Can't buy tickets, but the schedule is very easy to understand and it hooks into the caltrain twitter so you can look up delays.
Back when I had to commute regularly, I would occasionally listen to Caltrain Radio in using the Caltrain (Interprone) app under News > Radio button. Not sure if that's still working, so nice to see another URL option.
Yes you can, and what people have left out is there is a caltrain app (android and ISO) that is super easy to use. Enter starting station and destination and if gives you times and what not. Cal Train in one line. North or South. Hard to fuck it up.
And the final detail is the you can drink alcohol on the train. Not at the station but on the train. Like a free american. They have bathrooms too.
From San Jose Diridon to San Franisco its 1h 35min, on the bullet train its 1h 3min.
