It really depends on you and your situation.
For example, for us we excluded:
Favors (It seems like this tradition is dying out in my area. The last four weddings I’ve been to did not have favours and no one seemed to mind.)
Save the Dates (This was particular to us and may not work for everyone, but there are no guests from out of town invited other than my grandparents and one friend. Everyone else lives within like an hour of the venue so we don’t need STDs to give people a huge advance notice on the wedding date. We’re just sending invites out five months before, and I called my grandparents and my one out of state friend to let them prepare for the date. Another tip to save money: use online invites if you can, and if you do want to buy stationary invites see if you can wait for a big sale! I ended up buying stationary invites but I waited until Cyber Monday and got a huge deal.)
Videographer (This is a huge trend right now and for some reason we just don’t care a bunch about it. I’m hoping we don’t regret it but for now we’re saving a lot.)
Photo booth (Sorry, I just think they’re so cheesy! And they tend to be expensive. If you still want an area for guests to take photos, there are inexpensive alternatives such as this blog or this blog or this blog )
