This is really important!
You will not be able to play RuneScape in Chrome starting from Chrome version 42. Google expects to release this version to everyone next month and most people will get it as an automatic update.
This is a result of Google removing support for lots of plugins, including Java (which RuneScape uses). Websites that use Silverlight, Unity Web Player etc will also be affected.
You can find more information about this here: https://www.runescape.com/browser-support
We are also taking steps to improve the experience of using the downloadable client.
We released a new version of the client today. This update adds the ability for the client to be launched from the website. We have not updated the website to make this possible yet, but within a couple of weeks you will be able to click the yellow "Play Now" link in the top right corner of the website and the client will open automatically.
Today's client update also includes a new icon, to match the latest RuneScape logo. If you are playing on a fancy Mac with a retina display you should also now see a much higher resolution icon :)
You can download the new client from the page I linked above, or from here: https://www.runescape.com/ways-to-play
The Jagex wiki had so much potential. :(
Oh well. You can't argue with the fact the fan RS wiki is the top wikia on the ENTIRE FUCKING NETWORK.
http://www.wikia.com/Video_Games
Seriously though. Kudos to them. Even in the wake of all the hottest new games, good old RunEscape is still up there.
There's a reason the RS wiki usually ranks among the top three wikia wikis (currently #1); it's freaking amazing.
Credits to the wikia mods and contributors, they're doing a great job. :)
Commission Staking. It is against the rules.
https://www.runescape.com/game-guide/rules
> You must not advertise, organise, promote, or take part in any unofficial player run games of chance where in-game money or items are staked on the outcome of a random in-game activity. This includes, but is not limited to, all types of chance games where players trade an amount of in game money or items with the expectation that they will receive in game money or items in return based on the outcome of a game of chance or similar activity. It is also against the rules to bet on the outcome of another player's activities within the game, for example: how long it will take to kill a monster, or the outcome of a duel (commonly referred to as "commission staking").
The community largely doesn't trust Jagex when it comes to MTX.
94% of a 1304 person vote that reached ~18.5K subs here said "no" when asked
In b4 fmods hide any kind of feedback.
Also I did a ctrl-f on the rules, searched for the following 'week', 'sticky', 'confidential' and even 'penguins'. All queries yielded 0 results, which rule did she break?
I said in certain contexts - the language the player used is a clear hate term, and is specifically defined as inappropriate language in our rules. My statement was a general overview of what the word filter is there for. For clarity - here's a quote from the inappropriate language rule:
"This includes (but is not limited to): discussion of recreational drugs, sexually explicit language, solicitation, racism or other prejudice, threatening behaviour, blackmail and excessive swearing."
We have a maturing audience, which in this context means we don't feel low level swear words, used in certain contexts, should result in a mute or offence - this has been the case for years. We've never tolerated certain language, including racial slurs.
The rules surrounding offensive language are clear - in summary avoid using hate language, or excessive swearing at others, and you'll generally be A-OK!

> Similarly, multi-logged accounts must not interact with each other to exploit gameplay mechanics, such as attempting to rig the result of a minigame.
The information this "guide" gives has always been wrong (or at the very least super misleading). I don't understand why it was made nor why it has endured for so many years as an easy to navigate to place on the website.
Considering the Game Guide also continues to have multiple links to the long since deleted wiki on the official site (see the read more links for the quests, area and combat sections on this page, which is one click away from the homepage...). Also there're no permanent link to the lores and histories page which has been a bug bear of mine for years! The whole section needs a huge overhaul, and I genuinely don't understand how this could be so far down the priorities of Jagex's website team.
Route your connection through a VPN, so he can't DDOS your home IP. Most good VPN providers have DDOS filters and the bandwidth to withstand it. Personal reccomendation: Private Internet Access.
EDIT: Long term wise, call up your ISP and ask if your have a static connection or not. If you have a static IP/connection, he can keep DDOS-ing that IP Address.
Hi Canada Grrl,
Firstly, Thank you so much for your forum posts, years ago when I did penguins on a weekly basis my brother and I used it every week to get those pesky penguins, so thanks for all the free xp's.
Secondly, since you're new to reddit you might want to install the browser add-on Reddit Enhancement Suite, which among other things can:
help you format text (including a preview of the final product),
enable and disable the css on subreddits,
enable night mode (hell yes!),
Never ending reddit (no more need to switch pages),
preview Images, Gifs and Videos and resize image previews.
Additionally you might want to look at This Page to learn how to format the text yourself:P
Welcome to Reddit,

EDIT: Of course, I was only joking. You can see most of the drop rates here: https://www.runescape.com/drop-rates. Here are all of the individual chances of getting what you got if you were interested.
1/3 chance to get Sara brew flasks (1/5 chance to get 13)
1/35 chance to get pheromones if you were at max enrage, 1/50 at 0%
1/18 chance to get a Trisk piece
1/40 chance to get a leg piece (1/39 with LotD or better)
1/128 chance to get an effigy (if you don't own any effigies)
37.5% chance to get crimson charms, 1/10 chance to get 16 charms
You are free to create as many accounts as you like and you are welcome to trade between your accounts just as you would with any other legitimate player.
However, if any of your accounts obtained wealth by rule breaking activity for example macro use (botting) or real world trading (buying gold or items from 3rd parties) then all your accounts will be banned.
the wearing sunglasses part can be replaced by using a program called f.lux. it removes some of the blue light from your screen and that gives it an orange tint instead of white.
The old wiki on Wikia will remain, but will be unedited and will wither away.
There’s really three types of copyrighted content on the wiki:
In short, Wikia have no legs to stand on in terms of claiming content - they don’t really own any of the stuff we care about.
Glad to have your support :)
These are the 'main' game names and dates:
Osrs is a separate entity, entirely unconnected from the main game's timeline. It's a copy of RuneScape from 2007, which was re-released in 2013.
I know the way things work can be mildly confusing, so I'll try to explain. Jagex never "shut down" Rsc when they updated to Rs2 in 2004. Instead, they continued to host it for those who wished to continue playing. It was such a major overhaul, that it wasn't just a name change; it was quite literally, a brand new game with a new engine, and everything. As such, this meant new worlds, new account saves, etc.
However, when Rs2 was updated to Rs3 in 2013, there was no engine update or whatever, like there was with Rsc to Rs2. So it's essentially the same game, but with a name change. We still use the same servers, the game gameworld, etc., as we used when it was Rs2.
Now, in November 2012 before the name change to "Rs3", the EoC was added. This created a massive uproar, which eventually led to jagex re-releasing a copy of RuneScape as it was in 2007. This was subsequently dubbed as "Oldschool RuneScape", or as people call it "Osrs". The re-release occurred in February 2013, and the Rs3 update occurred in July 2013.
The PoH alter (and the Wilderness Chaos alter) and Ectofuntus don't get any extra xp from dxpw.
No, RuneScape and Oldschool are different games and have different teams. Oldschool is planned to be released at the end of this year. RuneScape is planned to be released early next year. Source: https://www.runescape.com/c=WdB68VyIrHQ/info/mobile This is not a beta, this is a technical alpha.
There is no official post, because not everyone has been invited. It is explained in the invitation email how to confirm if the email is legit or not. It was not supposed to be kept quiet, it's just, there is no gain from either side making a commotion about a few hundred invitations which is negligible in comparison to the size of our player base.
That assuming I don't know the drop rate. Why don't you stop being a prick and just accept when someone's giving you facts instead of thinking your probably 10kc ass knows better than everyone else?
https://www.runescape.com/drop-rates
Asshole
If you think this isn't breaking the rules you need to read the multiple log in section on the rules more carefully.
https://www.runescape.com/a=13/game-guide/rules
Similarly, multi-logged accounts must not interact with each other to exploit gameplay mechanics, such as attempting to rig the result of a minigame.
Creating more accounts definitely falls under exploiting gameplay mechanics and rigging the results of a minigame, regardless of if the accounts are independent of each other or not.
Na, they likely let others do the dirty work; Swatting, for example.
I'm aware of one case where someone decided invite cops to rs streamer's home, and they nearly shot his little brothers.
If you read The Chasm of Lights and think about her as a character, it only makes sense.
You take a cave goblin with a heart of adventure and show her the surface world, save her life and fight alongside her for long enough? 'Course she's going to have feelings for you. It would be almost weird if she didn't.
i see, thank you. i found it funny when you said both games and runescape 3. i was like whaaa XD
what game would you suggest? im more interest in the wow one, better graphics too. but the larger community for osrs is whats really giving my choice a hard time.

you know what, ima do rs3, https://www.runescape.com/download is this runescape 3? cause it just says runescape :v. i think it is, only thing thats popping up when i google runescape 3 anyways
For those still interested in how it's calculated and how it differs from the original formula: http://jsfiddle.net/j6FLe/68/
It's much more balanced than the original one, as it multiplies range/mage by 2 instead of 1.5, meaning that you can be 138 and have a mage or ranged based combat level, where before the only way to do this was via melee.
Okay, um...
The first link is a combination of Rsc, Osrs, Rs3, and the Forums. This means Rs3 has maybe 29k players online. The second link is purely Osrs players.

It should follow Arravs story. Making it about an already in game quest wouldn't work as there's no proper main character, the god wars wouldn't work well either because there's once again no obvious main character to follow and the ending would be extremely anticlimactic. Big green guy wakes up aaannd its over. Arrav is the only one that makes sense to me. His story can be followed without knowing too much lore stuff (we don't want the movie to be all exposition), it deals with how Ancient Varrock was founded, one of the most iconic places in Runescape and we have an obvious main character and villain. The story has a good ending as well, with Arrav sacrificing himself to stop Zemouregal from taking the city.
Oh and if anyone wants to read how the story goes here's a link: https://www.runescape.com/lore/the-legend-of-arrav
Actually on iOS betas are limited to 10000 accounts. On Android closed betas can have up to 200 lists with 2000 accounts each (400k total). There are also the open betas that can be unlimited or limited to how many accounts the developer wants (at a minimum of 1000).
Not unlimited. Timed beta access periods. Once your access is revoked you have to reapply. Which frees up a slot
https://developer.apple.com/testflight/
Some developers have made agreements with Apple for unlimited TestFlight access, but it's pretty rare.
A game like RuneScape would eat up all 10,000 slots.
Source: Have a few apps on the TestFlight program, and we're forced to follow their arbitrary guidelines for testing on iOS, and one workaround was timed beta access.
Plus, Reddit only access usually won't fill-up your 10,000 slots :)
Taking everything mentioned in this comment chain into consideration, if my calculations are correct, the 50th percentile for Dyes doing Hard Clues occurs right around 760 attempts (including rerolls) and 2621 is over the 90th percentile meaning less than 10% of people ever go this far without getting a Dye. This is the formula I used if anyone wants to double-check my work:
(1-((1/1707)+(1/3072)))^x = Y
Elite Clues as they have a notably higher chance of granting a Dye - this is partially because Elite Clues can drop the Dyes offered from Hard Clues at a higher rate along with three Dyes only dropped by Elite and Master Clues:
(1-((1/1678)+(1/2509)+(1/3204)+(1/5096)))^x = Y
For Elite Clues, the 50th percentile occurs around 461, and 2621 falls just above the 98th percentile. Most people would get their first Dye before 700 attempts (including rerolls).
For Hard Clues, 100 attempts is just above the 8th percentile, 500 attempts is just above the 45th percentile, 1000 is just under the 60th percentile, and 2000 is just under the 84th percentile. Most people would get their first dye before 1200 attempts (including rerolls), requiring nearly twice as many attempts as Elite Clues.
The Master Clues rates are here if anyone wants to try and calculate that.
Hope this helps anyone trying for a Dye!
Best of luck!
EDIT: Some of the drop rates were incorrect, this has been revised and corrected.
> losing money to savvy players who could ultimately pay for membership just by buying bonds
Bonds are NOT infinitely supplied in the ge, nor are any items at all contrary to what some people believe. It costs more in bonds for membership than it does with irl cash. A bond buyer would not pay for them for irl cash if they were worthless in game, so bonds actually made jagex gain money not lose it. To break it down, jagex sold membership to the bond buyer already. The bond buyer then purchased a bond to sell to another player seeking to use their game cash for membership. The bond does not give as much membership, runecoins, or keys as regular cash does. This means it takes more bonds (and therefore more irl cash) in order to get the same result.
If you need an example, the most recent Gold VIP membership was $79.49 OR 20 bonds. Bonds were $5.99 at the time, so that multiplied by 20 was $119.80 jagex made from people that used bonds for VIP as opposed to $74.49.
Similarly, multi-logged accounts must not interact with each other to exploit gameplay mechanics, such as attempting to rig the result of a minigame.
It is, but it's not an enforced rule.
https://www.runescape.com/game-guide/rules
Basically, they won't bother banning you if you're account sharing, but if you're obviously using it to cheat something like a seasonal high score, then you can be punished, and if the true owner's identify ever becomes questionable (such as two different people trying to recover an account with reasonable submissions) then they will simply ban the account to avoid trying to figure out who it belongs to.
So while you generally won't be punished for account sharing, it can get you in trouble if you cause issues.
What kind of problems are you experiencing? If it's related to internet, then the game will have a smooth framerate when you for example rotate the camera but your character will be slow to respond when you click something. If the problem is with your computer itself then everything looks choppy when you rotate the camera, but your character will generally respond well to input.
If it's internet which causes the problem, first try checking task manager to see if there is nothing else on your computer that is using up all the bandwidth. Stuff like Steam suddenly deciding to update your library can severely impact the stability of your internet connection for example. You may also want to do a speedtest ( https://speedof.me or https://speedtest.net) to see if your bandwidth isn't limited. If the problems appeared suddenly then you might have reached a data limit and depending on your ISP the internet can become really slow and unstable after that.
If it's your PC which seems to have a problem, check if it may have a problem with temperature. If you open the performance tab on task manager, then you should be able to see the current CPU speed and the base speed. While you're running the game, the current speed should be higher than the base speed. If it's lower then you probably have overheating problems. Those are often caused by dust so in that case cleaning your computer might help. You may also want to check the processes tab in task manager and click on the CPU percentage to sort all programs by CPU usage. If something other than Runescape is at the top spot then this is probably a software issue (could be malware, but could also be just a normal program misbehaving, either way doing a virus scan shouldn't do any harm, but don't manually delete or force stop a program of which you don't know what it does).
If you can give more details then I can help more.
Perhaps. It's not the most elegant way to do it, but the Subnautica developers keep a public taskboard so players can keep up to date on patches and development in progress.
Went over great with their community.
I agree. I don't know how I feel about the prospective "blood dye" or any new dye coming out since I've already dyed all my weapons. Then again, with invention coming out in the future, I don't know what they'll do with dyed weapons. >.>

I strongly suspect that this is one of those rules that is still present but not actively enforced

I recommend using the downloadable client even if Chrome continued its support of Java.
I feel it runs the game a lot smoother, and you wont have any browser bars on top covering up precious screen space.
You can get it here:
https://www.runescape.com/ways-to-play?jptg=ia&jptv=navbar
If you've ever signed up for anything RuneScape related, usually they'll scrape emails from those sites, or if there's a database leak they'll pull those e-mails too.
OP should probably check this site. https://haveibeenpwned.com/
No, no it doesn't. If you would actually read the source: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/programme
You will see that it says:
>(program) A series of coded software instructions to control the operation of a computer or other machine.
As in... Program. So no, you're incorrect.
The whole reason they're spelled differently is so you can differentiate.
Someone made a chrome add on that does what the tool bar does, only it's a button instead of the cancer that is toolbars.

>i thought one of the gold VIP perks was to get all these pre paid card promo rewards?
that was not in the deal of this year's premier club.
here is the list of what was offered https://www.runescape.com/premier-club
To be fair, Jagex owes Gold Premier Members 4 exclusive content stuff this year, it was promised in the advertisement. So far there is only one and that's if you consider Premier Vault as one (because technically it is exclusive to Gold), so opening it up earlier for Gold members would fulfill part of the deal.
Seems like it might break part of the multi-logging rule:
You can add me ingame though. I've been meaning to get some more commendation in game. RSN Tact
On a related note ^hehe . Everyone who enjoyed the lore in One Piercing Note should also read the ripper demon story from the lores and histories page. It can be found here.
"pedantic neckbeard", right - because someone called you on your bullshit, which you continue to spew, you have to throw insults. Fantastic. You're a true genius of your time, buddy.
Runescape.com sees rise of 1.7M page visits in the past month
Oldschool.runescape.com sees a rise of only 600k in the past month
Using deductive reasoning here, we can gladly assume RS3 is proving to be just slightly more on the rise than OSRS, though this isn't 100% accurate, because some, but very few, go through runescape.com to view forums, hiscores, etc (though the majority uses Companion or other sources for this, and forums are dead af), but honestly, no sense in arguing with you, because you'll just throw this into a circular motion and not actually provide any statistics.
So basically it's Jagex once again trying to pull the 'we'll try better next time, pinky-promise' card, knowing full well they won't. Maybe try some communication Jagex, although, you've promised that multiple times as well. Maybe this will help?

What a joke all of them are. More promises that are about as worthwhile as his promise of a roadmap, and Warden talking about not seeing things like it hasn't been mentioned repeatedly for over a year. You may not be able to have "all your eyes on all the areas you want to fix", but you have 450 employees, and some of those have the job of doing that for you. The problem is that if you don't listen to the community about things and ignore them, they'll stop telling you things and exploits will be the first to not be mentioned, as people will just take the chance of a two-week break to get stupid amounts of GP/XP.

When Seren Bow was released, there was a bug that allowed player-killing that was posted to the sub, and Shauny at 2am ran to the office to get it sorted. That's what it should be like. Shauny actually gave a crap about trying to make things better, not just doing the bare minimum to get his paycheck. I remember Osbourne specifically mentioning better communication last year, and it lasted about a week before it was back to the business of ignoring anything that isn't praise or a meme.

This exploit, and loads of other issues, have been posted here countless times, so what else needs to happen? Skywriting? 100 piece orchestra with an opera singer describing issues? a naked town crier?

Communication Jagex. That's all that you need.

Imgur is incredibly easy to use.
All you need to do is register.
Once you've logged in to your newly registered account, you can simply click-and-drag any pictures you wish to upload onto the imgur webpage and they will automatically be uploaded to your profile.
After you've uploaded the images you wish to use, navigate to the top right side of the page (next to your username) and click "albums".
On this page you will be able to select pictures from those you've just uploaded to add to an album, which you will create by clicking "new album".
It's very easy to use!
It's rounded down, not up.
If you go to the RS3 drops rates specifically GWD2 they show luck interaction and it rounds down.
It wouldn't be wrong to assume that's how it works for all bosses (Fairly sure it's stated somewhere that it rounds down.)
Are you sure?
https://www.runescape.com/game-guide/rules
Asking/trying to persuade another player to give you their password or bank PIN for any reason is against the rules and will not be tolerated. Players must not scam or deceive other players.
Misleading other players for your own personal gain is not in the spirit of fair play. This rule is in place to protect our players' accounts. As 'Account Sharing' is not permitted there is no reason why there would be a need to request another player's password.
An 'item scam' is an attempt to obtain GP and/or items from another player by dishonest means.
It's not listed on the restricted double xp item page so I assume it should work.
Other than it possibly being disabled for dpx, It'll only give slayer xp if you're on task, might wanna double check that. If you are on task and it's still not giving you xp it could be bugged for the particular thing you're slaying, would be helpful to submit a bug report perhaps.

If you do happen to have some extra cash around, there's something called Premire Club Membership Link which is basically cheap membership for an entire year, plus a few perks. I would not buy it now, unless you decide you like the game, but I believe that it is open until about early February, so you have time to decide, if you so with.

Beta Update | New Beta Polls
The RuneScape Beta has been updated with the latest changes to the Death Rework and combat abilities.
We need your feedback on these vital upcoming updates, so log in when you can – have your say and help shape the future of RuneScape!
There are three new polls now running in the beta, too. Decide whether the Legacy healing cap, PvP eating tweaks and PvP stun tweaks are ready for the live game, or if they still need work.
The beta is open to all RuneScape members, and the most distinguished testers may even be awarded an exclusive title for the live game: the Gamebreaker.
If you've never tried it before, now's a great time to get involved. See you in the beta!

We've rearranged the order of the RuneScape Road Trip skill weekends: check the edited Road Trip news for full details.
I use a program called ShareX. You can download it for free and it can be used to capture pictures/gifs/recordings and upload it to your PC or to imgur automatically.
Would highly recommend to anyone! https://getsharex.com/
This - sort of like trello (similar to what phasmophobia devs use). It's a development board where they post notes.
I shall help.
Tried to find a video of Uncle from Jackie Chan Adventures saying "Research Jackie!" but realized I spent more time doing that than it would finding an answer to the question
Funds - 100M
Cheapest potions to make, Prayer and Serum 207.
Prayer - 12.16gp/xp
Serum 207 - 13.00/gp/xp
Since you have 100,000,000 here's the lazy way that I will calc it.
Prayer - 100,000,000/12.16 = 8,223,684exp
Serum 207 - 100,000,000/13.00 = 7,692,307exp
So Serums will get you to 93, close to 94.
Prayers will get you to 94, close to 95.
Obviously assuming everything buys at GE price.
"if you tell someone to kill themselves it's considered encouraged suicide and you get get a fine of $25,000 and 10+ years in prison. If they actually kill themselves you can be charged with manslaughter. "
Source: Tumblr
Clarification: This is a joke.
If the T99 prayers were +50% damage they'd be incredibly powerful and people would have complained that they break the game. The issue was they were a relatively small DPS boost.
You can push all sorts of new concepts, you just need the numbers to be right - and if we can't compete with SS/deflect, that reallllly begs the question - are they overpowered?
And hey, what if Jagex makes some new content where deflection prayers are broken through by the enemies and they can't be SS'd? At that point you could be offering barely anything and it'd still be better than deflects/SS.
I tried the page there and it seems to be working fine. To make sure you have the right link can you head to https://www.runescape.com/store_locator and then click on "activate card"

is this bait? cos if its not you're really really REALLY gonna love my response. Allow me to familiarize you with the rules of runescape. https://www.runescape.com/game-guide/rules
"Each account should only be used by one person. Never share your account with anyone else, doing so will likely get the account banned. Players may not sell, share, transfer or lend their account to anyone else. Players should not accept an account that anybody else offers, as they may be stolen, and this could lead to your own account being disabled!
Why we have this rule We have this rule as part of our procedures to preserve the integrity of the game and its players' hard earned achievements. The hiscores are there to measure the achievement of an individual, not a group of players or 3rd party. Also, if disputes occur or friendships breakdown, it can lead to at least one of the parties permanently losing access to the account or having it stripped of wealth and items.
Additionally, many of the accounts on sale are stolen, and people who share accounts run the risk that the person using the account won't give it back, or that the person will break a game rule causing the account to be banned or muted for which the account creator will be accountable."
Not in for the Beta, but I might as well ask.
My current phone is a Huawei Honor 5x, currently on (I think) Android 6.0.1.
Specs: https://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_honor_5x-7590.php
Would you say that's okay-ish to run the mobile app?
>scam
That's actually a written rule though.
>Scamming
>Asking/trying to persuade another player to give you their password or bank PIN for any reason is against the rules and will not be tolerated. Players must not scam or deceive other players.
>Why we have this rule
>Misleading other players for your own personal gain is not in the spirit of fair play. This rule is in place to protect our players' accounts. As 'Account Sharing' is not permitted there is no reason why there would be a need to request another player's password.
>An 'item scam' is an attempt to obtain GP and/or items from another player by dishonest means.
If the world links aren't working, make sure you also have a copy of the Legacy Client from the bottom of our Download page, since they'll try to open in there. :)

Clicks aren't represented at all on the resulting image, sadly. I'd prefer if the circles correlated to click frequency in that general area, but they dont.
Or you could download Sharex which is far better than Puush in terms of functionality, is equally as light, and uploads to any website you want - even puush, if that's your fancy.
Head over to /r/buildapcsales and search for prebuilts. That's how I found mine for a crazy good deal.
In general, 16 gigs Ram and a 1070 or higher with a SSD will be what you need to run pretty much any game maxed out at 1080p, 144fps.

This is a system called "JIRA". It is available for anyone whom wants to purchase from Atlassian. EDIT: It is also a very powerful and good manager for things like these.
If you have an Android phone, the app should be available as a beta app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jagex.runescape.android
If you have an iPhone or iPad, you'll need to wait for the public release. Due to restrictions on Testflight (Apple's app beta system), only a limited number of users can participate in app betas, and all available slots have already been taken long ago.
RS Mobile, both for Android and iOS, is currently scheduled for release at an unspecified point in time this year.
Probably cheaper and easier to just buy a dual monitor mount than a new desk. You can have two monitors with one base therefore not needing a bigger desk. They go for like <$50 on Amazon.
It looks as if the cause of the problem is the 3G/4G provider itself.
From what I understand, a 6,200 means the file received is not in a format accepted by NXT. It could mean for instance, the file's been transformed from UTF8 to ANSI or ASCII, or has had other content embedded or stripped away. (Or even forcing it to return an empty file)
I recommend looking into a VPN if for no reason other than to launch the game client. HMA VPN, TunnelBear, both good options to consider.

Incase anyone is looking for a program to help out with their eyes/at night, download f.lux. It adjusts your screens brightness in correlation to the time of day, and it has really helped out against eye strain.
Calm down about what?
I'm just saying that it's been years of Jagex breaking promises, ramping up MTX, and so on. As I've shown, a huge amount of people here don't trust Jagex all of a sudden just because they tone it back once.
That said, 76% of poll participants said "yes" when asked
>If Jagex clearly toned down TH for an entire year, would you begin to trust them more?
My point is simply that Jagex has a lot of work to do. They've lost a lot of trust and if they want it back that's going to take work.
Don't do anything on you RS account. First you need to know how this happened. Is your email secured (2FA enabled)? Has your password been leaked? Have they tried to 'recover' your account?
More importantly, if they got past your PIN they might either know you in real life, or your pc may have been been compromised. (Or did you log in on a friend's/public pc or something?) Scan your pc using Malwarebytes or something.
It makes no sense to try and rebuild your account if you don't solve the issue that caused this in the first place.
6 seconds a week for 52 weeks = 312 seconds / 60 = 5.
That's 5 minutes a year you'll never get back.
Edit: Here are 50 things you can do in 5 minutes
Make sure you have your RuneScape and Twitch accounts linked. If redeeming it on Twitch didn't automatically send them to your inventory, go here to claim them: https://www.runescape.com/account/linked-accounts/twitch/redeem
This happens every time with everyone the offer is out, but people are unaware that Claim Offer alone isn't enough. There are specific steps you need to follow to activate it.
This link should work: https://www.runescape.com/account/linked-accounts/twitch/redeem
They're rude, but not wrong in a way.
However, considering how it's always been a courtesy to the players to receive it every month and how the game's prices have hiked while the quality in other areas has taken a bit of a decline, yeah I don't think it's too much to ask for. Heck, just asking does not make you entitled.
wouldnt be surprised if the next post is a guy recording rs with a 10$ webcam viewing his own monitor, edited out on windows movie maker, then recorded again on a windows phone to be sent on le reddit as a youtube video
Mentioning only OSRS is so bizarre, it makes it sound like the writer just doesn't even know what they're talking about. It's a seemingly small detail that you could brush off as unimportant, but it really just shows that the writer doesn't have a real investment in the game.
Some people enjoy following writers for a writer's unique take on things, but this article offers nothing of substance from the writer, they have no opinion or anything - they simply regurgitate some very basic information. Hell, of this article's 290 words 108 of them are simply quoting Jagex directly. The screenshot they use is just a generic cropped screenshot taken from someone else.
I also feel like just saying "bond prices" is vague as shit to some random user. This site has hundreds of articles and three of them, match the search "Runescape", expecting the reader to know what a bond is feels rather ridiculous.
One could argue that people on this sub would know, but what is this article really saying that people who frequent this sub don't already know?
In short it's nothing but another lazy, poorly written article about Runescape that offers little to anyone.
Set your RS to resizable, then maximize RS on one of your monitors, then use Borderless Gaming to make it fullscreen. Then use your other monitor like any other monitor.
You should be able to play RS in Chrome until September using an user agent switcher extension and a special startup parameter:
Haven't tried it myself yet but it should work in theory.
