Seat belts were once seen as an inconvenience. Every safety feature from harnesses to hard hats were once scoffed at.
For the push back, take a look at RoyalTS (made by the guy who made mRemote), it allows your admins to save their credentials for RDP, PowerShell, CMD. It works much like LastPass, where you set a master password and all your passwords are encrypted, only requiring you to enter the password for your RoyalTS instance once.
Essentially it keeps a list of shortcuts to remote systems with specific credentials. You can set cmd.exe to run (within a tab or separated) as your 'domain admin' then have a script run immediately after launch. No re-entering credentials, etc.
In fact it should make your team more productive in the long run as repetitive keystrokes are reduced.
Royal TS best remote client by a country mile. http://www.royalts.com
DO NOT USE SECURE CRT, Royal TS is superior in EVERY WAY, and costs half the price. Last week an engineer for Nexenta was on my machine with Teamviewer to assist with an issue, he saw Royal TS and how good it was, I called him back yesterday about the issue and he told me he bought it and loved it.
Since I started using it a couple years back it's made my life so much easier.
RoyalTS is my current favorite:

Has SSH, RDP, Web, stores credentials, multiple tabs, etc.
Cheaper than SecureCRT and more flexible. I purchased licenses for my whole team.
I also use Cygwin for one-off connections and Vagrant.
