) so his dps is slightly less.
Any companion with 2 blaster Pistols will be excellent for DPS, parsing 8600+.
Q0-77, Nico, Vette, Hamdil Tre, Theron Shan, Andronikos Revel and Ensign Temple (before her respawn) all use 2 blaster pistols and are top Ranged DPS after Shae.

Greetings from up North!
My name’s Jay, and I’ve been with BioWare since the days of Neverwinter Nights. The last 12+ years have been spent on the writing side of game development, getting my start on the tail end of Mass Effect 2. About a year and half ago, I jumped at the chance to work with the talented SWTOR team down in Austin and haven’t looked back.
For a kid that grew up playing with Star Wars action figures, it’s been a tremendous privilege of adding a few of my own stories to the vast Star Wars universe. Two of my favorite new characters - Jekiah and Rass Ordo - were introduced in the flashpoint, Spirit of Vengeance.
But trouble never left an Ordo alone for very long. Left to oversee the Mandalorians after Shae Vizla begins her hunt for the treacherous Field Marshal Heta Kol, Jekiah faces his first crisis when a conflict between two clans turns bloody in the short story “Seeing Red.”
Hope you enjoy it.

The droid was only for players affected by a bug in the Nathema Conspiracy that made the game forget their marriage proposal. It only affected that bug in Nathema, which has been repaired. It didn't allow anyone to reinstate a romance that was bugged somewhere else. There are still numerous other bugs with the game locking players out of the romance with Lana that have not been fixed.
This is the original post on the droid.

I've seen no indication of any plans to change the prices, so they should be the same as the originally announced prices. Everyone is 5 tokens, except for Master Ranos who is 6 tokens.
Seems like this is a p common question so you’re def not alone in the struggle. Does this thread help?

Vulkk also has a guide to defeating Vaylin that focuses on heavily on the importance of staying in melee range. Good luck!
I think you're confused, this isn't really about just a new tier for the upcoming expansion.
>The Spoils of War
>Our philosophy for this expansion is, play your way. Items have always been an important part of your character’s identity, but for the first time we are offering true depth and choice with exciting new items that let you decide how to play in the upcoming battle.
>One of the ways that we’re adding this depth is with an entirely new type of gear slot – Tactical items. These build-defining items directly alter your abilities and playstyle. Taking these new items, players will be able to pair them with numerous new set bonuses to choose from, including general sets that can be used by everyone.
>These item sets can be acquired through multiple paths. Acquire your gear no matter how you choose to play: Player vs Environment, Player vs Player, Galactic Command, and Crafting are all viable. New set items, Tactical items, and more open a pathway to limitless depth allowing you to play your character exactly how you want!

Spend them now (and over the summer), no point holding onto them.
So, when you skip past KotFE/KotET to Ossus, these are the choices that are automatically made. The only thing doing this won't bypass are the Star Fortresses, but they really aren't necessary to finish.
Personally, contrary to what some players say, I never had a problem playing through KotFE/KotET with my Smuggler (He was the first character I played through the KotXX Expansions), of course I played it as he knew everything was ridiculous, but just went along with it to flirt with Lana at the worst times.
TBH, I briefly tried going on the PTS yesterday, and half the things weren't working.
In the past though, they said you get to re-pick your primary style for current characters... so unless that's changed you'll be able to make your BH an operative, though as pref you won't get to have a second class.
From a past Dev post;
> If you have an existing character when Legacy of the Sith launches, when you log into the game, you will be able to choose a Combat Style immediately. You can choose a Combat Style similar to your previous Advanced Class or choose something new. The choice is yours!

Unfortunately, yeah, you'll have to wait. The last Rakghoul event ran in mid-December, so it'll be a few weeks (probably?) before it runs again. You can check upcoming events here:

This Rakghoul event is on Corellia: https://www.swtor.com/info/in-game-events. The title incorrectly says Tatooine, but the body text correctly says Corellia. Wanted to flag in case there was any confusion.
Hey everyone,
I just recently started getting into achievements (took me long enough, lol), and I ran across the Imperial Beastmaster of Balmorra, which requires me to kill a mutated colicoid. According to everything I've found online (including something as recent as September '21 on the official SWTOR forum), I need to navigate to the position I'm at in the first two pictures. I also managed to locate and kill a mutated colicoid drone with my companion (the location of the colicoid is highlighted in red in the last picture), but I didn't get credit for it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers!
>This isn’t quite right. You can’t do a faction locked tech class, meaning on the imperial side, you can be an agent with merc combat styles, not commando.
Actually your "this isn't quite right" isn't quite right. Tech Power characters will be able to select from all 8 Tech Power combat styles. So yes, an Imperial Agent could select combat styles currently associated with Republic (Tech Power) characters (Commando, Vanguard, Scoundrel, Gunslinger) in addition to the combat styles currently associated with Imperial (Tech Power) combat styles (Operative, Sniper, Powertech, Mercenary)

Steam is good for non regular purchases, like buying Cartel Coins, but can be crap at regular purchases (Like subscriptions)
Too many people have had a disconnect between EA and Valve when it comes to buying a subscription when the subscription doesn't go through properly and the money is still taken from the person's account.
I think one player previously, on this Reddit sub, tried to take it up with both Steam and EA (Using customer service) and got their account banned for non existent fraud.
It's easier and saver to go to the SWTOR website (https://www.swtor.com/) and buy your subscription directly through your account page.
It depends.
Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic 2 are the games which lead into SWTOR, set 300 years before. Obviously that's about 60+ hours of your time so you may not want to do that.
The Old Republic: Revan is a bridging novel that is set between the Kotor games and SWTOR.
The Old Republic: Deceived book is set just before the SWTOR and has very wide acclaim.
The game itself is set 3600ish years before the films. Broadly speaking you have some common themes: Republic Vs Empire, Jedi Vs Sith.
https://www.swtor.com/info/setting - this link will give you the immediate description of the setting preceding the game's start.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojeoI1nSWeQ
This is some early clips giving you some very dry but educational breakdown of galactic events leading up to the game's start. Originally published on the game's website.
My recommendation would be:
Read the website link
Watch the YouTube video
That should be enough, but it you want more, read Revan and Deceived
There are also three other books set during the game's time period:
Fatal Alliance Red Harvest Annihilation
I've not read them, mixed reviews.
Personally I have felt that as someone who's been a die hard star wars fan of 15 years when I first tried playing SWTOR, I was very confused about the setting until I started actually playing, and I thought the game did a decent job explaining it
Here's the one for KOTET: https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=956483
You can skip them both without using a character boost by getting to level 70, then using your ships holoterm or something.
Back when Shadow of Revan came out they did an experience boost for Class story missions. You could basically reach max level and only have to do a few side quests.
No, it was subscription based from Day 1. The physical box came with 30 days of game time, but you would still have to pay for a sub after that. Article from their website 3 months prior to launch:
Doing dailies and weeklies on Onderon and Mek-sha, on top of queueing for flashpoints, on multiple chars if you have them.
The most important thing is passing your highest item level pieces to your alts before opening crates (all max lvl gear is bound to legacy), also from conquest and renown.
That's because what you get from crates depends on what you're wearing, so always equip the highest item level pieces you find regardless of what stats they have.
As for spirit of vengeance, BW wrote on the forums:

Update 6.3.1 will put Jaleit Nall's inventory on a weekly rotation that changes with the Tuesday reset. No official date has been announced for 6.3.1 but considering that Nightlife and double XP are scheduled to start on 29 June I would guess 22 June, one week prior. It has not been stated that 6.31 will have a fix for the companions and see them returned to Jaleit's inventory, but once they are fixed it will be easy to calculate when a particular comp will be available for purchase as they will follow a schedule.
https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9946716#edit9946716
That's not actually true.
You can't change story (stuck with what you made at creation)... but according to their blog you WILL be able to swap classes on first log-in.
This is NOT on the PTS (ergo people saying you won't be able to), but IMHO they just didn't add it to the PTS vs them changing their minds.

They don't seem to be nerfing across the board, from what I've read. They claim to be leveling a few of the bigger conquest achievements but keeping most everything else like Dailies and Heroics the same.
I believe some confusion online was due to how Conquest points shown online from the PTS server didn't reflect what a lot of players see live because the PTS doesn't include Stronghold bonus.
Devs posted this earlier:
>There is some conversation regarding us decreasing the values of Conquest Objectives across the board. While there are some Conquest Objectives which will see some small balance tweaks, they are confined to very specific Objective types (mostly relating to World Bosses and Star Fortresses) and are by no means wide-spread. The Conquest Points for Heroics, Daily Areas, Defeat Enemies 1 and 2, Operations, and nearly 90% of every other Conquest Objective is remaining exactly as you see it on the live server today.
Hi everyone, these automated emails are connected to the October 6th incident post that was made earlier today. Please see here for further details. https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=997749
Back when Renown was first introduced they said this:
> Onslaught will also introduce seasons to Renown. Starting with 6.0, Command ranks will be retired and players will enter the expansion at Renown rank 1. The rank cap is being increased to 999, with future updates likely bumping the cap up even further. With rewards now equally available at any Renown rank, your rank now has no effect on the quality of loot you receive and is solely a way to show off to your Guildmates and at your local cantina. Our intention is that the entirety of the Onslaught expansion cycle will comprise of one “season”, with a new season starting at some time in the distant future.
(The full news article can be found here: https://www.swtor.com/info/news/article/20190603-0 )
That was more than 2 years ago, so who knows if they still intend to stick to that plan. If they do then Renown will still stay around and the level 999 cap will simply be increased.

>Our team is currently looking into it. I'll update the known issues list when I have more info.
Have you read their post?
... because that's literally what the devs said, and where I'm getting this from.
> The way combat styles will work is that every few levels, players will have one of the following occur:
>* Receive a new ability >* Choose from 1 of 3 abilities >* Choose from 1 of 3 passives >* Choose from 1 of 3 passives or abilities
> The A and B markers indicate the two ability path options that are chosen for this phase of PTS.
They even went over the levels (subject to change) and ways this will work for focus guardians... with A/B indications showing the PTS preset loadouts
> ~Level 10 - Gain Ability
>* Focused Burst - Single target burst damage ability.
>~Level 15 - Choose one ability or passive
>* [B] Blade Burst - Blade Storm becomes AoE and slows. >* Saber Throw - Gain the Saber Throw Ability. >* [A] Energy Barrage - Adds Energy Damage to Blade Barrage and it now immobilizes the target.
...so in this part (didn't want to copy the whole thing) at lvl 10 you gain Focused Burst; at 15 you pick either Blade Burst, Saber Throw, or *Energy Barrage... but on the PTS loadouts you only get blade burst or energy barrage as an option, depending on which loadout (a or b) you tell the droid to give you after it boosts you to 75.
They were suppose to add a command crate vendor which is where the Revanite sabers came from in 6.0, but we're still waiting for them to add it.
See this thread.
They listed it as a known issue here recently. Same thing happened to me, was so excited to actually get it then boom, disappointment.
I don't think we have confirmation on that. The mention of Loadouts makes it seem like we can have multiple advanced classes and switch between them, which would likely mean that existing toons can also use this system.
>Or is it only possible upon character creation to choose another class story for a certain class?
It's more the other way round. You choose a class (so faction, story, visuals, etc.) And then choose a combat style (advanced class). So you choose to play someone working for Imp Intelligence (Agent) and then choose to have them use heavy armor and a big gun (commando).
I've wanted this for years. I actually went back onto the official forums to see if I could find it...I did...8 years ago!
So anyway, there's definitely a Scoundrel Bounty Hunter in my future. Possibly a couple of them, even. What can I say? I like Scoundrels. There's also a long-awaited fulfillment of a Guardian Consular coming soon, something I've wanted to pair with Nadia for the longest of times.
I may remake my Marauder as an Assassin, too...not 100% sure on that one (doubly so because apparently animations will be tied to Light/Dark points, and my Marauder's heavily Light, so she couldn't be an "Assassin" if that's true, only a "Shadow").
My biggest tip is don't be afraid to admit that you don't know what you're doing. This is especially true for multiplayer content like Flashpoints (4-man dungeons) and Operations (8/16-man raids). Most of the time, people will automatically assume you know what you're doing when you hop into multiplayer stuff. Even a low level char can be a newly created alt of an experienced player. However, just simply saying "Yo, this is my first time here, please be patient" can have a huge impact. People will be far more willing to slow down and explain mechanics to you.
In general, SWTOR can get pretty complicated. If you need resources to look up information, I tend to rely on Swtorista's Ultimate Guide of Guides. Another common source of information is Vulkk.
For your first char, I would recommend sticking with a DPS discipline for now. It's the easiest and most straightforward way to enjoy general questing and story content. You are also starting during a double xp event, so you'll probably out-level content very quickly. Fortunately, mission/quest payouts (xp/credits etc) are scaled to your level, tho not always the equipment rewards. Easiest way to get good gear scaled to your current level (at least before endgame) is to seek out missions that are labeled as Heroic, which are daily repeatable quests. Each planet should have a few (except for starting planets - most only have one that is repeatable weekly). These specific missions reward loot scaled to your level, up until lvl 60 I believe, which is when they start dropping items used in the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion.
I think that's a PTS only issue.
From their post;
> If you have an existing character when Legacy of the Sith launches, when you log into the game, you will be able to choose a Combat Style immediately. You can choose a Combat Style similar to your previous Advanced Class or choose something new. The choice is yours!
I would take an RP-PVP server, seems to attract a more mature group of pvpers who aren't there to simply gank and troll others. My old SWTOR server was great, Jung Ma. In fact, after a guild member passed away, this happened:
https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=765552
https://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/2hl8m3/there_is_no_death_there_is_the_force/
I've never seen so many in one place and it was the best memorial for a departed player I've ever seen. No one came to troll, and many of those people I spent all my time killing and being killed by them, every day. The only thing that sucked about it, I was so lagged from so many people there I couldn't even type in chat. I've never played with and against a better bunch of people, before or since. And I'll never forget that as long as I live.

Hi all,
Wanted to answer some of the initial questions that came in when we made the first post about the Master Loot change.
Just to confirm, this only affects gear, everything else like decorations, mounts, pets, crafting materials and so on which can drop from content will still be decided via roll?
This will affect everything.
Does this mean that loot is completely distributed randomly and need to be traded thereafter? For example, the nightmare mounts (Wings of the Architect, etc.) will go directly to one player's inventory and need to be traded thereafter?
That is correct.
What happens in case the inventory of the player who is intended receive such loot is full?
Same as the current system. It will stay lootable and the player will have to clear their inventory to loot.
What about unique items such as Crest of the Dread Master?
We will be adjusting the Loot system to such that Unique items can only be given to members of the party that don't already have it. If all members of the party have the Unique item, it will not drop.
What about decorations which currently cannot be traded after someone receives it (Dxun decorations, one of the Izax decorations)?
We are investigating these decorations to ensure they have the 2 hour tradeable loot timer. This will not be in 6.3.2, but we are looking to adjust in a future patch.
Here is a Swtorista video showing how to set a security key. It's a bit old but I'm pretty sure nothing has changed.
If you want it in your computer, this Swtor Forum Thread shows how to do it. It's even more practical than the Mobile one in my opinion. Credits to u/Alortania for showing me that it's possible lol
Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your second question, I'm sorry.
I hope I was helpful, you won't regret getting a Security Key :-)
Take a look at this thread on the forums. It is not official, and I think there are a few places where the order is open to interpretation, but they make a good case.
I would go with three of the four gathering crew skills i.e. Archaeology, Bioanalysis, Scavenging or Slicing. This is because you can find these resources "in the wild" in addition of sending your companions to get them for you, which translates to more resources you can sell and in turn more credits from the GTN.
This is opposed to mission crew skills (Diplomacy, Investigation, Treasure Hunting and Underworld Trading) whose only purpose is for you to send companions on missions to get resources.
Beware some crew skills can be used to create shortcuts in some flashpoints. Now sure which or how often this comes up, but a google search could probably give you the answer. I know both Scavenging and Slicing is used from time to time.
As I understand it, the Steam launcher just run the SWTOR launcher, so there's not much of a difference in that, besides Steam features that other launchers don't have.
Steam also disables bitraider by default, while on SWTOR launcher you have to do it manually: https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=7826333 (unless you use Linux, it's disabled by default there too if you install the game through Lutris).
If you already use Steam it would make sense to use it for SWTOR as well, otherwise it's up to you.
I personally don't use Steam, always used SWTOR launcher even after the Steam release.
Patch notes for tomorrow list Reap the Whirlwind and Search and Rescue to be fixed, as well as The Engineer's Tale and Jungle Flight on Belsavis. (Plus some on Makeb that will hopefully be irrelevant because they'll be fixed before the issue can come up.)
Dailies only give 3 points if u are subbed, for preferred and F2P players, they give 2 points.
Same goes for Weeklies - 8 for Pref and F2P , 12 for Sub
And Login points - 4 for Pref and F2P, 8 for Sub

I assume Weapons and armor are in another round?
Just FYI and I'm just trying to give you helpful advice but Treek is absolutely one the worst healing companion in the game right now.
>Heals/HPS - 1.5mil heals in story mode star fortress: >Level 1, Skadge ,5490 >Level 1, Shae Vizla ,5400 >Level 1, K'lor'slug Soilder ,5300 >Level 1, Ginx ,5525 >Level 1, Treek ,3057 *
>* Died a horrible and painful death before they could get anywhere near 500k heals in the same circumstances that other comps never died.
Companion Optimization, Gearing and Tips
All of her healing abilities have a 10+ second cooldown on them. All of them. This is pretty unique as most other companions can channel heals to you without a cooldown.
Good job solo'ing these heroics using her but if you want an easier time I would recommend using a different companion.

I have no experience with this so I can't really tell you what works and what doesn't but I hope this helps.
In one of their initial announcements here they made it sound like when LoTS launched players would get the initial ability to change their primary combat style.
“If you have an existing character when Legacy of the Sith launches, when you log into the game, you will be able to choose a Combat Style immediately. You can choose a Combat Style similar to your previous Advanced Class or choose something new. The choice is yours!”
Since the 2nd combat style isn’t supposed to be initially granted and must be unlocked, I assumed this meant that everyone gets a baseline change and works towards the second unlock.
Here is one discussion on the SWTOR forums.
Oh yeah you clearly do have them, not sure how I missed them lol.
Yeah A Tale from the Dark Side was originally untitled and part of Tales from the Jedi Companion. It has several other narrative-style prose pieces scattered throughout, definitely worth looking into if you haven't read them.
Also, they may not fit your criteria, but since you have Lana Beniko's Journal and the Shuuru Datalog and they aren't usually counted among the SWTOR short stories for stylistic reasons or whatever, you might also want to include The Search for Oricon and Rishi: Places of Interest, as despite their formatting they're also written more as narratives than emails or blog entries, in my opinion.
Back in the day there was a thread on the forum created by a proud gay man who resented the fact that the only skin baring armor was for females. So he used his photoshop skills to show males in "skimpy" armor. His work got a lot of support from women and other gay men, the CM team took notice of the popularity and made some sets nearly identical to his skimps. It is thanks to his efforts that Bioware doesn't make gender restricted outfits anymore. https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=425762
If this is what you meant, then the time period you're looking for is from update 5.4 to now.
There is a complete history of patch notes on the swtor website. The link I gave is for the 6.0 "onslaught" expansion, but click on the right sidebar to look at the various other patches since 5.4.
I wasn't playing in that era but I'm sure another kind commenter will give us the highlights.
Having played WoW you have to admit it feels more snappy and responsive, I found some old forum post about it from way back:
https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=95738
On the other hand you can get used to it to be honest, I assume it has something to do with the engine limitations.
I did the same about six months ago. Here's an old thread from the official forums that I kept referring back to on my way to 75. This is also helpful as it gives a visual map of the progression but the thread fills some things in, especially if you follow the links.
>Hi everyone,
We are looking into an issue where players are unable to log into PTS.
We will be taking the server down for approximately 30 minutes shortly.
I'll update this thread once we're back up.

Yeah.
I posted my initial thoughts on the actual PTS forum, so hopefully they'll fix it...
(and maybe let me keep my keybinds >_>)
Most of the companions have the same abilities, but some weapon types end up doing more damage on average (twin blaster and twin saber being the best, IIRC). Additionally, some companions do have unique abilities, like Shae Vizla, which can do a lot more damage.
There's a thread that lists most of the companions' DPS on the forum: https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=677289
Yes. Very against the ToS.

It IS however against the rules to share the login information of an account with others, as that opens the account up to being compromised, to potential fraudulent activity, and other exploitative behavior. We take the security of individual accounts very seriously, and if an account is being regularly claimed as “compromised”, it will likely be permanently closed.
It's the Legacy of the Sith
Basically, martial classes int be limited to specific weapons? So you can have a trooper using two pistols, or a sniper. And the force users can pick light side or dark side advanced classes based on their actual light/dark score. They are calling them combat styles.
This is where I go whenever I'm trying to figure out something about comps, might be something about parses at various influence levels in there:
It's for an event called Nar Shadda Nightlife.

Non-subscribers earn Renown points at 25% the rate of subscribers once they reach level 75. However if your account's "max level" for characters is less than 75 then I believe your characters don't earn any Renown. Either way you will gain Renown at a greatly reduced rate or your characters won't earn any Renown points at all.

Well if you have OCD, what about this:

or you could do what I did and alternate between all eight classes on Corellia mission by mission to get a feeling of everything culminating.
>Season 1 End Date
Our current plan has always been for Season 1 to last 5 months. Given the Season 1 start date of April 27th, that would put the end date for Season 1 in the September time frame, however we acknowledge we never stated the official end point.
Season 1 will end on Tuesday, September 28 at 12:00PM GMT. This information will be available on the Galactic Season screen in an upcoming update.

I don't pay people for clicks; I just offer them specifically because of this bias.
People click them because they like my streams, but that doesn't mean I don't want to counter misinformation.
Broad statements like the one you made just keep new players from getting free stuff from BW; <strong>the program is legit</strong>
But because** they hear 'scam' and think "shit, this is a fishing/account stealing thing"**, and that they'll get 'hacked' if they fall for it. Then they don't click any referral links...
Where you're saying it's a 'scam' because the buyer might not give you the in-game credits they promised (which again, most do, because they make way more off the 600cc).
The only person who profits is BW, who doesn't have to give out as much free CC.
Not all flashpoints have solo version, but some still can be done solo, you can always group or use group finder and under filter select which u want to play.

Colocoid War Games is not soloable.
Not sure if you're referring to the commonly repeated rumor that Bioware has reversed all of the Ranked punishments or what but Bioware has explicitly said this rumor is not true
>So far in season 11, we have actioned a total of 96 accounts for win trading related offenses. Of those punishments, we have reversed only 5. All 5 of these accounts were reversed because they were all caught in the same reporting error.
You can look at all the win trader's they've punished by seeing all the toons who are at 0 rating on the leaderboards.
>Per the previous report, we’ve created a new shared email specifically to make it easier to report win trading or cheating in PvP. The email address is , and there will be a sticky post explaining the purpose of this email living at the top of this forum. This new email will go to all of SWTOR Live Production and we’re hoping that it opens up a better path for reporting PvP cheating or win trading, especially for those who wish to include image or video evidence.
Report the 2 guardians and provide any evidence you have.

Usually referred to as dungeons in other RPGs. They're stand alone missions that you usually team up on. Often very high level enemies hence the good leveling opportunity.
If you are new and lower level, just try to listen to other people on the team. Most are friendly but some will be salty.
There's a queue to randomly join flashpoints if you don't have friends that play.
1) Make toons of any races you want (certain ones are unlocked while sub'd for certain classes, like chiss agents) - once you get them to 50 you'll be able to make them for any class, even if your sub expired long ago.
2) If you already have a main, get it geared and augment some sets of legacy gear and fill them with the best gear you have - doing so costs more for non-subs.
3) Get a referral code from a friend and use it once sub'd (if you don't have one, you can use mine) to get another week of subscription, and a few unlocks for when your sub expires inc 3rd crew skill, etc.
4) If you have the money, buy any vanity items or unlock SH's - since they'll cost too much to get after it runs out.
5) If your main is at/near cap, try some ops - they'll give gear on each boss in a week and they're something you won't be able to try once the sub runs out.
6) Use your CC on QoL purchases and unlocks.
Upon login, as long as you're one point into Light, you will be able to switch to Guardian as your primary style if you want. After you finish your class story, you'll be able to add another style out of all the force users as long as you have the Light V legacy unlock and are a subscriber.

"However, to build upon Jackie’s clarification post here, we wanted to give Force Origin Story players some choice when the 7.0 update releases. So all pre-7.0 Force characters that have opposite alignment to their current class will be given the option to swap their primary combat style to the opposite aligned equivalent upon logging in post-7.0.
This means if you are a Jedi Knight or Jedi Consular, and have at least 1 Dark Side point away from 0, you will be given this choice. Likewise, if you are a Sith Warrior or Sith Inquisitor, and have at least 1 Light Side point away from 0, you will be given this choice. This will be regardless of any Legacy unlocks or otherwise. Once that character is in the game, and the swap choice has been made or refused, the rules as described above will still apply."

Is this what you're talking about? Apparently it was a bug and the last mention of it is here dated 7/31/21, so I'm assuming it's been fixed.
I sure hope so, as my inquisitor would love to kill him simply for the fact that he does not know how to get clothes that fit him properly.
The short take is they are removing abilities or making abilities selectable on a new tree system so you wont be able to utilize the full tool kit. The endgame gearing system is changing where you have to grind more to get the best gear in the game. The long take is here: https://www.swtor.com/info/news/article/20211102
