Converted to .gif with probably the worst way ever, but I don't know how to computer.
Vegas > Render as Sequence > IrfanView > Batch Convert to .gif, combine with UnFREEZ
If anyone's interested, I converted the .jpg files to .gif files with Windows Paint and then compiled them into an animated gif with UnFREEz. Had to fiddle with the frame delay a few times (I settled on 30 cs).
I have too much free time.
The actual process I followed was more complicated, though. I put every frame together with Inkscape, saving them as .png files. Then I noticed that I had a lot of inapplicable colours in the legend that only would have confused people (for instance, I had a colour reserved for a Social Credit minority, which has never happened). So I used GIMP (which is also free) to convert the edited .png frames to .gif frames. Then I used my favourite .gif animation program, UnFREEz, to create the final, animated result you see here.
Hope you don't mind, I replicated your ordering and used UnFREEz to compile the frames without any noise. http://i.imgur.com/tHjet.gif
Thank you for the re-ordering, I hadn't noticed that they were out of order until I saw your version.
I always use unFREEz to make animated GIFs. Very simple to use. Open program, drag individual GIF frames in the order you want, set length & a few other paramaters and then click Make. http://www.whitsoftdev.com/unfreez/
Presuming by "composite" you mean what I do by "time lapse" then yes, that's exactly what I'll be doing, and have done before with Jupiter, for example.
Shoot X frame AVI. Wait Y minutes. Shoot another X frame AVI....lather, rinse, repeat.
Then, stack each AVI as its own image.
Then use some software...I've had good luck with UnFREEz before...to assemble an animated GIF of the process. :)
For making small, avatar type gif. files I quite like UnFreez. It is extremely lightweight freeware and very easy to use. It doesn't degrade the image quality or add any crappy watermarks like every other freeware or online-type application I've tried.
