OK ya'll. Your criticism of OP may be valid, but its not helpful. This website: https://spinbackup.com/products/google-apps-backup/ while not directly related to your situation, may be useful in finding out your options. YMMV Did you see if Google can recover your old gsuite account? What do they do in terms of backup? What about this: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6236295?hl=en
You can try some automated backup software, rather than doing it manually. Like this one:

Your budget is way off. Take a look at the other backup players in the space. User count is what matters. https://spanning.com/products/google-apps-backup/ https://spinbackup.com/pricing-gsuite/ https://www.backupify.com/gsuite-backup
Here is a quick breakdown of the roles: https://spinbackup.com/blog/it-security-roles-and-responsibilities/
The problem you will run into is that job postings tend to muddy the waters my treating these roles as more or less the same, mainly because the recruiters who post them have no idea what the differences are.
This article claims that files may remain infected for years before the encryption begins.
How do I know that I'm not dealing with something like that ? Can malwarebytes prevented it ? Thanks.
Thank you.
If you don't mind, I have a few more questions.
Are there no malwares that encrypt files simply to cause destruction ?
Additionally, when I am updating my backups, are antivirus softwares and malwarebytes sufficient to ensure that I am not copying anything suspicious to my backup drive ? I am wondering if there are time delayed ransomwares that activate after a certain period of time has passed so that when I update my backups I end up copying the ransomware too. I read a few articles that talks about ransomware spreading to backups.
I read this article that says files can remain infected for years before the encryption begins.
Thank you again.
I've been using SyncBack for many years for syncing and backing up files between servers at work. I recently discovered they have a Google Photos backup option. I now do a nightly backup to my home server of my entire Google Drive and Google Photos library. It's not free, but it's not expensive. It's very easy to use and the "easy" settings will get you going.

Since these photos are so important to me and I don't do a good job maintain my server I also pay for SpinBackup.
I use the Spinbackup cloud-to-cloud backup service, wchich supports data in a number of Google products including Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos.

After posting, I found this article, which kind of confirms for me that Google Backup really ISN'T a backup.
There are four pillars:
Backing up. I use Spinbackup; it's a cloud-to-cloud backup with inbuilt cybersecurity tools. It audits all apps on how risky they are, suspends your accounts in case of ransomware and restores all files automatically. Very convenient.
Educate yourself. Read about the most common types of ransomware and phishing to be able to detect the red flags beforehand.
Monitor permissions and accesses. Dont provide dubious apps with access to your files, don't allow them to manage them.
Use software. Set up antivirus, anti-malware, anti-phishing for emails.
And of course, good prayer never hurt.
Spinbackp has a good Office 365 backup. The main idea is it's a cloud-to-cloud backup, which means that you can customize the data location. Besides, the support is quite nice.
Spinbackup is reasonably priced with a great dashboard that also supports personal accounts.
They use AWS for their backed and setup is a breeze.
Highly recommend and if you sign up I'd appreciate if you use our referral code.
