/r/tibiammo will talk about this.
We all hope that :
He will reveal it (and doesn't keep it secret)
That it's not a lousy reward
The developers made an article about it though, so I guess they're taking this seriously.
I'm assuming you've been in a coma for the past 2 months or simply didn't bother to read any news, both of which are very fair reasons for you to do not know the answer to this, so here it goes:
No. It won't work.
However, CipSoft is developing their own version of it, which shall be included in the game as a part of Summer Update 2017. You can read more about it here.
I got kind of nostalgic and started going through some old news and threads. What really stood out to me was that people weren't complaining that the removal of GMs would cause botters to roam free, but instead they were complaining about lurers. Another interesting thing to see was that seeing a report take 48 hours to be processed for a player was something unheard of.
Oh how the times have changed.
No, but I wouldn't mind more promotions or subclasses. They talked about adding these awhile back, but nothing ever came of it.
Edit: Found the article. If you click on the forum posts at the bottom with the vocation names they even go into details about what the second promotion would be.
the enchanted version of all gems are now only a drop, so you cannot enchant them anymore :s
> I wish they said something before they made char saves.
>Status update: All EU servers are now accessible again. We apologise for the unexpected interruption.
>Between the server saves of February 02 and February 05, you have the chance to collect double the amount of loot from every monster you kill.
From my search at News Archive .
Some years ago there was an announcement that CipSoft was developing subclasses by a new promotion at level 100. I don't remember all of them, but for example Paladins could branch out to either have high single target damage or be AoE oriented. Druids could be healing or damage oriented, etc. I don't know if it's true, but the guy working on those subclasses isn't in CipSoft anymore, so the idea/project was abandoned, which is a real shame. I'm on mobile right now, so if you want the link to the official announcement tell me, I'll try to find it later.
Edit: Here it is.
You are wrong. It is not about logging in, there is a 10 second of "protection" when logging in with battle but this is so you have time to open backpacks and such.
Simply losing the TCP connection will make the monsters stop attacking you, that is the feature. Upon losing the connection the monsters stop attacking you for 30 seconds and then after another X seconds (during which the monsters can target you again) your character logouts (X equals 10 for mages, 20 for paladins and 30 for knights)
Edit: Here is the news for those who want to check: http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=2009
> Druids and sorcerers will be kicked out of the game after 40 seconds, paladins after 50 seconds, knights and characters without a vocation after 60 seconds.
Also, if the server identifies a connection loss, your character will be ignored by monsters for 30 seconds.
"During the following weeks, we are going to evaluate if the servers are able to meet our technical requirements. If that is the case and they are also well received by our player base, it is quite possible that we will set up Optional PvP and Retro Open PvP game worlds in Brazil at the beginning of February 2017. "

No you don't, you do get a PZ lock for putting them down but you wont get a skull or even a frag if they die from it.
just them make sure here is the retro pvp rules (at least what I remember).
putting down any type of elemental field would result in a protection zone block and it will harm other players yet will yield no frag or skull.
when a person is killed in pvp he shall receive 100% death penalty (after blessings), the retro pvp system does not include fair fight rules so 0 reduction will be handed out.
when a person is killed in pvp, 2 unjustified kills will be handed out, (iirc) for the person who hit last and the one who did the most damage, even if 20 people killed 1 guy, only 2 of them will get the unjustified kills.
any type of attack will automatically another player and will result in a skull (can be yellow skull if the guy has white/red/black skull).
no twist of fate, meaning pvp = pve death.
you cannot walk through people, same as mwalls, on open pvp mwalls and you don't block other people unless in a fight.
that's the basics of it, overall I really like it except the AoE part, other than that I love the retro pvp system.

Hello,
which server is?
probably you're trying to bid a house from a server scheduled to merge: Game World Merge Announcement
http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=4321&fbegind=4&fbeginm=9&fbeginy=2017&fendd=4&fendm=10&fendy=2017&flist=11111111 > Update: Due to technical difficulties all game worlds have been taken offline again. We are currently investigating the issue.
Probably because of the house bug
> Aug 30 2017 - News Ticker > > With today's server save, we changed the following: It is no longer possible to skip certain parts of the Troubled Animals quest. Additionally, we have fixed further levers e.g. in the Pits of Inferno and in the Banshee questline. Using a daily reward temple teleport scroll that is placed in the depot now removes the scroll from the depot.
Instead of driving them away you could suggest they buy the 10 day premium so that if they experience a high volume of kicks and lag, they don't lose as much. Then the only thing they've lost is time, which isn't that huge a deal and Tibia doesn't entirely suffer.
Or advise that if they return they stick to a optional-PVP server due to the problem you face when hitting level 100? Instead you're so salty about it you're simply driving them away from the game entirely.
If there's a big enough issue on one particular server then why don't all the high level characters go out together hunting botters? I mean, based on your facts 50% of players are botters so it shouldn't be too hard to find them right? Nah, that's too much work right? This is my point. Instead of fighting back against these people you're bending over to them.
I'm not saying that you can rid the game of botters, but you can slow them down significantly by banding together. If half the people upset about the game spent the energy thwarting botters instead of complaining, maybe there would be so many of them.
Edit: And you said Cipsoft never responds... Looks like they're trying to fix it.. as... I...said...
High level Paladins are not as efficient as high level knights due to the lack of AoE attack, yeah. By high level I mean 200+, before that there is no better class to play solo than a paladin.
However, keep in mind CipSoft's plans for 2016 are:
Steam release (most likely a failed attempt according to http://forum.tibia.com/forum/?action=thread&postid=37334432#post37334432)
new UI
class diversification and balance (they said it'd be based on their previous ideas found here: http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=2963 )
If the last one goes live, a lot will change and paladins will most likely become just as viable at high lvl play.
We are still working hard to address the ongoing DDoS attacks and their impact on your gaming experience. At the moment, login on American game worlds might not be possible for some players. We are working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.
>A 10boxing bomber squad is going to haze and MAYBE lose half his bombers while wiping out an entire enemy fleet.
I've actually seen this kind of thing happen in another game, Tibia. Like Eve, most Tibia servers have unrestricted PVP and you aren't really safe anywhere. Some players used to multibox a bunch of characters and bring them into their player-owned home. They'd wait for an unsuspecting player to wander past when they would use the house eject command (which instantly teleports everyone in the house to your front door) and then use input broadcasting to make the characters cast the most powerful spell in the game on the unsuspecting passer-by, all at the same time.
Needless to say, if you were caught you were fucked. I don't think it ever happened on large scales and didn't have any big impact on the game, but it's shitty behaviour and shouldn't be encouraged. I'm fine with multiboxing. If someone can keep control of multiple accounts at once, good for them. But automating multiple characters isn't fair for everybody else.
Please link to the source of the statement in the OP for verification. When it comes to a major update we all wanna make sure its the real deal and not a joke.
For this time ill do it for you http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=3024&fbegind=9&fbeginm=11&fbeginy=2014&fendd=9&fendm=12&fendy=2014&flist=11111111
You sir are correct. I knew there were 5+ guilds. I was just thinking of Red Rose, Satori, etc
The reward chest and changes to the loot system were added about 5 years ago and CIP left some info on what counts as participation although I don’t think anyone has a full understanding about how it works.
The working theory is that participation works kind of like a lottery where those who have received the most damage (most likely, the actual damage received is counted) done the most damage and healing all get more tickets and therefore have a higher chance of getting a better item.
If that's what you mean by "launched as a full event", then yes.
Essentially, monsters respawned twice as quickly as they normally would do (some exceptions with bosses etc)
Yea just try it. My ping went from constant 350 down to normal 80, completely smooth and also no freezes so far.
>Regarding the duping..
these details don't match up. bk house bug is probably the most famous dupe bug and it happened before calmera existed. the three servers that existed at the point were reset between several days to weeks (some more than others). here is the news article of that.
>txt files
ah, yes! forgot about those. still had them lying around in some old screenshot folder on drive hehe
This is from the last TS, and I imagine this is still how they select who joins the private TS first. Last couple ones I got invited, despite not being a tutor or anything.
Looks like you're correct!

Average age roughly 21. But I hope for the sake of humanity that it's the kids that are posting on the forums
http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=4321&fbegind=4&fbeginm=9&fbeginy=2017&fendd=4&fendm=10&fendy=2017&flist=11111111 > Update: Due to technical difficulties all game worlds have been taken offline again. We are currently investigating the issue.
Probably because of the house bug
Yeah. It all started when they implemented the DDoS protection things to their servers.
I believe they used a company that has pretty much a full garbage connection to 95% of peoples ISP;s, thats why some people are available to play without any problem, but most people are not. I remember reading a long explanation about it in tibias forums.
Also they claimed to have fixed it here; http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=4072&fbegind=5&fbeginm=4&fbeginy=2017&fendd=5&fendm=5&fendy=2017&flist=11111111
And explained here (I believe that was the thread), but it's deleted.
Outside from WoW I cannot think other one like this one. Tibia exists up to this date.
Maybe you could try The Witcher series or Breath of the Wild. Also Xenoblade series are massive with lots of quests and it's also single player.
so there is some news about it: http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=4190&fbegind=10&fbeginm=5&fbeginy=2017&fendd=9&fendm=8&fendy=2017&flist=11111111
but i remember CIP saying in a post that there were a samll amount of vouchers that actually expire later in the year.
Anyone got info on that?
Which would imply that, without any botters, the amount of sold scrolls/coins would be the same? I doubt that!
Besides that, bots have been a major problem in tibia since TibiaAuto and other bots were released on tibia 7.6 and even older clients. The coins / scrolls are things from a 'recent' past.
But yes, you could be right that, nowdays most coins are bought by fair players (hence the recent positive feedback on BE so far). With that in mind, what other reason do you think could hold them back from using BE on all servers if not risk for revenue?
They even admitted this way of introducing BE was to monitor changes on revenue. >As a company, we also need to pay attention to how this may impact our revenue.
Once again: I'm all for use of BE on EVERY SINGLE SERVER! And I'd love to see Tibia on Steam, I'm just trying to answer OP's question.
they did announce the date when will the characters backup happen tho. http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=4137&fbegind=10&fbeginm=5&fbeginy=2017&fendd=10&fendm=7&fendy=2017&flist=11111111
And it was an official teaser on tibia.com at one point, link here
Game weakness (ab)use was punished with bann before, but they have changed the rules, because they couldn't enforce it among all players. Thus making xloggin / TP and such things legal now. Also multiclient is legal, you can even open multiple clients with tibia 11 without restriction.
> We also removed the game weakness abuse rule and implemented a couple of game design features to tackle game weakness issues such as luring of creatures technically.
I am not sure, I think maybe in the summer update.
Edit : it looks like they will start to test the Mac client in the end of April, Source: http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=4012&fbegind=21&fbeginm=3&fbeginy=2017&fendd=21&fendm=4&fendy=2017&flist=11111111
maybe they will release some alpha/beta version next week
I will explain the problem with disconnects. The internet is structured similar to streets in the real world. You can access them when leaving your house, but not every street is able to lead you everywhere at any time. Sometimes individual roads are disrupted even if others are fine. If you end up on such a disrupted road, you will face a traffic jam which is similar to lag or a disconnect. To reach our game server you need to use many different streets to cover a very long distance. All these streets cannot be controlled by us nor by your service provider. This is the nature of the internet. It is being improved constantly but you will never be 100% safe. Therefore, we try to implement safety features which will protect your character in case of a disconnect, but this is not that simple. However, we will try to improve these features so these problems become less significant for you. + http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=3816&fbegind=7&fbeginm=11&fbeginy=2016&fendd=7&fendm=12&fendy=2016&flist=11111111
Just play your servers, there is no need to die to get compensated with vouchers.
Also, here's what I think will most likely happen:
CipSoft will stop giving vouchers as compensation for lags, downtimes or kicks. If anything, they will do server specific 2x exp/skills, like they recently did. After most of the current vouchers expire in June/July they will start selling them (around August).
Just a simple Noob's opinion.
Please read through the announcement regarding the depot change.
If you're in a hurry, you can refer to this: > As part of this change, character world transfers will also be simplified with the release of the winter update:
>* It will not be necessary anymore to move items to Travora: Your character's depot chest (17 depot boxes) as well as your character's inbox will automatically be moved to your new home world with all their contents. This also means that the current transfer limit of 1,000 items will be removed. >* We will also remove the item limit of 1 unit per character which currently applies to most items. So your character can take along as many units of an item as you possess. >* The island of Travora will be swallowed by the sea. Only a ship and a connected platform will be left over. This is where you have to logout from the winter update on if your character is ready to change worlds.
If you still have questions regarding that, please look at the forumpost that is linked in the above article. Most likely, any other questions that you've come up with has already been answered there.
Dawnport will be just as bad. It may be worth it to go to Rookgaard if you're one of the first players online, but a lot of people think of that as well.
Monster spawn blocking only applies to certain monsters. You can see the list here.
I've been brainstorming leveling strategies for tomorrow and I haven't come up with anything great, but the Grizzly Adams tasks are tried and true. You can hunt the most popular spawns if you're one of the first online. The longer you wait, the more creative you have to get.
What's up everyone. I'm JJ (GT: IlllJokerlllI).
I have some experience with MMOs, but ESO has a lot of firsts for me.
The only other MMO that I really got into was a little 2.5 Dimensional called "Tibia"
I've played through all the Elder Scrolls games, but there's a learning curve for ESO that I'm just now getting comfortable with.
I'm trying to build a Sorcerer who is capable of doing Solo World Boss runs (So Max DPS), and this requires a secondary set of skills for healing/support. I'd love to party up and help in any little way I can for now (My main is lvl 18). I'd also love to come along and learn anything I can from you all.
Looking forward to dominating this game with you guys!
>I'm trying to have fun with it and not go crazy in the middle of the night
You're not breaking any rules but I have to say that this survey is far from what I would consider to be "not go crazy in the middle of the night".
This is one hellah creepy survey to receive, especially when CipSoft just released their article on the Tibian demographic just about a month ago.
Their article goes into some detail - your survey wants that plus stuff that's a lot more personal.
Honestly, the only game that you are going to find that comes even close to what you want is a game called Tibia.
See here
While there are quests in the game, they are nothing like what you likely imagine, that is, quests you grind out mobs on and turn in to an NPC for an exp reward. The closest thing to that is called tasks, which is you solely killing monsters and doing dungeons to level.
There is an optional sub, though I HIGHLY recommend you do, as without it, the game is honestly pointless.
No P2W cash shop, the only options in there are play outfits and mounts (which are not THAT difficult to get/do not provide a significant bonus)
No crafting in the game, largely at all.
Fast travel is limited to paying sub, and will only take you to other major towns, as there are islands.
Fantasy setting, slightly based on D&D fantasy, and it's not in alpha or early access.
Tibia, a sixteen year old MMORPG always has more than 20,000 players online, a couple years ago it was always over 40,000.
You can check it online on this counter at the top right corner: http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=latestnews
