Many of those 84 are not fully converted; since lacking APIs they are missing sometimes important futures.
And Session Manager and Tab Mix Plus (not converted addons) out of 6 APIs needed for session manager functionality got 2 in FF57 and 1 in FF58. Other APIs are not even assigned yet. Tab Mix Plus developer is working on addon (which will be missing a lot of futures):

Session Manager will be prepared once all APIs will be ready:

In my case, the most important broken ones are:
Also, themes apparently can now only change the colors and not the layout? I like compact themes, and those suddenly no longer exist.

It's just a compile flag. A lot of patience is the most important thing :P And apparently Tab Groups are half broken in 58, so I'll have to check how bad it actually is before I upgrade. But I'm hoping to be able to switch back to Nightly asap. It looks like TMP will be supported on Nightly for the time being, Tab hiding should be pretty close, and while I really want my status bar and detest the default page overlay browsers are using nowadays, it's not necessarily a dealbreaker, I think. So I'm hopeful to be a Nightly user again soon :)
Apparemment, non. Il faut attendre que les devs qui bossent dessus le mettent à jour.

I contributed. I hope the developer gets is able to convert it to a web extension soon because not having multiple rows of tabs sucks. The future of Tab Mix Plus
> Tab Mix Plus -> a port is in the works.
It won't be even close to ready when Fx 57 comes though, which is basically what he was saying. And lots of functionality isn't possible yet (TMP is probably going to need the toolbar API to create its own tab bar). There was a new version recently, and its update page says:
> Firefox 57 drops support for all legacy add-ons, including Tab Mix Plus. From Firefox 57 onwards, Firefox will not install Tab Mix Plus. > It is currently unclear when Tab Mix Plus as a WebExtension will be ready.

I had a short look at what it does, and I think it should be possible to port. But of course, someone has to do the work.
>They killed a lot of AddOns, some just because they are not maintained anymore and will not be ported to the new Chromified way of Addons.
well yea, you cannot multiprocess firefox and still keep old addons. Chrome just so happens to have the largest plugin ecosystem that is compatible in a multi process setting
>It seems all their changes are "become more like Chrome", and removing customizability. The new version's UI is horrible, and the menu items went from single action words to full sentences, it's cluttered and it takes me a lot longer to find options.
>They forced the swapped tab and URL bar placement onto users. Changing that requires not only about:config changes, it actually needs CSS fixes to not be jumping around or be completly broken.
They are adding back those addon features.
Go vote on it for tabmixplus

It is not chrome. FF added back tree style tab, containers and more ways to block tracking.

Mozilla is slowly adding back on features to the plugin system. The only way to make it faster is to vote on it so your pet feature gets a higher priority.
I don't know, never used it for real. I just remember that I tried it many many years ago and I was not really interested.
I found this link that may have the answer for you:
Because it can be with the Tab Mix Plus extension:
>Controls the display of Tab Bar
>Position (select one) - Select the location for the tab bar
> Top
> Bottom

I've been looking for a fix myself, haven't found one that works, but I am using Firefox Portable so not sure if files have to be put in different folders...
Here are some things I found:

Also please, an export of your preferences for Tab Mix Plus.
Waterfox 56.2.2 on FreeBSD-CURRENT with Tab Mix Plus 0.5.0.5pre.180718a1 and other extensions.
Restored a ~111-tab session twice. Once, allowing Tab Mix Plus to use the built-in session restore feature of Waterfox; once without that option.
No blanks.

I'm not a rapist, but fuck you!
Some are already OK. For some 1-2 years with limited functionality (if APIs approved by Mozilla will be prepared). Some addons never.
See example: http://tabmixplus.org/support/troubleshooting/data/legacy-tabmix.html
Then the site is using some JavaScript trickery instead of a plain a
link. Those situations probably need to be handled on a per-site basis, having the script stick the URL from window.open into the href attribute or whatever's needed
As I recall, the legacy Tab Mix Plus was able to do this globally, but I haven't seen any alternatives to it..
There are also situations where you probably can't open a new tab no matter what, because the link in question needs to perform an action on the page you're viewing (e.g. the "reply" link below comments here on Reddit, which opens the reply box).
Few days after my post here a new version of Tab Mix Plus was released (version 0.5.0.4pre.170625a1 with the change log here - the error, that I think was causing it, is described here as "It add extra space that if you click does nothing"). After updating it, everything works as expected.
Solution in my case: I have the add-on 'TabMixPlus' (TMP) installed, and found out that disabling TMP restored the functionality of the close button of the firefox window. A little trial and error also revealed that the session manager in TMP maybe the culprit, which is easy to disable: in the TabMixPlus Options window, under 'Session' tick 'Use Firefox's built-in Session Restore feature' and everything runs as expected.
On the TMP forum it is also suggested that using the latest development build of the add-on solves the issue (http://tabmixplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19878). I haven't tried that myself, and probably will wait for a final update, as the TMP dev. build still has other issues.
