So, as I understand it, Google can't/won't read any of your emails or view/read any of your Google Docs. That said, if, for example, a G Suite user is signed into their account, opens a new tab, does a Google search, clicks on a link and watches a YouTube video, then yes, that history is recorded by Google. They have a way to clear it out, but they do record it and what, exactly they do with it I can't say.
That said, there is literally no way I am aware of for an employee to use Google Search and watch YouTube without Google knowing/tracking. An important distinction here is that in both cases (really), Google still only knows about what the search was, what link was clicked on, and what video was watched. They don't then go in and read your email to get ideas of what else to show you ads about.
To answer your other question, if you are at https://mail.google.com reading your GSuite email, that isn't tracked/no ads are shown/they don't scan your email. If you go off of Gmail to another site though, even some Google sites (like YouTube), all bets are off and they (and many other sites) might start tracking you.
Gsuite is less about tracking though and more about data privacy. Take HIPAA for example, HIPAA relates to reading/disclosing medical records that (for example) might be in your email or Google Docs if you were a medical office. HIPAA has no relation to if your sales guy spent the afternoon watching YouTube videos of cats. That information is not protected by HIPAA in any way.
Google lists what they consider their "core" services here:
https://gsuite.google.com/terms/user_features.html
With those things, you can expect privacy. With anything not listed (YouTube, Google Search, etc), you generally can't.
It's not always DNS, but it's the place to start.
Check MX records for all your domains using a DNS query (not using your cpanel) to make sure DNS servers around the world have received the correct records - DNS can take up to 48 hours to propagate. You can lower TTL for the MX records to help speed up propagation but it's not guaranteed, 5 mins (300s) is reasonable.
dig {YOURDOMAINNAME) mx
which will query the DNS server your device is using
dig @8.8.8.8 {YOURDOMAINNAME} mx
which queries google's public DNS resolvers
See below.
Customers that have 5 or more End Users will receive a total amount of Google Drive storage equal to 5TB times the number of End Users, with more storage available at Google's discretion upon reasonable request to Google.
Editing can only be done in the full contacts.google.com experience currently, which we know is a bit of a pain. It's on our backlog to support editing directly in the sidebar, thankfully!
Yeah, I've been looking at solutions as well and thought I had one (https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/workspace_recommendation_tool/598861787178) that I could use, but it was limited to free 1 sync license and then when I inquired about more licenses they said that the only way to get more licenses was to purchase full Workspace licensing from them. I have a huge 300K+ emails account that has been syncing using their tool all week to the Gmail account I setup.
I'm now looking at trying to setup a docker instance of imapsync, in the cloud, to do some additional transfers but this isn't going to help all of my less technical extended family that is all over the U.S. I've been considering telling them all that their only solution is to download a Google Takeout backup and just start fresh. It really sucks all around that's for sure. You'd think that Google could provide a no brains tool to transfer between their own services.
Ema aside, which seems like the easiest thing in the Google ecosystem to handle, I feel screwed on all of the other services. I still haven't found out how I can migrate many GBs of Drive data to a Google account. Simply sharing the Drive data to the Gmail account still gives me no way to transfer the ownership. I'm finding that the same problem exists in Google Keep. I can share a note but I have no ability to change the ownership and have to resort to copying the notes each manually to my Gmail account and then removing my access to the original note in the Google Workspace. What's stupid is that Google does low my to change the ownership of Calendar meetings from a Workspace account to a ail account. Their consistency in this regard is ridiculous.
G Suite doesn’t support adding custom fonts except for fonts from https://fonts.google.com. I don’t see an option to choose from their expanded library on mobile but I do see some of the fonts I’ve added in the past. I assume if you add one on a computer you’ll be able to see it on mobile, but that’s only a theory.
Yes. KeePass v2 has sync capabilities which means you can have multiple users working with the same database. The UI also allows for tabbed browsing of multiple databases so I can very easily have an operations database open alongside a support database, etc. You can also store more than just credentials with it and it allows for hierarchical organization of items. You can add additional features via plugins, as well.
Hexnode UEM is the all-in-one solution your business is looking for. It is a cloud-based G Suite EMM with which you can import GSuite users directly into the MDM portal and assign them with devices. Hexnode lets you manage iOS, macOS, tvOS, Android, and Windows devices. They can be managed fully or partially with work profiles and business containers.
Hexnode’s Apple Management does support adding custom messages on the lock screen along with other remote management features like remote ring, app management, lock device, clear password, power off/restart device, remote view and controls, etc.
It offers a comprehensive security suite that allows container removal in case of non-compliance, data loss prevention (DLP) measures, device theft protection, threat monitoring, app, and content security. It also has special templates of compliance features you can directly use for your organization. Hexnode offers all these features at a reasonable price range starting at 1$ per device.
So that we'll leave and spend our money elsewhere because we have no idea what features are coming?
I understand NDAs and I get keeping major game-changing announcements quiet, but hiding something like this makes no sense. Tech isn't static and giving your customers an idea of where things are going allows them to make informed decisions, often towards sticking with you. Calendly just rolled out an enterprise version that many companies are adopting, but they might not if they know that it would be built into their existing Google plan in a few months.
Contrast the two systems we use every day: Google and Xero
Outside of the limited immediate future disclosure on CCC, I honestly have no idea what's next for Workspace or Google. Xero on the other hand has published a detailed roadmap (https://www.xero.com/ca/partner-programs/partners/next-generation-practice/)
As a result of Google's non-disclosure, we've got annual contracts signed with Calendly, Slack and 365 Apps for Business, and we've implemented Unifi cameras across 5 sites. If I knew this change was coming, I might not have signed the Calendly one, and it's very likely that Google's working on solutions for the other 3 as well. But no information means I can't consider them and had to look elsewhere.
Xero's disclosure on the other hand resulted in us cancelling two major projects that would have gone to other vendors because the features we need will be available in it soon.
I know the sales team in our G Suite reseller company enjoys Copper. We don't use MailChimp, but it looks like they do have integration.
Did you by chance change the email settings with your domain reg? Check the tool.
MX Lookup Tool - Check your DNS MX Records online - MxToolbox
Let us know the resolution. I understand this is a GSuite site but for non-profits MS has better support package when stuff like this happens.
“It’s probably DNS.”
How long ago did you make those changes? The TLDR is that DNS updates (the changes you made at Shopify) are not instantly propagated worldwide, and in some cases can take 24-48h to fully propagate everywhere.
It’s very likely that shopifys email to you worked right away, because your initial DNS update was at Shopify- and it’s very likely their servers will be the first to use your new DNS entries.
Give it a few hours, and it should be golden, but we can verify:
If you’re on a Mac/Linux you can check via the terminal:
dig YOURDOMAIN.FOO -t mx
You can also check online: https://mxtoolbox.com/
This Will output what DNS sees for your domains MX records - if you see GSuite, all is well. If you don’t, either DNS hasn’t propagated fully, or there’s an issue.
It is an addon but id suggest using https://www.virtru.com/ - have been using it for the last few months without a hassle and works really well :)
If the other user does not have it they do require a pin but that's better than phone numbers I feel
Remember it's just a change to a newer chat service/tech and past messages/history are migrated so if you sent "Hello" as an instant message from GTalk to your friend sometime in 2005 that will still be there today..
Google Talk > Google Hangouts > Google Chat
and just like Hangouts before you can use Chat separately
Why are you comparing GCPW to MS InTune? GCPW is an credential provider for Windows so users can login to their Windows PCs with their Google credentials, while InTune is an endpoint management platform. You should compare InTune to Google's Endpoint Management Platform: https://workspace.google.com/intl/en/products/admin/endpoint/
GAM + a pivot table perhaps. But this would be static, the export represents a snapshot in time.
I don't think it's what you're looking for but this simple Groups Directory service can be handy. https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/groups_directory/378383824115
I can input a User and get a list of all their Groups as one example use case.
based on this https://workspace.google.com/terms/standard_terms.html Google only has to give you 30-days notice should they decide to stop offering the service.
My 5 cents for this discussion:
list Google Drive free option in the web app https://movefiles.app or Google Drive add-on on the Google Workspace Marketplace.
The latest Workspace pricing page says, "Enterprise plan customers have 5 TB of pooled storage per user and can request additional storage if needed by contacting Google Support."
So, when you need more, just request it.
Ok guys I figured out how to get this to work. I accidentally sent a test email to every single email address (+1000) in my company while researching so I hope this helps someone else too.
The addresses will now auto-populate in when typing them out.
I'd always suggest looking at the reviews on the Google Marketplace or other review sites such as Capterra.
Patronum gets 5-star reviews. 👍
Not I. I also tried Outlook and instantly gave up when I found that even with Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook installed, autocomplete on Outlook did not work for all email addresses at the university where I was taking classes. Meanwhile, mail.google.com worked flawlessly. Bye bye, Outlook.
If you're serious about valuing privacy then Workspace offers that over consumer Google accounts. No ads, and your data cannot be used by Google for anything other than what you instruct them to do via the use of their services.
The data processing amendment for Workspace does not apply to consumer Gmail accounts:
Depending on your version of Workspace you have a bunch of tools at your disposal (if you're on Enterprise).
Creating an Allowlist for domain sharing is a powerful way to ensure external sharing can only be done with approved external domains. Additionally, you can layer in DLP to scan for specific types of confidential or restricted content to prevent external sharing on those items as well.
However, Drive is only a piece of this puzzle since the same kind of data exfiltration can be achieved via Chat, Gmail, etc. I would highly recommend reviewing the guidance in the Google Workspace security white paper:
https://workspace.google.com/learn-more/security/security-whitepaper/page-8.html
If you have a dedicated Google Partner as your reseller we are often able to provide a security assessment to cover all the bases.
After comparing all available services in addition to email hosting, it comes down to minute cost and preference. Both have email hosting services and browser based Office Suites that are fully accessible from multiple operating systems in addition to many other services.
I think you meant to compare Exchange Online VS Google Workspace email hosting. Both have web based access as well as access using Email clients (Outlook/Thunderbird/Alpine) for desktop computers and mobile devices. Both also have web based access to an Office Suite of tools (word processing, spreadsheet and others)
Microsoft 365 is the Microsoft Office Suite of software $12/month per user subscription cost.
Google has their own "free" web based spreadsheet, word processing app & associated suite of software. Microsoft also offers a "free" browser based version of their Office Suite
Both services offer additional Group Meeting & Business features that should be compared to see which is more suitable for your environment and future needs.
When comparing email hosting costs they are similar, you can add Exchange mailboxes for $4/$8/$12.50/Month/user with 50GB mail storage and 1TB shared online file storage. Storage options can be increased for an additional fee.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-ww/microsoft-365/exchange/compare-microsoft-exchange-online-plans
Google Workspace Email is $6/$12/$18+ for email storage 30GB to 2 TB (includes Drive file storage)
https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html
Keep in mind that the logins created with each service also create a Microsoft Account or Google account which will give access to additional individual and business services.
Pricing page says this: "*Google will provide an initial 5 TB of pooled storage for each user. Customers who want additional storage can request it as needed by contacting Google Support."
u/Palindromeadin...
It's not only a massive security risk, and breaks data privacy laws as the ability to audit and trace who did what becomes impossible, it is directly forbidden in the Workspace Acceptable Use Policy. Multiple individuals are not allowed to have access to the same account.
It feels silly to let the subsidiary force the entire company into using a third party system for IM, instead of just using the system that the larger company does.
They can keep using Teams for their internal work, but when communicating with the mother corporation they should use what is used there. Or stick to email.
Problem is, Chat/Spaces isn't free. It requires a licence that costs.
Unless the subsidiary is really small. Then perhaps they could use Essentials Starter (for free) just to get access to Chat (and actually most other Googley things).
That doesn't touch their emailing and O365; it just gives them access to a lot of Google's services too, using the same address.
Alternatively, afaik, Teams is both free and allows guests, so mother corp users may not really need O365 identities. If an O365 identity is needed, then don't assign any licences apart from Teams = no cost.
You can test it with an individual, so no need to spend cash to verify what can be done. Just need a willing O365 users to manage the Teams side.
Most likely a Google user can't initiate anything in Teams, so group chats and all that will have to be set up and managed on the O365 side.
sadly no, Google Calendar really only allows for My Calendars / Other Calendars. There are 3rd party apps though like GCalExtras (https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/gcalextras/338335660766) that provides extra functionality such as saving/loading groups of calendars.
Sure! When I first started out I used Form ranger to populate dropdown lists on a form from a column in a spreadsheet. It works pretty well.
If I were going to do something new I'd write my own code in google app script. If you know a little javascript it's not hard to change options on a dropdown list. That way would give you a little more control over how your lists were populated.
I wrote a GIFT quiz editor extension. If you can convert your sheet data to GIFT questions, you can semi-automatically create the form by importing them. It may save you some clicking.
On paper there is no more unlimited, even for Enterprise Standard/Plus, just:
> Customers that have 5 or more End Users will receive a total amount of Google Drive storage equal to 5TB times the number of End Users, with more storage available at Google's discretion upon reasonable request to Google.
In practice the limits aren't enforced (just as they weren't enforced with Gsuite under 5 users, where you had theoretically just 1TB/user too).
Note that you're in the wrong post, this is about Gsuite Legacy, this is the free product for families coming from before the days of Gsuite Business; these don't get more space or generally services (compared with free Gmail/Google accounts) apart from being able to use your customized domain (which you pay/own/admin/host separately). In fact there are many services that aren't offered or just get disabled randomly for no rhyme or reason. Anyway the point is that the problem here is migrating from some free accounts to costs that can be well into high hundreds of dollars or even thousands of dollars annually (again, without storing 200TBs or anything, just for a bunch of partly neutered free google accounts).
The forced migration from Gsuite Business to Workspace something is happening too, but the pain points are mostly different (will the unlimited stay, how many users you need, how much will be the price difference, etc.).
If you don’t want to build something yourself (I recommend using the APIs in Google Scripts), have a look at this (I’ve used it and it works great):
https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/save_emails_and_attachments/513239564707
I don't think you're gonna have any choice on this, unless you want to pay.
I thought, even if you upgrade and pay, you lose the Google Voice number - but I'm not positive about that. I thought it was because Workspace doesn't "come with" GV. I think it's an additional service... so an additional cost on top of the $6/month/user.
https://workspace.google.com/products/voice/
Hi there, we have an add-on that might be able to help with this, it's called Portant Data Merge and enables you to customise documents from spreadsheets or forms, and share them via Gmail. You could use it to share documents and add a custom code to the Certificate PDF? https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/portant\_data\_merge/1016888648275
There are costs associated with having custom email domains.
If you are an apple iCloud Plus person, you can add custom domains to that account. There are probably other services as well. Or you can upgrade to a paid google account.
You got 12 years of free usage. So did I. I upgraded to a paid plan.
FormMule and a few formulas should work fine.
Set it to send an email on every trigger as long as one cell is empty.
Then trigger it once a day.
When you get delivery you tick the box. Next run it will not send an email.
Found a reliable solution.
The only downside is the extra load of the ‘’’accounts’’’ app on the way to the destination app.
Populate Docs add-on for forms has been solving this kind of problem for us for 5+ years. The field names are clunky to debug but it gets the job done.
I think the type of card issued by Wise depends on the country where it's issued, even though it always behaves as a debit card.
If you're curious about the card type, this Android app shows some information of NFC tags, including contactless cards: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nxp.taginfolite
My wise card says "Visa Credit Card" / "Label: Visa Prepaid".
Over the last couple of days I have been migrating emails from G-Suite over to a selfhosted Mailcow instance. https://mailcow.email/
As for photos, I'm using Nextcloud but may change to something more tailored towards photos in the future.
I'm a little worried about what's going to happen with all my google purchases - I have spent thousands over the years on various playstore apps/movies.
put her domain in mxtoolbox and see what error comes up
looks like you are missing an MX record for whatever reason. Or your DNS provider doesn't like google domains and is blocking requests...
on windows start a command line and type
nslookup
set q=mx
domain.ext
and see the result (domain.ext is your wifes domain)
linux and mac would use
dig MX domain.ext
I would never give my credentials to the registrar to anyone. Perhaps you can create an account with permission to just edit the DNS. Otherwise, separate your registrar and DNS by using something like Google Cloud DNS or Cloudflare. With these services you can give only the permission they need to add DNS entries.
https://simplelogin.io/docs/getting-started/send-email/
It says here you need to create a "reverse-alias" for each of the contacts you need to send emails to.
(I'm assuming you're using Gmail for your emails)
Do you currently have problems with phishing and email security? Because Google's usually pretty damn good with phishing and scam emails. If you are having issues, I'd recommend making sure your domain's properly configured for emails. Things like SPF, DMARC and DKIM being improperly configured can cause issues, though.
I you're not sure, I'd recommend reading through ProtonMail's Anti-spoofing for custom domains post. It's for adding custom domains to ProtonMail, but the information regarding anti-spoofing for email is still valid for Gmail.
I'm not a big fan of using 3rd party software with emails, as it tends to become a whole security hole in itself.
Honestly, if they added domain support to the product already called Google One, it would be worth it.
https://one.google.com/about/plans Can't sign up (or even view the listed plams) if logged into Chrome with a gsuite account but it's $1.99/month for 100 GB storage that can be shared with 5 people. If they add email with a custom domain, I can't imagine many people here would be bothered about having to move over to Google One and keep everything at Google for a reasonable price vs. losing things even free Google accounts have.
Push notifications are more a Chrome and operating feature. Not really a Workspace feature.
What industry and type of scheduling are you doing? Without knowing your needs maybe https://calendly.com/ will work?
not good idea. in my case for example I have an account in mailbox.org that forwards all emails to my gmail account. Then I use smtp.mailbox.org as send as feature in gmail.
I’d recommend re-creating your mailbox first @ gandi so you can receive emails at it.
Second thing I’d do is convert that unmanaged google account to a Cloud Identity account and convert the google account to a gmail account .
Signup for Cloud Identity here:
https://workspace.google.com/signup/gcpidentity/welcome#0
Once you’ve verified your domain, and you can access admin.google.com and create a user and cut your MX records over using Gandi dns.
Once done and your happy wait 1-2 days and then go to domains.google and request a transfer.
I’d recommend doing it this way so you can change the primary email in the future. If you move to google domains first you can’t change the primary domain which means you’ll have to renew it forever or have to migrate Google Workspace and it’ll just be a massive pain.
To be honest I’d keep your domain with Gandi - too Amit reports of google blocking or dropping access to your account.
Google actually offers something similar as a paid service called Workspace Essentials. That services also comes with meet, Drive, and a bunch of other stuff… just no emails
https://workspace.google.com/essentials/
>> Google Workspace Essentials is built for teams and organizations that have an existing email and calendar solution in place. It’s designed to coexist and integrate with your current tools, while also giving you access to Google Meet for enterprise-grade video calling, Google Drive for secure cloud storage, and Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides for content creation and collaboration. And all you need to get started is your company email address.
>> If you need Gmail, Calendar, or custom email for your business, Google Workspace would be the right choice for you.
Chill, indeed! There's a lot of pissed off people in here and /u/CerealKiller415 has decided to step in the middle and try to protect them with half-assed excuses.
Anyway, your post pointed me in the right direction. I had signed up a long time ago. The service was called google apps. Here's the TOS from the time I signed up. Relevant:
>3. Fees.
The Service is provided at no charge to Customer provided that Customer agrees that Google may (a) add optional services to Customer or its End Users for a fee or (b) offer a premium version of the Service for a fee.
You can use OK Goldy add-on with Google sheet to bulk add aliases to your users
https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/ok_goldy/939946549872
Watch this video for installation instructions: https://youtu.be/t8dZ7S7avig
It's not free, and I haven't used it, but there's Kanbanchi that seems pretty popular and is fully integrated into the G Workspace ecosystem.
/u/LoveTechHateTech they also provide a 50% discount to nonprofits and edu, so maybe a solution you'd want to look into as well?
You need to configure that email for each user and have it set as "Not an alias".
gam user sendas "Info - Kevin" gam user sendas "Info - Peter" gam user sendas "Info - Laura"
The user probably wants to set "Reply from the same address to which the message was sent" from the account settings page so they aren't responding from their personal email.
Then the user would Reply to All which would include and also post to the group
You guys are talking about two different services with the same name.
The newer one was supposed to lead to the sunset of the old Pay and has social and banking features.
Did you look at ProductHunt Alternatives ? They call out Slab / Notion 2.3 / Stonly Knowledge Base / HelpCrunch Knowledge Base / Free Knowledge Base by Dashly / Mindmesh (Spot) / Due.work (Legacy) / Promptly / FROGED Knowledge Base / Trove / Knowledge Base by LabiKnow / Knowledge Base …. But I don’t know which integrate with Google Workspace
Checkout spaceli.io and its lacking in a lot of details about how it works.
If you use Alfred (would recommend, it's Spotlight but supercharged), there's a Google Drive workaround that maintains it's own index and gives you similar behaviour and functionality: https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/guides-and-tutorials/google-drive-workflow/
I literally just helped someone with this. She needed a fast, easy, free solution so we went with recording things w/ ShareX (which is also a fantastic tool for screenshots, captures, all sorts of stuff).
Google Workspace is a great service, but the user directory is not a great replacement for purpose-built directory services such as AAD and even some SAML directories like onelogin and okta.
https://jumpcloud.com/blog/replace-exchange-and-active-directory
Depends mostly on your definition of the word “Secure” and your definition of “sensitive information”.
Some companies don’t like the idea of cloud file storage unless everything is encrypted and ONLY they hold the decryption keys. This is sometimes known as “Zero knowledge” or “host-proof” storage.
Google Drive, by default, is not this level of private storage since Google still holds ac decryption hey for your files. There are, however, ways to fully encrypt Google Drive contents.
Google has client-side encryption available: https://support.google.com/docs/answer/10519333?hl=en
There are also third-party tools : https://www.virtru.com/google-drive-encryption/
I think https://rclone.org/ would do the trick for you.
One option it has is that it can do a cloud to cloud copy. You'd still need to download and upload the content so it may not be the fastest option, especially with daily (300GB I think?) limits.
I think if you have any sort of hosted server provided by Google you could run rclone on that and I believe that lets you bypass the limit as well as benefitting from the additional speed of their infrastructure.
Here are the current service terms:… So be careful. With only 3 users, z google is not claiming you will get additional free storage upon request. (But you might)
https://workspace.google.com/terms/user_features.html
> Customers that have 5 or more End Users will receive a total amount of Google Drive storage equal to 5TB times the number of End Users, with more storage available at Google's discretion upon reasonable request to Google. Customers that have received a Google for Nonprofits discount or have 4 or fewer End Users will receive 1TB storage in total for Google Drive, Google Photos, and Gmail combined for each End User.
This suggestion is not ideal. You would have to do this step each time you have a new list of names, and it won't maintain separate fields for first/middle/last names. But it's easier than putting all the names in by hand in the Forms editor, and probably easier than learning Google Apps Script and experimenting with another solution.
Use the GIFT Quiz Editor add-on to import a multiple-choice question (like a quiz) that has the list of people (generated programmatically). The GIFT format would look like:
Select the person { =Ingrid Penelope Daily ~Edgar Allen Poe ~John Peter Smith }
Note regarding the format: the first entry =
is to indicate a single "correct" answer as opposed to ~
which signifies an incorrect answer. These are only used in automatically graded quizzes. However, you should probably use this so the form doesn't allow for more than one selection.
This approach would allow you to "Append" a multiple-choice question to your form (quiz), which you can then change manually to a drop-down in the editor.
I don't think you'll be able to keep a separation of first/middle/last in the form data. But you could encode the names (e.g., Edgar/Allen/Poe). I don't think a space is a good separator for names (if a student has multiple middle names, they probably get entered in that single field with a space between them?), but it depends on your data. You separate the names later.
Disclaimer: my students and I wrote this add-on; it started as a senior project years ago.
We really need a FAQ for this
https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html
If you’re on an Annual/Fixed-Term Plan, your current G Suite subscription will continue until your renewal date.
Workspace Business Starter edition ($6 or 5.20€) Changes (Downgrade)
Admin control of Chat features—You can no longer control whether history is on or off. You also can’t let users automatically accept Chat invitations. Advanced endpoint management—You can’t set up company-owned Android devices or selectively distribute apps to Android devices. Sharing with external people—You can no longer stop users from sharing links or files with people outside of your organization.
Like this? If you are looking for adoption metrics you can use Reports API to write to CSV/sheet and then do some visualization in data studio.

I worked on a project with forms and the Populate Docs Add-on, but I am not sure if it's still working. The automation was robust, but it's not a dashboard. It's one Google Doc per form submission. But formatting of wide fields was great.
Tired that but it didn't work i think due to the users being Automatically suspended , i don't know why though reactivating option is not available also https://snipboard.io/ohFjLf.jpg any thoughts what could have costed ?
UPDATE: In case anyone else is looking for this, we used a company called CloudHQ with tremendous success.
Shared resources in Dropbox copied over to Share Drives in Google Workspace no problem. We had to set permissions, but we already had Google Workspace well fitted to use Google Groups for this.
Dropbox folders owned by users transferred over no problem. As long as the users who had access to the folders in Dropbox had Google Workspace license that matched their Dropbox email, the shared access carried over.
Overall very fast process, we were able to get everything done in a week, but could have done a few days if we needed to.
>Is there any way to synchronize changed to a local folder to a shared drive? I'm in great need, as it needs to be in a shared drive. Thanks a lot.
Rclone can be used for the job. https://rclone.org/drive/
Did you create your own client ID and secret?
https://rclone.org/drive/#making-your-own-client-id
Looks like you may be running into rate limiting. If you are using --drive-server-side-across-configs, size shouldn't really be an issue but the number of files might though I haven't run into queries per second limit.
In a command line.
rclone is a very mighty tool that can handle almost every operation on any kind of cloud storage.
Due to the hugh amount of files I also suggest to add `--fast-list` to the paramters later on ;)
Patronum uses the new People API to create and sync Google Contacts. At $8 per user per year it's the most cost effective solution on the Google Marketplace.
https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/patronum_the_google_workspace_manager/824001351376
If you already confirm that your subscription is active and the domain verified, I would recommend using a different browser since sounds like a browser/cache or extension redirection issue. Try a different browser and access it directly through drive.google.com or mail.google.com.
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#settings/accounts
Then set up the Send Mail As stuff, and make whatever one you want as the default. And at any time you can send as whatever address you want. No "on behalf of" stuff.
The Collaborative Inbox is a nice concept but the service does not get much love from Google. Google Groups in general gets very little attention. Google has recently added new functionality at the Enterprise and Cloud Identity Premium but not in any direction that helps your use case.
I always found adoption to be a challenge with Collab Inboxes so congrats there!
I was excited about Collab Inboxes when they first came out (Exchange Shared Mailboxes are extremely popular and people want something similar when they change to G Suite) but they just weren't user friendly enough and it required managing multiple inbox locations mail.google.com & groups.google.com ... never got much traction.
Soooo .... long story short, 3rd party, paid services became the go-to ... Hiver and Gmelius primarily (although I'm sure there other good options as well). Very good at what they do if you can justify the additional cost.
I am not really sure what your want to achieve. Are you talking about signing in at a specific web address or are you taking about signing in at https://mail.google.com with different accounts, that have different maildomains of a g suite with multiple Domains?
Once the allow users to edit names is active, just have them head to here and edit their names for each email https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/accounts
If you use Gmail, you could create a new filter for messages from them or to the email address. Then, you can have those messages archived, sent to a folder, deleted, or whatever you want to do.
Also, you could simply block the sender in Gmail.
No. You can only set up some redirects from your mail.example.com domain to mail.google.com.
The good thing is though, even if your domain is down, your mail server will be up and running! :P
You can send mails using another domain. You need login to the primary domain, then in gmail, add the other domain in the settings.
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/3/?tab=wm&ogbl#settings/accounts
then you can send out emails on the other domain or domains.
You have to add the domain to your gmail.
Go to https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?tab=rm&ogbl#settings/general
then go to Accounts
then add another email address from that other domain. You can then send out mail using that domain. Generally I think most email clients are smart enough to send it out on the proper email address, or Google is. Either way, you can figure out the rest.
> Is it possible to adjust the Google Contacts settings to disable contact information being stored automatically?

This is unfortunately a per-person level setting that is in Gmail Settings. There is no API for it, meaning that you would need to instruct users to turn this off.

mail.google.com > Settings > Create contacts for auto-complete:
I'll Add Contacts Myself > Save
Not sure how tech savy you are. But how about not using Gsuite and getting a Digital Ocean Droplet and running your own email server using Mail In A Box That way your paying for the server rather then the users using gmail?
Try installing going back a version to Thunderbird 78 instead - that's the one those extensions were designed for.
Link to the Mozilla site for most recent version of 78: https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/78.13.0/releasenotes/
91 just came out at the end of August, so all the extensions haven't had the chance to update and catch up yet.
Free free to DM if you need more help! I may not respond quickly though haha
That solution using "OnTopReplica" worked for me.
PS. the language is Brazillian Portuguese, but easy to understand.
Sounds like your MX records might be out of whack…. Maybe check how they look from the internet and report back?
Hint: they should look exactly like this: https://i.imgur.com/s69JHdt.jpg
Plug your sending domain in here:
https://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
Then if that comes back clean, find an outgoing email that DID get blocked. Look at the headers. Find the sending IP address. Then plug that IP into the above search tool.
If you're on a black list, it's not good, but at least it's a start towards identifying the issue.
Hey, def get some help on this. I have had good interactions with the team at Promevo they are a Google reseller.
Also run your domain through this tool. It should identify any delivery issues. It's most probably SPF not configured.
Just to clarify, for some reason I thought that the contacts that were not receiving the emails were internal.
Can you confirm if external contacts can receive emails? Can Internal contact receieve email?
Check your domain here - https://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
We had a situation a few years ago where the mail relay had not been secured and some spam wankers used it and got us blacklisted.
it's your MX records. It's worth educating yourself on how email flow works on the internet and the ins and outs of DNS. I'm a Google Workspace (G Suite) and Office 365 reseller and you wouldn't believe the number of web devs that are totally happy to break their client's email :)
Understanding these subjects would put you a step ahead of a lot of the web devs out there.
When setting up a Google Workspace or Office 365 account you should always implement SPF and DKIM as well. When clients come to us and we let them know these things aren't set up, they're not very happy with their web people that didn't implement these simple features that prevent their mail from getting flagged as spam.
mxtoolbox.com is a great tool for checking in on DNS settings and checking whether there are issues with the setup. Since DNS records are public, anyone who knows how to use tools like mxtoolbox.com can see whether the setup you did is professional, or missing these details.
Hope this helps!
if you are not receiving any bouncebacks from other o365 customers/recipients, the problem is likely on the recipients' end.
https://mxtoolbox.com/deliverability
if you are getting bounce backs from other domains, i would triple check your SPF/DKIM/DMARC settings. you can use mxtoolbox, or have someone send you an email and confirm that SPF/DKIM/DMARC all show PASS.
Hey, Brandon with JumpCloud here — worth mentioning, we steeply discount pricing for education, starting at only $2 per user. https://jumpcloud.com/education-highered-directory-service-pricing. I'm not in sales, but feel free to let me know if I can help, I'm happy to make intros.
You need to look at your Hostmonster account to see what you pay for.
You should be able to downgrade it to just handle your domain registration, which is about 10-20$ / year.. As long as you can access the DNS settings for your domain, GSuite can continue to function.
If Hostmonster doesn't let you reduce this cost, migrate your domain to namecheap.com or similar, and you'll be able to keep everything working with just your annual domain renewal and your monthly or annual gsuite cost
WebDrive would be a good solution for you and you wouldn't have to worry about this issue at all. If you want select files/folders to be stored locally (or run a sync job), you can choose to do that, but WebDrive allows you to not sync anything you dont want. Frees up tons of local space. I use it and am really happy.
Although GDrive is releasing metadata at some point, here's a solution that works now that works through a Chrome Extension. For what it's worth, I've developed this product because solutions like GDrive, Gmail, Dropbox, Slack and others do not offer tagging within their solution let alone across them to create Universal tags.
An Attendance Report with the data you mention is automatically sent to all organisers with Enterprise licence. It's also available in the Meet Quality Tool. Also, for all sessions that are recorded the chat is sent to the organiser; in unformatted CSV format, which makes it easier to work with, regardless of where you want the data to end up.
