It's never too late to start using a password manager. One tip is to add one password at a time, so the next time you're logging on to what ever site it is then add the password to the password manager - and change it too if you like. Adding 200 passwords in one go is a bit of a hassle.
When it comes to VPN I'm using from the Darknet Diaries is using it and advertising it too. Now you have two to start testing out.
Best of luck! And welcome to the secure side of the Internet. We have tasty cookies
Mullvad gets pushed a lot due to user satisfaction.
That said, both and Perfect Privacy are very good VPNs, I included them both on the thread of my recommendations. But perhaps OVPN feels more polished for general use. This isn't to say it's better or worse than PP, but I feel it caters to another type of audience.
yes. Try to find a host that supports anonymous payments, or even host a Tor exit relay at home, but behind a privacy VPN that supports port forwarding like . I tried that once and it worked just fine
With OpenVPN (in connection with as VPN Provider), I had a stable connection
So use OpenVPN with your VPN provider.... Don't listen to other people, use what works best for your setup. Easy.
Thanks for your answers (didn't want to hijack this post, but hopefully your answers will align with it's idea).
Just a note, some VPN providers, e.g. , so it's sort of a middleground
Yes Please use either a FreeVPN like Opera's build in one or UrbanVPN Extention which is also free, alternatively good paid VPNs are . We hopefully fix the Block on certain Providers soon. ~Owner
I too recommend , speeds are as fast as ExpressVPN, though to be honest streaming isn’t the best, they were the first for RAM servers and they were one of the first for WireGuard, Good interview with the CEO here -
No plan is foolproof but in your position I wouldn't be comfortable doing this with a free VPN. If you cannot spend the 5€ then check the usual VPN recommendations for trials or refund options. Particularly because if you'll torrent old movies from TPB you could really benefit from a VPN with port forwarding. Check these options: Mullvad, IVPN, and Perfect Privacy.
No, but they have been audited by Cure53. I don't think is safer than Mullvad, or the other way around. I think both are very solid choices in that regard, but I still say Mullvad gets ahead in bang for the buck.
Only IVPN, Mullvad, , Perfect Privacy and PIA have port forwarding and no logging evidence (thread here. You should be fine with any of these. Avoid others.

Can you elaborate on this? I have seen something similar with , no matter what country you choose, when you visit youtube it always appears as if you were in Sweden. Any idea why this happens?
Their speed is high, if you don't really care about having just a few countries you should be fine. You can find more info about them in a post I did in /r/vpnreviews where I compare them with other. EDIT: the post is 'My experience with '
