What is Reddit's opinion of Ristretto?

Are you sure about that? When I run feh <filename> in a directory with multiple images only <filename> gets displayed, too, just as happens for you in Thunar. Only when running simply feh or feh /path/to/directory can I use the arror keys browse the images with feh (v2.18).

So somehow calling feh with a filelist and --start-at <filename> from Thunar might work. I just stick to using <em>Ristretto</em> with Thunar.
